For work I had to place and pick up a catering order for an all day training for 12-15 people. I asked some of the team members what they'd recommend, and they mentioned this place for something more unique than pizza or sandwiches. It looked like a cute location and had very reasonable catering prices. I was able to place the order online, and the pick up was so easy! The food was delicious and stayed warm how they packaged it. Definitely recommend for a catering order, and may have to try them out for a lunch on my own soon!

Aloha! I stopped in and tried a regular plate with Kalua pork and katsu chicken. I chose Mac salad, and green salad for my sides and it came with rice. The staff were friendly and the food was very good. Definitely satisfied my craving for Hawaiian food. It has a great vibe. Inside there is plenty of seating as well as outside. And a good amount of parking too. A very good experience.

Two regular plates & a side of poke!

Friendly staff and good food! Popped in here for lunch a couple weeks ago. Not from the Ahwatukee area but was craving Hawaiian food and noticed this place had good reviews. Not disappointed with my choice to stop by, it was an overall enjoyable experience. My partner and I each got a Regular plate and shared a side of Poke. For meats we got the Katsu chicken, Kalua pork, Teriyaki chicken, and Mochiko chicken. All were great. For sides we got the Mac Salad, Garlic Edamame, and Kimchi slaw. All were good; except my boyfriend noted the Kimchi slaw was lacking in flavor/seasoning. Would stop by again if in the area!

Kalua pig, rice, and mac salad before I got home.

I ordered a kid-size meal with white rice, kalua pig, and mac salad. The rice was as expected, perfectly cooked and bland just waiting for some Aloha Shoyu on top of it. The kalua pig reminded me of home, in Hawaii. The perfect amount of salt and smoke. The mac salad was the perfect addition to my combo. It was the correct consistency, right flavor, and creamy deliciousness.

Came in for some dole whip on a Saturday around 6:30 p.m. There were two workers.m and a couple people dining in. They only had the large sized drinking cups with strawberry flavor. That cup is $5.75 with a lid. They said they won't have the pineapple flavor until Tuesday. Sad day!

Solid 4 Stars Mom had an appointment at the medical offices next door and the aroma coming out of Moku Hawaiian Grill almost had me floating in the air and carrying me in like you would see the cartoons! This is my first trip to Moku Hawaiian Grill and oh boy I found a place that I look forward to returning and exploring more menu items! It is located in a very small unassuming strip mall. When you walk in you will find a relatively clean dining area. It is spread out with lots of room. The only thing that stood out were some garbage enclosures(fast food type with a slot where you would throw your garbage into) pushed against one of the walls. Not sure if they're waiting to be installed or waiting to be scrapped. I walk up to the counter to place my order and the young man who helps me is very polite and efficient with taking my order and getting to the person behind me. They are set up cafeteria style where everything is laid out on their counter in steam tables/coolers and a sneeze guard that separates the customer side of the line. I went with a "Regular Plate". It comes with two scoops of your choice of brown or white rice, two proteins and two sides. It is more than enough to take leftovers back or share with someone. For my proteins, I went with Teriyaki Steak and Pulehu Steak. For my sides, I went with double Macaroni Salad. Being trained from all the other Hawaiian Grills I've been to where this is the standard curated plate. I can't wait to try out other sides on my next trip! For being cafeteria style, OMG both steak options were tender, moist and delicious! I very much enjoyed my meal at Moku Hawaiian Grill. If I had to pick one item that is a red flag and caused me not to give this place a perfect score was the men's bathroom, I can't speak about the condition of the woman's bathroom. It was not filthy, but it could use some cleaning. The bathroom itself is in desperate need of remodeling. It is as if they worked on the entire place and ran out of energy to make it nice. The food itself was excellent. The entire vibe could have been much better if the bathroom was clean and a place you do not want to escape out of as soon as your business is done!

Had to try something new. This one's okay. Kimchi's a bit bland but good. Pelohu beef was fine, pork is good.

Ask the Community - Moku Hawaiian Grill

Do they serve Spam musubi?

