    Bbq pork Banh mi

My friend raves about this place for their Banh mi so we decided to come here! I love that they have so many options to choose from. I got the bbq pork Banh mi and the pork belly bao. They were both very good. The pork belly bao was really tender and good. I also got lychee tee and that was very refreshing. The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance was a typical hole in the wall Vietnamese place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I needed some freshness & always love Vietnamese - gave this spot a try. Friendly service. Decent noodle salad. Loved the egg rolls

The perfect lunch! I ordered a Bánh mi sandwich with grilled pork and it was delicious! Great flavor and a big sandwich, which I saved one half for lunch the next day. I got a side order of the bao buns and they were absolutely perfect. I would order 50 if I could!! My husband got the noodle bowl with chicken and pork egg roll. He loved it and the egg roll was his favorite. This was also a generous portion and he saved some for lunch the next day too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was busy inside during lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered takeout and there was a waiting area with a bench, but there were tables inside to dine in. Service was great, kind staff and took about 10 minutes to get my food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looked clean and a nice place to sit down for a quick bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved everything we got and I can't wait to come back!

This is the second time coming here I forgot how much I love it!! I brought my gf for a quick lunch . I got the bbq pork Banh Mi with a strawberry ice tea and she got the chicken noddle bowl . And a Taro milk tea Both were sooo tasty. What I thought was a little different about the noddle bowl was noddles seemed to be a little thicker than the normal vermicelli noddles used for this dish. But it was great either way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is tucked in a small strip mall. Definitely worth a try![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly and you get your food quick!

Great and quick Vietnamese fast food! We come to this place often on weekends since it's quick and delicious. Can never make it on weekdays since they close so early. The pork baos are delicious as our the salad bowls. The egg rolls are also great. The sandwiches I've tried in the past are ok, just taste rather boring. We would go way more often if it was open later

3.5 stars. My husband got the shaken beef bahn mi and it was good! The meat was a little too chewy but overall we enjoyed this sandwich. It had great flavors and was juicy. The chicken bahn mi however is very dry. The meat itself is overcooked and dry, and there's hardly any sauce to help it. The Vietnamese coffee was okay. We've order Vietnamese coffee also and this one is average. We do appreciate how large the sandwiches are! And they do give a generous amount of meat it them.

This is a solid spot to grab a Bánh mi. I was randomly in az and was in desperate need of some Vietnamese cuisine so I found this place on yelp. I ended up deciding on the barbecue pork sandwich and got It with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both items were great and I would absolutely go again if I end up back in Phoenix. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The veggies were fresh and full of flavor. And the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. It was really a great quick lunch.

    1. Classic Banh MI - HUGE!!!
    Diem P.

I ordered the #1 Classic. The banh mi was loaded with meat and pickled carrots & daikon. The pork skin was too chewy and hard to bite...perhaps, if the pork was sliced more thinly? But at $8 for a foot long..it's a great deal.

Welp- looks like this once gem of a business has changed hands. The former owner is gone and the food has gone down hill. The meat for the sandwiches and noodle bowls were reheated and barely warm. Nope. Unfortunately not coming back.

Most of the lower set tables were taken so the rez came in handy. Ample bar seating available however. Greeted right away by server and offered drink menus. Both the drinks were phenomenal. I originally wanted the Asahi but they were out of it so they gave me a Japanese Lager from Los Angeles (?), blanking on the name. The Caipirinia was the other drink which was made authentically as well. No complaints on the bartender. Food was 3 Bao Buns and a Chow Mein entree with grilled chicken added on top. This was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The Bao Buns were extremely soft and light on the breading. If you get them from Din Tai Fung they tend to be dough heavy. These were NOT like that. Chicken and Eggplant buns were tasty and had a light kick to them. Noodles were probably the weakest items, I prefer the rice/flat noodles, but these were normal chow mein noodles. But I had to split the dish with my dining companion who enjoyed the noodles quite a bit. I'd go with Udon or Flat Noodles next time and ask them to add chili flakes. No room for dessert but it sounded delicious, something with bananas. Mhmmm!

There were still about 4 groups still in the restaurant, but was mainly open. I could see this place getting busy during the weekends though, so recommend a res if you're here during peak hours. We started with cold sake and a couple of cocktails. Super cute and yummy drinks, creative and complimented the overall theme. The Asahi beer was huge and came with an ice cold glass, perfect! We got the orange chicken and drunken noodles with added chicken breast. The food was fresh and tasty. I liked that the orange chicken came with rice, and was not overly breaded. The drunken noodles were pretty salty but overall good. These two entrees were enough for two people to take a little bit of leftovers home. Recommend for a nice date night or if looking for some Asian fusion. We'll be back!

Stand out items to order: the corn appetizer, the yellowtail carpaccio, or the salmon carpaccio, and sashimi on the menu. We have tried almost every appetizer and all of them are good. We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.
