Full Moon Izakaya was a fun little find! The atmosphere immediately caught our attention the place was clean, inviting, and the anime decor throughout was such a cool touch. Definitely a vibe for anime lovers! Food-wise, we started with the gyoza and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and even better dipped in the ponzu sauce! We also tried the sushi flight, which was a great way to sample a few different flavors. Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The great service, fun atmosphere, and crispy tuna rice are enough for me to give Full Moon Izakaya another try. Next time, I'll be exploring more of the menu! read more

We found this place by accident. My daughter and I arrived around 6pm on a Saturday. There were no people there. Slowly others started to arrive about half hour later. I ordered hot sake and it did not disappoint. My daughter got a Ramune, miso soup, and shrimp tempura roll. No complaints! Miso soup was missing tofu that day. Apparently they were all out. Nevertheless the soup was very nice! I got two specialty rolls. The names escape me at the moment. The menu doesn't have a huge selection of rolls but I found what I like and both were VERY good! Good amount of fish vs rice. Everyone is very attentive. Service is very good. The ambiance is interesting :) nothing fancy but not too bland either. There are full moon/moon related decorations. The rolls are also named with the Moon theme in mind. Overall very nice and we will be back to try their ramen ! read more

Met a friend for some sushi on a Monday night at 830pm and needed a place that was open past 9pm when we found this spot to meet up. It was quiet and there was just one server taking care of the tables (Caleb). He was friendly and gave us time to catch up and look over the menu before ordering. I ordered the veggie gyoza and the sweet potato roll. Friend got the Moonlight and the Philly. I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic of the gyoza, but it was perfect. Nice and crispy shell and packed with veggies, and the dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. The sweet potato roll was delicious & I liked that it had some avocado and crispy crunch pieces inside. Would definitely get that again! Came by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. No other patrons so I had my choice of seating. Came for the ramen so didn't spend too much time on the menu. Let's get the most important thing out of the way: You need the crispy rice with spicy tuna. It's not a want. It's a need. I pop in here probably once a month. I'm assuming it's a family-owned joint because the one and only guy working front of house always takes care of me. He's awesome. The place is cute. It's tastefully decorated, and they have a very-on-brand, ginormous full moon light on the wall that's illuminated from behind. It's super cool. I've only ever seen a couple other diners in there with me at any time. The food comes out super fast, which is great, because I'm hungry as soon as i step in the place. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the food is always good. If you're in the area, this place is a must-stop. read more

The place was pretty much empty, there were only two occupied tables. My daughter liked her salmon sashimi but her spicy tuna roll might as well have been called cucumber roll. I moved from San Diego and have been looking for a good, authentic ramen place. Full Moon Izakaya has quickly become my go-to spot. I'm a big fan of One Piece, and I love how they decorated the interior -- it looks fantastic. I was impressed the moment I walked in. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and they guarantee the broth is slow-cooked for over 12 hours to achieve that authentic, rich, milky-white flavor. The eggs were timing perfectly. The broth wasn't too salty, which I really liked -- many other ramen places I've tried are usually too salty for my taste. I also tried the fried baby octopus. It was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. The portion was small, and it was mostly coated in batter with very little octopus inside. You can see what I mean in my photo. I have been coming here with my gf for several months now and it has become our go to spot for dinner when we don't want to cook! We have had a lot of the menu, some high lights are the chicken karaage , full moon roll , pike bowl eclipse roll, seaweed salad ( ask for no carrot) wild tonic hard kombucha, karaage bowl these are things we order most often. Things that have been ok is the ramen. The noddles are amazing! But the broth is bland and we have tried a few different options. The pork in it is either good or over cooked never consistent, we have tried the sashimi and had to send it back smelled weird. That happened last time here were there. Also they give you these pickled carrots with a lot of the food and they are absolutely nasty! Please change what you pickled these in! The service is also great but you have to be patient because most of the time there is only one person. The decore is super cute ! It's a small place but always seems to have a steady flow of people . They have happy hour and reverse happy hour. I recommend trying it! read more

Stopped by again for a quick bite to eat before bowling. I decided to try the Salmon Sashimi, Tempura cauliflower & chicken Karage. The sashimi was a good portion of 5 thick slices, the tempura was cooked properly and season well. The Karage chicken was seasoned and fried well, the chicken was very tender, the breading was a little thicker than I prefer. The lady that served me was friendly and professional. A fantastic place to get Ramen. Good service and opens late. My wife, who is part Japanese, stated that the black garlic Tonkotsu ramen is one of the best ramens she has ever had. The broth was so good. As for my Shoyu ramen, it was very good. Broth was good, noodles cooked correctly but my only critique chashu pork was a little dried out. Still very good. It was slightly overcooked but it had good flavor. We also tried their poke. The sauce was amazing, but portion size was small with very little fish and topping. Our favorite was their black garlic tonkatsu ramen. This dish was excellent; we contemplated ordering another one but decided to wait for next time. Everything from broth to perfectly cooked noodles was what made this dish exceptional. The egg was marinated perfectly, slightly sweet with creamy yolk; yum! We ordered some stuff off there but you really only save $1 from each dish. We ordered the following: - Tonkotsu Ramen 3.5/5 It was a little lack luster. Flavors weren't very deep, chasu was fine. We had to ask for some spice on the side which my fiancé enjoyed. Not bad but definitely not the best we've had. - Eclipse Roll 3/5 It was okay. I'm not big on cooked rolls, I actually was craving nigiri but unfortunately the pictures on Yelp didn't sell me on it. It was fine overall, but I would not order it again. - Gyozas 2/5 We usually always get gyozas everything we order ramen and this might be our least favorite by far. No flavor. We would not order this again either. - Fries 5/5 Per my fiancé, this was the best dish there which says a lot because I'm sure these are just freezer fries. Might have been our first time getting fries and ramen at the same spot. They came out hot and fresh. Nicely salted. All timed out great. Was not expecting that type of service at all. I got the black garlic ramen and it was amazing! Noodles nice and bouncy, char siu had amazing flavor. And the broth! So so good. Wife got a couple of jalapeño rolls and she loved them. Great pairing with the sauces she said. And the strawberry crepe cake was so good to close it all in. The lighting, seating spaces and just overall atmosphere with decorations was so clean and not overwhelming like other spots. They aren't trying to show off what they have in collections or cool lamps and chairs, it's just nice and clean simple colors and lights was very appealing to some place you can either dress up for a personal date night, or dress down and meet some friends or family for a good meal.
