Finally stopped in after driving by this place for a while and not realizing what it was and I'm glad I did. The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. There's also a large parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, and even a dog park area, which makes it really easy to spend time here. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly. Azbel was a great server. I had the bistro steak and fries and the Szechuan lettuce wraps, and both were really good. Portions were generous. During late-night happy hour my total was about $55 for a main entrée, an appetizer, a cocktail, and tip, which felt like a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. I also checked out the event venue on site, and it looks like it would be a great place for a company party, corporate event, or group gathering. This week I was staying at the healer resorts at Wildhorse and wanted to try something different. Looking at what locals recommended this electric pickle had quite a number of positive reviews and so I convinced my husband and some of my colleagues to check it out with me. Then after my meal while I was checking out the Pickleball courts several other colleagues of mine came in after me when I told them I was going, but they couldn't join me at the time we attended. The space was so open and welcoming. It was clean the staff were incredibly friendly. They have a tag team style of service;we had a dedicated server, but we also had a lady who brought drinks, and a runner who brought out our food. Our overall service was quite efficient immediate up entering the restaurant. We were seated without reservations immediately and were told it was happy hour,which is every day from 3 to 6pm, and so we had a lot of positive things to look forward to. Because it was happy hour each one of us ordered an appetizer and entrée. One person did just order three appetizers to share, and a salad for his entrée. We were able to try pretzel bites, cheeseburger, egg rolls, goat, cheese, balls, tuna Poke tacos, just to start our meal. Since my husband isn't a big fan of sushi I got their electric roll as my meal and poke tacos is my starter. There's an extensive cocktail menu and a lot of different beverages to choose for your enjoyment. The ambience was just so delightful. I overall had a very positive experience. However, I didn't really like my food as much as I had hoped. I must admit I had no idea of electric role that I ordered was gonna come out flaming and that was pretty impressive. However, the taste did not meet my standards. The electric roll tasted premade hours earlier and was pretty disappointing and also was about six pieces/ six bites. In the last few months, I tend to get a California roll at Trader Joe's and honestly, this tasted quite similar to that type of sushi roll product. It was very bland. I didn't care for the quality of the fish at all. However, seeing sushi on the menu of a restaurant like this was unexpected, but I felt the same way about the Pokey tacos. It seemed like a premade product that was crafted hours earlier and then thrown together for me. The pokey tuna in my appetizer didn't seem well seasoned. There wasn't a lot of dressing to the tuna. The flash fried taco wrapper seemed hours old, wasn't hot. Didn't taste fresh. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger which I thought tasted great but after we left, he said it was acceptable. Wasn't something he had to return for or order a second time. I enjoyed the pretzel bites that came with mustard and a cheesy sauce. I enjoyed the goat cheese appetizer which came with a hot honey. I really enjoyed the cheeseburger spring rolls. So even though the food did not knock my socks off, I had a pleasant time hanging out with my colleagues. After our meal, they split up the tab seamlessly. Electric Pickle has several Pickleball courts associated with the restaurant. After our dinner, we walked outside to watch the people playing pickle ball and having a great time. As we were leaving three of my coworkers arrived for dinner. The next day I ask him how their dinner was . They reported each ordering steak and fries, and meal was good. All three reported that their steaks were undercooked, and were surprised something like that would occur in Arizona. My colleagues felt their food was only okay, and the restaurant itself was fun to hang out at. Very much what I experienced. I think that I would go again and just try other things. read more

Such a fun spot! Electric Pickle has such an energetic vibe, and I was pleasantly surprised by how many options there were on the menu! There's a really great variety, so there's something for everyone! I wish I could've ordered 10 things! I ended up getting the Loco Moco because that's one of my favorite dishes of all time! It was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of saltiness. Our waitress was also incredibly nice and really added a cherry on top of the whole experience. Love this concept! We visited Electric Pickle for brunch, and it was cute. I absolutely loved the decor inside. They have a ton of pickleball courts, and other fun activities on the property. You can purchase a membership or day pass. They have and indoor & outdoor bar, which is super convenient. They have a nice variety of food on the menu, but have a lot of Asian themed dishes. I started with the fresh spring rolls, that came with a side of peanut sauce (very good). Hubby had the steak & eggs, and I had the teriyaki chicken bowl. The steak was good, but could have been seasoned a little more. However, the teriyaki bowl exceeded my expectations. It came with purple cabbage, carrots, cucmbers, and teriyaki chicken. After a previous experience here, I thought the food was great, so I decided to share it with my family, with the hopes they too would enjoy. The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. This place is awesome! If you haven't been to Electric Pickle yet, you're missing out. There is something here for everyone. Sports wise, they have pickleball, bocce ball, and ping pong. There is a full restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating as well as 2 bars. They have a huge screen outside for live sports with a nice sized play area for kids. The staff was great. It was my first time there and they were very welcoming and helpful. We rented a pickleball court and had plenty of seating area for the whole group. You can play as much as you want during your allotted time. I can't wait to come back! A great place to bring the whole family or a place to meet up with friends. Electric Pickle definitely lives up to its name. As it offers an aesthetically pleasing environment filled with bright colorful courts, and lots of places for a photo op(that my gf really enjoyed). Plus, with how insanely hot Arizona gets, I really appreciated that they offer both covered and uncovered courts, lots of fans, and water everywhere. Huge plus for that. Now for the not-so-fun part... We had a covered court reserved, but when we showed up, another group was still playing. The staff didn't get them off the court for about 30 minutes, which cut into our two-hour reservation....not great when you're paying for that time. Service was also rough. For the first hour, we literally had no one come by to take our order, and when we finally did get food and drinks in, it took forever for them to arrive. Not to mention the weirdest part? As soon as our reservation ended, they were super quick (and kind of aggressive) about getting us off the court. It's such a shame because the place itself is awesome and has so much potential, but the service just ruined my experience. If they can tighten that up, this could easily be one of the best spots to play and hang in Phoenix. read more

