2 Items Mixed Plate with Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsu

The best Hawaiian food I've had on the mainland . I grew up on Oahu as a kid and after moving here there are so many okay Hawaiian food places . The chicken katsu and kalua pork tasted exactly how it did when I was a kid it brought me right back . I will definitely be coming back

Small mom-n-pop, with a simple decor and tasty food. I would definitely recommend this place for a simple and yummy lunch.

Teriyaki Chicken Plate I found a hair in my food. The chicken was dry and overcooked. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken, but it didn't come with any sauce. I had to go back and ask for it.

New ownership and amazing improvements. First the dining area is so much cleaner and welcoming. The staff who work there are also very welcoming. They got the Aloha spirit. And the food is so ono (delicious) I got the terry beef bowl last time, this time I got the shrimp tempura plate. Very delicious.

Went for lunch, food came out pretty fast and it was super good. The rice was delicious and they gave a big portion of chicken breast which was great. The teriyaki sauce was thinner than I was used to, but it still packed a flavor punch and was great. Would come again, and I recommend you try it for yourself!

Pretty good Hawaiian BBQ. The ribs were freshly grilled. They smelled and tasted fantastic. The chicken katsu was lightly breaded and very crunchy. The teriyaki chicken was well seasoned and had good flavor. The macaroni salad was well seasoned and surprisingly light. It was lunch hour so there was a bit of a wait but they were very professional. There were about 20 seats available for indoor seating. It did feel a little cramped with everyone placing lunch orders.

We decided to eat at Paradise Hawaiian BBQ while in Phoenix towards the end of our trip because we missed eating "rice"! Because we were there for a convention, it was crowded because they are walking distance from the convention center. We decided to do a phone call order. As i called, i get yelled at over the phone "HOLD ON!" So i hold on... she finally comes back on and says "what do you want to order?" I'm kind of used to this type of yelling, because when you go to a L and L, this is exactly how they talk to. We decide to order 4 plates. We walk over to the little shop and stand in line. The one cashier seemed overwhelmed so another lady comes to help her. We get to the cashier and they know we ordered over the phone, again the lady who took the order was a little rude. So i decided to ask, who's from Hawaii? She said i am. I said wow, that's nice that you decided to open up a restaurant here. Again she was a little standoffish. So we informed her we were from Hawaii, and she looked up at us and her whole attitude was a lot different, very nice. Whether your from Hawaii or not, everyone should receive the aloha spirit. As we waited for our food, we met this guy that sat at the first table doodling on a napkin. I went over and spoke with him, come to find out he was a architect and created some of the buildings in hawaii! How cool is that. Our food then came out, everything was good.

This food was my favorite meal throughout my whole week in Phoenix!! I had never tried Hawaiian food before and I was not disappointed. The flavors were amazing for all of the meats and the meat was so tender. The woman at the counter was very nice as well and the inside was very clean and they had a nice little ice water station. Portions were huge and prices were reasonable. I ordered the paradise special 1 and it had 4 huge helpings of different types of meat to try. All amazi If I came back to Phoenix this would be my first meal choice!

K-dish, jjampong and kimchi rice with egg.

Both come with 2 sides and I enjoyed all their options. The beans have chunks of meat and a bit of spice, the slaw & potato salad are lighter than your usual mayonnaise laden standard. The brisket & pork ribs were melt in your mouth tender! No knife required. The chopped brisket was moist and perfectly sauced, served on a delicious potato bun. The staff were all very friendly. This is definitely not a place to sit at if you don't have to. Very small inside and not much to look at. Now, weather permitting sitting outside and admiring their smoker might be a good option. A must have. - sausage: I cannot speak for this because of my dairy allergen and they weren't quite sure but definitely seems great - pork smoked ends: These were absolutely my favorite. From the sauce to the tenderness and the distinct umami from the wood smoke mixing into the pork and the fat from the cut being so tender it just melts on your tongue. Comfortable, sorta on the dark side. Classy. As I was not driving today, I decided to try their smoked Old Fashioned. Excellent -- and the dark cherries they use are the perfect addition to the cocktail. (The glass is coated with smoke from a smoldering piece of pecan wood, and the cocktail was served with a cloud of smoke under a coaster covering the glass.) The pig sickles ( ribs) were the perfect chance to make a pig of myself. Had the two meat plate, pig sickles and barbecued pulled chicken, If you like corn, you must have the side of corn with your dinner. The barbecue beans were delicious. Our server did a magnificent job tending to our drinks, appetizer, and food orders -- despite being very busy (the place was packed! -- and seemed like she was in constant motion. Very nice individual who liked la Prices? It was expensive, but the best barbecue always is. Eating isn't cheap. It was well worth every dollar spent. All in all, it was a perfect dinner. The perfect parting gift: a small paper bag containing four small donuts, coated with cinnamon. Our bag didn't make it home... I think we've found the perfect place to bring our family and out-of-town guests for dinner.

People come here for the meats: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, BUT!!! Have you had this GREEN CHILE BURRITO?! I beg you to try it if you have not... most people don't know they even have it, but luckily, for my coworker and I, Director of Operations Matt, walked up to us as we dined in last Wednesday and let us sample the Green Chile. As most of you know, I can't hang when it comes to spicy foods, but this chile is THE EXCEPTION (even though it's only "mildly" spicy). We each ordered the 2 meat plate, but we were so appreciative of the sample he gave us, otherwise we would never have known about it. We ended up ordering 2 burritos for our lunch the very next day!! You can also add cheese to it! I went in again for the 3rd day in a row on Friday, since I'm not sure when I'll work in that area again (I was 10 min away all last week)!! I asked my boss if I could work there on Mondays and Fridays, that's how good this burrito is!! They also have a MEAN Pecan Pie. It's called Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie and it too, is a must try item! Matt told us it's a secret recipe from one of their employees and the crusts are hand pressed daily. Using a machine is just NOT the same, and I believe it! Since I am not sure when I'll make my way back there, I also bought another pie on Friday. So far, I've only had 1 slice because I need to ration accordingly! Prior to my 3 visits last week, I went to this location last July, when a friend was visiting from out of town. The place is clean and welcoming, and they have the best customer service! On Thursday and Friday when I ordered online and picked up, my orders were ready before the estimated pick up time! Mark was at the pick up window both times and he rocks!! I had forgotten to ask for the Banana Pudding I ordered on Wednesday when we dined in. I called as I drove home, realizing I left without it. Amanda was super friendly when she answered the phone and assured me I would have it when I came the next day. Mark delivered and had it in my bag the next day when I picked up our burritos. Service with a smile is what you'll get here! You cannot go wrong no matter what you order here! The meats are absolutely perfect and the flavor profile on everything is mind-blowing! Do yourself a favor and ask for the Green Chile anything next time you're here. Tell them I sent you! Don't sleep on the Banana Pudding or Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie, either. Something about that smoking process makes the pie stand out from every other pecan pie you've ever tasted, trust me. It's also NOT super sweet like you're probably used to. If you call in, you can't place an order by phone, so do it online and you'll get a text with an estimated time of pick up. You can skip the line inside, too. Just walk up to the pick up window and you're good to go when you ring the little doorbell. There is plenty of parking outside and they even have a large patio space should you choose to dine outside. Thank you, Matt, Mark, Amanda and the rest of the crew at Little Miss BBS Sunnyslope for such a pleasant experience every single time!! I will be back for sure!
