This place is super cute and the patio is dog friendly! The food was pretty good; I always enjoy their pasta, wraps, and warm bowls but this time we just shared appetizers. Portions were good as well. The drinks were alright but a bit boring- probably wouldn't order again. The server was friendly but we felt like she was rushing us to leave even though there were many open tables inside and outside. Will be coming back again though

This is the Yelp payoff. Visiting the Phoenix area and looking for a nice little spot for dinner. What a fantastic find! Sorry if the menu photos are a bit repetitive - and the photo of what was left of the soup! There was just a fantastic assortment of tastes going on, I had to share. There was nothing to say about this place that was negative except that my stomach just won't accommodate all the tastes I wanted to try! The service was wonderful and the food was all so delicious and we tried all kinds of things from the Pear Mule to the Mushroom Brie Soup - oh so good! What a gem!

What a find in the heart of Tempe! A friend invited me to lunch here on. Monday and wow, they were busy! Full parking lot! That was good sign. We shared a Berry Avocado Quinoa Bowl and a Perfectly Grilled Cheese. They even plated them separately for us! (2 plates with half a grilled cheese and French fries on each and 2 bowls with our Berry Avocado quinoa! So sweet and helpful!) Everything was very delicious--fries were seasoned and crispy! The grilled cheese and sweet and salty (they use their spiced pear bread, a delicious four cheese blend and bacon). Quinoa bowl was very hearty! The space was cozy and not too loud--my friend and I were able to catch up without having to raise out voices. Cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!

The butternut squash tacos were pretty good but to my surprise, the beans that came with it were out of this world amazing. I was shocked at how good the side of beans were that I couldn't stop eating them to take a picture! The Brussels sprouts though, were very disappointing. I couldn't finish them. They were overcooked and mushy the leaves were crispy which was nice but there wasn't even the most mild bite to the inside at all it was all leaves and mush. Not very appetizing to me. The service and ambiance were here was really nice and I'm sure I'll discover over things I like. I just wish I was dining in rather than takeout so that I could have exchanged the Brussels for something else. I ordered 3 and threw 2 1/2 in the trash.

A perfect "final stop" before heading to the airport. We met up with extended family here before catching our flight back to St. Louis, and it was the ideal spot--close to the freeways and airport, but with enough local charm to feel like a real meal rather than a travel pit stop. The Logistics: * Timing is Everything: We arrived right at 11:00 AM and the dedicated parking lot was wide open. By the time we left at 12:45 PM, the place was packed and people were hunting for spots on the side streets. Get here early. * The Vibe & History: The building has a classic Southwest structure that felt familiar. My suspicion was right--this space used to be a Mexican restaurant, which explains the layout. It's got a great casual feel, though be warned: as the crowd swells, the volume rises. It got a bit loud for conversation by the end of our meal. * Pro-Tip (Happy Hour): I didn't realize it until I looked at the menu later, but their Happy Hour runs daily from 11 AM - 6 PM. If you are looking for a deal on drinks, this is a huge window. The Menu: The menu gives off "California" vibes--fresh, healthy, and creative--but with some unique twists. Since we visited during the holidays, I asked about their Fall Menu, and they had some great seasonal options rotating in. It's nice to see a place that actually changes things up based on the time of year. The Food: * Peanut Coconut Curry Quinoa Bowl (4.25/5): This was my wife's choice, and I had instant food envy. Served warm with a mild, nicely executed curry sauce and small morsels of chicken. The veggie blend was fresh and the portion was satisfying. * Harvest Sandwich (4/5): A vegetarian option that doesn't feel like a sacrifice. It's loaded with roasted peppers, avocado, hummus, and sprouts, but the real MVP is the grilled focaccia bread. It held everything together perfectly. * Side Note: I opted for the fries. They are the crispy, "batter-dipped" style. I didn't mean to eat them all, but they are impossible to resist. * Drinks: I stuck to an Arnold Palmer (4/5)--classic, refreshing, and hit the spot. The Service: Friendly and efficient. Our host appeared to be training a new hire, but it didn't slow anything down or impact the experience. Verdict: A solid 4-star spot for a healthy, flavorful lunch. Just try to beat the noon rush if you want to hear your tablemates clearly.

