Tried La Hambuguesa, a burger food truck that was parked outside a bar where you can grab a drink and sit down to eat. From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. La Hamburguesa has been in my bookmarks for quite a while now, and when I saw that they had a fish sandwich special and it was their last day to try it, I had to make plans to make sure I got my hands on it. My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I was in between a 4 and 5 and went with a 5 It was an overall good experience and I'll definitely crave them again. Burgers and fries are fresh to order. You can taste the freshness. It is a bit heavy but it hits the spot when you're out on the weekend with a beer on the side. Even tho the quality is high, the price of the burger is a little steep especially bc it doesn't come with fries. But it is a GOOD sized burger. My bf and I split the fries and were pretty full. A few friends got the Viva burger, and they said it was SPICY. It's a food truck so it will move around, gotta find the location you want probably on IG. If you drive yourself and you're at Sana Sana, parking will not be easy. Parking is tight and you mostly have to pay. It's a typical food truck, ambiance would be created by location. So at Sana Sana, the outside patio with lights and a beer gives it a nice feel (during winter haha not sure how I would feel during summer) Service was friendly. The line grew out of control and scrambled. As the guy was organizing everyone to get in line he remembered I was in front and told the guy that jumped in front of me to get in line. I really appreciated that. They may have a dessert but since it wasn't listed I completely forgot or maybe they didn't have it that day but I've heard good things about that. Visited La Hamburguesa when they were at Tipsy Cactus in Mesa. I didn't realize how popular they were until we arrived! As soon as we got there you can hear everyone talking about how good they were so I immediately had high hopes. My dad got their viva mexico hamburger and seemed to really enjoy it! He said it was definitely a spicy burger (which is why I think he liked it). My mom and I were indecisive so we both split a bacon avocado and the signature burger. La Hamburguesa has been on my radar for a long time now, and one of my friends went and could not say enough about it. My husband and I finally decided to make the drive, and it was well-worth it. Parking was a bear because it's in downtown phx, but that was expected. We didn't wait in line very long, and the employee taking orders was friendly. We waited maybe 15 min for our food, and you can see everything being made fresh in the truck. The burgers were full of flavor, hot, and juicy. The beef tallow fries were fried to perfection and had a perfectly crunchy exterior. The homemade ranch was delightful as well. The fact that this is a food truck is insane. Every item is made to order so it does take a little longer but for perfection it's worth the extra time. I have been several times now because the burger is so amazing as is(the classic). The grilled onions are a must even if you're not an onion fan. Grilled to perfection and just the right seasoning. The thing that sets this place apart is the ingredients. From the homemade bun, the sauce, down to the pickles themselves, you can tell just how fresh and good quality everything is. We went on a Friday night around 6 and it wasn't too busy, but there were a lot of orders ahead of ours, so we ended up waiting about a half hour for our burgers and fries, and yes it was 100% worth it. The woman taking orders was so nice, really everyone was! You can also take your food into the restaurant to eat if you want. We don't live far so we took ours home.
