Delicious! This is such a cute place. It's fairly small, but has a lot of outside patio dining space when the weather is nicer. I feel the prices are decent given the amount and quality of food. It was so tasty. Our waiter was beyond nice and was always checking in on us. This is a great brunch or lunch spot for a good friend hangout.
Great, fast service. Nice ambiance. Fresh flavorful food. The perfectly grilled cheese is something you would see on like master chef or other culinary TV shows. You get a creamy brie with a gooey cheese blend, peppery argula, crispy salty bacon, all on a sweet and spicy pear bread. Like omg, flavor explosion. Let's be clear: if your tastebuds prefer simple, familiar flavors like those in a classic grilled cheese, this isn't the sandwich for you. I can't wait to go back and try their other creative culinary items.
We do a sandwich shop lunch date every Friday to get out of the house early. Found Perfect Pair Bistro on Yelp! and decided to give it a go. Well, it was awesome - seated immediately, even though it was fairly busy and had our table server Izzy quickly there to ask if we wanted water and orders for other drinks - we went with Cider Corps Mango Foxtrot, as we always often do - such a good cider and this is on draught here also. Music was a little loud as many people talking loudly to hear but it wasn't too bad - but noticeable! I ordered the Perfect Grilled Cheese and sweet potato fries, which were so good. The bread was like a fruit bread - actually its a spiced pear bread - which is delicious! The wife got the Chicken Club and sweet potato fries, also stating it was one of the nicest sandwiches she has had in a while. We swapped our sandwich halves to get a taste of each and we both rolled our eyes in delight - both were fresh , very tasty and not over-stuffed, making them easier to eat! We will definitely be back as its a close drive to get here.. Love it!
This was a quaint little place that I picked out based on reviews and the fact that they had a Cuban sandwich on the menu. It was very tasty. And hit the spot. I ordered one of the side salads but I asked if I could have them add fresh pear to it because of course the name of the place is Perfect Pear Bistro so I was naturally craving pears. The ambience was cute and classy. I sat on the patio because it was gorgeous outside, but I did take a peek inside and it has a low lit upscale rustic vibe. There was plenty left in the salad after I housed my sandwich (elegantly) and I finally had to tap out and get a to-go box. Lovely little stop, would come back.
We need to find a reason to drive back to Tempe from Tucson just to go to this restaurant. We had the BEST server, Maddy was such a breath of fresh air in this environment where finding good customer service is rare. She never stopped smiling, it was great! Now to the food and drink. We started with a coctail. The pear martini, if you like pear was AMAZING. The food was so good...I had the Perfect Pear Classic grilled cheese on their pear bread. There are no words to describe how good it was. My husband got their Philly Cheese Steak and it was one of the best he's ever had. I tasted it and it was so good.The flavors these chefs have put together are unique and delicious.
This place is super cute and the patio is dog friendly! The food was pretty good; I always enjoy their pasta, wraps, and warm bowls but this time we just shared appetizers. Portions were good as well. The drinks were alright but a bit boring- probably wouldn't order again. The server was friendly but we felt like she was rushing us to leave even though there were many open tables inside and outside. Will be coming back again though
What a find in the heart of Tempe! A friend invited me to lunch here on. Monday and wow, they were busy! Full parking lot! That was good sign. We shared a Berry Avocado Quinoa Bowl and a Perfectly Grilled Cheese. They even plated them separately for us! (2 plates with half a grilled cheese and French fries on each and 2 bowls with our Berry Avocado quinoa! So sweet and helpful!) Everything was very delicious--fries were seasoned and crispy! The grilled cheese and sweet and salty (they use their spiced pear bread, a delicious four cheese blend and bacon). Quinoa bowl was very hearty! The space was cozy and not too loud--my friend and I were able to catch up without having to raise out voices. Cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!
The butternut squash tacos were pretty good but to my surprise, the beans that came with it were out of this world amazing. I was shocked at how good the side of beans were that I couldn't stop eating them to take a picture! The Brussels sprouts though, were very disappointing. I couldn't finish them. They were overcooked and mushy the leaves were crispy which was nice but there wasn't even the most mild bite to the inside at all it was all leaves and mush. Not very appetizing to me. The service and ambiance were here was really nice and I'm sure I'll discover over things I like. I just wish I was dining in rather than takeout so that I could have exchanged the Brussels for something else. I ordered 3 and threw 2 1/2 in the trash.

