From the moment my family and I walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated within five minutes. Once we sat down, our waiter brought us water. The decorations were all so cute and in addition to the lighting made the experience even better. The food was phenomenal and I highly recommend getting the chicken enchiladas as the sauce was amazing. My only complaint was the chips which were $6 a bowl after the first one.

We returned to this restaurant and had an equally pleasant experience as last time. The patio was pleasant but noisy with traffic noise. Our waiter was nice, service was prompt, and our food was good. The chips are still served with a delicious bean dip and the salmon and chile relleno were still good.

We had been wanting to eat here after we saw it on "Check Please Arizona!" and finally found ourselves in close range. What a great place. We were there at happy hour so we ordered margaritas and tacos off of that menu. The margaritas tasted scratch made and the tacos were awesome! The Corazon taco is a must try. We also had carne asada, chicken and Al Pastor. All were great. Planning to return and order off the regular menu as there was a lot there that was intriguing. Service was great too. I will say it gets a bit loud when it's full. Other than that it's a highly recommend!

Casa Corazon has delicious food, a beautiful restaurant, and great staff. Everything we had was delicious from the queso to the tacos. They have a salsa bar with so many different options to try. Even for a party of people who do not love spicy, we were able to find something for us. The signature sauce on the food was a bit spicy for us, but that did not deter from the flavor. The drinks we ordered were delicious. Overall, we had a great experience here and we will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was okay overall. The staff were polite, but the food was bland. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I was hoping for a much better meal.

Found this little gem today. I'm a bit of a mole snob and this mole is top 3 I have ever had. Ambience is nice and cozy. Salsa bar has plenty of options hot and mild. My Nila's loved the chile relleno. Food is authentic and servers are attentive. Recommend if you are in the area

This was definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Arizona and trust me, I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants! They're open everyday from 11am-9pm except the weekend (they open at 10am and close at 10pm on Fri & Sat!) Parking was slightly small but not a big issue since they have their own parking lot Service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive Inside was beautifully decorated and had a good amount of seating! They've HAPPY HOUR on the weekdays 3-6pm! The HH menu consists of: - $4 tacos (asada, Al pastor, chicken, veggie, corazon, cochinta pibil, tinga, and mole) - guacamole ($10) - freshly made!! - street corn ($10) - regular ($6)/skinny ($8), spicy margarita ($8) There's also a lunch special menu on the weekdays 11am-3pm! The regular menu consists of a good variety of burritos, tacos, and popular Mexican entrees and appetizers! Everything was pretty reasonably priced and most dishes were $20+. The complimentary chips were so crispy and fresh! It came with a freshly made bean dip and it was so delicious! Really enjoyed there was a salsa bar where there was plenty of different kinds of salsa to choose! I especially liked the pineapple salsa! The Horchata ($5) was so good! It wasn't too sweet and it was so refreshing! It was so fresh and didn't taste artificial! Got the Mix & Match - $16.95 - got one beef enchilada & asada taco! The enchilada was so yummy! It was so cheesy and flavorful without being too salty. The beef was so well seasoned and it was packed with meat! The taco was so delicious! The tortilla was so fresh and the asada was so flavorful and tender! Really enjoyed how much meat and how big the taco was! This was 9/10 Would definitely recommend and return!

It was our first visit to the restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend very good, nice ambience, good character, a whole generally good feel to the restaurant. I got the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce. They have lots of specials that night. Also many good choices. I think I'll get the shrimp in the future. The ceviche was out of this world. And I don't know how they cook their rice, but it was some of the best rice I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I also tried one beef taco that is dipped in some sort of a sauce. That was really good and very crispy delicious.

Yes please! We went for happy hour which includes $4 tacos and $6 margaritas. It was one of the best margaritas I've ever had! So citrusy and fresh. The tacos are quite large too, stuffed full of meat. They have a salsa bar with all kinds of traditional and inventive offerings. The inside is gorgeous and they offer some patio seating. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I'm hoping to be back to try their brunch.

One of the best restaurants serving the most amazing, award-winning Shrimp Culichi--hands down the best dish I've ever tried! The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. I also tried Agua Mazapán (peanut milk) for the first time, and it was surprisingly addictive. Their salsa bar deserves a special mention, offering an incredible variety of unlimited salsas ranging from hibiscus and pineapple to serrano pepper and many more unique flavors. The ambiance was warm and inviting, paired with genuinely good service. We loved the restaurant so much that we made sure to visit again before leaving. Truly a memorable dining experience!

Came here last minute and was so glad we did. Got a happy hour 6.00 marg and it was so good. I got the steak and chicken fajitas it was huge and I had left overs, it came with rice and beans too. My hubby got the cheese enchiladas in green sauce, it's always a winner. The salsa bar is fantastic I can't get enough of the creamy green sauce. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken right away. Love this little bungalow house style restaurant.