Perfect Pear is a great option in Tempe. They have a huge menu-something for everyone. When I've gone in the part I've had their sandwiches or pasta which have always been solid. This time I tried one of their quinoa bowls and it did not disappoint. Service is always friendly and pretty quick and the restaurant has a cute inside space and nice sized patio. Parking is somewhat limited so be prepared that you might have to park on the street and walk a block.

We got off of the plane from Fresno and I asked my son to find a good lunch place. He succeeded! Ambiance was great, service was on point and the food was awesome! It came out quickly and tasted as good as it looked.

Love this spot! I always come for their La Lucy salad, though this time it wasn't as great. The salad was plated a bit sloppy, the grilled salmon portion was smaller than usual and tasted a little fishier than normal, and the fruit had a slightly fizzy taste. I only had a few bites but didn't make a big deal about it since this is a rare occasion where the dish missed the mark. Parking is so-so, though there is street parking available. It gets packed during the lunch hour, but you can make a reservation, which helps. The servers are great, as always. Just a heads-up, when the place is full, it gets very loud. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend sitting outside or coming during an off hour at this particular location.

We have been visiting the area for six plus years and PPB is a family favorite. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. The restaurant has a unique appeal. Indoor seating is plentiful but we prefer the outdoor patio. It is pleasant. It's a hacienda hangout. The dishes are consistently tasty. The ingredients are fresh. The drink menu is extensive. On our most recent visit I opted for a mushroom soup and a quinoa bowl which I paired with a pear cider. Service has always been great. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Cute healthy place located near ASU. Lots of healthy options including falafel as an option and fake chicken too! Service was good, lots of seating with a patio for outdoor seating as well. We went just before lunch so the seating was fast but noticed that there were alot of larger parties so it must've slowed the kitchen down because the wait for food was long. They have 1/2 and 1/2 options so you can try combos on their menu too. I did had salad and pasta. Would return again when in the area!

Had an interview in Phoenix and the staff took me here for a nice lunch. Not only was the atmosphere amazing but the food is delicious. I love the variety of lemonades they had and our server was so nice and checked on us often. I will have to come back next time I'm in Phoenix. I saw a few items on the menu I want to try lol.

All in all had a good experience. Plenty of outdoor seating and a cozy bistro vibe inside. I tried the broccoli cheddar soup and unfortunately needed to send it back but the waitress was super nice about it and took it off the bill. It just tasted off to me, like it wasn't fresh and was burned when reheated. But I had the French pantry sandwich which was delicious. The balsamic on it was slightly overwhelming the other flavors but it was a tasty sandwich with great bread. My boyfriend had the southwest Philly sandwich which was really good too. Sweet potato fries were also a hit with great seasoning and a wide crinkle cut style. Although our experience wasn't perfect, we still enjoyed our meals and appreciated the great service.

Came an hour before closing and got a nice cider, salad, and pasta with a side of salmon. Service was great and the food was excellent. I'm a slow eater and unfortunately had to chug the cider and take some of the food to go because they were cleaning up and seemed ready to close exactly at 9pm, but everything was still pretty good when I ate it a couple days later.

We were setup in a separate dining area from the main dining room, which allowed for better conversation without added noise. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive the entire time we were there, which was a couple hours. The milk bread is an absolute must! It's so pillowy soft and the flaky sea salt perfectly compliments it. I ordered the Wise Decision cocktail, which was refreshing. For my entree, I had the shishito Caesar salad and was advised I could add a protein from their skewer selection of chicken, pork belly or oyster mushrooms. I asked the waitress about the chicken and she advised that they are smoked and will appear pink from that, so not to be alarmed, but are moist and really flavorful. While the filet was tempting (and what everyone else at my table ordered), I wanted something lighter. Thankfully I was not disappointed in my selection. The chicken was as delicious as described and could be cut with a fork. The Caesar salad was well dressed, but not soggy. Do I think it was worth the money to add the chicken? Not if I were paying, but since my company paid for it, I think it was worth it. This is a great spot for a date night or special occasion.

Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! We arrived in time for sunset, and it did not disappoint. Watching the sunset over the Phoenix skyline made for a beautiful evening, and the restaurant itself has a unique atmosphere. We had a 7:30 reservation and were checked in right on time, we were seated outside, but there was very little shade, and unfortunately it was a hot, humid, and windy evening, so it wasn't the most comfortable dining experience. Our server, Sergio, was friendly, but we had to ask several times for water refills. One of the highlights before the meal was the complimentary bread service. The bread and butter were delicious, and the staff member who brought it out took the time to explain each item on the board which was a nice touch. The food was good. The 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was the highlight of the meal, tender, flavorful, and worth ordering. We had enjoyed the desserts. The chocolate mousse was rich and creamy, and the Pavlova was light, fresh, and beautifully presented with berries. That said, the outdoor seating wasn't quite as relaxing as we expected. It was pretty windy the evening we visited, which made dining outside a little uncomfortable. The resort Pool is directly below the patio, and there happened to be a party going on, so there was quite a bit of noise. The restaurant also overlooks the freeway. Traffic wasn't heavy during our visit, but I imagine the road noise and air quality could be more noticeable during busier times. Overall, if you are looking for a scenic dinner with a memorable sunset, top of the rock is worth visiting. Just be prepared for the weather if you sit outside and know that the ambiance can depend on what's happening around the resort. The steak alone is reason enough to come back.

Still, I've passed this place on the freeway so many times and always wondered about it, so it felt special to finally check it off the list. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and I'll say the host that greeted us was a bit rude. We waited a few minutes before he took us back to our table. I will say there's an odd smell when you first walked in and I'm grateful that we sat outside. Once we sat down though, our waitress was attentive the entire night. We started with the charcuterie board, which honestly felt a little basic to me. The smoked Gouda was fine, but I would've preferred something sharper like an aged Gouda, and a more thoughtfully curated spread overall. The meats were okay, nothing that really stood out. On the drinks side, I tried two. The berry limeade was absolutely delicious, highly recommend that one! The traditional margarita though? Not it. Way too sweet for my taste. I don't think most Americans really know what a true margarita is supposed to be. I was hoping for something less sweet and more authentic. It is what it is, I drank it anyway (more because of the price than anything). But the entrées? Spot on. My girlfriend got the Miso Glazed Sea Bass served over potato purée with asparagus and a citrus beurre blanc. She said it was delicious. I had the Seasonal Ravioli with grana padano, white truffle oil, and added wild mushrooms on top. Incredible flavor, did not disappoint. I will say though, the ravioli plating wasn't all that appetizing. The sauce color came off bland and boring, and a little garnish like some micro greens on top could've gone a long way to elevate it. For a place like this (and the price), I expect the plating to be just as on point as the flavor. I'd say the same for the table setting, lighting and cleanliness of the table, I'd really rate that C level. Our waitress surprised us with complimentary champagne for the birthday, which was such a sweet touch. No clue what it was, but it was so good she ordered a second glass. They also brought us a small dessert that said Happy 40th Birthday for my girlfriend, which was really thoughtful. And the sunset? That part was genuinely beautiful. We got some great photos. All in all, a decent experience overall. It's pricey, and not somewhere I'd rush back to, but for a special occasion every now and then? Worth it to my GF and that's all that matters at the end of the day because it was her birthday celebration.

Came for lunch because the last time they gave us a coupon for $5 off. Tried the nachos…read moretoday......... And the QUAD MELT which seems to be every one's favorite. It was so good we ordered another one, and then we ordered one to go for our son. Nachos were very good I recommend adding chicken. *OH MY LAWDY THE SWEET POTATO FRIES ARE 100% the BEST I've ever had anywhere. They are sooooooooo sooooooo good! Might come back just for the sweet potato fries. *I did find out today that they use seed oils for their food. So while it is top notch and delicious and unique, it'll probably be avoidable for us in the future.

I will start by saying I usually love this place, but today it was not so perfect…read more.. I ordered the Perfectly Grilled Cheese with sweet potato fries as the side. The bread on the sandwich was tough, the bacon bits were chewy, hard knots, and the sandwich was dry overall. The sweet potato fries were greasy and tough and not hot. Nothing about what I ordered today was good with the exception of the appetizer, which was the Crisp Korean Brussels and Cauliflower. It was hot, delicious and plentiful so I did not go hungry. Our server was friendly and prompt. He was very quick to refill my drink. I will say that both my chair and our table rocked terribly, so was not very comfortable. Hoping for a better experience on my next visit.
