Excellent food, though it looks like a dump. I find those often go together! This is in a very old little strip mall, and from the outside you may think it looks sketchy. I have standards for any BBH. This one of my favorite BBH bowls in all of the valley. It's more traditional with the pork hock, pork blood, beef shank, cha lua. They actually use lemongrass so it's tasty! Their mam on the side is so good. Not spicy, not smelly just perfect. Broth is good! Service is awesome. The last time we came here was before the ownership changed, back when it was called Maxim instead of Que Huong. We hadn't been back for years! We ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice, Bun Bo Hue, Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, and Crispy Tofu. Everything was great except the chicken in the Hainan Chicken Rice was really dry. It might be because they used chicken breast instead of chicken thighs. However, the soup and the sauce that came with the rice were very flavorful. We really enjoyed the Crispy Tofu and the Bun Bo Hue. The restaurant doesn't have fancy decorations and the interior feels a bit outdated, but the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Outside looks deceiving. It gives a feeling of 'closed' or 'enter as you wish,' but I'm always reminded the best places have a little grit to them so I went in after contemplating in the parking lot for a good 10 mins. I dined in and was tempted to get the combo fried rice due to a neighboring table that ordered it, and it looked fiyah; but, I stayed focused and ordered what I came for. I had no regrets. There's something about egg noodles in pho that give me life; add a good spring roll, and we're in business. I don't recall having to add too many seasonings, so that's always a plus, but to this day, I still think of that combo fried rice. I'll definitely have to get that next time. Restaurants that appear unassuming often have the best food, and Que Huong is no exception! The bun bo hue broth was flavorful, rich but still refreshing, and one of the best I've had. Really liked the egg rolls in the bun cha vermicelli bowl as well. The banh xeo was crispy and delicious with the fish sauce (although my favorite banh xeo is in Orange County). Had the best experience here! The food was so good we didn't even stop to take pictures -- which says a lot. The Bun Bo Hue was incredible, and the grilled pork spring rolls were absolutely amazing. So excited we found this spot -- I'll definitely be sending my partner back for takeout (and Thai tea!). The whole place has such warm, family vibes, and the bread was so fresh and delicious. I've been all over the menu and absolutely love everything I've ever had. It's so hard to decide on what to eat because I'd like one of everything. We usually get the egg rolls for the toddler because she will devour them. I really love the Bún bò Huế which is a spicy soup with steak and meat balls. I also love their bûn noodle dish with grilled pork. The shaken beef is great. The banh mi sandwiches are delicious too. The people that run the place are all super kind and the place is beautifully decorated. I love sitting at the big table with the lazy susan to eat family style. Ifound the Pork Spring Roll a little tough - because the pork filling was generous. The fresh basil wrapping the pork, visible through the cear spring roll skin was a flavor I enjoyed. Diners can choose from a table rack of chopsticks and ceramic soup spoons or Dine with cutlery. I got the Chicken Noodles, a souped-up Ramen far surpassing anything packaged. So I am just judging the food. The decor? Nope. The service? Neither. Just the food. And as I am a big vegetarian, that's the lens of my palate. I tried something that I normally don't at a Vietnamese restaurant. If you want to look at those other reviews, it may be helpful. Here it was the fried noodles that were ordered with tofu and veggies. The nest of noodles crispy under the weight of sauteed goodness with the softening crunchiness by the brown sauce. My Pho experience was really good The menu had limited Pho options. For example, I did not see vegetable Pho. It appears that Chinese food is also available. I was greeted as soon as I came in so the service was friendly the entire time. The music playing is so chill and calm. All I wanted to do was take a nap after my meal. Pho Tai was very nice. Good broth, light in color and very clear with a nice fragrant quality. Not my favorite, but definitely not bad. Noodle and meat portions were both reasonable, and prices were great. Very friendly staff for takeout, and the menu was diverse. This is a typical family-run Viet restaurant with the vibe to match. This little Vietnamese shop was tucked in the corner of a complex. I was feeling a little under the weather and wanting pho-- but I've noticed a lot of places around Phoenix don't always have tripe for the combo which is a staple for me. This one was close, so ordered pho, wonton soup with egg noodle, and spring rolls. I wish the pho had more tripe but the broth was soooo good. It was perfect for me. I also love that they have hot chili oil to spice it up a little. The wonton noodle was good as well but the pho will always be my go to. Ok so yesterday I woke up and was like Pho on the brain. I wanted to try a new Pho restaurant I had never been too. Asian food is my top favorite food. Sushi first, Pho second, Thai third, and list goes on. I have a philosophy if you go to a restaurant and see the people from the culture that the food is from then it is authentic and going to be bomb. I walk in and this Vietnamese family is at this huge table. As I sat there more Vietnamese people came in, yup this is going to be bomb. I ordered a different Pho than normal found out about difference per region. Clean, friendly, and what I most loved was first time I had Pho that was hot other Pho restaurants pho is mostly warm.
