Ordered a Mexican and a pepperoni personal pizza and man they were so friggin good! Their bread is really tasty. Also ordered the fried mushrooms. Almost cried because they are just like my favorite mushrooms back in Cali Also got a carne asada burrito, the beans were so bomb and it's hefty My sister also ordered a chicken salad which was really good, their ranch is so thick and tasty. We visit Phoenix once a year for an extended period of time, and we try to only eat at local places. Finding good pizza has been a challenge. Celas was a wonderful surprise. We picked it up and brought it home to eat. When I ordered. They said "20 minutes". It was ready when I walked in. It was a large, three topping pizza, and with tip, it was only $15.00. Drove 45mins to be told 3min before I get there that my order was declined by the restaurant! 3mins away so we went to the place still to go to the door, locked. It was 130pm and they open at 1pm. On vacation and craving pizza...ended up at Celas! We ordered the Mexican pizza and the Supreme pizza and loved both! The Mexican pizza was so good and really unique...beans on a pizza?! If you don't like spice, this one isn't for you...but we LOVED it!!! The supreme pizza was your typical supreme...but really good! Plenty of toppings and the crust is PERFECT! Can't say enough good about this tiny hole in the wall. Their pizza is great, perfectly done, everything delicious. Their fried mushrooms are outstanding, they cut them fresh and bread them right there. They pay attention to detail like no other place I've seen. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the glorious mushrooms. I went to pick them up. They waited until I was right there to cook the mushrooms so they would be fresh. So worth the wait. When they packed the salad, they wrapped the grilled chicken separately so that the salad wouldn't be soggy. Outstanding. This is a good solid little inexpensive hidden pizza joint. Everything is handmade right in front of you if you pop in, and they deliver as well. Celas's has been open for a long time, but hasn't ever appeared on Yelp. The owner is really nice and so I figured I would help him out and put him on the map. It's not a fancy place by any stretch - there are still a few small remnants of the Pizza Hut this used to be, and it isn't candles and tablecloths. Don't expect to be wowed by the atmosphere, but the kitchen is clean and it smells good inside. For the price, you're going to be hard pressed to find much better. The 5 stars are for the value you're getting here... the bang for the buck. I'm not ready to put this on my list of top pizza joints in the Valley, but it's certainly a good little hidden neighborhood option. read more

I have ordered pizza here a few times and would say that it is better than most in the area. They are very prompt about getting their pizza out and usually have a quick turn around. I order twice and they had some trouble finding my place but were very good about calling and getting directions. To avoid this I decided to drive there and see what was going on there. Cela's is in a very sketchy strip mall off Cave Creek and Hatcher. If you know the area you can imagine why most people call in their order or are scared to walk in. I was amazed that there was one lady behind the counter, slinging pizza's into boxes, working the counter and covering the phones. Very impressive. I noticed that when I called they always said 20 minutes, which is more than enough time it realistically takes to make their pizzas. The front counter is a walk up very much like a mom and pop version of Little Caesars. Soda in the fridge and just a seating area while waiting for your pizza to cook. I personally think this pizza is good. Not greasy, slight flop with enough cheese and choice of toppings that is more on the ample side than the skimpier. Be forewarned though, if you don't frequent the area or know to keep your head on a swivel and wallet in your front pocket, you will not feel comfortable walking in here. This is by far my favorite place to get pizza for take out in the entire valley. I read some reviews about the location but this really shouldn't reflect the business. The pizza at Cela's is consistently good. And it's inexpensive. A large 14" pepperoni that barely fits in the box and a bottle of Mexican Coke ($1.50) was just a few pennies over $7. I have had the pizza from Cela's at least 10 times now. Each time it was consistent with the last. It has a soft chewy crust, the sauce is slightly sweet with good flavor and the cheese and pepperoni are good too. Don't let the run down strip mall it's located in turn you off this place. Don't let the divey interior turn you off it either. It has an A health inspection rating. When I want a quick and inexpensive pizza but still want quality pizza, this is the place I call. It beats the flavor and size of the $5 Little Caesar's, it isn't greasy like a Pizza Hut Pan and has better flavors and a better crust than Domino's or Papa John's. Support a place that is locally owned and has a better pizza than the big chains. Still just as good as it was when I wrote my original review above in 2014. I also love the carne asada burritos. I really appreciated it. My husband was a bit disappointed with the tomato sauce; he said it was bland. Honestly, I didn't notice bc the pepperoni and mozzarella cheese were fantastic. Since the owner is splurging on the pizza toppings, I can see where he might not want to spend too much on the sauce. The buffalo wings were just as hot and fresh as the pizza. I asked for hot sauce, and he delivered. More than likely, he used El Tapatio sauce, and if so then woooooot. Without asking, we automatically received ranch dressing for the wings and the pizza.
