Met a friend for some sushi on a Monday night at 830pm and needed a place that was open past 9pm when we found this spot to meet up. It was quiet and there was just one server taking care of the tables (Caleb). He was friendly and gave us time to catch up and look over the menu before ordering. I ordered the veggie gyoza and the sweet potato roll. Friend got the Moonlight and the Philly. I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic of the gyoza, but it was perfect. Nice and crispy shell and packed with veggies, and the dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. The sweet potato roll was delicious & I liked that it had some avocado and crispy crunch pieces inside. Would definitely get that again! Good hit the spot, service was good, and the restaurant was quiet and chill for us to have a nice girl's dinner to catch up!
Let's get the most important thing out of the way: You need the crispy rice with spicy tuna. It's not a want. It's a need. I pop in here probably once a month. I'm assuming it's a family-owned joint because the one and only guy working front of house always takes care of me. He's awesome. The place is cute. It's tastefully decorated, and they have a very-on-brand, ginormous full moon light on the wall that's illuminated from behind. It's super cool. I've only ever seen a couple other diners in there with me at any time. The food comes out super fast, which is great, because I'm hungry as soon as i step in the place. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the food is always good. If you're in the area, this place is a must-stop.
Came by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. No other patrons so I had my choice of seating. Came for the ramen so didn't spend too much time on the menu. Ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and a couple of seared tuna and salmon nigiri. Orders came out relatively quick. Sushi was satisfactory. Ramen was just okay in my opinion. Not a lot of flavor to the broth. Pork was nicely charred though. Service was very good. Wouldn't mind trying again another time.
Tried this place for the first time ! It's really cute ! I got the Tori ramen ! It was goodB good broth just the noodles were just a bit too sweet for me ! I would come back tho to try some other things !! Very good service as well! Lady was very sweet !!
The place is really cute and the theme and decor is great. The sushi was delicious and the ramen was good. One of our bowls had a small chunk of noodles stuck together as if they had not cooked all the way but it was still all pretty tasty and I'd go back to eat there again. The service was also great and attentive!
We came in for their late night happy hour menu and everything we had was delicious. I had the gyoza, spicy garlic edamame, chicken karange and my boyfriend tried a shrimp tempura roll. We loved everything and it was a great price point. Service was friendly even though we came in pretty close to closing time which was so sweet. Ambiance is nice as well. Will definitely be back.
Place is super cute with a good amount of seating, including bar seating. The vibe is really chill with a black interior, Pokémon playing, and anime pictures throughout the restaurant. Our food was fresh and delicious--the crispy rice spicy tuna is a MUST TRY!! The ramen was good, although I've had better. The service was immaculate, and our server was great. I'll definitely be back!
This sushi was very different to the other ones we have tried, had a special taste which was very good, mine also came with Enoki chips I think which I love!! The place is big, went on a Friday night and we were seated right away. They have reverse happy hour too. Ambience was great too!
Drive by stop for a hangry guy.. Took out to go clean inside about 15 tables with 12 bar seats, not traditional "sushi bar", no glass cooler with chefs behind the counter, more ramen focused? Ordered the chicken ramen add spice, then 2 rolls "lunapenjo" & rainbow roll. Good food, service a little slow but I've been back again.
Just had lunch here an hour ago. It was just ok. There was only one guy there, we walked in no greeting or anything. I get it, looks like he was alone. The place was pretty much empty, there were only two occupied tables. My daughter liked her salmon sashimi but her spicy tuna roll might as well have been called cucumber roll. Almost no tuna in there. I got the scallop dynamite roll, it was mostly rice, I didn't like it. Giving it 3 stars because my daughter liked the sashimi and the black ice tea was good. For me it would've been 2 stars.
My son was craving ramen and after searching a few places near us we ended up at full moon. And it did not disappoint. We are probably going to become regulars especially for the happy hour options but everything we had was excellent. The edamame came out hot and it was very healthy looking, the gyoza and sauce was delicious and we loved our black garlic ramen. I even had a glass of plum wine and it was quite yummy.

Grabbed some lunch here. Had a few people during lunch time to fill out the restaurant. I forgot photos but I also got a pork gyoza and cali roll. Both were very good and didn't stand a chance. I'll need to head back over for happy hour to check out the cocktails read more

Really enjoyed Full Moon! I got the Tori Ramen and a California Roll, and both were so good. The ramen was flavorful and comforting, and the California Roll was fresh and delicious. Everything came out looking great, and the atmosphere was really cute and fun. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

I moved from San Diego and have been looking for a good, authentic ramen place. Full Moon Izakaya has quickly become my go-to spot. I'm a big fan of One Piece, and I love how they decorated the interior -- it looks fantastic. I was impressed the moment I walked in. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and they guarantee the broth is slow-cooked for over 12 hours to achieve that authentic, rich, milky-white flavor. The eggs were timing perfectly. The broth wasn't too salty, which I really liked -- many other ramen places I've tried are usually too salty for my taste. I also tried the fried baby octopus. It was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. The portion was small, and it was mostly coated in batter with very little octopus inside. You can see what I mean in my photo. I'll definitely be coming back -- both for the ramen and the fun, cozy atmosphere! read more

