This was so fun and delicious! The food was just perfect and the service was quick and easy. I really wish I got the chance to enjoy it more, parking is a nightmare and hard to find in a tight space. If you're in downtown, you have to try the food! Their matcha tiramisu was my FAVORITE part. I don't like matcha but it was so smooth, and flavorful you couldn't taste the matcha. Literal perfection. I love the ambiance although I didn't really like how dim it is. But it fit the theme of the restaurant. Can't wait to come back soon!
I've enjoyed this spot for years and it has always been my goto place for ramen. They consistently had the best broth and perfectly soft-boiled eggs soaked in flavor. Unfortunately, I visited today for the first time in a while and left feeling really disappointed, it's changed, and not for the better. I always order the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (no meat, replace with egg, extra egg, add corn and cabbage). I was surprised to be told they no longer offer cabbage, which was one of my favorite additions. The eggs were also different. They used to be served whole, and I loved slicing into them to reveal that beautiful golden yolk. This time they arrived already sliced, and once the broth was added, the yolks started to cook. I was also given a side of arugula, which honestly has no place in a ramen bowl. It felt very out of place. There were also pickled carrots, which I ended up removing, not for me. The broth was noticeably greasier than before, which was another letdown. I immediately texted my best friend (the one who originally introduced me to this place) and she shared the same thoughts. She even mentioned telling her server, "Don't mess with a good thing," and that really sums it up. I'm truly sad to say this experience left me very disappointed, and I may have to start looking for a new ramen spot. WHHHHHHYYYYYYY
This is one of my go-to Ramen spots in Downtown. The dishes are delicious, good portions, and the service is quick! The vibe inside is very low-key and a good place to bring friends or even solo. Check it out!
Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Service was fantastic. Relaxed and seat yourself but waitress working hard and promptly. We ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu with the homemade spicy paste and soft boiled egg and it was delicious. Highly recommend.
Cute Japanese ramen spot with plenty of seating and nice decor. The servers were friendly and attentive, always checking in. I ordered the Naruto ramen with all the toppings along with a melon Ramune. On a hot day, the server even brought me a cup of ice to keep the drink cold, which I really appreciated. The ramen was delicious--the noodles were perfectly al dente and the tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful.
I took my nieces to eat ramen, Our waitress was very friendly and immediately attended to us. The ambiance is spacious and the music sets the vibe, located in downtown it was a great experience. The Sake bombs are delicious.
Stopped by after parking nearby and was really impressed. I ordered the chicken ramen and added corn and fried garlic -- it was flavorful and comforting, especially the rich broth. The atmosphere was cool and relaxed, and it felt like a place with a lot of regulars who love coming back. Definitely seems like a neighborhood favorite. I'll for sure be back next time on a planned visit. Service was great as well you seat yourself when you get there and the menu is very easy to read as well.

I felt the food was filled with as much heart as it did flavor. I met the owner and he seemed like a very down to earth humble guy. Somebody who cares about the people he's serving Today is my first time back since then. I had the fried Gyoza today, which I enjoy very much. Ithas a very light flavor, not heavy or oily. They served me water without asking, and I that there was no ice, but it was still very cold. Talk to the owner again still very nice person. Every time I walk in here I feel at home. I love it. I hope they stick around for a very long time.
We ordered ramen from this place by door dash. I had the classic miso Tonkotsu ramen and my husband tried the spicy version. It was delicious. The broth came seperate from the rest of the soup. We also ordered a side of pork buns which were very yummy too! I look forward to eating here in person sometime.

Hands down the best ramen in Phoenix. The broth is incredibly flavorful, the bbq pork was delicious. Service was top notch. Will come back again.
They've really improved their menu and service! They now have amazing hand rolls (which they call sushi tacos). The seaweed wrap was crispy. We got spicy tuna, salmon, scallop, and shrimp tempura - all fresh and declicious! Their curry was as good as always, and they've removed the katsu don I wasn't a fan of in my last review. Service was great, and the entire crew is Japanese. Note that the last seating and orders are taken 15 minutes before closing time.
Went here on lunch with some work colleagues. Service was friendly and pretty quick. My Raman was delicious. It's sort of community seating but the prices are reasonable and it's definitely a good spot for lunch.

