We came to watch a soccer game and glad we did so! There was a lot of seating available and the staff were friendly! They have a lot of variety with seafood! The food is always amazing, they serve large portions. The service is always great. They are quick and precise and always nice. Ambiance is very fun, they sometimes have mariachis on a weekend day. I love it here! Parking is a little tight when busy so just be early.

We came on Valentine's day on the way to drop off some folks at the airport. We had not been in a while and our friends had never been so we were hoping it was as good as before. We sat outside and the patio was as pleasant as always although there were a couple of hungry bees attacking our water that had fresh lemon slices. Prepare yourself for that! They brought out chips and salsa right away and the new menus. No more big book, just laminated menus - 1 for drinks and apps, the other for entrees. They still bring out the fish tostadas on the house which is always a nice touch. One of us ordered the shrimp tacos, one had carne asada tacos, the third the stuffed fish filet and I had the bacon stained guero chilies with shrimp. Everything was super tasty. The shrimp in my chilies were a tad overcooked however the bacon was really well cooked and not flabby at all. The stuffed fish was outstanding. Super tender and moist and a very large portion! We saw other folks ordering the whole fried red snapper which is served standing! We will try that next time. They served me a complementary shot of a strawberry (?) margarita. It was a nice touch and tasty with a hint of smoke. Always a sure bet for fresh seafood!

Super cute place and did that stone bowl thing...starts with talapia, shrimp, chicken and carne with red Diablo cheese/octopus sauce in center. So good! Claudia was our super great server. Will be back for sure.

Right when we pulled up on the parking lot we knew it was going to be a good place to have lunch. Seeing the outside drew our attention. We walked in and it was packed and we got seated right away. The server was very friendly and I can see all the workers with a smile on their face, service was fast and the food was more than we expected. We are from California and we were pleased and super satisfied that we decided to stop at this place because not only the food was perfect the whole staff was very kind and making sure we didn't need anything here and there. Our food was so good that we left with 2 satisfying tummies. We got a tostada ceviche on the house and we were pleased with it and satisfied as well

La Ofrenda -- 17 Tequila, pomegranate, fresh lime, juice, sour mix, tajin

Reservations on a rainy Saturday in November, we arrived early and were seated immediately. Our friends arrived a few minutes later and we crammed ourselves into the tight table made for four but with extra chairs. The dining room is very festive and brightly decorated but packed with furniture to the brim. Tables are very close together and large customers should be aware they may be squeezed trying to enter and exit. Studied the massive venue for the longest time, while sipping on a La Ofrenda cocktail, a steep $17 but excellent flavor. It has tequila, pomegranate, fresh lime, juice, sour mix, tajin with an adorable skeleton garnish. I ordered the Filete Divorciado with half red and half green sauce (omg the red is not called diablo for being mild!) but the green sauce is absolutely delectable. The fish was lightly breaded and thin, drowned in sauce on the same plate with rice beans and salad. Husband ordered the seafood enchiladas with red and green sauce and his portion was so massive the rice beans and salad came on a separate plate. He raved about the chunks of crab and lobster, and the red sauce was not too hot for him. His margarita was standard. Companions ordered a paella for 2, with extra a shrimp. Interesting the extra shrimp was grilled and seasoned differently than the fish in the paella. They loved this dish although it is not the traditional preparation as the seafood is just placed on top of the restaurant standard white rice with mixed vegetables. Server checked in on us at least a dozen times, we were never in need. Leftover packed and no room for dessert, they let us linger and visit for a very long time, never rushing us to leave. I really appreciate this in a busy spot and tipped accordingly.

We are obsessed with Mariscos Playa Hermosa and the fresh seafood they offer! Every dish has been wonderful but our top item is the whole fried fish (huachinango sarandeado) covered in a spicy mayo sauce. The aguachile, ceviche, molca frio and oysters are great. Lobster enchiladas are great. Chips and salsas are great. Shrimp with heads attached covered in chili (camarones locos) are great. Guac, great. You get the point. It's hard to go wrong. If you're celebrating, I recommend the seafood tower for a special event. Drinks are good but I prefer to save the room in my tummy for delicious Mariscos rather than a margarita. This is not a quiet restaurant so may not be the top choice if you're looking for an intimate spot or if someone in your party is hard of hearing.

I honestly wish I had taken a picture of the food but I couldn't resist diving right in it was that good. The ambience was amazing, fun, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The service was exceptional from start to finish, attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel taken care of. I also really appreciated the owner personally reaching out; that level of care and connection is rare and speaks volumes about the heart behind this place. Overall everything was unbelievable and I can't wait to come back!"

Sad to say I was their guinea pig they had never served this dish before, and I ended up being the first to try it. I really wanted to go for the octopus and shrimp or keep it safe with the aguachile, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and asked for the waitress's opinion. She suggested I try this tostada. The presentation was nice, and the portion was generous, but the tostada shell was really small and the seafood was completely drenched in guacamole. It felt more like a tostada de aguacate than a seafood tostada I could barely taste any of the seafood. The fried shrimp on top was actually really good, and honestly, if I had just ordered a plate of those I would've been much more satisfied. On the positive side, the service was very friendly and attentive, the ambience definitely had that fun, party vibe. The michelada was delicious and refreshing. That said, it did feel overpriced specifically for what I got. I'll be back to try something else, probably one of their more common seafood dishes and leave another review just to see if redemption is possible.

