Thai basil is my favorite thai place, it's always amazing I always forget to get pictures because it's so good I remembered mid meal this time lol. We got shrimp wraps, thai pot stickers & pad thai level 2 spice all was good!! My favorite is the yellow curry & chicken satay! Clean & calm environment and our server kept up with our drinks and made sure our water was refilled often!

I did a pick up order and it was ready quick however I've never had a Thai place that lacked more flavor. The description had grilled shrimp but the shrimp just looks and tastes like it was thawed. The pad Thai has no flavor and both dishes didn't come with any chilli inside nor packed on the side. Extremely disappointing.

Stopped in for a quick meal before a nearby basketball game. Food was excellent. Service was prompt and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

This is the second dish they made. The eggplant dish had hardly any eggplant. In addition to the worst white rice I ever had.

This is one off the worst meals I've ever had. Read my other reviews and I normally don't write a bad review. I voiced my opinion and the server smiled and walked away leaving the bill.

The perfect spot for a Thai food fix! I enjoyed my window seat with a nice view to downtown. The staff was great and the food? .. amazing! I tried the spicy noodle with a level 3 of spiciness. It did not disappoint. There is street and garage parking nearby.

I came here on a Tuesday night after I'd landed in Phoenix. I got the chicken pad-see-ew and it was really good. I asked for a spice of 3 and I didn't taste any spice so I guess I should've went up a couple levels to feel the heat. The service was excellent. They were very attentive and kept an eye on my drink for when I needed a refill. I'd highly recommend this spot for some great Thai food.

Great lunch spot. Super reasonably priced. Excellent & attentive service. I ordered the BBQ pork w/o rice or veggies & it was exactly what I needed. 3 small portions of BBQ pork but the perfect size for lunch. It wasn't too loud when we came in so we could easily hear each other at the table. Would definitely recommend & will definitely come back.

Take out only review - This place was recommended by a coworker who is local to Phoenix and when he said this will be one of the best places I will eat Thai food, he was for sure not kidding. So, I walked by a few times, place is always packed (which I always think is for a reason) I decided to stop by on a Sunday night and ordered a chicken pad thai and some veggie spring rolls. This might sound like a very basic order, but friends, this was really flavorful. Mind that I got the food and walked about 10 minutes to the hotel where I was staying, ate one of the springrolls and when I went to the pad thai, it was hot still!!!! I could not believe that. I've got pad thai from places literally across the street before and never stays warm. And it gets better, I just ate half of it and microwaved the rest the night after and it was still good! The only thing that I would consider when I am back (because there is no way I am going back to Phoenix and not stopping by here) is just the level of spicy. Out of 5 levels I wen adventurous and ordered level 3. It was too much for me at certain point. But that is basically something I chose. I am just giving you the heads up that level 3 is still spicy Loved the place, and will love to dine in soon

**July 2026: Thursday Night**…read more We wanted to end our trip on a high note and try Lom Wong, especially since it's a James Beard Award winner. It also felt like a sign that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, so we knew we had to check it out before leaving Phoenix. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking can be a little tricky, so it's probably good to plan ahead. We didn't need a reservation when we went, but I'd probably recommend one if you're coming with a party of four or more. We were seated at the bar and ordered a four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu - though I think we probabaly could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were defintitely my favorite though eerything was incredibly flavorful and seasoned really well. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. It was the perfect final meal for our trip, and I'd definitely come back again.

I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

I expected the restaurant to be busy during lunch time, but I certainly did not expect how small it is. It felt crammed inside, but no big deal. Parking was also tricky. I went for the Chicken Pad Thai and stuck with water as my drink. I was pleasantly surprised when the food started coming out because I expected it to take longer. I'd say it took about 15 minutes, even during lunch rush. My Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. The serving size was good and it came with a spring roll on the side. The price isn't bad at all either. Parking was easy, but unfortunately the service was the worst part of the visit. I sat down to look at the menu and place a to-go order, only to be told to move to another seat. A simple order of pad thai and spring rolls took exactly 42 minutes. After several follow-ups, no one told me the food was ready until I walked up to the counter myself. Overall, a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend it with other Thai restaurant options nearby.