Came in for dinner on a Wednesday night after an event nearby. The restaurant had other diners, but was not busy. My friend and I were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere we'd like. There's plenty of seating available, including a long communal table. We chose a table near the entrance a friendly server came by shortly after. I ordered the creamy veggie ramen ($14.25) which comes with sesame paste, vegetable, green onion, and corn. I added a soft boiled egg for $2. The ramen was tasty and definitely on the creamy side. I enjoyed the flavor. I appreciate that they have a vegetarian option, I just wish the veggie came with tofu. Even though there's an option to add an egg, it's just not enough protein for me. My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. When we saw homemade matcha tiramisu, we couldn't resist, so my friend and I shared an order. It was light and delicious and the matcha flavor was subtle. Highly recommend. We had a great experience and would recommend Ramen Kagawa to others. read more
Phenomenal flavor! Kagawa has one of the richest tasting broths I've ever had. There's something about it that feels more 'small batch', 'homemade' over other ramen restaurants, which gave it a uniquely cozy, warm experience. The staff were quick, attentive, and helpful when it came to recommending selections or providing menu information. The restaurant itself is a bit inconspicuous, in where it's situated among the taller building of downtown. Highly recommend seeking out this hidden gem, and enjoying a wonderful bowl of ramen. read more

It was NOT the best ramen I've ever had. But, it was exactly what we were looking for. Great service. Tasty ramen. My wife loved the vegetarian ramen. Also, get the spicy red paste. It's not crazy hot but adds a nice little extra. And a surprise edamame and Sapporo $5 happy hour price!!!! Definitely check it out!! read more
I really wanted to try out the recently opened Sushi Kagawa today and was sad to see that it had already closed (due to an issue with the lease!), but their instagram pointed me to check out the original Kagawa restaurant downtown, Kagawa ramen. This place has literally been on my saved places list but I have never been able to make it over to check it out. Today was the perfect opportunity. I was in a sushi mood, so I tried 3 of their sushi tacos (scallop, spicy tuna, and salmon). The scallop taco had beautifully seared scallop on top. The salmon one had salmon roe on top. These two were my favorites. The tuna one tastes like canned tuna in a homemade spicy mayo sauce. I was quite full from the sushi, so I didn't order any ramen, though my husband ordered the spicy miso ramen and said it was very good. read more

Good crowd on a Saturday night, but got seated right away. Quick service and got us everything we ordered and needed. The waitress was very attentive and was taking care of all the tables. Not too big of a space but the ambiance and environment was comfortable. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen with Pork and got an order of Fried Gyoza for the table. The Spicy Miso Ramen was on point, noodles were al dente, broth was rich and the flavors were hitting, and it had a solid spice kick. The Fried Gyoza also on point, good crunch and consistency on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and paired with a spicy chili dipping sauce. The spicy chili sauce for the Gyoza was different from the usual, but worked really well. Good location, walkable from the main downtown area. Most definitely would recommend and come back! read more