We came as a group of 4 and ordered the mocajete with green sauce which was more than enough food! It was so unique and flavorful. The fish inside was a white fish and so soft. Loved the variety of meats too! Drinks were great as well

I had a really solid experience at Marsico's Playa Hermosa. If you are looking for fresh seafood and a lively atmosphere, this is a great spot to check out. One of the first things I noticed and a huge plus in my book, is that the chips and salsa are complementary and made in-house. You can really taste the difference when they are fresh, and the salsa had a nice kick to it. For my main meal, I ordered La Patrona, which was a generous seafood platter loaded with fresh shrimp, octopus, and scallops in a delicious, tangy sauce. It was incredibly flavorful and hit the spot. I paired it with a Pineapple Margarita, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. It was the perfect drink for a seafood dinner. Our server, Gabby, was excellent throughout the night. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Overall, it's a very strong four stars. The food is fresh, the service is great, and those house-made chips are a highlight. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

We came here for Father's Day at 11:20am and the place was already packed!! We sat in the patio and it was cool w the misters. The food and the service were amazing!! The Mega Molcajete & camarones loco was full of flavor and plenty to share w a party of 3-4. I do recommend the red sauce vs the green if you want more of a heat & spice. We can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes that we saw others ordering. I have my eyes on the: Camarones Fantasia, La Cura Cruda & Tostada Embarazada!

We arrived around 6:15 for our priority seating reservation, which wasn't until 630 but considering we didn't know what parking would be like we wanted to ensure we were there on time. We waited outside the restaurant since it was pretty crowded on the inside waiting space, they had cool water jugs for those of us not wanting to order a drink while we were waiting. Our table was ready around the same time for our reservation, and we were waited on attentively upon sitting down. I believe our waiter's name was Lorenzo, we had expressed that this was our first time and we also were wanting to try oysters for the first time so he gave us good recommendations on which one would be a good fit for us. We ended up trying the sweet Jesus oysters, and of course I am not a fan, but my husband was willing to give it another shot another day. I think one of the biggest positives about it being a mostly seafood base restaurant as it doesn't smell like a seafood restaurant normally does, the environment aspires to be romantic. However, the noise level really makes it difficult to hear whoever you're with. My husband was sitting literally shoulder to shoulder with me, and I struggled immensely to carry on meaningful conversation because of competing with other tables noise levels. The fish was cooked to perfection and the lemon butter sauce was to die for, the broccolini was delicious as well. My husband enjoyed his fish however he did say that for the price we paid for the fish he thinks the fillet should've been bigger. He also enjoyed his asparagus side. They were able to arrange the sign to say happy anniversary to us, I just don't have the picture since it's on my husband's phone. We celebrated the end of our dinner experience with a slice of chocolate cake, which was so delicious, and the pistachio gelato. Overall, it was a good dining experience, but it will definitely be a while before we return due to it being a more pricey dining option as well as the loud environment. * side notes: *parking is valet, only which is complementary, if you don't have cash, your valet attendant can take Venmo as a tip form. *Bathrooms are extremely clean, men and women, but women's has only two stalls so you may be waiting a while.

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

One piece of fish was huge, and just a bit too greasy for me. Fries were delicious when dipping them into the dill tartar sauce! Coleslaw was great. Next time, I think I'll skip the heavily fried food and try to eat something a bit healthier. Although those fries with the dill tartar sauce were so tasty!

I've been coming to this location for a bit now and I always try something different on the menu…read more This dish was not only unique in its presentation but a great eat as well. Essentially this is their version of fish bites or nuggets. They fillet the actual fish and the meat is deep fried in chunks or cubes. The breading was soft and the flavor was not lost. I tasted the actual meat and not just dough crust like other places do it. It was paired with four sauces; ranch, an aoli perhaps chipotle flavored and their green and red sauces that are used on the aguachile dishes. I suggest the red sauce, it paired so well with the bites. Lola was the cook that day. A big thank you to her as this dish was amazing. ... Claudia was the waitress helping me that day and she was very attentive and almost every time she walked by she checked in to see if I needed anything else. Top notch service. To be honest, all the ladies working this day did the same. They have a great way of checking in on you whether they are your table or not. Always with a smile and a positive demeanor that does not seem forced or fake. ... The location is great, the food is correct and the people working there need to be praised as every visit leaves me wanting to return again and again. ... Check them out now.

Arrived at the 5:30 pm dinner hour and the place was already 3/4 filled. Got seated immediately and the waitress came over to help us with the menu items. Her name was Claudia and she was a gem. Friendly, professional, and fast. The food arrived within 10 minutes and label us impressed. We ordered Fajitas de Camaron, Fajitas Mixtas Camaron Pelao, and a green salad. The entrees were all deliciously made and presented. Hot, temperature-wise and in large portions. You could make two meals out of one! The restaurant is commodious and the ambiance pleasant. Noise level was moderate. Everything was clean and neat with parking in the rear of the restaurant. Una experiencia feliz!

We complained about the shrimp and scallop quality and were only offered 20% off -- they didn't even offer to remake the dish. I did eat the side items -- the corn and potato -- because the waitress never came by to check on us or ask how our food was. I refused to pay for the seafood portion, and they actually called the police on me. I have never been treated so badly by a restaurant, especially when the food quality was that poor. So beware: if the food quality is bad and you feel it's unfair to pay for it, they will threaten you with the police -- who clearly have more important things to deal with than responding to a restaurant's food‑quality complaint.

The snow crab legs, head on shrimp, potatoes, sausage & white rice was all amazing with the mix of all seasonings, mild !!! My friend got the same thing but just added eggs & crawfish with Cajun seasoning, mild. I would definitely recommend going especially if you're looking for a good seafood boil !!!!