Extraordinary modern Mexican food with a romantic atmosphere and great service. This was a masterful Mexican food meal. We enjoyed the variety at the salsa bar - something for everyone. The mole negro had a great flavor profile. The most unique camarones culichi with best green sauce for seafood. The dessert was a fusion of flan and cream brunette- must try! Highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning -- 100%

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant located in Phoenix. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I was not disappointed. They have a salsa bar where you can try a bunch of different salsas included with your meal, and happy hour drinks. I got the house margarita and found it to be quite strong. I ordered the pink sauce chicken enchiladas, and they were pretty good. (To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference between the pink sauce and the red sauce enchiladas I usually get) The traditional rice and beans were good as well. We sat outside on the little patio, and although there isn't too much seating out there, we really enjoyed the ambience outside with the trees and mood lighting. The staff was friendly and our food came out reasonably fast. We didn't make any reservations and came around 5pm on a Friday; we got seated right away. There is a lot of seating inside but not a ton of parking in the parking lot. Still, I would come again.

But I wanted something hearty after donating blood the day before at Phoenix Fan Fusion. I felt like I didn't eat enough to replenish all of the corpuscles I shed, so a hearty late breakfast was in order. I was pleasantly thrilled with my choice of Presidio Cocina Mexicana, as the late breakfast I ordered did not disappoint! I ordered the Chilaquiles, which are essentially breakfast nachos, and you have a choice of protein to add. I chose the birria beef which was perfectly slow-cooked and complemented the corn tortilla chips, cheese, and eggs superbly. I opted for both the red chile and green chile sauce which coated the chips along with a generous layer of tangy cotija cheese. I asked for the eggs scrambled and they cooked them just how I like them... fairly dry and in a thin griddled layer. Add to this mound of well-seasoned goodness a decent dolloping of Tapatio hot sauce (and salt and pepper on the eggs) and I had endless perfect bites of spicy, meaty brekkie goodness that brought delighted yummy sounds from my grateful gullet! This was quality food and the couple at the bar next to me raved about the Menudo, so it has all the hallmarks of authentic Mexican fare. It restored me from borderline anemic to my usual strutting rugged caballero self. "¡Arriba, arriba! ¡Ándale, ándale!"

First of all, eating anywhere in Tempe, starts with a frustrating time.... Trying to find parking and having to pay to park. I don't understand why restaurants don't have parking for customers. Idk maybe I don't know where to look. Second, it's hot AF in here. I feel sorry for the guys cooking. It's 105 today and the restaurant is so small, it's probably impossible to keep cool during the summer. Finally, the food. It all tastes very fresh! NO SEED OILS is amazing. I feel like I have won something when I find a restaurant that uses olive oil and beef tallow to cook in. Best corn tortillas I have had for sure. We basically tried one of each taco. (Although some of the tacos we ordered were wrong, so we just kept adding) not a big deal, because they were delicious and we loved them. I felt like the carne was chewy but my husband loves chewier meat. The taco with the marlin was my favorite. And the one that came out kind of like a cheese crisp. It's loud in here and again the space is very small. They do not serve wine at all. But yummy margaritas! The bartender is working solo and working hard! She busted her butt and did an amazing job. Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. We first ordered drinks my wife got a traditional margarita and I got the jalapeño pineapple margarita. I mean there were ok but definitely have had better. The cups they served it in is not the appropriate cups for this drink. Along with the drinks came the chips and salsa which were surprisingly good. Now the food. My wife ordered the chimichanga with red sauce and i ordered shrimp tacos. Nearly 35 mins later and 2 basket of chips gone our food arrives. Her chimichanga was covered in green sauce not red like she ordered and my shrimp tacos were inedible. The shrimp was sooo hard I literally couldn't pull them apart and the crunch I heard while I tried to chew it (which is a clear indicator that it's way over cooked) grossed me out. When my waiter finally came around, after stopping at the table behind us and the 2 tables in front of us, I let him know how bad these tacos were. He took my food and exchanged it for birria tacos. I didn't have to wait long before my tacos arrived. Again they were good but not great. So as we finished our dinner the waiter was nowhere to be found. 11 mins later he comes outside where we were sitting didn't acknowledge us and once again went to the other tables around us. He does whatever it is the other patrons asked him to and goes back inside. When he comes back out he had a tray of drinks dropping them off at the previous tables mentioned and then once again heads back inside. Luckily I grabbed his attention prior him to completing going inside and asked him for a box. Now I was in the food business for almost 16 years and managed servers in those 16 years. Most servers understand when a patron asks for a box to go that usually means they're done and ready to go, so naturally you'd think as he's retrieving the box you'd bring the check. Nope not Donte he brings the box and walks away. Comes back later to pick up the dirty dishes and continues to walk away again, I had to tell him we wanted our check. With all the choices in downtown for food and drink id avoid this one for sure. To think we were up in the air between this place and Arrogant Butcher. Clearly we chose wrong. And one more thing when food gets returned for whatever reason a manager should make an appearance. Nope not here