Really delicious! My husband and I let our son pick out the restaurant for our 16th anniversary and he chose this spot as it had ramen and was anime-themed. I say anime like it's a huge thing here but really, it's just some added decoration on the walls. It's not overpowering anime culture here, and that's fine. It's just fun to see as an added perk. Sort of like insight into what the owners might enjoy in their free time which also happens to work with the Japanese restaurant. It's cute! The food itself comes out hot and fresh. And it's really delicious. I've had ramen in quite a few restaurants around the world. While I wouldn't say this is the best I've ever had, it's pretty good. The atmosphere is great, the staff is superbly friendly, and it's incredibly clean. We'd definitely come here again. The pork is soooo soft and melts in your mouth. Absolutely love it! read more
This is my favorite spot to get ramen downtown, not that there are too many. Everything I've had has been good. I like the spiciness of the habanero miso ramen, but also the vegetable ramen is really good. It has a smooth and creamy broth with a delicious nuttiness from the sesame paste. I also always add an egg to whichever one I get. The fried gyoza is also delicious and usually what I get as an appetizer. read more
Walking distance from our hotel! Like a ramen place in Tokyo, not fancy but inviting ambiance this place had. We sat on a long table in the middle. Soon a friendly server came, gave us laminated menu and got drink orders. I ordered 2 happy hour things. Dumpling with Sapporo $5, another appetizer takoyaki with Sapporo $5. Food came fast and tasty. Spicy miso was a bit salty. My kids couldn't finish their ramen. Overall good place. read more
Arrived for lunch with my cousin before the Cardinals game. Since it was located downtown, we had to pay for parking. We were seated quickly. I got the karaage for starters and glad I did! Super crunchy and filling. Not over battered. Next I got the Tokyo ramen which came with chicken, cabbage, fish cake and onions. The broth and chicken was ok-nothing memorable. However very filling and generous with the meat. The noodles were great! Probably my favorite out of the whole dish. I was disappointed that you have to pay extra for eggs. Most ramen places I've been to already have it added in. I got to try the gyozas as well and they were also a hit! Service was great! Nice, quiet but got busy when we left. read more

Really great broth with strong flavor. Even the spicy one you could still taste the miso and the spice was not too overpowering. The noodles had good consistency as well. For toppings, the pork was kind of lean for my taste and keep in mind it does not come with an egg. read more

I loveee Ramen Kagawa!! It is my all time favorite ramen place and it is the only one I've found that has spicy chicken broth (I don't eat pork). The service is quick as you pay at the front and don't really need to wait for a waiter. The ambiance is cute and sometimes they have events sometimes. Giving 4 stars cause if I remember correctly, they got rid of the chicken broth and I have to get the miso now:/ The food can sometimes be cold but as only happened once. Will definitely be back soon read more

This is only 4 stars if you never had real ramen. The toppings were ice cold, which made the broth lukewarm and impacted the flavor of the broth. The chicken was also bland and dry, like overcooked Hainan chicken. Egg was cooked to the right consistency with half runny yolk, but again, it was ice cold and took away from the flavor. read more

We were near the Convention Center without a car and had a hankering for Asian style noodles and headed here. It met our craving and was fine but not amazing. The restaurant was very busy but the wait staff was appropriately attentive. Let's start with the best: * Hokkaido Miso Ramen - 4/5. The butter added a richness to the broth that put this over the top. My son also liked that the pork wasn't very fatty. * Green tea cheesecake. 3/5. I think they should just call this a green cheesecake. It's a nice cheesecake with good creamy texture. But you only get the matcha taste in the after taste. * Seaweed Salad - 3/5. Pretty standard seaweed salad. * Tokyo Shoyu Ramen - 2/5. Disappointing. The broth tasted primarily of salt and the chicken pieces were really big. I'd recommend that they chop up the chicken into bite sized pieces. read more

I've been here several times and it doesn't disappoint. I was seated quickly and service was quick. The gyoza were crispy and delicious. My vegetarian ramen was delightful. The broth had such a depth of flavor and the noodles still had a bite to them. My favorite ramen place downtown. I will definitely be back. read more
Visiting Phoenix and decided to pick a close by spot near Sky Harbor. Katsu curry was flavorful! Sauce was on the thicker side, but portion was big and the vibes were great! Decorated with some classic anime characters like goku, naruto, luffy, eating ramen! read more

Visiting amazing ramen bars like Ramen Kagawa makes us wish there were more of them! We shared the pork buns and the regular tonkotsu ramen, and both of them were wonderful. Easily some of the best ramen we've ever had! The interior had very cool decorations and our server was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in Phoenix! read more
