The Yellowtail Hamachi Nigiri had a buttery texture that melted in my mouth. Their Udon noodles came in a flavorful broth that was comforting and well seasoned. This place is fantastic. I've gone to the other King Salmon location before, but decided to try this one since it's newer. It seemed larger than the other location, which is a plus. We ordered multiple rolls. I can't remember all of them, but I know I got the Atlantic, central, volcano scallop, red dragon, Snow White Etc. All of their rolls are amazing and even more so that they're all 50% off, which is the best deal I think I've ever found at any good sushi restaurant. We finished up with some baked mussels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, was very disappointed by our meal last night. We ordered two specialty rolls and neither met our expectations. For the baked salmon roll, the rice was overly mushy which made the entirety of the meal unappealing. The baked salmon that was topping the roll itself was quite dry. Everything was good, let's be clear. Everything tasted fresh and was well seasoned. The gyoza were crunchy, the edamame were well salted. The fish tasted fresh. But everything was just okay. I would've liked more edamame than what was given but if you want good quality sushi they definitely deliver. The staff were professional, efficient, and kind. We have driven past King Salmon far too many times since it opened this year. This was a great opportunity for us to give it a try and it did not disappoint. The salmon is fresh and buttery. The rolls are some of the best we've had! The service was excellent. For a Friday night, it was slow inside (we were the first ones to enter and only 3 more family came in thereafter). Quality fish and totally worth the price! My friends and I had a sushi craving and needed somewhere that didn't cost an arm and a leg. King Salmon has the majority of their menu 50% off! Everything was so fresh and delicious! Our waitress was very nice and memorized our whole order without writing it down. Really great little sushi restaurant. We were staying at The Radisson Phoenix Airport on 44th street when we discovered this hidden gem. The sushi is outstanding and so reasonably priced - all rolls are 1/2 off all the time. The first night we went, we had a basic salmon roll, a seaweed salad and a Thomas Speciality roll and our whole bill was $33! Went back again 3 more times over 7 days - everything was great! Also tried the OMG roll and some Nigiri. The staff was also super nice. Don't miss this place if you are staying anywhere near th airport. It's a hole in the wall in a plaza, but the food is amazing and the prices are good. Their specialty rolls are 50% off, so they're about $10-12 each. They've got a great sushi chef most days. My friend and I came by for lunch and it satisfied the sushi cravings. My favorite is salmon, so I ordered a salmon avocado handroll and a salmon nigiri along with a seared salmon nigiri. The handrolls were 50% off (as well as some of their rolls) and it was a generous portion. There was a little bit too much rice but they did not skimp out on the fish nor avocado. The salmon nigiris were fresh and tasty, bigger cuts than most restaurants. Definitely very affordable option - we spent less than $20 for a filling lunch and will be back!
