We had Chef Miranda come to our STR and prepare a favorite meal for my husbands 60th, for a party of 20. Leading up to the big night, Chef Miranda, was incredibly helpful in securing a bartender, Brittany that we loved, and recommending a party rental company that I enjoyed working with. He carried about the details, and to tailor them to my husbands like, to make the evening special. Dinner was amazing- loved his appetizer choices, the steak and sides were perfect, fresh focaccia, and special bday cake were all raved about. Professional, excellent catering skills, and ease in working with make him easily a 5 out of 5. read more

Copper State Kitchen performed outstanding in bringing the Chef to our home for our 40th Anniversary. My wife and I love to cook and have prepared some outstanding meals at home over our 40 years together. We have extensively traveled and lived throughout the world and as such developed pallets for superb cuisine from all over. As we grew older we gleaned the best of what we enjoy and developed them into our own cooking skills. My wife being Korean born refined her cooking skills in the eastern cuisine like Korean, Japanese, Thailand, and others while I have refined my skills with French and Italian. Prescott is a beautiful place to live but its culinary basis is built on sawdust. We usually cook for ourselves if we want a top notch meal. Now the past several years I have been confined to a wheelchair and transport is very limited. We used to spend winters in Hawaii where we could get great quality meals and seafood whether we prepared them or went out. So our 40th! I wanted to do something special for my wife since I have not been living up to my end of our culinary relationship being confined to a wheelchair. Thus I started seeking out a Chef that would come to our home with his staff and prepare a custom made meal for us. I selected Chef Thomas and Copper State Kitchen. I started by a rather lengthy discussion via phone and followed up with sending Chef Thomas some of our favorite recipes, sufficient for him to develop a five-course meal for us. Chef Thomas is very professional and easy to work with. We refined the meal over the next two days we agreed on the following proposed menu; I supplied the wines. Amuse-Bouche * Fig Jam, Blue Cheese, Red Wine Poached Pear & Arugula Crostini Starter * Prime Rib Poke with sesame crunch and microgreens and pipkuala aioli (based on my deconstruction of the infamous Tiki Bar in Waikiki dish) Pasta Course * Lobster Tagliatelle in a Champagne Cream Sauce Main Course * Beef Wellington with foie gras and red wine demi-glace Dessert * Crème Brûlée (torched table-side) Wine Pairings * Santa Margarita Prosecco DOCG * Domaine Salmon Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc * Tenuta de Sesta Brunello di Montalcino 1996 * Chateau Rieussec 1st Grand Cru Classe 1863 Sauternes 2004 Every course was perfect and very enjoyable. And they cleaned the kitchen meeting my wife's expectations. I highly recommend Copper State Kitchen for your personal culinary experience to celebrate your special occasions. read more

What a great experience I had last night with TJ and his catering skills. He put on an outstanding spread for me and 60 of my friends for a holiday gathering in my home. The food was outstanding and presentation was simply elegant. Everything was just perfect! Thanks to TJ and his crew. read more

Went to an event today and was pleasantly surprised to have such yummy tastings catered by Chef TJ. He was so friendly and personable and even showed me the inside of his food truck! Now let me talk about his food! Short rib and polenta cakes- red wine braised short ribs on a pan seared polenta cake- oh my these were so flavorful and tender and the polenta cake consistency was just perfect. I kept going back for these. Grilled chicken teriyaki skewers- marinated perfectly with just the right amount of sweetness. Most chicken teriyaki is too sweet for me but these were done right! Bruschetta bar had all the fixings- tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, burrata cheese, roasted garlic (this was my fave), blistered tomatoes, strawberry, fig goat cheese and pepper jam. Really loved all the food and the chef! Highly recommend if you need catering for any events. read more

Copper State Kitchen catered our wedding brunch the day after our son's wedding. They did a fantastic job! I heard repeatedly from my son, his wife, and guests that they loved the taste and presentation of the food. Chef Thomas and his crew were on time, very professional, and willing to work with guests dietary needs. I was able to enjoy my time with the guests without a care about the food. Thomas took care of everything. When they finished, they cleaned up and left the kitchen spotless. I would highly recommend them and if I have another event, plan to call them to cater it. read more

