2 Items Mixed Plate with Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsu

The best Hawaiian food I've had on the mainland . I grew up on Oahu as a kid and after moving here there are so many okay Hawaiian food places . The chicken katsu and kalua pork tasted exactly how it did when I was a kid it brought me right back . I will definitely be coming back

Small mom-n-pop, with a simple decor and tasty food. I would definitely recommend this place for a simple and yummy lunch.

Teriyaki Chicken Plate I found a hair in my food. The chicken was dry and overcooked. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken, but it didn't come with any sauce. I had to go back and ask for it.

New ownership and amazing improvements. First the dining area is so much cleaner and welcoming. The staff who work there are also very welcoming. They got the Aloha spirit. And the food is so ono (delicious) I got the terry beef bowl last time, this time I got the shrimp tempura plate. Very delicious.

Went for lunch, food came out pretty fast and it was super good. The rice was delicious and they gave a big portion of chicken breast which was great. The teriyaki sauce was thinner than I was used to, but it still packed a flavor punch and was great. Would come again, and I recommend you try it for yourself!

Pretty good Hawaiian BBQ. The ribs were freshly grilled. They smelled and tasted fantastic. The chicken katsu was lightly breaded and very crunchy. The teriyaki chicken was well seasoned and had good flavor. The macaroni salad was well seasoned and surprisingly light. It was lunch hour so there was a bit of a wait but they were very professional. There were about 20 seats available for indoor seating. It did feel a little cramped with everyone placing lunch orders.

We decided to eat at Paradise Hawaiian BBQ while in Phoenix towards the end of our trip because we missed eating "rice"! Because we were there for a convention, it was crowded because they are walking distance from the convention center. We decided to do a phone call order. As i called, i get yelled at over the phone "HOLD ON!" So i hold on... she finally comes back on and says "what do you want to order?" I'm kind of used to this type of yelling, because when you go to a L and L, this is exactly how they talk to. We decide to order 4 plates. We walk over to the little shop and stand in line. The one cashier seemed overwhelmed so another lady comes to help her. We get to the cashier and they know we ordered over the phone, again the lady who took the order was a little rude. So i decided to ask, who's from Hawaii? She said i am. I said wow, that's nice that you decided to open up a restaurant here. Again she was a little standoffish. So we informed her we were from Hawaii, and she looked up at us and her whole attitude was a lot different, very nice. Whether your from Hawaii or not, everyone should receive the aloha spirit. As we waited for our food, we met this guy that sat at the first table doodling on a napkin. I went over and spoke with him, come to find out he was a architect and created some of the buildings in hawaii! How cool is that. Our food then came out, everything was good.

This food was my favorite meal throughout my whole week in Phoenix!! I had never tried Hawaiian food before and I was not disappointed. The flavors were amazing for all of the meats and the meat was so tender. The woman at the counter was very nice as well and the inside was very clean and they had a nice little ice water station. Portions were huge and prices were reasonable. I ordered the paradise special 1 and it had 4 huge helpings of different types of meat to try. All amazi If I came back to Phoenix this would be my first meal choice!

K-dish, jjampong and kimchi rice with egg.

I hate when you order extra sauce and you get back to your desk and it is not there. The food is decent but if they forget again I am done.

There were still about 4 groups still in the restaurant, but was mainly open. I could see this place getting busy during the weekends though, so recommend a res if you're here during peak hours. We started with cold sake and a couple of cocktails. Super cute and yummy drinks, creative and complimented the overall theme. The Asahi beer was huge and came with an ice cold glass, perfect! We got the orange chicken and drunken noodles with added chicken breast. The food was fresh and tasty. I liked that the orange chicken came with rice, and was not overly breaded. The drunken noodles were pretty salty but overall good. These two entrees were enough for two people to take a little bit of leftovers home. Recommend for a nice date night or if looking for some Asian fusion. We'll be back!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

We shifted gears and went next door to Sake Haus, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was spectacular! First of all--BEST edamame I've ever had! That tallow really adds a richness! And the gyoza had just the right amount of kick to them. We had both the hamachi crudo and the halibut crudo. They were both delicious, but the hamachi was the standout. Hamachi is usually a little too fishy for me, but this just melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. We also had one of the specials, the 808 roll. It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. We definitely ended up with a pricier meal than what we'd planned next door, but it was totally worth it! I wish I'd taken pics of the beautifully plated dishes, but I was too just eating!

The service- pretty poor. I was sat in the bar at the back but I basically sat there for a good 5 minutes and nothing. I went back up front and asked to sit at the bar and it was still pretty inattentive, especially considering no one else was even seated in the front room at the time. Never got my water refilled, had to flag them down to put in more food, that sorta thing. The vibes- thought the bar was pretty lit and is prob pretty fun during HH. The food- overpriced for what you get and portion size while the fish and flavors being a smidge above average. I left still hungry after getting the gold omakase, bad and buri roll, and hamachi crudo. The hamachi was the best part of the meal but I'd still expect at least 5 pieces for the price. Anyways, this spot will hit the spot if you have a sushi craving. I can't vouch for the drinks but I assume it more than checks the box in that regard judging by the menu, selection, and vibe. But know that you're in for some trade offs imo.
