I found this place on Instagram and knew I had to give it a try. I decided to order the Random AF Box, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It came loaded with queso birria tacos, vampire tacos, a birria grilled cheese, birria egg rolls, and a huge pile of loaded fries. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I will absolutely be back. This place really knows how to bring the flavor when it comes to birria. Everything was packed with flavor and worth the trip. One thing to note: the location is a little surprising at first since it's inside a liquor store, which can be somewhat off-putting. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. The value is hard to beat, six tacos for $20 is a solid deal. Here's how the tacos stacked up: Al Pastor (5/5): Easily the standout. The sweet pineapple paired perfectly with the savory pork, creating a great balance of flavors. I would have loved just a little more char on the meat, but it was still my favorite taco of the bunch. Birria (4/5): Full of flavor and definitely worth ordering. A strong second place. Asada (3/5): Good, but a bit more seasoning would have elevated it. Pollo (3/5): Tender and cooked well, but I would have liked a little more seasoning to make the flavor stand out. The rice and beans (3/5): were about what I'd expect, perfectly fine, but nothing that really stood out. I really enjoyed the corn tortillas. I used to follow the taco pop ups prior to their permanent location. It is inside NorthEast Market and immediately when you walk in it's to the left hand side. We stopped in on a random Tuesday to get some tacos. I had the queso birria tacos and they were better than I remember. I got the consume which was perfection to dip my tacos in. My dad had two Al pastor tacos and enjoyed them quite a bit. We ordered quickly and got our food within a few minutes. We grabbed two drinks also our total was less than $25 dollars, which I thought was reasonable for the two of us. I would definitely recommend trying them out. A taco shop inside a convenience store going kind of viral off their birria and unique offerings. The vibes are kind of odd and they're not the friendliest bunch. The service isn't rude but it's not friendly either, 3/5. I tried the birria hard shell tacos, rice and beans, 'random af' fries with asada, California burrito, and birria grilled cheese. The birria hard shell tacos ($8) were not very good. Kind of bland, the shells were overdone and greasy, and there wasn't enough meat on the tacos. The rice is spotty with some being too overcooked and crunchy. The beans were bland and very runny, not a huge fan. 2/5 The birria grilled cheese ($15) had too much cheese for me and was also kind of bland and one note. Decent but wouldn't get again. 3/5 The California burrito ($18) didn't have guac inside which I found strange. The fries aren't crispy at all and very potato-y, it takes over the burrito a bit too much. The lack of guac makes the burrito lack a bit of pop and a balance of flavors. The meat is tender but leaning on the salty side with not a lot of other seasonings. The portion size is big but not very worth imo. 2/5 The crazy fries ($15) again are not crispy which I didn't like. A lot of potato with little meat. The sauces were fine. The whole dish is leaning very heavily on the flavor of the sauces instead of the meat/fries. 3/5 The side of consomme was also not great, pretty bland for consomme. 2/5 Overall, the flavor profile of this restaurant is very similar across all the dishes. Kind of bland and greasy. It's pricey and on the stingier side for meat portions. They desperately need some kind of bright(er) flavor to balance out the carby/greasy food. Kudos to the presentation and marketing which they do well considering the food looks good and seems to be popping up on social media. The birria tacos are easily some of my favorites in the area -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their delicious consommé. This place was recommended to me by a friend and I was super sus about going into a liquor store for a taco spot but I'm so glad I did! Food was amazing! Compliments to the chef! I went in a group of 7 and we all got different things and tried each others meals. The pizzadilla was amazing, full of meat and perfectly charred quesadilla. Grilled cheese I had a bite of and it was delicious as well. The Birria egg rolls are tied for my favorite with the pizzadilla. The atmosphere is half a traditional liquor store, so keep that in mind. If you are looking for fancy dining experience, this ain't it. This is such a unique place. Seating is inside the liquor store. The food is great. We shared the Birria French fries, Birria egg rolls and the Birria grilled cheese! Order at the counter, grab a table and food is brought to you. Red hot sauce is smoky and on the bitter side, green salsa is tomatillo rich with a small spice and the third and final sauce is habanero based with a bit of a kick. I've I tried random AF a few years ago when they were just a food trucks so I knew I had to check out their new spot! I have to say the food is still amazing! The Birria grilled cheese is fantastic! And the quesabirria as well! I also tried the Vampiro Carne Asada taco, which was really yummy. Lots of cheese the nice crispy edges! My partner had the pork burrito and he said it was spicy and delicious! However, I will say ambience wise it is not top notch. It is inside of a drive-through liquor store/convenience store and it really is just like some folding tables with plastic table cloths if you want to eat in so I probably would recommend doing to go for now But the service was very friendly. Soooooo freaking good! We stopped by after seeing an influencer visit on IG. Couldn't help but try their birria egg rolls & grilled cheese. Both were amazing, lots of cheese, nice and crispy, just delicious. We also had a burger which was pretty good as well. Salsas were delicious and fun to dip everything into. The atmosphere is laid back with just a few tables to sit down right outside of the counter. The spot also sells alcohol & drinks. I love this place! The owner is super cool and he's always trying out