I had a great experience. I went late one Saturday night. The staff was very lively. The meal did take a while to get to my table. I actually think they forgot about us. Because the waiter came and asked, if I ever get my rolt? And I said, no, and she apologized profusely, and within 7 minutes or so I was eating. There is outside patio, which is very nice in November. There is accessible parking near the front and accessible entrance.

    Is this a joke ?

Positive : Moira was opened and we were seated outside on a lovely evening. The rest.... We had the poke nachos, senna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and Kara (chicken bites). We ordered the gold rush cocktail, but they were out of Lavendar so it was a no go. Instead, we just ordered two Tito's and soda. She asked if we wanted any garnishments and I said , "sure....lime.". She said they didn't have lime and asked if a lemon would be OK. We both agreed it was fine. No biggie. It would have been nice to disclose that the 2 tiny slices of lemon would cost us two dollars! Who charges for this on a cocktail as an up charged ? Ridiculous! Nachos were more like won tons on top of some diced tuna and avocado in a deep bowl. Odd to eat - tasted fine. It was just disjointed and weird. Sushi : no no no NO flavor, no tuna, no shrimp, nothing! It was all blah, mushy rice. I'd prefer my local grocery store sushi over this. So disappointing! The Kara was fine, but the description said it came with seaweed. When I inquired with our server after the fish arrived, she said there was seaweed "in the batter" and we would "taste the seaweed flavor there.". Still waiting It was prepared in a blonde batter with no flavor of nori, no green, no umami, no sign of it. Sorry - a huge miss there. It was served in a bowl over some raw cabbage. The atmosphere was not appealing but not off putting aesthetically. We were just happy to sit outside and grab a bite, even if the bit wasn't great. Paying $2.00 for two slices of lemon earned the 1 star, in tandem with the food that just didn't meet the mark. Sorry, Moira. It's a hard no for us.

don't get the karaage it's bad ... looks like popcorn chicken. and they serve it with honey mustard?? drinks are good though. happy hour has good prices.

This place is a downtown gem. They have a really great happy hour and it's reverse on the weekends. They have a better cocktail list than a lot of nearby sushi places. They even allow dogs on the patio which I really appreciate! I like to sit at the bar and watch the chefs make sushi and food since it's an open kitchen.

Came across Moira Sushi Bar & Kitchen while strolling the downtown area and gave it a go. It was busy inside but I was able to get a seat at the bar top. The staff was all great and friendly. Had a few role and it was ok. My favorite was the coconut shrimp with their spicy mayo on top. Those are a must try if you give Moira a go.

mehhhhh... super expensive for what we got honestly. love that this spot is open late but $20 for this roll and $16 for what's basically a large green tea shot was definitely a lot. but the sushi tasted alright and the drink was pretty good! my friends got appetizers but couldnt justify the drink prices for a cocktail. definitely conveniently located for a late night sushi dinner, but not worth the price. good service i would say! and we were seated relatively quickly for a first friday night. good ambiance and strong AC.

Everything. Service was superb. And loved the rolls. Lobster and something and crab something. Highly recommend it

Had dinner at Moira Sushi in downtown Phoenix and I'm so glad we went. The ambience was super chill but stylish, perfect for a date night. The service was friendly and quick, and they made us feel really welcome. The sushi? So fresh and flavorful. The spicy tuna roll and baked lobster roll were definitely the standouts. Great spot for good vibes and even better sushi can't wait to go back!

The atmosphere at Moira is very artsy cool. The mural on the wall really sets the mood, as do the red lights. We sat on the patio which was a little quieter. We ordered a few different things, but I especially liked the crispy rice and the ahi poke nachos. Both were absolutely delicious! Cocktails were delicious, too. This is a great place of your looking to eat a little late. They are opened until 2 am on weekends.

No signage indicates to wait for a host or if bar is open seating or not .

