Music playing at a reasonable level to allow conversation. We ordered the BBQ pineapple burger and Hatch Chili burger, both rehab size, 10 oz and a side of sweet potato tots. Cold and refreshing. The food followed about 10 minutes later. The burgers were juicy and delicious. I ordered mine medium rare and the chef nailed it! The sweet potato tots were fresh tasting, crunchy and a little sweet. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a great burger!

The PB&J burger was disappointing. This is their flagship burger and I didn't think it was very good. You barely taste any PB or J, if at all, and it's just a plain burger with an oozing mess. Would love a stronger PB&J flavor on this one. The inside is fine, nothing out of the ordinary, but I must say our server was fantastic. I'd gladly come back and try other options since a lot of them sounded really good.

The layout is a bit challenging since the menu board faces perpendicular to where you enter. When I arrived a group were craning their necks to read the options. This is not fancy. My order was called and I had the charcoal grilled fish and my friend had the classic burger . We also split the chili fries. Both came on paper fry containers and a cafeteria style tray. There was a large condiments stand with wagon wheels. It is similar to chuckbox but much larger. The food was decent and the fish cooked correctly. I apologize for no pics, we were engaged in a stimulating conversation. People put food first but in today's workd, we need to spend more time talking and listening to one another. I completely forgot to take pics of the food. Overall, it is a simple smashed style of burger patty. The ambiance is lower lighting with a western aged setting. Think traditional western style. It was my first time and while not my preferred style of burger, the food is decent. This is a place that offers customizable food, TV's and it was not too noisy. The counter person was extremely helpful in offering insights and options. Enjoy your experience and wear your boots and Cowboy hat.

A little slow on the orders as there was only one guy working the (large) grill and another guy just taking orders and throwing buns on the griddle. We probably waited 15 minutes for our burger patty to be grilled - there was 2 other guys in front of us at the time.. Not a production house that's for sure. Meat was cooked nicely, but my only fault was the hamburger buns - once they got a bit of meat juice on them, they went soggy and fell apart quickly - which is one thing that bugs me about undercooked burger buns. Make 'em crispy and they will hold up better! This bun barely had any color despite waiting 15 min to get a cooked patty! Really!! Place could use a bit of a good clean, to be honest. While the 'old world Chuckbox vibe in Tempe' is "cool", it just looked greasy and a little messy. The fries were pretty much underdone and limp, and lacked decent seasoning. Not sure I'd revisit it unless there was an improvement in overall quality.

The 1/2 lb burgers are huge and you get a ton of taters tots on the side. The secret here, though, are the chicken sliders! The chicken and swiss cheese slider is absolutely phenomenal, it's exactly what I crave. I wanted the pizza slider also, but they were out of pepperoni. I would definitely get the sliders again, along with a burger. 2 burgers and 4 sliders with one soda for 2 adults + 1 kid was about $50, which is pretty expensive BUT we did not leave hungry (very important!). So the one caveat is that the place is small and if they get busy you are going to have to wait a while for your food. We waited 45 minutes at our table! There is one cook and one server, the vibe is VERY mom 'n pop, and they work their butts off but it can result in very slow service. Also thought it was weird that every kid at other tables got a coloring kit, but ours didn't. Also never got a soda refill. Chalk it up to so busy the waitress didn't notice. Not even gonna dock a star for that, this place deserves all its success.

The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced.