I have been coming here with my gf for several months now and it has become our go to spot for dinner when we don't want to cook! We have had a lot of the menu, some high lights are the chicken karaage , full moon roll , pike bowl eclipse roll, seaweed salad ( ask for no carrot) wild tonic hard kombucha, karaage bowl these are things we order most often. Things that have been ok is the ramen. The noddles are amazing! But the broth is bland and we have tried a few different options. The pork in it is either good or over cooked never consistent, we have tried the sashimi and had to send it back smelled weird. That happened last time here were there. Also they give you these pickled carrots with a lot of the food and they are absolutely nasty! Please change what you pickled these in! The service is also great but you have to be patient because most of the time there is only one person. The decore is super cute ! It's a small place but always seems to have a steady flow of people . They have happy hour and reverse happy hour. I recommend trying it! read more
We had the pleasure of having lunch here recently. Service was excellent and prompt. The dining room was very open and comfortable. We tried their chicken karage appetizer. It was slightly overcooked but it had good flavor. We also tried their poke. The sauce was amazing, but portion size was small with very little fish and topping. Our favorite was their black garlic tonkatsu ramen. This dish was excellent; we contemplated ordering another one but decided to wait for next time. Everything from broth to perfectly cooked noodles was what made this dish exceptional. The egg was marinated perfectly, slightly sweet with creamy yolk; yum! The pork was also delicious and it even had slight charring. Absolutely the best! Will return just for this dish alone. Highly recommend!! read more
A fantastic place to get Ramen. Good service and opens late. My wife, who is part Japanese, stated that the black garlic Tonkotsu ramen is one of the best ramens she has ever had. The broth was so good. As for my Shoyu ramen, it was very good. Broth was good, noodles cooked correctly but my only critique chashu pork was a little dried out. Still very good. We also ordered a spicy tuna roll and a seaweed salad. Roll was good. Seaweed salad was a little salty. Highly recommend. Highly recommend. read more

Stopped by again for a quick bite to eat before bowling. I decided to try the Salmon Sashimi, Tempura cauliflower & chicken Karage. The sashimi was a good portion of 5 thick slices, the tempura was cooked properly and season well. The Karage chicken was seasoned and fried well, the chicken was very tender, the breading was a little thicker than I prefer. The lady that served me was friendly and professional. If you are in the area and wanting some sushi, hit this place up. read more
TLDR: nothing stood out, not amazing, not horrible. Just right in the middle. Came to visit family from CA and was starving after we landed in AZ. Pulled up Yelp and saw "best ramen in phoenix", took it at face value, drove there right away. It was about 6pm on a Thursday and pretty empty. We were seated right away and the waiter was nice and attentive. Happy hour runs pretty long (4-7?) everyday and then 9-close. We ordered some stuff off there but you really only save $1 from each dish. We ordered the following: - Tonkotsu Ramen 3.5/5 It was a little lack luster. Flavors weren't very deep, chasu was fine. We had to ask for some spice on the side which my fiancé enjoyed. Not bad but definitely not the best we've had. - Eclipse Roll 3/5 It was okay. I'm not big on cooked rolls, I actually was craving nigiri but unfortunately the pictures on Yelp didn't sell me on it. It was fine overall, but I would not order it again. - Gyozas 2/5 We usually always get gyozas everything we order ramen and this might be our least favorite by far. No flavor. We would not order this again either. - Fries 5/5 Per my fiancé, this was the best dish there which says a lot because I'm sure these are just freezer fries. Might have been our first time getting fries and ramen at the same spot. They came out hot and fresh. Nicely salted. Overall, it was fine but some of the reviews paint it better than it is. read more

What a great find! My friend and I both had the black garlic tonkotau ramen and it was knock-your-socks-off good! We also had gyoza and tempura ramen eggs to share, both very good. Since we came in time for happy hour, we were able to order hot sake at happy hour prices. Service was excellent, the restaurant has minimalist style decor, which is good -- less distractions from the amazing flavors of the food they serve. Service was fast and efficient, prices are very reasonable and parking is no problem. read more

Was busy for a Sunday night. Food was slow to roll out of the kitchen. Appetizers came out randomly, some after we got our meal. Servers were trying their best - had to ask for plates/utensils. Soda was flat. Food was "ok". In my opinion, a little pricy for what you get. I had the Tonkatsu - it was good and I'd probably get it again. Kids had the Tempura Shrimp rolls; they said they were average. I may or may not give this place another try - my husband said he would not be back. read more

Amazing place! Great service first off. She sat us and was not pushy at all. Gave us time needed to look at menu and decide on what we wanted in order for apps to main dish to add one and drinks. All timed out great. Was not expecting that type of service at all. I got the black garlic ramen and it was amazing! Noodles nice and bouncy, char siu had amazing flavor. And the broth! So so good. Wife got a couple of jalapeño rolls and she loved them. Great pairing with the sauces she said. And the strawberry crepe cake was so good to close it all in. The lighting, seating spaces and just overall atmosphere with decorations was so clean and not overwhelming like other spots. They aren't trying to show off what they have in collections or cool lamps and chairs, it's just nice and clean simple colors and lights was very appealing to some place you can either dress up for a personal date night, or dress down and meet some friends or family for a good meal. Loved it all. read more
