So this has nothing to do with the Pizza, since I have not been able to try it even though I did try. About a month ago I took a large group of people to go eat there on a Saturday for lunch. We wanted to support it after hearing about the owner passing away and heard awesome things about the pizza. We arrived and it was closed for the day. This was about 2 weeks after the owner had passed. I reached out via social media to ask if in the future they could post on social media if they will be closed before people drive across town to eat there. I did this in a very sensitive manner even citing that I was aware of the recent passing of the owner so I understand things can be crazy. The response by the company: I was blocked. I said nothing improper and just gave a suggestion to inform the public if they would be closed like almost every other business does. Maybe I caught the person on a bad day, but man that was maybe the most unprofessional thing I've experienced on social media by and established company. Ill likely still try this place one day, but I cant really plan to since I have no idea if it will be open. read more

Small place, mostly outside seating, tough to find parking. Great location to enjoy the charm of South Scottsdale, tucked in with all the shops right on the corner. They do not offer slices (personal pizza), very pleasant staff, quick to take your order. So the smallest "slice" you can get is two slices which they charge $16 bucks for. $8 a slice is stupid. On top of that it took like 20 minutes to get my slice. I think they gave it away to someone else and forgot about me. They never apologized. They didn't seem to care. They also don't have and silverware and when I asked they again were just dismissive. As for the pizza, it's nothing special and kinda greasy. So as you can expect the owner replied and was rude. This place is run by rude people. And no this isn't gourmet pizza. I've had plenty of that and this is far from it. They do sell slices. Look at the pictures. They just don't call them that because paying $16 for two slices of pizza would be crazy. And if we're going to argue over the words oily and greasy, I accept. The pizza was too oily. Is that better? Seriously don't go here. read more

We stopped here a couple years ago, after a baseball game during spring training. It was close to closing and they just had one pepperoni pizza left, so we grabbed it. The guy, I'm thinking it was the owner, was friendly and accommodating since they were almost closing and we had three hungry boys with us. He brought us the pizza where we were waiting outside, and I'll never forget that pizza. I think about it from time to time, it was delicious. I recently looked it up to hopefully stop in again when we're in town, and am seeing that it closed. For what it's worth, the pizza was amazing, my boys and I talk about it still. This thin cracker crust pizza is absolutely worth the money! Located in Old Town Scottsdale, this spot serves up thin pizza with cupping pepperoni & high quality ingredients, and the sauce is phenomenal. Joey & I shared a small pizza, so two square slices, and it was plenty of food for a full meal! The 2 guys behind the counter were incredibly sweet too, they texted when the order was close to ready & again when ready. So convenient, I can't wait to come back to this little pizza shop next time I'm in Scottsdale! read more

Is the food good? Yes, absolutely. Is the price worth it? Not really. Ambiance is typical outdoor Scottsdale, as they don't really have indoor seating (more of a walk-up bar vibe). I wanted to like this place a lot- major fan of expensive and fancy pizza. Unfortunately, just not worth the price for said pizza. Service is a bit curt- walked up with a friend and ordered two pizzas and it seemed like the guy got off on telling us that they "don't do water cups". Kind of weird to not offer paying customers water, especially when the food is already so $$$$$. I would understand if they didn't want trash, but you can't buy a few washable plastic cups and ask people to return them? read more

We were hungry for pizza, so we stopped in at CPP. I saw that the pizza was square and my heart dropped. Here's the reason why--I'm from Chicago and the only "square" pizza I've ever had is Detroit style pizza and, well, it's not very good... We ordered a small pizza anyway and I asked, "How long will it take?" The man behind the counter told me "All good things take time" and he smiled : ) About 15 minutes later we had our pizza. I opened up the pizza box with no enthusiasm or expectations, but what I saw was like a little piece of Italy. The crust was lightly charred, and the aroma and the look were unlike any pizza I've ever had. Then I took a bite and the spices, the sauce, and the cheese made me laugh out loud--so good! Please try this pizza. You won't regret it. Highly recommended! By the way, did you know a square pizza gives you 25% more pizza than the same size round pizza? Neither did I : ) read more

Surprisingly good pizza! We came here because several other restaurants had an insane wait at 1pm on a Saturday in April, but ended up enjoying this option. Parking near Crisp was difficult, we found plenty of spots a few blocks away from this main area. Crisp was busy but had no wait at 2pm on a Saturday, and we easily grabbed a table for 8 outside. We got the pepperoni (large) and garlic ricotta (small). The pepperoni was a little spicy, just enough for the adults, a little too much for the kids. The garlic ricotta was great, I usually only like red sauce pizzas, but this was packed with flavor and the thick ricotta worked really well. Both had a thicker crust with a nice crisp. The owner was very friendly as well. Cost was $81 total for the two pizzas. Plenty of food for 4 adults, 4 toddlers. read more