We (2 couples) went on Wednesday at 5:15pm. It was 114 outside so we chose to eat inside . Our waitress was ANAZING! She was attentive without being invasive. She suggested drinks when asked. She asked if we had food allergies. She was prompt. Drinks arrived quickly. Food was served at the right temperature. Maybe the service was so hood because it wasn't super busy? I forgot to take photos. Our friends ordered fried pickles which they said weren't crisp enough. I don't like them, so I passed. They have several happy hour specials including $3 off starters, price off drinks, buy 2 sushi rolls, 3rd one free, and i think a purple of other deals. Happy hour ends at 6pm. Unfortunately, I had already eaten so I just got a starter during happy hour, which was $3 off from 3-6 pm (or something like that). The ahi poke tacos were yummy, but only came with 2 for ~$9 with the happy hour discount, so not sure if I would get it again just for the value. Also got the lychee martini, which was so delicious. Their drink menu is extensive, and there is something for everyone! Our waitress was very patient and attentive. As an avid pickleball lover, these courts were very nice. I was heartbroken though to find out that there was only one open play court. Otherwise, your party would have to pay to reserve a court. We tried to play on other courts until staff politely kicked us off, so not a great place to get lots of games in unless you're willing to pay! Overall, it's a great, well-maintained facility and definitely very popular. For playing pickleball, however, I might stick to actual courts to get in more games. read more

Stopped in for dinner while we were in the area. They have a large drink list but I stuck with a beer tonight. I also ordered the electric pickle brat, but I don't think I'd get it again. The brat was fine, but it was buried under a mound of pickled cabbage, with a thick layer of mustard on a bun that was probably 1/3 longer than the brat itself. The ratios here were all off for me. The brat was not the star of the dish here, it was overpowered by the cabbage and mustard and it came across as dry/overcooked when I dug out the brat. My brother liked the spicy chicken sandwich though! Interior of the restaurant reminds me of 1970's bohemian. Warm colors, textures and flower prints. But tasteful! The ambiance was nicely done. I've been wanting to check this spot out for a while so my hubby and I came here on a date night. We didn't want to play pickleball because it was still super hot outside but we did enjoy the restaurant ambiance and walked around. The food was just OK but the environment is really fun. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating as well as Pickleball courts and other fun outdoor games. They even had a live band on the Friday night we visited, which made the ambiance extra vibrant. I decided to try the Wellness Shot, took one sip and realized just how spicy it was. Taylor was awesome though, and let me switch it out for the Vitality Shot which wasn't as spicy. Electric Pickle in Tempe is such a unique and fun spot! It's an elevated restaurant and bar with pickleball courts, bocce ball, ping pong, and a huge outdoor bar. The grounds are spacious, with both covered and open courts, and everything is beautifully maintained. The restaurant overlooks all the action with indoor dining and outdoor patios, plus cozy fireplaces and fire pits. We sat upstairs, which was fairly quiet and perfect for catching up with friends. Our server, Hammer, was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. I had the Chi Chi (Wheatley Vodka, agave nectar, pineapple, and coconut water blended into a slushie) -- it was phenomenal. It's a bit quieter during the summer heat and on weekends, but gets lively on weekday evenings. This is a fun place to come play pickleball! They have outdoor courts and a restaurant inside the building. The outdoor courts are split up, with the regular courts under a shaded roof and the advanced courts out in the open. They have another bar right by the courts and bathrooms are by the bar. They also have lots of seating between the courts while you're waiting for your turn, and paddle racks to keep track of whose turn is next. I ordered a pizza from the outdoor bar and it was pretty good! I have yet to try food from the actual inside restaurant, but I know they have foods like sushi and pretzel buns on their menu. I like that you can see the sunset when you play in the evening. There is a designated parking lot for Electric Pickle, but it can fill up when it's busy. You'll just have to park in one of the other business's parking lots. Overall, this is a fun place to come play pickleball with your friends! read more
