I came to check out Ear Candy and celebrate my birthday and got so much more! The vibe waa so positive and welcoming--from the door staff, to the bartenders, the owners and other guests, it was just an amazing and positive vibe. We came to check out the R&B karaoke night and the vibe was great. The music, singing, and overall atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The hostess seated us at a table near the bar and told us a server would be with us shortly. We received water, but after waiting 40 minutes, no one ever came to our table to take an order or even check on us. My husband, who owns a bar himself, commented, "If I were the owner, I'd be upset watching revenue walk right out the door." As we got up to leave, he mentioned to a waitress that no one seemed to be paying attention to our section. We also noticed two other women trying to flag down a server without success. On our way out, we informed security about the lack of service. He apologized and said he would address it, but after waiting that long, we were ready to leave. The entertainment and atmosphere were definitely a plus, but the service was so poor that it overshadowed the entire experience. Hopefully management addresses the staffing and attentiveness issues because the lounge has potential. read more

Ten minutes later, another plate. By the time everything arrived, somebody at the table was done eating. Are we sharing or are we time traveling? Now let's get into the finances. A $30 deposit? Okay, cool -- I actually don't hate that idea. But the automatic 20% gratuity per person? Ohhh okay. So we tipping whether service is good, bad, or spiritually absent? Got it. Because once that 20% is secured, apparently so is the effort. No check-backs. No "How's everything tasting?" Just vibes and a bill. And if you don't like something? Don't expect a redo, a swap, or even a concerned eyebrow raise. You'll get a look, maybe a shrug, and then here's your receipt. Let's talk about the water. Plastic cups. Not filtered. Just straight "hydration but make it questionable." The band? Whew. They need acoustic panels, insulation, something. Because that bass was fighting for its life. It wasn't giving live music -- it was giving "speaker in distress." The food? The fish was salty. The crab legs were salty. If I wanted that much sodium, I'd go lick the ocean. Seasoning is cute. Over-seasoning is aggressive. There's a broken chair sitting in front of a beautiful picture wall like it's part of the aesthetic. Is it décor? Is it a test? Are we supposed to risk it for the photo? I visited Lush Cafe And Lounge for the first time for a friends birthday. We went on a karaoke night which I loved, the vibes were definitely flowing in the building and for a Thursday night it was pretty packed. The birthday girl had a very large group and the handsome gentleman that was our server did the best he could with keeping up so kudos to him. While I did not try any food, I did get the Lush Espresso Martini, and luckily it was the best espresso martini I've had, because the price point ($25) is a little wild. Friday nights at Lush Cafe and Lounge are definitely the go-to if you're looking for an upscale crowd, live music, and a classy vibe--especially on 3rd Fridays with Vaughn Willis. My girls and I had an amazing night thanks to the live music experience, which really set the tone. That said, the evening didn't start off perfectly. We had a reserved and prepaid table, but the host Shanita was outside distracted on a personal call, which left us waiting. We were initially seated in the wrong section, and when I asked to be moved, she was a bit short and told us everything was reserved. Once I pulled up the reservation, she eventually relocated us--though still not quite to the correct table. Despite the hiccup, the food was excellent--we ordered a variety of finger foods and drinks, all flavorful and well-presented. Price point is a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. Shoutout to our server Ty who was kind, and full of great energy. If she had more help we would have been able to order more drinks it was a challenge to track her down to place additional orders. Not her fault as it's a staffing issue that can easily be resolved. This spot is definitely for a 30+ crowd, with a strict dress code that keeps the vibe classy. Full-service bar, TVs, and even a private VIP room round out the experience. I really enjoy this spot. Friday nights with Vaughn Willis is always a hit. I've been a couple of times and the food was on point both times. The second time had a very limited menu but the quality was equally as good as the first time. The service is great, super friendly staff. Like all restaurants the drinks are overpriced so that's to be expected. The ambiance is nice especially on the Friday night events. Our uncle invited us out to celebrate our aunt for her birthday. He made the reservation ahead of time for Friday July 19th @ 7:30p. Once we pulled up; the restaurant is located in an area w/ other businesses close by but ample parking was available. We placed our orders for appetizers: lush crab cakes (should be 3 instead of 2 & cooked a little longer but good), jerk rolls were good but spicy w/ a delicious dipping sauce, buffalo cauliflower bites (spicy & needed less breading/ suggestion less breading & have selection of dipping sauces on the side, Lamb chops w/ fried rice & shrimp (2), short ribs which are cooked for 5hrs w/ mashed potatoes, gravy & asparagus (2). All our dinner meals were delicious which range from $38-45 per person. Our drinks we ordered were the candy rain, confessions & sexual healing. As you can see all the drinks are named after R&B songs which were very cleaver. Price $18 & up There was a live band & 2 ladies singing music which gave our overall experience a 10. My husband & I went in for dinner & music on Friday night. We were told by a friend that the place had good vibes & good food. This was our first time visiting. #1 You have to pay $30 for a reservation. No biggie. #2 There's a giant sign out front regarding dress code- however, it's not enforced. We saw at least 5 people who shouldn't have been allowed in based on that billboard out front. #3 The service SUCKED throughout the whole night. We had to chase down our waitress to get our bill so we could leave. #4 The music was abnormally loud, my ear drums felt like they were going to burst. I have never had that experience before. I've been to concerts & clubs before. Luckily I had instant relief as we left. #5 The food is outrageously overpriced. You get a big portion, but the price does not match the quality. We got the Chicken Alfredo (originally my order) & the Burger (husband's order) The Chicken Alfredo was terrible. Luckily my husband was willing to switch