Very cool! Definitely worth checking out. A great place to stop by to get some pizza on a Friday evening. Two super slices, under $20 can't beat it!!!

Giant slice with pepperoni. Note they give you a pizza cutter with it!

Cool Toy Story themed pizza place! I had never heard of this place until Wizard of Za on instagram gave it a shoutout haha. We were visiting Hall of Flame down the street so this was a perfect opportunity! Love the tiny claw machine, we actually won a little toy! You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. It seemed to be ready pretty quickly which was good! We ordered knots, garlic cheese bread, and a cheese pizza. The star of the show was the cheese bread! The garlic knots were good but not quite as good as they looked, the pizza crust was really fluffy. The pizza was really greasy but other than that it was pretty good! Wasn't like the best in the area but not bad at all!

Slice with ham, red onion and olives.

1st Time and I will be back! Best hand tossed crust I've had in years! I ordered the slice with ham, olives, red onions with a house salad. Everything tasted fresh. The pizza sauce has great flavor, juicy with the cheese and toppings. I enjoyed this.

This place never disappoints. Haven't been in a while and still I think maybe they changed the pizza dough ( maybe idk could be wrong) it was tough and chewy compared to the last time I got it . Definitely still though . Hopefully next time it won't be as tough. Also, I got the mozzarella sticks they were bussin. Each one I bit into was juicy and hot (literally the juice flew out my mouth with each bite lol). unfortunately they didn't have that mozzarella pull that we all love lol they were on point though. 4/5 only because of the no mozzarella pull and the dough being tough

Great staff and so friendly to kids! I wanted it a little more well done but so yummy.

Super slice with pineapple and wings.

Food was amazing. We came here for lunch and ordered the super slice with wings and drink. It's was a lot of food and couldn't even finish half the piece. We will definitely come back and will be ordering here for the office.

What a great place. I am surprised it does have more reviews. Walked into a very clean and friendly place. The food was fantastic and huge slices of pizza that you can customize. I had pizza and wings and enjoyed them both very much.

Had the 14 inch house pizza (less the onion). Pizza ready less than 15 minutes. Good flavor and for $20, a good value

Had the house pizza (less onions). Pizza ready less than 15. Excellent crust, pizza had lots of flavor. For $20, an excellent value

This is the amount of cheese I took off and still had cheese on the slice. That is about 5 bites into the slice

Just Moved to Phoenix and work near Mama's Pizza House. I will never eat there again. The slice was too big and had no sauce and tons of cheese.(see pictures ) and My encounter below: Service was horrible. I ask for 2 slices and cashier told me $14. I said what !!! for 2 slices. Cashier she said, but they are big. Which they are big approx 6 inches from one end of crust to the other end of crust tapering to a point at bottom of slice. (See picture) Noticed another woman who was the owner or manager. She was watching the cashier help me and was laughing at me and talking to a regular customer. In another language. Than I started to ask how much does it cost for a Pie. Cashier said $14 dollar. I said those 2 slices equal same as a pie. She said yes. She didn't like that I was questioning her and call for the man, who came out from the back and acted all tough said can I help you. I said nope just the one slice for $7 dollars. They have a standing counter to watch you food being made. The regular customer and the owner were now making fun of me that I was leaning and watching my food made.

We purchase a gluten free and regular pizza. Both were disappointedly small, cold and tasteless, especially for $45.

This is great for a date night, catching up with a friend, or even getting a bite to yourself. Wine: Had a Wilcox wine and it wasn't very good. Mozzarella salad was really good. Pizza I felt had too much of a smoked taste and just didn't have much flavor. Crust was the best part. I've been having really good pizza as of late and this pizza didn't hit the spot. Really bummed as we were excited. Definitely will seek other options next time in Phoenix.