Get here early. * The Vibe & History: The building has a classic Southwest structure that felt familiar. My suspicion was right--this space used to be a Mexican restaurant, which explains the layout. It's got a great casual feel, though be warned: as the crowd swells, the volume rises. It got a bit loud for conversation by the end of our meal. * Pro-Tip (Happy Hour): I didn't realize it until I looked at the menu later, but their Happy Hour runs daily from 11 AM - 6 PM. If you are looking for a deal on drinks, this is a huge window. The Menu: The menu gives off "California" vibes--fresh, healthy, and creative--but with some unique twists. Since we visited during the holidays, I asked about their Fall Menu, and they had some great seasonal options rotating in. It's nice to see a place that actually changes things up based on the time of year. The Food: * Peanut Coconut Curry Quinoa Bowl (4.25/5): This was my wife's choice, and I had instant food envy. Served warm with a mild, nicely executed curry sauce and small morsels of chicken. The veggie blend was fresh and the portion was satisfying. * Harvest Sandwich (4/5): A vegetarian option that doesn't feel like a sacrifice. It's loaded with roasted peppers, avocado, hummus, and sprouts, but the real MVP is the grilled focaccia bread. It held everything together perfectly. * Side Note: I opted for the fries. They are the crispy, "batter-dipped" style. I didn't mean to eat them all, but they are impossible to resist. * Drinks: I stuck to an Arnold Palmer (4/5)--classic, refreshing, and hit the spot. Perfect Pear is a great option in Tempe. They have a huge menu-something for everyone. When I've gone in the part I've had their sandwiches or pasta which have always been solid. This time I tried one of their quinoa bowls and it did not disappoint. Service is always friendly and pretty quick and the restaurant has a cute inside space and nice sized patio. Parking is somewhat limited so be prepared that you might have to park on the street and walk a block.
We got off of the plane from Fresno and I asked my son to find a good lunch place. He succeeded! Ambiance was great, service was on point and the food was awesome! It came out quickly and tasted as good as it looked.
This is the Yelp payoff. Visiting the Phoenix area and looking for a nice little spot for dinner. What a fantastic find! Sorry if the menu photos are a bit repetitive - and the photo of what was left of the soup! There was just a fantastic assortment of tastes going on, I had to share. There was nothing to say about this place that was negative except that my stomach just won't accommodate all the tastes I wanted to try! The service was wonderful and the food was all so delicious and we tried all kinds of things from the Pear Mule to the Mushroom Brie Soup - oh so good! What a gem!
There was such a variety of options, and the server was very friendly. The setting is wonderful with the wood and outdoor decor. I love all the different combination offered like wraps and salads; I made a wrap from the strawberry fields salad and added falafel as protein. The server also allowed me to split having both the normal and sweet potato fries, which came in generous portions. As an appetizer, I got the crispy korean brussels sprouts and cauliflower that had the most amazing tangy sauce. Lastly, we ordered the pear cobbler which was heavenly: perfectly crunchy and sweet.

I would say this place is very yummy for people who like healthy food haha! It wasn't my absolute favorite, but it was definitely good for being on the healthier side! I got the strawberry salad as a wrap, which was pretty refreshing. I think next time I'd probably try the pasta instead haha! But the sweet potatoes were deliciously great! The spinach dip was yummy! And the Alex mocktail was SO tart and delicious! It tasted just like those fruity fruit rolls haha! I added a photo because reference! Haha The restaurant was a little smaller, so seating was pretty busy. The girls working were dressed pretty casually in T-shirts and gym shorts. I guess that's the style they're going for? It was a little odd to me, but okay haha! Overall, it was a good place to grab lunch, especially if you're looking for something on the healthier side! read more
It was 115 yesterday and they had the door open which it made it insanely hot insane. I had to ask to move us to the back of the restaurant. I ordered the pesto goat cheese spread with crostini - it was way too think and hard as a rock. Very hard to bite in to. The spread needed salt. We ordered the Pacos Tacos. I took off onions and bacon. My husband had it just the way it comes. We really enjoyed those. The black beans it came with was absolutely delish My daughter and her hubby ordered the grilled cheese. My daughters came with pear spiced bread - tasted like raisin bread - none of us cared for it. Service was good. Not a place we would go back to. I do like that all salads could be turned in to a wrap. The drink menu looked fun. Cute atmosphere- you should secure a reservation. read more