new specials and deals. It's inside of a liquor store, but don't let that stop you from trying it out. You place your order at the Random AF counter, then walk over to the cash register at the liquor store and pay, and then you have to give your ticket stub back to Random AF. Sometimes it can get a bit hot near the area where they make the food Everything here is amazing, but my favorites are the shrimp tacos and anything with the birria, especially the tacos but I still need to try more menu items. It's housed inside a liquor store/market, so if you don't like the Pepsi on tap you can get pretty much anything else your heart desires. We got the Pizadilla and Birria Eggrolls. Lunch with two coworkers and decided to try this place. It's literally inside a liquor store. Pretty interesting setup. The guys is super chill and friendly. You order and pay with the liquor store clerk. Water cost $1. And 2 burritos, and a plate (quesadilla with rice and beans) came out to be $55. A bit pricey. The quesadilla for the most part is good, but some of the cheese is not melted and still in its solid shredded strands. The beans are decent, but the rice is not good. I had been looking at this place on Instagram for a while and since I am getting older and needing to eat cleaner doing research before going to places is imperative and was excited because the reviews and pictures all looked so delicious. The restaurant is inside of a smoke shop/liquor store off to the side so you're not cut off guard. The employees may treat you weird when you order (like you're not supposed to be there; when they're the ones operating out of a liquor store & smoke shop) and my food came out lukewarm, which I got to go since it was very busy and there was nowhere to sit, not a bad sign. I ordered the Birria eggrolls, and when I picked up my food and immediately went out to the car to give my first opinions and the food was room temp/lukewarm, the cheese inside the eggrolls looked hardened like the rolls were cooked previously and had been sitting out, then reheated poorly; the cheese pull was the opposite of hot and stretchy & the consume soup had bits and pieces of random meat in it just in case you're curious about cross-contamination and the soup was lukewarm as well. I only ate two of the room temp eggrolls before having to go home and microwave the third as well as microwave the soup. Maybe they only make food that is worth eating if you order dine in, but I will never go back to this place nor try the one in Tempe no the new burger spot that they opened and are advertising a bunch on social media because of how much of a letdown this was. I even went back to talk to the gentleman who takes care of the payment and runs the liquor store and smoke shop part of it and he said nobody ever says anything bad about it was surprised that I had a horrible experience encouraged me to return however I don't trust places that don't do things like the first time and I have to be reprimand sadly, the only thing they're getting out of me is a one star honest review and a warning to anybody else who is looking forward to this place. /: read more

I think my expectations were too high for this place based on all the influencer's reviews. We ordered a variety of stuff. First off we got the birria grilled cheese and it was not as cheesy as it looked on ig it was pretty dry. And the bread didn't seem buttered at all The random af fries we did get without the guac and pico (so that's on us) but they were mid the asada was lacking in flavor. The California burrito was very potato heavy and flavorless. The tacos though! The quesabirria tacos were epic! And the chicken and carne asada ones were soooo good but the pastor, which is usually my favorite were so dry. The green salsa was watery and flavorless but when you mix it with the habanero one (which was recommended) it was very tasty. The roja one was terrible. The man who took our order who I believe is the owner was so kind and personable. The service was fucking excellent. Saw all the hype about this place on instagram and have been wanting to try it for a while. We went on a Sunday around 11am. I'm very disappointed, we waited about an hour for our food and it was cold and basically still frozen I don't understand how that could happen. For the price we paid for the sampler and burrito I would expect my food to be hot. This place is overpriced and definitely not what it seems on viral videos on instagram! Place looks not well maintained. Definitely don't recommend coming here and wish I could get a refund of $63 for this horrible experience. Won't be coming back here that's forsure read more

After watching many videos on ig, I was convinced this would be the best Birria in town. I was wrong. Decided to come here on a Sunday, after my kids sporting event. This is a taco shop inside of a liquor store. To start, the girl taking orders looked as if she was being held against her will, zero personality, zero people skills, zero common sense, zero will to work or make an enjoyable experience. Sad because this place is so hyped up on ig. We ordered our food, took a good 45 minutes to receive our food, once we received our food my fries were still frozen, my kids ramen had zero Birria and was room temp (should have known because after our order the Birria was 86'd) the only thing that came out hot was the carne asada burrito, AFTER waiting 45 minutes for my food I was finally told the strawberry horchata was 86'd. After realizing my fries were still frozen I waited another 10 minutes to let them know, they couldn't be remade because they didn't have any more Birria....i settled on a carne asada burrito, which had flavorless fatty carne asada, that took another 40 minutes to receive. This meal cost $78, a waste of $78 and time, sad to see this "ig worthy" place not meet expectations, you could see the frustration with the other 2 families eating there as well. I'm not sure when and where these ig videos are getting filmed because the food nor the environment is not what I experienced, what I experienced was a dirty, low quality food, understaffed unorganized poorly ran business with zero customer service.