We ordered a couple of sodas and the same slices we ordered last time, pepperoni and vodka slices. The slices were delivered in no time! They were hot and crispy! I don't know what happened, but the quality just wasn't there. I could not taste the sauce on my pizza. It was non existent. It was like eating pizza bread with cheese and pepperoni. The Vodka pizza had no detectable sauce on it either. It also tasted just like cheese bread. I don't know if its because of different pizza makers or the new standard, but I was disappointed. I was very impressed last visit and even made a statement that the Vodka slice may be my new favorite. I was a little let down this time around!

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!

I won't add to my previous review regarding the food, as it is still just as fantastic. And while the old location had its charm (mainly that it was more intimate and a bit quieter), the new location is overall an immense improvement. First of all, it is much larger, modern, and very tastefully decorated without losing as much of the intimacy as they could keep. For instance, the decor on the walls makes you feel like you are somewhat at home, with photos of the Spinato family and other tasteful finishes. Everything is comfortable without being too casual or formal. It's definitely more open concept now, and bar-lovers will appreciate the full bar, as the old location only had a tiny one. The covered patio area is much nicer, and with an eastern exposure, it should bake in the sun less than the old place's western exposure for most of their operating hours. We were seated at a half-booth, and the restaurant was very crowded because it was their first Friday night at this location. Nonetheless, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. I will say that the food took a very long time to arrive--40 minutes or more--but I'm chalking that up to the crowd and growing pains at the new location. Our server recognized us, welcomed us to the new place, and was as friendly as usual, though he didn't have much time for chat-chat with how busy they were. Very much looking forward to more visits to Spinato's at this fabulous new location!

Lil Capo Pizzeria 5.0/5 The Closest Thing to New York…read morePizza I've Found in Arizona Growing up in Upstate New York, I admittedly have high standards when it comes to pizza. After moving to Arizona in 2007, I've spent years searching for a slice that genuinely reminds me of home. While there are plenty of decent pizza spots throughout the Valley, very few capture that authentic New York style. Lil Capo Pizzeria absolutely does! Ironically, I first discovered Lil Capo after an Arizona Cardinals game. Like many people, I wasn't interested in paying stadium prices for mediocre food, so I jumped on Yelp looking for something nearby. Lil Capo had outstanding reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because it's now my benchmark for New York-style pizza in Arizona. The first thing that stood out was the crust. This is exactly what a New York slice should be--thin, crispy on the bottom, slightly chewy inside, sturdy enough to fold, and never overloaded with grease. So many places think "New York style" simply means making a large slice. Lil Capo understands it's really about the balance of crust, sauce, cheese, and texture. Every bite reminded me why I miss pizza back east. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, the cheese is perfectly proportioned, and everything tastes fresh without trying to reinvent what already works. Sometimes simplicity executed well is the hardest thing to accomplish. Pizza: 5/5 Service was equally impressive. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. After selecting our slices, they quickly reheated them to perfection and had them on our table within minutes. It's exactly what you want from a neighborhood pizzeria--fast, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Service: 5/5 I also appreciated the atmosphere. Lil Capo isn't trying to be flashy or trendy. Instead, it has that classic neighborhood pizzeria feel where the focus stays exactly where it should--on making outstanding pizza. It's casual, comfortable, family-friendly, and somewhere you could easily become a regular. The pricing is another pleasant surprise. Considering the quality of the pizza and the generous slice sizes, I found everything to be very fairly priced. Overall Finding authentic New York-style pizza in Arizona has been surprisingly difficult over the years, but Lil Capo delivers exactly what I've been searching for. Authentic New York-style crust Excellent sauce-to-cheese ratio Minimal grease Friendly, efficient service Fair prices Comfortable neighborhood atmosphere I've eaten pizza throughout New York my entire life, and Lil Capo remains the closest I've found to the real thing anywhere in Arizona. Whenever I'm on the west side of the Valley--or heading to or from a Cardinals game--I find myself looking for an excuse to stop in. Next time, I'm skipping the slices and ordering an entire pie. If you're a fellow New Yorker living in Arizona and craving a slice that tastes like home, Lil Capo should be at the top of your list.
