First, the young man at the counter of this Roosevelt Row place is a joy! So helpful and friendly. It seems like he really likes where he works and the food that serve. When you walk in there is a large photo of a Mafia guy--definitely sticks with the theme of this place. There is a small dining room with a huge photo of their food truck, where it all started in Chicago. There is also a cute neon "gangster." We ordered an American Burger, a Shroom Burger, and a Big Mack salad (chopped lettuce dressed with thousand Island, topped with two hamburger patties, cheese, pickle, and sesame seeds). We really liked the burgers and salad a lot. The buns are so good. We got fries, and they were nothing to write home about. Drinks are sold in the can, and there is a big variety to choose from. Came here for lunch and it smelled delicious so many options everything sounded so yummy. My friend and I got the jalapeño popper burger, which was so delicious. We also got some. I think they're a jalapeño fries or gangster fries. Those were probably one of my favorite side items. We also got their appetizer, which was some type of cauliflower. We were in the area for a concert, and wanted to find a new place to eat! Saw this on Google and we decided to try it out, we got a parking right when we pulled up on a Sunday evening. I could honestly see that it could be difficult to find a parking on weekdays at lunch time! Walked in not knowing what to expect, the young gentlemen who came out was very kind and helpful, knowledgeable the food. We asked what the most popular meal was and he suggested the spicy gangster cheeses burger and fries. The place is cool when you walk in and see the Godfather picture with all the other burger places bowing down to him! I will say The taste was there, food was good burger was tasty for sure! But the "Godfather" would not eat here! The ambiance and presentation were not quite there for us. Honestly I felt out of place after we ordered and turned he corner, there were hardly no tables to open and the people sitting in the tables with the pull out chairs were blocking the booths to sit in, they were watching a basketball game that was literally from 2017!! Food was amazing! Super flavorful. Fries were a perfect crisp and paired nicely with their house aioli. I tried the Phx Burger- spicy bbq sauce, onion ring, caramelized onions, bacon with a 1/2lb patty. Every bite was bursting of different flavors and couldn't finish this beast. We also ordered the Pb&j burger , let's just say they finished their burger and portion of fries. I have enough for another meal. Service was great, shared recommendations and specials. Good Yelp recommendation. Landed in PHX and stopped in for lunch which was a great call. Our party of four got a couple of salads, Greek and a Spinach, and a couple of burgers. My sister got the Shroom Burger with the sweet potato fries and I got the Gyro Burger. She really enjoyed her burger and thought the fries were great. I thought the Gyro Burger was good. The gyro meat had great flavor. I forgot to give them the temp of the burger and they cooked it medium, my bad for not going medium rare. Had every intention of giving this place a five star review. Woke up craving a burger and this was the best rated in town. Walk in and there's nobody to greet you. You're left hanging for a minute.. til "Lucky" makes his appearance only to be texting on his phone while taking your order, repeating himself because he's not listening to your questions, not properly putting in your order. Then our food was brought out one at a time with easily five minutes in between each plate. We were missing a burger because he never put it in, and we are still waiting for that burger as I sit and write this review which has now been 12 minutes. I work in the service industry, so I always tip minimum, but I made my mistake of tipping upfront instead of waiting till after we received our food and experienced the real service.
