I saw a video where a guy ate Mulitas so I wanted to try Mulitas . I searched on Yelp and this place came up. I came around noon and it wasn't busy surprisingly. I ordered the Mulitas combo but this did not come with a drink . I think it's a combo because of the taco that comes with it. It was 2 Mulitas consommé and a taco. The Mulitas were good. They were freshly made, with melted cheese and really good. The taco was also delicious. I did use the consommé but it honestly wasn't needed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food could have used more flavor. I didn't really taste any spices or seasonings .. it needed some salt or something . The food was still very much enjoyable it just didn't have a flavor punch that I was hoping to experience.. The restaurant was quaint and pretty but also very clean. The staff was also very nice . I will be back to try more menu items and update my review as I try them.

This birria is amazing, OMG so buttery soft like pulled pork. Relax its beef and the consume was simply delicious! The 'meat was cooked to perfection and the cilantro and onions just the right amount, the salsa ran out so quickly it was spicy yet kept you asking for more and drenched my birria in a salsa bath. Consume drenched tortillas were excellent, really hot when they arrived. Freshly warmed and everything was delicious. Lasted two meals, dinner and lunch very decent portions! Horchata was huge! Cinnamon and vanilla mixed in just right with the rice water. Just the right amount of ice and was perfectly chilled. Will order again perfect value, taste and price! Bueno, bonito y barato!

After five years and a new location this place is still doing it right. This time around the tacos were nice and crispy. The salsa's are amazing, love the heat just perfect. Amazing warm welcoming service.

I arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday night. Not terribly busy at this time. Birrieria Tijuana is located in a strip mall on the north side of phoenix. I ordered the ramen that they sell. I was curious what mexican ramen would taste like. It took about 10 minutes to arrive. The ramen was good. The best way to describe it would be if you bought some chili ramen from the store and added some homemade chili to it. I think it came to 17$. The staff was very friendly. I was in and out in 20 minutes. My only complaint would be the styrofoam cup it came in. It seems a little cheap, considering i ordered to dine in.

Birria was definitely juicy. Not my favorite. It's seasoning isnt there but! The bar with salsas and lemons make up for it. I loved the pickled onions. Rice was good, beans were burnt. The place is cozy, tons of space to sit and chat. Service was bland. The cashier was really annoyed with our order.

Wanted to try their birria meat again since last visit was no bueno. This time the meat was tasty and well seasoned. The portion of meat they give you is outrageously generous. I did ask for flour tortilla but came home with corn, still good but I prefer flour tortilla. Also got my favorite, their carne asada all meat burrito. Got 2 of them, one was super dry and the other one was perfecto! There seems to be inconsistency here these days. Going to chill for awhile until the new cook gets his consistency right.

First time here and I'm not familiar with the birria style (should my critique of flavors be based on items dipped in the consome?) Pretty good food when items are dipped in the consome. Kind service. Inside of restaurant is clean. Combo 2 (2 pollo mulita, pollo taco, consome) - the pollo is barely/not much seasoned so the items on their own are lacking. However, dipping in the consome was juicy and tasty, without being overly salty. - consome was light and herby, not unnecessarily salty Combo 3 (Al pastor vampibirria, pollo quesataco, asada taco) - pollo and asada are not much seasoned - al pastor is strongly seasoned For my reference - quesataco is a quesadilla (tortilla with cheese) in the shape/size of a taco - cheesy taco's shell is cheese - mulita is two tortillas on outside with a little bit of cheese and items inside - vampibirria is a tostada with meat and cheese at bottom instead of beans

First time here, had a quick Saturday lunch. Lots of people watching World Cup Soccer. Had the Four Taco Combo served with a beef consomme and shared a folded cheese quesadilla. The combination plate included two shredded beef and two Al Pastor (marinaded pork) street tacos served with finely chopped onion and cilantro. The Al Pastor tacos also had guacamole. Simply served with lots of napkins. Enjoyed the tacos. The consomme was a very tasty seasoned broth. People were buying lots of birria (consume with beef) by the cup. The folded cheese quesadilla was a meal by itself. Have to try the quesabirria tacos on my next trip or the large cup of birria. Friendly staff and good food. Put this one on your list.

Amazing BT cater to birria (my favorite) and they did such an amazing job. I ordered the keto cheese shells and the food went beyond expectations. The meat was so juicy that you didn't NEEd the consume. But all around great food

Every time I come here it gets more packed, which is both annoying and completely understandable because the food is ridiculously good. The tacos are fantastic, the fries are life-changing, and the hongos fries specifically deserve their own national holiday. This place made the Top 100 food spots in America list, and honestly? Deserved. It's the best taco spot in the country in my opinion and makes places like Torchy's feel like they're competing in junior varsity. The vibe is also way above average for a taco joint; lively, clean, and full of people who look like they just took their first bite and immediately started planning their next visit. The taco crew is always friendly too, even while dealing with lines longer than a DMV on a Monday. If you don't know what to order, here's the move: Get one taco or an especial if you're a cheese enthusiast, a medium fry with your topping of choice, and guac with chips. That's the kind of meal that makes you sit in your car afterward thinking about your life choices in a positive way. Enjoy. And maybe stretch beforehand because you're going to want to fight someone over the last hongos fry.

Out of all the restaurants I had before leaving Arizona, THIS ended up being one of the places I couldn't stop thinking about after I moved away. Ever since leaving, I've randomly craved these tacos constantly. I've tried other taco spots in Denver hoping something would compare, but honestly nothing really hit the same. So when I came back out to Phoenix recently to visit some friends, this was one of the first places I knew I needed to come back to because I had built it up so much in my head over time. And somehow... it was just as good again. The meat tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and you can literally watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even better. There's something so satisfying about seeing the tacos being made fresh instead of food just appearing from the kitchen. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The servers were also super friendly and welcoming both times I came here, which honestly makes such a difference. Everyone had great energy, the service was quick, and the whole place just feels inviting and authentic. I honestly think the fact that I remembered this place so vividly for so long says everything. Usually when you revisit a restaurant after hyping it up in your head for years, it ends up disappointing you. But this place tasted exactly how I remembered it, fresh, flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth the obsession.
