My brother saw their Facebook page and thought we should have lunch at their deli in Phoenix. We brought our friend along and made it a threesome. My brother and I had the Robert's Special (Roast Beef, Pastrami, Provolone Cheese, Tomato, Mayo & Onion, Served Hot). My friend had the George's Special (Ham, Capicolla, Salami, Mortadella, Pepperoni, Provolone, and Hot Peppers or Sweet Peppers). The consensus was unanimous. The bread is great. The meat was too! To finish off our meal we all had a Cannoli. Magnifico. The crunchy shell was dusted with powdered sugar and the filling was sweet and creamy. There is an array of Sandwiches, entrees, soups , and specials. Same for the bakery. A sweet list of cakes, cookies etc. Parking can be a problem. Not enough spaces to park. I suggest you have your lunch earlier than noon. Tables will be full at that time. Looking forward to trying something different on my next visit.

Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! The meatballs are still hot, the sauce is holding place & the bread is still bread, not some soggy remnant of dough! Thank you for the pride, quality & tasty sandwich.

The aisles are pretty tight but if you ask the employers they are more than willing to help out! The entrance of the store is accessible and it's easy to move around.

I'm used to a pickle with that crisp, juicy snap and strong briny flavor, and these were softer and didn't have much of that traditional pickled taste. The fries were also cut very thick, which may be their particular style, but they weren't my favorite. As far as service, my server was meh, At one point I had to get coffee refills from other servers because my server seemed to disappear at times and didn't quite check up on me. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely took away from the overall experience. I will say, I know I may have a higher bar than most when it comes to pastrami. I grew up in LA eating at places like Langer's, Canter's, and Nate 'n Al's, so I'm used to pastrami that has a really distinctive, peppery, savory flavor and those crunchy deli pickles. I'm glad I tried Scott's, and I can understand why people enjoy it. Overall, Scott's did satisfy the craving for pastrami, so in that sense it scratched the itch. If you're in Glendale and looking for a great sandwich, stop here. The second I walked in, I was greeted by a gentleman with a turquoise streak in his hair (I'm guessing owner or manager) and a friendly staff that made me feel welcome right away. I ordered the Gin Blossom and another sandwich that had pastrami, salami, another meat, fresh vegetables, and their psycho sauce on sourdough. I can't remember the name of that one, but I did get to sample the psycho sauce, and it was fantastic--bold, flavorful, and definitely something I'd recommend trying. As for the Gin Blossom, wow. Turkey, cranberry, vegetables, and sourdough--and somehow it tasted like Thanksgiving in the best possible way. The turkey had that savory, slightly salty flavor, and the cranberry balanced it out perfectly without being overly sweet. Every bite just worked. I ordered the half sandwich, and it was exactly the right amount of food for lunch. What really surprised me was how fast everything came out. The young folks making the sandwiches were hustling. I figured I'd have time to sit down, scroll through my phone, and relax for a bit, but I was barely settled before my order was ready. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out was maybe five minutes. Fast service without sacrificing quality is always a win. The atmosphere is cozy, quirky, and modern without trying too hard. It's clean, welcoming, and has that neighborhood sandwich shop feel that makes you want to come back. Between the friendly service, the delicious food, the speed of the staff, and the overall vibe of the place, this spot gets two thumbs up and five stars from me. Again, our past experiences have been positive and so we will not let one bad evening stop us from returning.