plates with me because otherwise that would've went to waste. They used spaghetti noodles instead of fettuccine. I didn't realize how much that could change the experience the texture was totally thrown off. The chicken was gross, the broccoli was hard, and the sauce was bland. #6 Added gratuities & refusal to split check more than once. The refusal to split the check did not apply to us, but may be inconvenient for larger parties. They stack a 20% gratuity onto your meal, and then the waitress will tell you that the gratuity isn't for her & you need to pay another tip. That was confusing. We will definitely be contacting our bank to get that straightened out. Honestly, my husband and I are not shy about splurging on upscale places every now and again, this just wasn't it. We visited for the first time for brunch, with a group of 8. We did not have a reservation however that did not hinder us from getting a table considering we arrived right when they open at 11. We had to hang out at the bar though until the last two in our party arrived, no biggie; the bartenders were very nice. Despite a few in my party being undecided, she was patient with them as they went back on forth on whether they wanted an egg on their avocado toast. Everyone placed their order at the same time however all the food did not come out at the same time. There were 3 shrimp and grits, 3 breakfast burritos, 3 avocado toasts 1 chicken and waffles, and 1 French toast. First out was 2 shrimp and grits, 2 avocado toast, and 5 mins later, one burrito, about 5 mins later, the French toast and another burrito, then shortly there after the chicken and waffles and last burrito, they forgot the last avocado toast. I did not like this method of bring it out as soon as it's ready. The food, though, was good. One buddy said the chicken tasted like someone grandma was in the back frying the chicken. I tasted the shrimp and grits and was pleased. It was flavorful. I had the burrito, which was so huge that I only ate half. The owner came to our table and shared how the place came to be and how the drink menu ties into how he and his wife met. It was a nice touch. They also had a DJ playing early 90's RnB, which is my type of music. Only reason it's not a 5 is that the food arrived at different times (we ended up praying over the first 3 entrees we got so they could eat, you cant eat cold shrimp and grits) , you had to have your whole party there before you're seated, and the waitress had big gaps in time visiting the table, which, for a party of 8 requires a bit more attention, but she was SUPER nice. Firstly, I need to get the horrible service out of the way. We were seated at 1:30 for our reservation and no one came to our table until 145 or 150. So we sat there without even having water. This part was a turn off but once they came to the table we were able to order pretty quickly. We got the mimosa flight and ordered two passionfruit but instead it seems like we got two guavas which was fine. I got the chicken and waffle. The waffle was very soft and I loved that it was red velvet and the chicken was crunchy crispy and huge, on point. We ordered a side of French toast, but never received a French toast. I think the waitress just mis understood. I did enjoy the vibe of the environment, the R&B karaoke, and we will go back to other event events. I also like that once there is a birthday celebration they play birthday decor on the table and provide the person with a free shot. I had reservations for Lush Cafe on May 16,2026 for 7pm. When we drove into the parking lot. We were meeting another couple. We were the only two cars in the lot. I thought maybe the restaurant had closed down. We were the only four customers. The waiter seated us near the bar. We informed him we would like to be away from the bar. He stated those seats were reserved. I informed him that I had a reservation and please look it up. We reluctantly seated us at the table I requested. We were celebrating our anniversary. The menu I reviewed on line was completely different from the appetizer menu in which we had to view with a QR Code. The QR Menu was appetizer only. I was very disappointed. I asked the waiter why was the Menu different He stated they were short staffed and they were in the process of hiring more people. I was very disappointed that with the service. This is a beautiful lounge. We came out for nephew's birthday and to also listen to his band Eclipze play and it was very nice. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and they have some delicious cocktails on the menu. I'm already looking for another reason to visit this grown folk's establishment and can't wait to try their brunch menu. Came here with friends after the rodeo lastnight and although the ambiance is beautiful. I feel like it was too packed, It was shoulder to shoulder packed. It took us thirty five minutes to get a drink and another forty minutes to get our wings. That the bar tender forgot about. By the time the wings came I asked her for another round of drinks and she literally told me she couldn't get us one because she was too busy literally, lol. It was about twenty of us. We didn't get upset honestly we all could see that she was definitely overwhelmed and we didn't want to add to that so we left after we ate even though we would have loved to stay the music was great. I visited this establishment last night. Got a little vodka, Sprite and a lemon drop and it cost me $33. They served it in this little cheap dollar store cup that couldn't even have been 8 ounces. It's just ridiculous cause the music is good at atmosphere is nice, but it's overpriced and you could go to so many other places and get better drinks, taller drinks for a better price. I was in Scottsdale for my 40th birthday festivities and stumbled upon this astounding establishment. I'd driven for over an hour (Googling different cities in between travel) looking for a black owned establishment. Whenever I travel I seek out to support (I am from Houston so BOBs are easier to find). This lounge was perfect for my last night in Arizona. The songstress and live band, incredibly soothing. But it does not stop there. The ambiance and the welcomeness of the staff and owner let me know it was going to be a great night. My awesome waiter provided great food and cocktail recommendations: Candy Rain cocktail (Similar to an AMF but BETTER), Jerk Eggrolls , and the showstopper Seafood Alfredo Mash. Colossal shrimp atop salmon (perfectly cooked and seasoned- I'm a Texas girl so if the flavor isn't right it's not a good night ), asparagus, and BOMB mashed potatoes dripping with Alfredo sauce. I am so happy to have found this lounge, especially on Grown & Sexy night (30+) the owner was BEYOND hospitable and she made my night the best to date.