The food and ambiance here are always awesome, which is why it's one of our favorite spots. But this visit didn't quite hit the mark. Sam, who I think is the manager, wasn't exactly welcoming. He was rocking an "Anti Sushi Sushi Club" shirt--which, in hindsight, might've been a sarcastic flag. There's no sign saying to wait for a host, so when we asked, "Is the bar open seating?" his response--"No, are you in line? There are others waiting"--felt unnecessarily snippy. If Sam or the other staff had actually looked around, they would've seen we'd been waiting by the podium for over five minutes. It wasn't even busy--there were only two people seated at the bar. Once we got settled, the food came out fresh and fast as always, but the whole vibe was off from the start. It's disappointing, especially since this place is usually our go-to.

Funny enough, this actually wasn't even the exact restaurant my partner had been thinking of when he brought it up, but honestly I'm so glad we ended up here anyway because the food was REALLY good. We ordered the flaming ohmygod sushi roll, and man... it was amazing. Not only was the presentation fun, but the sushi itself actually tasted incredible too, which sometimes isn't the case with more "gimmicky" menu items. It was so good that I literally ordered another roll to-go and took it on the plane back home with me because I already knew I'd be craving it later. That alone should say enough about how much I liked it. I also tried the matcha martini, and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. It had the perfect balance of matcha flavor and alcohol where neither one overpowered the other. Sometimes matcha drinks either taste way too earthy or completely lose the matcha flavor under the alcohol, but this one was super smooth, flavorful, and really well done. The restaurant itself also has a really nice atmosphere. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor area definitely has a more upscale vibe than your usual sushi spot and that makes the experience feel a little more elevated and perfect for a date night. On top of all that, the servers were super friendly and provided genuinely great service throughout the meal. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made the experience feel really comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, this place completely exceeded my expectations. Great sushi, fun presentation, amazing drinks, friendly service, and a really nice atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were there at around 5pm and it wasn't too busy, but there was a steady flow of diners coming in and out. Seating is ample, with outdoor, bar, sushi bar, and regular table options. I ordered two rolls: hot havana and mango roll. Both were delicious and the mango was juicy! The purple rice was super fun and set them apart from other sushi spots. I also ordered the miso soup to start. The food came out quickly. My only "complaint" is there aren't a ton of classic roll options. But this is a more upscale sushi restaurant, so it isn't surprising. I will keep this place in my list of spots to hit when I'm looking for a bite to eat in DTPHX.

Relatively quaint, but still ample seating, we were able to walk in and get a table no problem on a Tuesday evening. I went with the spicy miso ramen with chicken, and added a soft boil egg. I was not disappointed! The broth was super flavorful, perfectly spiced, ample protein and overall portion and perfectly cooked egg. I left full and still had leftovers! My friend got their veggie ramen, which she did enjoy, it was a bit thicker of a broth, but had good flavor. We ended the meal with their matcha tiramisu, which was very light, almost more whip cream style, but equally delicious. Service was friendly and fast. The prices were really reasonable and overall it was an enjoyable experience! Unfortunately, I visited today for the first time in a while and left feeling really disappointed, it's changed, and not for the better. I always order the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (no meat, replace with egg, extra egg, add corn and cabbage). I was surprised to be told they no longer offer cabbage, which was one of my favorite additions. The eggs were also different. They used to be served whole, and I loved slicing into them to reveal that beautiful golden yolk. This time they arrived already sliced, and once the broth was added, the yolks started to cook. I was also given a side of arugula, which honestly has no place in a ramen bowl. It felt very out of place. There were also pickled carrots, which I ended up removing, not for me. The broth was noticeably greasier than before, which was another letdown. I immediately texted my best friend (the one who originally introduced me to this place) and she shared the same thoughts. She even mentioned telling her server, "Don't mess with a good thing," and that really sums it up. I'm truly sad to say this experience left me very disappointed, and I may have to start looking for a new ramen spot. WHHHHHHYYYYYYY

Our group of six waited quite a while to be seated, which isn't surprising given the night and the fact that two large sections were reserved for private parties. During the wait, seating was a challenge--we were asked to move around a few times, which got a little frustrating. Service is good overall, but during peak rush it can be tough to flag someone down when you need help. On the plus side, the happy hour menu is strong and definitely worth taking advantage of. Once you're settled in, the vibe carries the experience. Great energy and a fun scene--just be ready for a bit of a wait and some crowd management on busy nights.
