Went here tonight for the first time and it was a good experience! We had a reservation and it was still super busy, we were squeezed into a little table area and it was a tight fit but overall a beautiful restaurant. The food was great and had good portions. Our server was friendly and always on top of refilling drinks. Good atmosphere, we tried some dessert and it wasn't anything spectacular for the price but it was still good. (Brookie sundae was a fun dessert but wish the actual brownie/cookie part was warmed up or on a separate plate, it got cold with ice cream on it) The parking lot is very small and we had to use the valet service, and it is a "fancier" pricier atmosphere but the food and service is worth it if you're looking for a nice night out. Stopped in for a date night and sat at the bar. Pleasant service from beginning to end. We shared the little gem Cesar salad which was perfectly tossed in dressing (most restaurants sometimes struggle with this balance). I had the spicy rigatoni no meat sub spicy broccolini. It was an 8/10 (needed a little more seasoning for me). My husband had the chicken parm with finger lining potatoes and spicy broccolini. The sides were fresh, hot, and tasty. Our beverages were also made well (Espresso Martini and Marco Polo). The atmosphere and service definitely felt intentional and fresh. My best friend and I came last night for a 7:30pm reservation. We were seated immediately for a (very small) table for two - which we understand, just such a small table to accommodate the expansive menu! Because of that, we decided to order one thing at a time and just share. We started with the heirloom tomatoes and burrata. It was DELICIOUS!! The Calabrian vinaigrette was seriously phenomenal! Next we tried the little gem Caesar salad - also absolutely delicious and appreciate our server Max having it split for us. For dinner, we shared the spicy penne vodka and the spicy meatball pizza with a side of the Calabrian honey (I'm not kidding, this stuff is what dreams are made of). Everything we ate was SO good. The only thing we didn't love was the white wine menu - we love "crispy" sauv blancs, but major kudos to Max and the bartender for letting us try several before deciding. Now, for service - Max was GREAT! He was knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations, and really took the time to make the experience great. I want to preface that I've been to North Italia on multiple different occasions and locations but I've never had a better experience than I had tonight with Blake. He offered thoughtful but honest insights on dishes, always topped off our drinks and never let an empty plate sit too long. We of course had to order the bread to start and he got us to try the Casio e Pepe arancini which honestly tasted like Mac and cheese balls. Authentic and tasty italian food! I made a reservation on Open Table for my party of four for a Saturday night. The restaurant was crowded but the table was all set for us upon arrival! We were seated inside at a low top table, but there was also indoor bar seating and an outdoor seating area. Our waitress was nice but definitely had her hands full, so service was slow. For appetizers we ordered Zucca chips and a Margherita pizza; neither dissapointed. The pizza was light and fluffy, not too filling, which was perfect because we had more food on the way. I was skeptical about the zucchini chips but it had the same texture as potato chips, I do wish they served some kind of sauce to dip in on the side. For entrees, we ordered Chicken Parmesan, the house speciality: Bolognese, and Spaghetti with Marinara sauce. The Chicken Parmesan was everyones favorite, the chicken is decent size and tender with great flavor. It's served with a side of buttery and cheesy noodles. It tastes like homemade mac and cheese, a pleasant surprise. The Bolognese was average, the sauce and taste didn't blow me away, but the texture of the noodles was perfect! This was my second time to North Italia, and it will certainly not be the last! I cannot recommend the white truffle garlic bread enough! Literally two pics below because it was SOOOO good! So cheesy, delicious and perfectly seasoned! We also got the burrata appetizer, which was so delicious we didn't even get a picture (oops)! I got the salad and added chicken and my gosh, I was quite full by the time the meal came out, but it was soooooo delicious! My husband got the spicy meatball pizza bomba style (meaning came with side of cheese and chili oil for dipping the crust in) and wowza, another delicious option. I had come in for a Birthday gathering on Halloween evening. The Staff were super friendly. The cocktails were on point and the meal was delicious. Extremely Disappointing Birthday Dinner - We Won't Be Back We've been going to North Italia Arcadia for over a decade--celebrating holidays, birthdays, and "just because" nights with family friends. Sadly, our most recent visit for my father-in-law's 83rd birthday was so disappointing from start to finish that we won't be returning to this location. Drinks came out at different times, with mistakes in the order (my sister-in-law ended up with a third wine she never ordered). Our appetizers were staggered by over 30 minutes, and my Caesar salad (ordered to share before the meal) only arrived after our entrées--and not split as requested. Entrées were inconsistent in temperature, some hot, some lukewarm. Dessert was just as frustrating. The Affogato was served as only the espresso, with the ice cream arriving over 15 minutes later. Other desserts were also delayed. When the check came, there were billing mistakes that had to be addressed. What made this worse was the lack of attentiveness--there were at least 20 staff members, most standing around on their phones. There's no excuse for these delays and errors given the number of people working. And to top it off, the food itself was bland and lacked the flavor North Italia was once known for. We've noticed a steady decline in quality since the transition from Fox Concepts to The Cheesecake Factory, but this was the tipping point. We can only hope other locations don't follow this downward trend. Unfortunately, Arcadia has lost us as customers. read more

