The Restaurant

It's First Come, First Serve, and Worth the Wait. If the Parking Lot is Full, so is the restaurant. We Started with Crispy Egg Rolls and a half order of the Bahn Xeo ( single crepe ) For mine, I got the*11, Beef Pho with steak, brisket, and Flank steak. The restaurant is packed with tables and seating. The service is efficient and the Food is Flavorful.

The best pho I have had in Phoenix. Been living here for two years now and I've finally found a good pho restaurant that lives up to my Vietnamese standards. I got the pho dac biet and it was great. We had a large party and ended up waiting an hour but the staff was so nice and gave us free appetizers for waiting. The Banh xeo was nice and crispy!

I've had this place bookmarked for years. My nail gals mentioned this place had the best pho so I knew I had to make it a priority to go. I have 40 years of experience (lol) eating pho and I will say this is probably one of the best I've ever had! I'm going to say it, this might be better than my mom's! Broth was clean and flavorful. No need to add hoisin or sriracha to doctor it up. I did the XL beef pho and it was full to the rim! So worth the price. Also had the half order of the banh xeo and that was delish too. Huge for half an order! Annnd we did the pork and shrimp spring rolls. Freshly made and full as well. Now I see why everyone raves about it so much. I don't think I can go anywhere else for pho.

When the place has a 45 min wait and filled with Vietnamese customers, you're in for a treat! I was recommended this place by my nail guy and since I was off for the holiday, my kiddo and I checked it out. It was after a big microburst of rain, so I thought it would be empty! Not! Everyone was thinking the same as me. Talk about traffic in and out of here! There's not many tables but when you look in, everyone has their heads down enjoying the food! Be prepared to wait and pack some patience! The aromas waft through the building! I'll definitely visit again!

Hands down one of the best pho in AZ. I ordered the Banh Xeo and Dac Biet pho in a medium. As you can see, they're generous with the serving size. This place gets packed quickly and wait times can be long but it's definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is cozy and the service was A1. This was my first time at this spot and won't be my last. If you're around the Phoenix area and are craving pho, this is the spot you need to check out.

One of the best bowls of pho you can find in AZ! We ordered the Bun Nuoc Leo and pho. Both were absolutely delicious and flavorful. I've been here many times and their pho never disappoints. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but once you order, the service is quick and efficient. The restaurant is family owned and the space itself is small and cozy. They also take card, which is always a plus. There is a few parking spots in front. Sometimes the lot can be packed but I haven't had trouble with parking the last few times I've went. Definitely a go-to spot when I'm craving a comforting bowl of pho. Wish this place was closer to me. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! We ordered pho, vermicelli, and spring rolls. The broth of pho was sooo good, steak was also tender and flavorful. The egg roll on the vermicelli was crunchy and crispy, grilled pork was also good too, the sauce was not too salty, it's a very refreshing dish. Spring rolls came with peanut butter kind of sauce, very thick but tasted light! Great appetizer for summer. The staff were very kind and friendly as well, we waited for seats for 20 minutes even it was 10:30am, but the dishes came out fast.

By far the BEST pho restaurant in AZ! Love the family business that they have there- all of them care and give back to the community so much and spread so much love. Food is always so good and made fresh. The pho broth is one of the most pure I've tasted. The vibe of the restaurant is just so comforting with each of them always showing love. I highly recommend coming here!

I'm very biased when it comes to pho because as a Vietnamese American, my mom's homemade pho is the best and will always be the best. However, the pho here at Pho43 is veryyyy close to being almost as good as hers. They definitely don't skimp out on the noodles and different types of meats, I ordered a small bowl and still couldn't finish it all. Unfortunately, parking is kind of limited only because this place can get packed. We came on a Saturday around brunch time, and the wait was about 20 min. The restaurant is very small so we had to wait in the car. Once seated, the servers were amazing. They constantly checked up on us, refilled our water, and got anything we needed. We ordered the Banh Xeo and the Pho Dac Biet, and they were both soooo full of flavor and very authentic, the same taste I remember while growing up. It's safe to say this won't be my last time here. A must visit in Phoenix for sure, even on the hottest summer days.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! My family and I were looking for some Viet food since we haven't had any our whole trip and found this little place. It looked questionable from the outside, but boy when you go inside you know it's gonna be good! They had a good mix of people, including a good amount of Viet people, so you know it's good. It was packed with a waitlist, but it went by quick. It felt exactly like your typical family party! The families kids in the corner, good music, and of course the cute bottles as decor lol!! The food came out quick and is so cheap! Soso generous with the meat in the Pho and with the side vegetables too which I love!! The only thing is that it gets packed so parking can be hard to find. Give this place a try if you're in the area!!

