    Egg rolls

In a word... meh. The good: The location is central and easy to find -- it's right by my work, so it's convenient. The food is usually decent (though I've had a few real misses). Today's katsu bowl was actually really good! So, points for that. The egg rolls, though? A hard pass. They were greasy, bland, fried but somehow still mushy? and forgettable. The not-so-good: There are a few things that make this spot a struggle. First, the layout. The line to order moves quickly -- they usually have 2-3 people at the registers -- but once you've ordered, you're just... stuck awkwardly standing in the middle of chaos. The waiting area overlaps with the drink station, sauce bar, trash bins, and the rest of the line. It's cramped, messy, and stressful when it gets even a little busy. Second: the prices. I paid just over $20 for a bowl, a drink, and egg rolls. For that price, I expect something that feels a bit more worth it -- better flavor, better portions, or any kind of experience that feels like a step above average. This just wasn't it. And finally, the service. A guy blatantly cut in front of me in line, and the employee said nothing. When I finally did step up, I wasn't acknowledged for several minutes. No apology, no greeting -- just a lackluster "what can I get you?" when the person finally decided to speak to me. It left a bad taste in my mouth before I even got my food. Bottom line: Yogis works in a pinch if you want something fast and familiar, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this location -- and I definitely can't recommend it with confidence.

Stopped in for lunch today. Ordered on the app. There was a convention in town so the restaurant was packed. I ordered in the app for pickup and it was about ten minutes late but they were slammed. First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the presentation was what was expected. I will be back

While traveling in Phoenix, I've been missing Japanese food and was happy to find Yogi's Grill on 1 Washington Street. It's a small, cozy spot with both indoor and outdoor seating--cute and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. I only saw two people working--the cashier and the chef--and I was genuinely impressed by their level of commitment on a busy Friday night. If there were others working, they weren't visible, but service never felt lacking. I ordered the full-size crunch roll and a chicken/beef teriyaki bowl to go. The crunch roll was so good. If you're not familiar, it's made with imitation crab, shrimp tempura, avocado, and topped with a satisfying crunch--definitely the star of the meal. The chicken/beef teriyaki bowl was just meh for me. The meat was a bit dry, but still decent overall. I'll absolutely be back--mainly for more rolls!

Container with the soup ingredients completely dry - as they should be.

Okay, credit where credit is due. I gave these guys hell earlier today for, what turned out to be, no damn reason. Story time. No TL;DR for you! Read. It's good for you. My husband and I visited on 11/21/25 @ ~2pm. I've been sick for a while and it's been a couple of days since I've been able to eat anything substantial. My go-to cure-all in these situations is a big bowl of noodles swimming in broth. My husband and I were in the area and we decided to stop by. Every other Yogi's I've been to has been awesome so why should this one be any different? Cue the husband returning to the car with a worried expression. He tells me, "Babe. I don't know what's up with this location but I asked for extra broth and they just mixed everything in a single container." My immediate thought was, 'Oh hell no.' Nausea be damned. I was NOT about to go back home with noodles that would not be the spongy texture they should be. Side note: I have a thing for only wanting to eat noodles at their proper texture. Weird, I know. But, oh well. Anyway, I walk in and let the person at the register know that this is a to-go order of soup and I would like to have the dry ingredients separate from the broth. This person looked at me confused, trying to understand why this psycho in front of her is asking her to have the staff in the kitchen do something that's already been done. Remember, I'm still under the assumption that these noodles have been mixed with the broth. I'm deluding this because that's what my husband told me happened - so I reacted. You know, the way a rational person would? So this poor worker then tried her best to communicate to the kitchen staff the same nonsensical request that I'm demanding of her. They don't understand either so they come out and ask me to clarify my request. So I did. I asked them to remake the soup to my preference because I didn't want to go home and sit down to some soggy noodles. They obliged and basically remade the same damn order that I walked in with. I could hear some very familiar Spanish obscenities being murmured, and maybe they came from other customers. But, honestly, I deserved them becauuuse... When the person at the register grabbed my order from the window to the kitchen, she asked me to check it to make sure it was correct. It was then that I saw for myself how this miraculous container, this gift from God, was already pre-fabricated to keep the noodles separate from the broth. You know those memes where these mathematical symbols appear over a person's confused expression? That was me in real time. Now it was my turn to be just as confused as they were and all that borrowed energy I was burning through just escaped me. The staff politely gave me my order and I left. Here are pictures of the soup. As you can see, it is packed perfectly. Taste wise: 5/10. The broth was a bit too salty for me and it didn't have the same depth of flavor you can expect from other locations - specifically like the location at Tempe Marketplace. However, they went above and beyond what I would consider great customer service and for that they deserve all the business they can attract. My sincerest apologies to everyone there who had to put up with me today. You all are not paid enough to deal with that. But thank you for your patience and accommodation. I will be back again.