Love this spot! I always come for their La Lucy salad, though this time it wasn't as great. The salad was plated a bit sloppy, the grilled salmon portion was smaller than usual and tasted a little fishier than normal, and the fruit had a slightly fizzy taste. I only had a few bites but didn't make a big deal about it since this is a rare occasion where the dish missed the mark. Parking is so-so, though there is street parking available. It gets packed during the lunch hour, but you can make a reservation, which helps. The servers are great, as always. Just a heads-up, when the place is full, it gets very loud. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend sitting outside or coming during an off hour at this particular location. read more
We have been visiting the area for six plus years and PPB is a family favorite. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. The restaurant has a unique appeal. Indoor seating is plentiful but we prefer the outdoor patio. It is pleasant. It's a hacienda hangout. The dishes are consistently tasty. The ingredients are fresh. The drink menu is extensive. On our most recent visit I opted for a mushroom soup and a quinoa bowl which I paired with a pear cider. Service has always been great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. read more

Had such a great time here with my husband. The happy hour menu is a great deal, and the apps were the highlight -- we could've made a whole meal out of them. Perfect spot for a relaxed date night. Will definitely be back! read more

Had an interview in Phoenix and the staff took me here for a nice lunch. Not only was the atmosphere amazing but the food is delicious. I love the variety of lemonades they had and our server was so nice and checked on us often. I will have to come back next time I'm in Phoenix. Cute healthy place located near ASU. Lots of healthy options including falafel as an option and fake chicken too! Service was good, lots of seating with a patio for outdoor seating as well. We went just before lunch so the seating was fast but noticed that there were alot of larger parties so it must've slowed the kitchen down because the wait for food was long. They have 1/2 and 1/2 options so you can try combos on their menu too. I did had salad and pasta. Would return again when in the area! read more

All in all had a good experience. Plenty of outdoor seating and a cozy bistro vibe inside. I tried the broccoli cheddar soup and unfortunately needed to send it back but the waitress was super nice about it and took it off the bill. It just tasted off to me, like it wasn't fresh and was burned when reheated. But I had the French pantry sandwich which was delicious. The balsamic on it was slightly overwhelming the other flavors but it was a tasty sandwich with great bread. My boyfriend had the southwest Philly sandwich which was really good too. Sweet potato fries were also a hit with great seasoning and a wide crinkle cut style. Although our experience wasn't perfect, we still enjoyed our meals and appreciated the great service. read more
Came an hour before closing and got a nice cider, salad, and pasta with a side of salmon. Service was great and the food was excellent. I'm a slow eater and unfortunately had to chug the cider and take some of the food to go because they were cleaning up and seemed ready to close exactly at 9pm, but everything was still pretty good when I ate it a couple days later. read more

Always have excellent and friendly service at this location. Parking is free and onsite which I love. They have the best patio of all the Perfect Pear Locations and they have misters as well so it's not too hot in the patio area. The food is always on point and fresh. Today we just came just for happy hour. The Emily Mocktail is refreshing and not too sweet. The bathrooms here are also really clean. Definitely one of the best spots in Tempe. read more

Perfect Pear Bistro came recommended to me by a friend. I'm so glad I was able to try this place out. The restaurant offers a cozy feel by being on the smaller side. They offer outdoor seating with misters. They do accept reservations and we were able to be seated promptly. Our waitress was attentive and nice. For lunch I went with their spicy ginger quinoa bowl and added salmon. The portions are large and the ingredients are fresh. They also offer mocktails which I appreciate. I forget the name of the one I went with, but it was delicious. Overall great experience and I look forward to dinning here again soon read more
Great ambience and great food. Indoor and outdoor seating on a lovely patio. Bar menu with some great looking drinks leaving the bar. I had the grilled cheese on their pair bread and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Hubby went with the paco tacos and commented the shell was crunchy yet soft and held together for the perfect bite. . A great meal and highly recommend environment. read more

Here is one of my favorite lunch restaurants. Everytime I want to enjoy a delicious sandwich or veggie appetizer I come here. I made it for happy hour this time and enjoyed a glass of wine with my Chicken Pesto sandwich and the Crispy Korean Brussels and Cauliflower. Sitting out and dining on the covered patio was a delight. Very open and comfortable a nice compliment to the great service, food, and drink. read more
We did not see the inside but the outside was perfect and nicely shaded. The staff was young but welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive so there are many options to choose from. The tacos were great, they definitely have a kick so if you're not into spicy these aren't for you. The French Pantry sandwich was good, I think it was lacking a bit of flavor though. On paper the ingredients all sounded great. The pears didn't add much to it other than a mushy texture. The bread was very light and fluffy. The brie didn't add much depth either. Could have done without the mustard and gone with just balsamic. The sweet potato fries are top tier though! read more

Depends on the day. Make them to be safe and if you don't need them you need not worry. Their parking lot is very small. Free parking across the street.
