Went a lunch time so possibly the busiest it gets. They have indoor and outdoor. With music , them yelling out orders and traffic there is no real quiet space. But outside was better for that. The Salsa bar had its wide variety of sauces . Onions and lettuce, cucumbers and radishes too. Got the plate lunch with the barbacoa and asada. A lot of meat. Had a piña aqua Fresca. Also huge. I'm giving it a four because everything did feel like it could use an occasional clean. One person dedicated to that would have been nice. Might be better as a takeaway.

Damn! This place holds a piece of my heart lol the tacos are always bomb, the burritos, the quesadillas. Everything. The vibes are always great! Their music selection is great. Their customer service is fast but always very professional! It will always be one of my favorites.

Coming from the east coast authentic street tacos isn't something we come across often. This was our first stop after asking for recommendations & this recommendation hit ! Thank you to the young lady. The service was good , not too long of a wait & what made it even better is that they had a mini sauce /side bar so you can pick and choose as you please. This place gets packed but you have the option of sitting outside a double plus. I'll return

Hands down the BEST quesadilla. of. my. life!!!! It was perfectly filled with the cheesiest cheese and generous amount of meat (carne asada for me) and nice crispy outer layer. It was just perfection. Also such a huge quesadilla so worth the price of $13. The other tacos also seemed to be so filling and worth it too if you prefer tacos. Also a nice unlimited toppings bar with lettuce cucumbers etc. I was skeptical at first, but it's a definite must visit in the area.

We came on a weekday for lunch and it was so busy. The food is so good, I got the plate and you're able to select two different types of meat. I highly recommend the carne asada. The food is freshly grilled and cooked in front of you. The store is decently sized with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. ig: @cravingswithcat

Got a carne asada burrito, fajita style with peppers and onions this was an extra $1.75 + a fountain drink. Came in at $19. The burrito was ok, not worth $19, this is too expensive for a basic lunch item. The carne asada was well marinated and the salsa was tasty. This place gets packed around noon, but there seating outside on a small patio. Parking is limited.

Tacos in Phoenix are easy to find. And the majority of the spots are always impressive. So when Taco Boy's came into the scene in 2019 I was relieved that it wasn't just "another taco spot". They got the vibes, the friendly and fast service, the killer food, the drinks, they have it all. After going numerous times I thought they were due for a quick review. When I first ordered, I got 4 tacos and they came out quickly. I hit up the salsa bar where they have an assortment of salsas, onions, cilantro, you know, all the toppings you love on a taco. After devouring them I instantly wanted more so I ordered everything else on the taco menu to try and share with a friend. Everything was fantastic. You can definitely taste that it was all cooked with mesquite charcoal which added another element to the flavors. My favorites were the pastor and the tripa.

This was tough. This was close to a 3 star review. The stars: the pollo and asada. This was surprising as these two are often lacking in flavor. The pollo had nice flavor. The asada was my favorite. Greet flavor and nice char. I would definitely get all asada next time I came. The salsas were all unique and had good flavor. Three of them were mild with the rojo being the hot of the bunch, but nothing too crazy. The duds: the tripa and al pastor taco. The tripa was very chewy and not great flavor. The al pastor had some nice charred pieces but there was almost no flavor. Not sure how that was possible, but it was definitely lacking. The service and staff were friendly and fast. Very relaxed atmosphere. There is limited seating inside and out for as busy as they are during lunch. The salsa bar is tricky as it backs into the line to pay and up to the indoor seating as well as the path to outside seating. Some hits and misses but I'd be back for some asada tacos!

Hello everyone, This morning Jen & I headed out to visit The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, after a great time of a relaxing stroll and seeing the beautiful Japanese Garden, it was lunch time now and we both had the need for Mexican Food so we asked the office employees for any suggestions that might be near and they said you have to try Taco Boy's so off we went, as usual we got there in time before the Big lunch rush, I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito & Jen had a Carne Asada Taco along with a Pastor Taco, lunch was delicious, the Carne Asada was one of the best I've had, very moist & tender and loaded, Jen's tacos as well very good so happy to say we left very satisfied. There are several locations so be sure to find one near you and go give them a try and hope you have a great experience as we did.

A bustling taco spot with some juicy and flavorful options. I usually prefer El Pastor, but the asada won, with the chicken coming in a close second. The food was hot, the pepper bar was fresh, and the service was on point. We ordered 8 tacos and 2 big burritos that came out quickly. The restaurant was cleanly and maintained well. I love places that you can look right into the kitchen. That speaks volumes about the confidence the staff has in their cleaning usually. Another win in the taco smashing book! Thanks Taco Boys!

It's been a while since our visit, but we've boarded our flight and on our way back to AZ and we've already decided we will be getting our family meal to go! Last time we were in AZ we stumbled across Taco Boys and all I can say is - What A Find It Was! Corner lot with limited parking but we lucked out. The interior is festive and vibrant. Busy, on the louder side, and a definite buzz of staff, people looking to find a table and several coming in and heading out with their orders. The staff... friendly, in control and keeping it moving. For as busy as it was, I didn't feel like we had to wait long for our food. The team kept it moving - at the frills, refilling the very generous condiments or busing the tables. The FOOD! Did I say I just boarded our flight and I already know where are going for dinner? Yes it is that good. The meat was fresh, had a great chat grilled flavor and was moist. The tortillas were fresh. The condiments were plentiful but even more so flavorful. Taco Boy's, you have truly earned those five stars!

Ambiance: 7/10 open kitchen, small and hard to get a table but cool atmosphere Service: 7/10 the line went fast, they served the food out quickly Food: 7.5/10 Quesadilla: 8/10 so good I went back and ordered a second one. For some reason the smaller one was better but still delicious. Loved the tortillas and cheese they used. Super good Tacos: 7/10 good tacos. The toppings bar was cool bc you could get as much as you'd like for toppings.

We were in Phoenix for the night before heading on our flight. The taco meats are constantly being grilled in the back. We loved all the different tacos to choose where we first picked a few and when we finished we went back in line to eat more tacos. I got cabeza and tripa, which I haven't had in a taco before. So delicious and flavorful! I loved the little salsa bar where you can get all the toppings you want or salsas and a bunch of limes. Our only wish is that we wished this type of place was accessible to where we live in the Northeast!

Never a bad experience here. These boys rock the Asada and the toppings bar is bomb. I can't get enough.

Taco Boy's Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Taco Boy's

Do they take reservations?

No reservations needed, it is more of a self-serve restaurant, you come in order and grab a table when it becomes available, very casual and relaxed atmosphere.

What do they season/marinate pollo asado and carne asada with?

On the tacos, are the corn tortillas somewhat fried?

Not to my knowledge

Are the tortillas corn or flour? Or option of either?

They have both options

Do They have Taco Tuesday specials?

On TUE, 02 MAR 2021, the only special I saw was posted at the entrance: "Buy 4 tacos, get a free drink."

I'm so glad we finally went to try Casa Corazon. We met with a friend visiting from out of town…read moreduring lunch, and everyone absolutely loved it. The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

The restaurant has a small bar of three seats to enjoy some drinks.. initially we were just going to have margaritas for six dollars during happy hour but decided to have guacamole as well for $10 on happy hour. Guacamole was excellent and came with a bean dip. To complement, our guacamole and chips we checked out the salsa bar. The salsa bar has over six choices of salsa. One of my favorite salsas was hibiscus. We enjoyed our quick happy hour so much that we hope to come back for dinner as I see Mole is on the menu. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I hear that they have open a second venue not too far from the original place. They have an event venue. Their original place is in a former church. The architecture inside is very interesting due to the roof structure.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