I tried the chicken teriyaki bowl at Yogi's Grill. The portion size was good and it was pretty filling, and the rice was cooked perfectly. Overall it was just okay though--the chicken was a little chewy in some parts. Not bad, but could have been better.

Great central location walking distance from corporate building. Plenty of seating available in the dining area. I come here for the Chicken Teriyaki bowl is always so good and tasty and you can always add any sauces to your liking at the condiments bar. Service is a bit slow during lunch hours.

Apparently, we got there before closing and there was a very mean very extraordinarily rude employee. They don't wear name tags so I can't call her out here. She wouldn't let people use the restroom even though it was 15 minutes before closing because she had already cleaned it. And then exactly at closing, she just told everyone they had to leave even though they let them order food. It's not like we knew when they closed. It's across the street from the Footprint Center and a bunch of tourists were just there trying to find something to eat. She also locked the gate to get out of the restaurant with a bike lock. People were still eating inside. Some people hadn't even gotten their food yet. She made a big fuss that we asked her to unlock it so we could leave she should not have a job. I ordered the Katsu chicken and it was actually OK.

Tofu Teriyaki Bowl comes with nothing although the picture menu above the counter shows it with veggies. Total disappointment
    Zvonko N.

Tofu bowl comes with nothing but rice although it's pictured with vegetables in the photo menu above the counter. Super disappointing, tastes inedible. I asked about the vegetables and was told I had to ask for them while ordering. I was given an option and I thought I was getting what I pointed in in the picture I wasn't offered any vegetables as a result either.

Great service and less than a block from the Footprint Center! That's right something healthy to eat and drink with quick service. I had the sushi that's hit the My husband had the chicken and beef bowl that's was more than plenty (large) with a beer for less than $15 Less expensive than arena food for sure. Highly recommend We will definitely be back!

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

I added a soft boiled egg for $2. The ramen was tasty and definitely on the creamy side. I enjoyed the flavor. I appreciate that they have a vegetarian option, I just wish the veggie came with tofu. Even though there's an option to add an egg, it's just not enough protein for me. My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. The staff were friendly and doing their best despite being short-handed (only three people working during my visit). The place has an open layout, which makes cleanliness and organization very visible--unfortunately, things felt a bit disorganized at times. Tables were sticky when I arrived (though staff eventually wiped them down after I'd finished eating), and there was an odd, unpleasant odor coming from the floor drain near the soda machine. That said, the sushi quality was solid enough that I'd definitely return for the food. With a little attention to upkeep and organization, this spot could easily become a go-to for quick, tasty sushi. (Overall impression: Worth it for the sushi alone, but the ambiance and minor issues hold it back slightly.)

I would recommend it to someone wanting to try unique ramen/udon, not authentic. It was not like…read moreany noodles I've had before and I didn't mind! The lemonade was also really good. My only gripe would be the ambiance and service is a little rushed. It could've just been the time we went but the servers were lingering while we were chatting so we felt like they wanted our seats cleared... I would definitely want to try it again though, just maybe at another time...

I have to say that I had a much better experience several years ago and had a much better memory of…read morethis place than when I went back to get ramen the second time. However!!!! This was partially just because when we looked up the menu online, the ramen was several dollars cheaper than when we went in and that was kind of disappointing to find. Overall, the staff was totally loving and supportive, great company to talk to and beautiful people in general. I would have loved to go back to try more food there honestly if the prices were what they had been in the online photos I'd found. I tried the bulgogi ramen which was just more or less just not what I expected because the meat was very thickly cut and much more salty than traditional korean bulgogi - otherwise I would've loved this ramen. So many mushrooms and toppings galore. PLUS VEGAN RAMENS! SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS!!! I just couldn't choose. Would definitely go back. Loved the outdoor patio for people and pup watching as well. No shortage of service out there either.