OMG! Totally forgot about that. They do not. Maybe one day as a special they will do it, but not yet. I know we would be in line for that as well.

I see your statement and it is true MSG is in many food items. I would like to know if you add additional MSG besides what occurs naturally? Thank you.

I react to added MSG, badly react. I have tried just about everything on the menu and never have an issue. So no MSG! Support local business. Give them a try. Just be warned Moku is addicting.

Do you have vegan options?

If you want rice, veggies, yes. But the menu is meat.

Do you have gluten free options Do you use MSG?

Gluten free options yes

I have eaten here several times prior to becoming a Yelper. It had been a long absence. I…read moreremembered it as a cozy family owned place that would take you right back to the Hawaiian islands in feel. Plate lunches were always available with the standard 2 scoops of rice, Mac or green salad and entree. It hasn't changed much except for the addition of a large white ceramic wall hiding the kitchen and the wall mural. We wanted some katsu chicken and got a full order of it with green salad, rice and pineapple slice. Katsu style is lightly breaded breast meat fried to perfection. The chicken inside should be moist. Many overcook the batter or the chicken is dry. Not in this case. The chicken was excellent; tender and moist the way it should be. A sauce comes with the meal to dip the chicken. The rice was slightly sticky and good with the chicken. The salad was fresh and comes with a homemade thousand island dressing. We enjoyed this meal! Shared parking lot.

I remember back in the 80s Aloha Kitchen was the only gig in town and their grindes was supa ono. Their food sucks now. They always over cook the chicken katsu so now they over cooked the bulkogi. The mac salad is a plate lunch staple and they even managed to screw that up so it tasted like crap. I got the fried saimin and that wasn't too bad...I rate it a 2 out of 5. As of today 8.5.26, no manapua available. This may be a blessing in disguise. This place has fallen really far from what they used to be when Ray and Lynn ran it. Aloha Kitchen is as bad as the dumpster fire Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Sorry, but not recommended to the point of hell no, never again. I liked their chicken and short rib plate, there was chicken katsu, bbq chicken, and beef short rib for $17, which is very good price. The chicken katsu was crispy and not dry on the inside. The short ribs was grilled perfectly and not burnt. However, I'm not a big fan of their garlic shrimp, it wasn't garlicky enough for me, and kind of lack of what garlic shrimp should have-flavor. The amount of shrimp was generous though. Overall, good price and will try other plate next time.

Shame on me to not share this gem that should be celebrated by all. First, the mac salad at Leo's is hands down my favorite! For the entree, anything curry, shrimp or chicken. I am drooling as I write this! The curry hits you in all the right spots as you take your first bite. The vegetables with the curry are firm enough to not turn into mush and tender enough to eat without teeth :-).... I do not think I've had a plate at Leo's that I have not enjoyed. The dinning area is always clean, even when the line is out the door. The drink station and condiment area is equally as clean and orderly regardless of the amount of people inside. As for the crowds, I've seen UFC fighters, baseball players and ordinary folks like you and I getting their fix at Leo's! I love seeing the same employees for the years that I've been going. Even though I am one face of many that they see. They are very welcoming to every customer who walks in. I can't tell you enough. You must try this place if you have not yet. I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The beef sticks were pretty solid. Perfect amount of char on the onions and meat was pretty chewy in a good way very moist and the lime curry dipping sauce was a very good touch to go with it honestly, the pork sandwich though the amount of coleslaw they put on it was way too much and it ended up making a huge pool of coleslaw sauce underneath the bun so every time you picked up the sandwich, it would be just leaking constantly of coleslaw juice. It was way too much and it ruined the sandwich completely the meat in the sandwich at least was really good. It's just a coleslaw. Definitely ruined it funny enough I happen to look at somebody else who had caught in coleslaw, but on their tacos instead, and I was seeing the guy draining his taco because there was so much coleslaw juice they really need to fix that and then they got rid of the lobster bisque soup which was really one of the best things they had what a huge letdown there
