The ramen broth tasted authentic and rich, not artificial like you find at some places. The pork in the ramen was incredibly tender, flavorful, and practically melted in my mouth. I also ordered the spicy salmon rolls, and they were outstanding--fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even better. The small atmosphere and being able to see the staff making your dishes as well also adds to a great vibe. Had a nice dinner here with friends last night. We arrived around 8pm and were seated in one of the two booths right at the entrance. It's a cool fusion place with sushi, ramen and Italian pasta. While I was tempted to try the pasta, the extremely spicy gyoza potstickers called to me even more. My friends enjoyed some beef udon and katsudon. I also had a glass of Chardonnay. The service was nice and the decor seemed a bit fusion as well- abstract art, European style paintings etc the holiday lights added a nice touch too. I enjoyed my spicy potstickers, they had a great heat- although I did not expect there to be so much broth; it was essentially dumpling soup, but it was tasty. My friends liked their meals too and we had a good time hanging out and catching up. I would recommend. Pretty good value/price! read more

Had an amazing visit on the way back home! The place is dimly lit and very relaxing. The cold soba was refreshing and with the tempura really balanced. My server was very attentive and friendly! She checked if I wanted dessert afterwards and the green tea and red bean cake immediately caught my eye. It was not very sweet, and I couldn't be happier to have tried it out! Most places over sweeten to try to mask the bitterness, but this place was a light and refreshing balance. To top it all off, as I was leaving I was told they are just about to bring out fresh anpan! I got a bunch of crunchy pieces which was pretty surprising and there wasn't even that big of a crowd, so I'm like why aren't you guys cooking everything correctly , aside from that I've always enjoyed everything else I've gotten from them. It was very different from previous versions I've had at other places, I was expecting the thick peanut sauce, but it was straight up a stir fry (and not a very good one) with peanut on top. Joined the pipe group for lunch, first time here. Ordered the daily Banta box. Today's included a nice Thai style beef salad which I thoroughly enjoyed. Large portion of white rice with 2 crispy fried shrimp and a delicious curry sauce. A small but tasty piece of sliced pork , and a tofu side, which I didn't try. 4 pieces of average California roll, and a refreshing half orange made this a hearty and satisfying meal. Also included was bowl of nice miso soup. This was a terrific meal for the price, $13, and I look forward to returning! I think the ratio of rice to contents was a lot better than other California rolls I've had in the area. The chicken karaage was a dry and had an interesting sauce more water-based, less mayo flavor than Japanese restaurants in Nevada. The miso ramen was fine, but it didn't really taste like miso. The food was definitely 4.5 star worthy. My husband's Japanese champong (not to be confused with Korean jjampong) was 5 star worthy. The special of the day poke bowl was outstanding 5/5. Quality of fish was varied and a quality Japanese rice. The tuna maki was very respectable. Why 4.5 stars? Music was too loud and they need better air extraction for their grill. I've been to Cherry Blossom many times over a decade, but my experience on Thursday night (11/13/25) was deeply concerning .Enough that I feel it's important to share for the safety of other guests. My coworker, who has ordered the same soup here countless times, immediately noticed that it tasted different this time and was much spicier. She is extremely sensitive to capsaicin and started feeling the early signs of a reaction. We told our server that her throat could begin to close, that something in the soup had changed, and that we would like the soup remade and that we would need to leave to get her medication. Instead of treating this as urgent, the server repeatedly responded with, "There are no jalapeños in the soup," as if that settled the issue. What she didn't seem to understand is that capsaicin -- found in many spicy ingredients, not just jalapeños -- can trigger allergy-like respiratory reactions such as coughing, throat irritation, and shortness of breath, even in people without diagnosed food allergies. A manager (I think she was) eventually came by, but her response was just as dismissive. She also repeated, "There are no jalapeños," without listening to what my coworker was experiencing. There was no empathy, no urgency, and no effort to help during what could have escalated into a medical emergency. This level of disregard for a guest's health is alarming. Accidents happen in restaurants, but how the staff responds is what matters and in this case, the response was unsafe and unacceptable. I truly hope the restaurant takes this seriously and trains staff on how to handle situations involving potential allergic or respiratory reactions. I'm sharing this so other diners are aware and so the restaurant has the opportunity to improve how it handles situations that require basic care and attention. Also I had posted an IG story with what happened and tagged Cherry Blossom- they did see it nor did they respond . They have no emails nor can you message them in a social dm. I recently went back to try the cafe again after going previously times. However, this time was more different since I had a reservation ahead of time and when I get to table the server was very rude. Saying I can not be sitting anywhere and I needed a reservation. When I just got seated prior from another server that seated me and my group since I made a RESERVATION. So unprofessional and proceeded to seat us all the way in a corner. Then comes back to be rude and ask which one of us ordered a water and disappeared the whole night. I love living near downtown so much, except I feel like there isn't that much great Asian food. I was soo happy when friends introduced me to Cherryblossom because it's some of the best Asian food I've had in Phoenix. It's a Japanese-Italian fusion that always hits the spot. Plus the restaurant is decorated so well and the waiters are always sweet. If you're there on the weekend I highly recommend the bento box. It is a crazy amount of food for only 14-15 dollars. Went in to take out service and I will say, next time I rather dine in. There's not much room if you want to stay in the cool indoors while you wait for food, you have to stand near the front and constantly move over because others are trying to get a table. However not a complete bad thing because our food was well worth the trouble. We were craving some spring rolls and when I asked they suggested something else and it didn't disappoint! The sauce on top was flavorful and just the right amount of spice. However, not a spring rolls so don't expect that. Their sushi roll was fresh and nice cut! Hate when the pieces are overly thick.