I was hungry while walking around Old Town before going to Jeni's so I came upon this place. A small local business, I was very happy to try this, as seeing their pizza was very appealing and easy on the eyes, plus from outside, the pizza smelled absolutely wonderful. I got a can of Diet Coke and a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was the perfect go-to meal and just enough for me. Their "slice" was actually 4 small pieces made into one perfectly portioned square. The pizza is really good and made fresh. The owners are so friendly and accommodating to their customers. It's a small place but still has seats inside and they have outdoor seating as well. The only thing that sucks is the white pizza they have only large sizes so if you're one person eating it's too much. It's unfortunate because you don't get a chance to try. My wife and I were craving pizza. We knew that the famous Grimaldi's was nearby, but we wanted to try something local so we decided to make our way to Crisp. As soon as they opened, we ordered and got our pizza in 15 minutes, which wasn't that long of wait. You can walk around 5th Avenue until you get a text from them. The pizza was made of fresh ingredients and full of mouth watering flavors. We even met Adrian (owner) who was a real gentleman and shared his stories about his journey as a business owner from Brooklyn! My wife and I highly recommend Crisp! Not my cup of tea personally. I feel like the pizzas were too oily & that there weren't enough napkins to combat all the oil dripping down my arm. Definitely wish they had like a public napkin box or something. Was not much seating available either. Stopped by Crisp for the first time yesterday with my mom. We were visiting the area and wanted to get a quick bite. The service at Crisp was impeccable, and the pizza was delicious. The pie definitely lived up to the "crisp" factor, and the quality of the meat/cheese/sauce was excellent. Most pizza is pretty good but it's a rare pizza that makes me stop and say "Wow!". This place is in the latter category. After walking around window shopping, I had worked up an appetite and stopped here for a quick snack. My family tried the white, cheese, and pepperoni and we were all impressed. honestly a hidden gem in Scottsdale. Very small joint, guy running the place said he makes a limited number of pizzas in the morning and stays open till he runs out for the day. We ordered a veggie pizza. Tried to modify the pizza to take off peppers but the guy literally told us no he won't take them off because that's how it's made haha. Definitely a little thrown off but to our surprise the pizza was actually very delicious. If the pizza wasn't good we probably wouldn't return due to their no modifications rule but honestly will come back to try something again because it was very good. read more

This place is really just OK, nothing to write home about. I'm from New Jersey and I know good pizza and quality ingredients.. This is like a 5 out of 10 compared to somewhere like L&B Spumoni Gardens (Brooklyn NY) or like Angelos Pizzeria (Philadelphia PA). The sauce here is just meh, mozzarella doesn't taste homemade/quality & the Parmesan could be better too. This is really just very overpriced and mediocre.. seems like the owner is trying to gain some notoriety for "selling out" for the day etc, but he probably just wants to go home for the day. read more

Lovely tasting pizza! It's so rich and satisfying. I usually get 2 squares of pepperoni pizza. Even when I'm starving, it's a perfect portion. The crust is thin and crispy. Very much New York Style. There's some seating inside and out on the sidewalk patio. The owner is really nice, he checks on the patrons to see how things are tasting. I highly recommend this place. Wow! Just WOW! So much care was put into making sure my order was hot and ready when I preordered! Bana greeted me at the counter and her husband Adrien brought my order out! I've been looking forward to trying Crisp Premium ever since I saw Barstools Dave Portney's glowing review. During his review, it was clear the owner knew his stuff. Thin crust, grandma style NY is my favorite. I ordered cheese. What I noticed after my first bite was the excellent firmness and crisp. The pizza is light, simple but complex. One slice didn't cut it though. I could have easily had 3/4. A little on the pricier side, over 10$ for 2 slices, but worth it- extra premium. read more

Nice service but the crust was black and tasted burnt. I love a crispy pizza crust but I'm not sure if it should have been that black ? I asked and they said it's the way it's cooked? In response to Adrian. I was being polite. It was BLACK on the bottom. Is it supposed to be this way? I asked your wife who was lovely and kind and she said it's always like that but I don't see any other reviews here saying it was black just crispy. And I didn't eat it my husband ate most all of it . I would have preferred less black but thanks! Crispy & well-balanced proportions, hands down the best pizza I've had in AZ thusfar. The owners / staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond to ensure that all their customers are satisfied. Never fails to bring a smile to my face when they hand out free drinks to passerbys that look thirsty or are just trying to get by when summer's starting to hit; they're 100% genuine and I love that so much. Super nice spot to chill at during Spring/Fall, located right by the Scottsdale waterfront so I tend to drop by for a slice or two whenever I go walking around Fashion Square / Old Town. read more

THE BEST PIZZA! Seriously! This walk up and order pizza place should not be passed up! They use the highest quality ingredients, make the dough fresh daily (if the shop is closed early, it's because they ran out of dough), and fire it in a wood burning oven. The dough is light and crisp, the sauce is well balanced and the toppings are so flavorful! You can order by the slice or get a whole pie. The pepperoni and white pizza are our favorite! They enjoyed the beer flights but unfortunately when my martini was delivered, I swore the glass hadn't been properly washed as it had a sweet, coffee taste. I let our server know and she immediately took it and said she would make another which was great. I did see her grab a new glass. Unfortunately the new martini tasted exactly the same. Almost like a terrible espresso martini with olive juice. It was not drinkable. Either she didn't know how to make a dirty martini or the olive juice or vermouth went bad. I couldn't stomach the drink and felt nauseous so left it. We ordered a Chef's Board. Cheese selections, plus pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, mixed nuts & fruits, olives and fig jam. They missed the nuts, fruit and olives. The meat and cheese were good but it was a basic board. We should have ordered the pizza instead as everyone around us had a pizza and it smelled delicious. Our first visit was not the best experience, however, we may give it another try and check out the pizza instead.
