So I wanted some tacos and didn't feel like driving downtown..so I wanted to see what yelp had to offer...and let's say Tacos Calafia was pretty good. Good staff and great customer service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean and decent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the family meal. 10 tacos, 2 quesadillas and a cup of beans. Delicious. Thank you Tacos Calafia! Make sure you yelpers try this place...and don't forget to load up on the sides because if you don't. Your tacos will not be suited for deliciousness... Until again yelpers....

When I see Al Pastor on the vertical rotisserie (trompo), I'm sold. I was even more sold on the house-made flour tortillas! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was busy on a Wednesday afternoon but no one in line. When I got to the counter, another 10 people came in so I just beat the rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered 3 flour Al Pastor tacos and three corn Pastor tacos. They came in a nice tray and were ready in about five minutes after ordering. They don't put any garnishes on the tacos itself. Instead, they have a salad bar type set up where you have to put gloves on and package your own garnishes. The Al Pastor itself was very tender, but was really lacking in flavor. It also didn't come with pineapple, which I was hoping it would to give it a little bit more flavor. We ate the Al Pastor without garnishes because in our past experience, it hasn't really needed any. Next time, since it doesn't come with pineapple and was flavorless, I'm going to add a bit of lemon and cilantro. The flour tortillas were really delicious. Having tried the corn tortillas, I was very happy that we opted to try the flour tortillas since they are made in house. The tacos themselves are not your traditional street tacos that come with two tortillas. They come with one tortilla are probably about 15% larger and also thicker. Customer service at the register was just OK but customer service at pick up was great.

Great Tijuana style casual quick serve tacos - like you are at the beach. Nice margaritas and Micheladas. Salsa bar has toppings for tacos. You can request onions, jalapeños and consume with you meal. Fast wonderful Mexican food for the whole family.

Loved this place. How affordable it is, and there's the salsa bar, which is awesome. I got the mulita al pastor, love the cheesy goodness but not as big as a quesadilla so that was a win for me. The service was quick and friendly, the person who took our order was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was pretty cute, I loved the design of the wall where we sat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They serve Tijuana taqueria style food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Look at the menu, decide what you want, walk over to the counter to order, and wait patiently for your number to be called. Get your drink filled from the soda foundation then walk by the sauce, condiments, and yum cart. I got 3 chicken tacos and the carne asada nachos. Oh man, yummy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only con was they can clean the tables up a little between customer more. We had to wipe down the table we sat at and we saw some other tables in the same condition[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

I am on the fence with this place... service is good and easy.. plenty of room in there.. food comes out fast so those are all good. The guacamole is not guacamole at all.. not sure what it really is but that's not from an avocado. Maybe we need to try it a second time to see which way we vote...

Our waiter was amazingly effusive and very good at upselling - though I didn't bite at the upsell, I did get a nice mango margarita, which really hit the spot! You can see a pic of it below. But this man was hungry, I ordered a combo plate. It had a beef taco, a tostada, and an enchilada. With just a little bit of rice thrown in for good measure. OK - now here's the thing. Was the food any good? Was the ambience of the restaurant adequate for the price point? Yes and yes! Gotta say I was impressed. And a special shout out to the waiter, who gladly took a picture of us while we were chowing down our meal! Needless to say the waiter made all the difference, frankly - the service was very impressive and the food was pretty darn good too. Oh, I forgot to mention the chips and salsa? Very garlic forward and a nice little spicy hit and was absolute perfection! The funny part of it is that this place was right across the field from where the Seattle Mariners do their spring training - I had brought my mom here, probably 25 years ago as she was a major Mariners fan and wanted to see this place. I got the chicken burrito with the wildfire sauce on the side. The chicken burrito is HUGE! And very filling, especially since it comes with rice and beans too. The chicken is very tasty and tender. I always appreciate there not being an extra charge for guacamole. The fresh veggies in the pico complement every other component well. I also loved the wildfire salsa. We came back already for their crunchy tripas and will continue to visit for our taco/burrito fixes. Service: 5-stars - Open kitchen behind the service counter allows you to see how they cook their meats over the charcoal grill. Our order came out pretty quick. 10-15 mins max. It's a fast casual spot so open seating, no host/waiters but there are workers that clean the dining area. Ambiance: 4-stars - Nothing special but clean and open dining areas. Multiple TVs for your viewing pleasure along with an outdoor patio area for outdoor dining. Overall 4-stars - I will say, after ordering for takeout last week, the best experience is to dine-in. The tripas were not as crunchy when taking home to eat. However, if you like your tripas crunchy like I do, dine-in and eat fresh is the best. Tacarbon satisfied our taco craving but they also offer cheese crisps, burritos and plates that include tortillas and beans. Pretty good overall, but definitely still room for improvements - especially for the premium price point. Definitely recommend to check out if you haven't already.