AMAZING FOOD! Chef Thomas was hired for my sister's bachelorette party and he did not disappoint! I'm picky with my shrimp, but it was so tender and juicy! Horchata was refreshing and not overwhelming. The chicken was so moist and flavorful! He is also extremely friendly and great company. He took out the trash, put the food away in ziplock bags for us and cleaned up the kitchen. I would hire him in a heartbeat! Absolutely no complaints! read more

This review is for Chef Thomas Miranda and his team. On April 20, 2024 we were fortunate to be able to book Chef Thomas for a rather large wedding in Prescott Arizona. Chef Thomas made the entire experience a dream. He answers questions promptly, and listens to budget and preferences. The day of the wedding Chef Thomas and his team showed up on time and prepared an amazing buffet. Not only was it a beautiful display, all the items were delicious!!!! The wedding party was almost an hour late (doing pictures) for the dinner. Chef Thomas was not only gracious about the wait, but kept the food warm and fresh. I would highly recommend him for your next event. You won't be sorry! Trudy Gruver Prescott AZ read more

I highly recommend this business. His food was impeccable and delicious and his service was great.

If i could give no stars, I would. Very unprofessional. Came a half hour late-which pushed my entertainment for the evening back a half hour. Did not set up quickly or offer service as promised. Helper and chef stood back and watched the line grow in between looking at their phones. Was promised vegetarian and gluten free options for a $3000 order. Had only slivers of palenta mush as the "option" for the vegetarians. We were promised guacamole-for the vegatarians and received cheese and nacho chips??? We were also promised gluten free bread for the bruschetta bar and the brownies- of which there were NONE. We were promised 90 entrees and desserts, and the desserts were gone within 5 minutes and many people complained they did not get them. When asked for a refund, Thomas Miranda kept saying he would "respond today" and a week later, has yet to respond. Don't call this guy. He is unprofessional and does not deliver what his soft spoken voice promises. Be careful who you give your money to. read more

We hired Copper State Kitchen for a 500 person brunch event and we were super happy with everything Chef Thomas did. He created a full brunch menu and the adjusted accordingly based off of my requests. He was even able to accommodate last minute requests, changes, and ideas. On event day, everyone was also very happy with the quality of the food. We did run into a set up bottleneck shortly into the event, however Chef Thomas was able to adjust quickly to mitigate the bottleneck. Chef Thomas was super easy to work with! He always responded quickly and was available through email and text. He came fully prepared for more than 500 to ensure we didn't run out of food. Overall, Copper State was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend them for any of your catering needs! read more

I hosted a 70th birthday party on my patio for my husband and was fortunate enough to find Copper State Kitchen and Chef Thomas and Ray to organize my party! From first contact to the finish of my event, Chef Thomas was helpful and easy to communicate with. He set up, decorated a beautiful buffet table and prepared an AMAZING Mexican Fiesta for my family and friends. We had delicious appetizers, a complete taco bar with all the fixings, and churros for desert! The best part was, I didn't lift a finger: set up, service, and cleanup was flawless. Attended an event, which was catered by Copper State Kitchen, at a church fundraiser and was told there would be vegan options. Was very disappointed in the food options for vegans. 2 small quarter size polenta bites, chips and salsa with a few cut vegetables. Guacamole was non-existent and no alternative meat options. Highly disappointed in the glutten free bread and dessert options, as they too were not provided. Organizers were very apologetic and very disappointed in the service that was provided by the vendor. Would not recommend using this caterer. read more

Five stars aren't enough to adequately indicate the amazing event Chef Thomas provided for a recent family 70th birthday celebration in Mesa. To say Chef Thomas catered a delicious meal for twelve does not do the evening justice. Everything about our experience with Chef Thomas was delightful. In addition to providing food (appetizers, family style meal & dessert) that was to die for, he was engaging and creative in ways a group ranging from 4 yrs to 70 yrs all appreciated. From first contact, every response from Chef Thomas was timely and when he left the kitchen was spotless. But, his professionalism shone brightest with the food. We were blown away by his attention to detail relative to presentation - you can see in the attached pictures, every morsel of food had his personal touch. We couldn't agree on a favorite - the bruschetta or shrimp tostada appetizers, the herbed chicken or beef short ribs, the cornucopia salad ... we all had our favorite. But there was unanimous agreement that every aspect of the meal was delicious, absolutely amazing!!! Thank you Chef Thomas for creating a 5+ star dining experience for our family celebration. read more