One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in town. The Strozapretti is my favorite and I fell in love with the beets with mascarpone last night. Juan has been our server a couple times and he's awesome. Hanne has been our server before and I want to sneak her out of there in my purse. Absolutely adorable and so sweet. Went to this place to celebrate my nieces graduation. First let's just say the food was great. I ordered the salmon with the broccolini. The food was great. Our server Mike, such a great guy. He was patient and had a great sense of humor. I collect pens from everywhere I go and he made my day when I asked about the pen. Straight away I will say that the food alone is a 5. And it was so delicious that as I teetered between 4 & 5 rating I decided I will let the food win me over. The reason I was leaning towards 4 was due to two things I didn't like. One was that we had to use the valet parking even though we were there pretty early at 4pm for happy hour. Attendant said they do valet after 4pm due to the small size of the lot. And if they are busy it makes sense but at 4pm on a Monday it was still wide open. So now we know about that. And the second thing I found annoying was they only do happy hour at the bar seats. I had scheduled this birthday dinner at the early time I did in order to check out the happy hour along with dinner but we couldn't do it due to our seated location. And the entire restaurant is a very open concept so it's odd to only have at the bar. However the cocktails and food were so great that I'll just chock the other stuff up to a learning experience and next time we go back will for sure sit at the bar and ride our scooters over. The pasta dishes were really good, both types of pasta were perfect and my bf said last time he ate at North Italia in Houston years ago he was told the pasta is made fresh in house. It tasted as though that is the case still. Great flavors and freshness. To finish the meal we were provided a complimentary dessert for my honey's birthday and it was wonderful. It was yummy rift on tiramisu with ultra creamy mousse and small crunchy chocolate pearls, and small bits of coffee sponge cake. Our after dinner coffee was also very good. YUM!!! I love my Italian food and this place did not disappoint! My friend had the Crispy Eggplant Parmesan and she said that it was delicious. It looked and smelled amazing. I had the Tortelloni Al Pomodoro and it was beautifully presented, a decent portion and cooked to perfection. It would have been nice if there had been bread or rolls served with our meals. We both had the Carajillo to drink. It was very good and quite strong (as an espresso beverage should be). Oddly, mine had the added touch of espresso beans on top and quite a bit of foam, while my friend's did not. While our server was friendly, knowledgable and helpful, it took quite sometime to be acknowledged to the point that I was wondering if we should leave. Went here on a spontaneous dinner with family. The restaurant was pretty busy so I do understand but the service wasn't as great as it was in the past. I felt neglected a little bit as we waited an hour and a half after putting in our order, and then not getting tableside bread and oil. Our waitress was very nice but I felt that she had other tables that were in the main dining hall as we were in the bar area and we were forgotten. The ambience of the bar area is fantastic but I would do wish that they had dedicated servers to that area. After we got our food, everything was correct, and very tasty. I got a Tuscan kale salad, which is my all-time favorite kale salad. The Parmesan vinaigrette is amazing! And then I got the house specialty Bolognese pasta. The noodles were cooked perfectly and there is a lot of meat, which is fantastic! I know it was just an off night, but it was a little disappointing having to wait an hour and a half to two hours for food. It was easy to make a reservation, and the ambiance / atmosphere was beautiful. This place is great for small or big parties. I got the Funghi pizza which was really good with nice fluffy crust, but I was unaware it had onions on it which kinda threw off the flavor. Next time I would ask for it without onion. Our server was very kind and offered dessert on the house for my birthday. Another great place in Arcadia! Came here for dinner earlier this year and got the lasagna :) it wasn't as flavorful as usual and not very typical for me, BUT I think there's a good chance this version of lasagna is actually more authentic Italian! The Strozopretti was fucking so delicious & fresh. the pasta was cooked perfectly. the chicken was nice & juicy. & the sauce was nice & creamy. my lady got the chicken pesto. You can immediately notice that the pesto was not some bullshit canned pesto you get at a walmart. They make this shit in-house. The combination of creamy pesto, with a hint of lemon zest is subtle & actually refreshing. the ingredients are top notch. Yeah this place is legit. This is our second time here again invited by my sister who lives in the area. All of the food that we have had, from bolognese to pizza and everything in between, is full of flavor, texture and presentation. Our servers have all been prompt and attentive. I have never been to this location before, it is hidden and you'd drive right past it if you're not paying attention. They offer complimentary valet parking which is nice. The dining hall has an abundance of natural light, it's really open and bright. The service was great, we walked in around 5pm on a Saturday with no reservation, and didn't wait long for a table, even though the place was busy. Service was great. Menu is large and has lots to choose from. We had a little bit of everything... some appetizers, a pizza, salad, snd some drinks. Everything was prepared and seasoned perfectly.