I've been wanting to come here for a while now and I finally decided to go. This was the best bowl of pho I've had. When we got here it was very busy, we had to wait 40 minutes but it was worth the wait. It felt like a reward. I got the #10 which was brisket pho and steak. When I saw the prices on the menu I was genuinely surprised, very affordable for the portion size. The thing I loved the most was that the bowls had so much onion and green onions. The meat was super tender and had so much flavor. The broth also caught me by surprise, it was so flavorful and it felt like creamy in a way, I can't even describe it. Although the place was very busy, the workers there were all over the place making sure everyone had what they needed. The service was also very fast, we ordered and our bowls came out like 7 minutes after. I love when the bowl is boiling hot and that's exactly how we got it. I will say, the restaurant is very small and the parking spots are limited. When we came there was no parking available because of how full it was. I do wish the place was a little bigger and the hours were longer. They close at 5pm but I feel like closing at 8 would be perfect. Overall, I recommend this place 100%, I definitely will be coming back.

This place was packed on a Wednesday! It shows how good the food is. The pho broth was really good and flavorful. They packed it with a lot of meat.

A hidden gem. The pho was phenomenal , full of flavor! Went on a Sunday in the morning waited 15 minutes. Small home like place. The appetizers we ordered were the spring rolls and the pork fried rolls. Super yummy! So we're the sauces! The one thing we didn't like were the baby shrimps in the Combo fried rice but the chicken and pork. We're just not a fan of the baby ones. Over all rich in authenticity!

Ask the Community - PHO 43

Is the Pho noodles fresh or dry/reboiled?

Ive seen that they keep bags of pho noodles in the refrigerator. The noodles changed a few times since 2020-2022. This was completely a supplier issue as other pho places had same issue.. They are back to their normal noodles. I hope this helps.

Can I order on line?

No but you can place an order over the phone and pick up at their restaurant.

Any recommendations for the pho?

The Steak Pho is delicious. They have several different Phos and I've never tasted a bad one. All fresh ingredients.

Do they have Banh Mi? I don't see any pictures of any.

Hey Matt not sure if you been to this PHO 43 but they don't serve banh mi. But Rob don't you worry their pho will make you forget what banh mi is anyways and they have a bunch of awesome dish rice dishes

Do they have vegetarian pho or no?

The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

But somehow I had saved this one to my map so I came here with a couple friends for dinner last week. I wasn't super hungry, so I just ordered spring rolls, crispy chicken dumplings and a "dragon egg" boba tea "smoothie." Though it was on their menu under "Smoothies" it was not a smoothie at all. It was an icee. That said, it was still delicious and I loved the fresh and fruity boba balls. The flavor was more lychee than strawberry, but I didn't mind. My friends got an appetizer plate and 5-spice chicken. Both enjoyed their food very much. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, but does have sit-down service. Very chill vibes, and prices were fair. The place was clean, staff was attentive, and the peanut sauce that came with my spring rolls wasn't spicy, which I appreciated! The ambience is super comfortable, easy, casual. But, it's *super* loud, like really, really loud. The 4 of us had to literally scream, top of our lungs, to hear each other, and these aren't big tables, it's tight in there, so you're very close together. We left with sore throats from yelling. It felt like "a relief" when we stepped out front. After 2 hours sitting in the wooden seats, my butt was also relieved to be getting up. Parking is ridiculous, it's a very thin one way driveway with *no way to turn around* when you reach the end - back it up! Super tiny parking lot. Food: the food was very good. We ordered 6-8 things for the 4 of us because all items are pretty small. Top section of the menu are called smaller items. They were. Items on the bottom section are bigger, but not big. For perspective, when the 4 of us split an item from the bottom "entree section" we each got 2-3 bites/forks-full. So a full entree for one person is 8-12 bites. All items tasted very good, clearly high quality, well curated and definitely unique to this restaurant. The steamed white rice was hot, steamy, moist and sticky, really good. The Panang Chicken was really good, different, creamy, dark, rich and smokey. I added pictures of the menu, inside, patio, bar and a few food items so you can see for yourself. Would I go back? I would because the service was great, visual atmosphere was comfortable, and food was high quality, but turning the music volume down at least 1/2 way from what we had would go a long way,... a looooong way, seriously. Increasing the portion size of menu entrees would also be an improvement since they're about the same price as larger portions elsewhere. And throw some cushions on those inside wooden benches, our butts will thank you. Overall this was a good first visit and I'd try Glai Baan again, hoping for the same great service, quality food and updates to the other items.

I really wanted to like this spot, especially as a fan of a well-balanced bánh mì. The sandwich was generous and good value, loaded with meat, but the execution didn't quite come together. The vegetables were tucked toward the back of the bun, making it hard to enjoy that classic balance in each bite. The mayo was far too heavy and the meat leaned overly sweet, which threw off the overall flavor. It also could have used more jalapeños and cilantro to bring some freshness and contrast. The bread was crispy, which was nice, but it was much larger in size and shape than a traditional baguette, leaning more toward a big roll than that light, airy texture you'd expect. Overall, good value but missed the mark on balance and authenticity for me. Saluti.
