We contacted this catering company with only about two weeks' notice for a celebration of life, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to choose them! As this was my first time hiring a caterer, Lori was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. She made everything so much easier and was wonderful about accommodating the many changes along the way. We ultimately ordered food for 150 people, and the amount was absolutely perfect. There was plenty for everyone without having an excessive amount left over. The food was delicious! The Italian meatballs were a hit, the stuffed mushrooms were fantastic, and the shrimp cocktail was amazing. Everything was fresh and enjoyed by our guests. While the food was wonderful, the service was truly exceptional. The staff circulated with appetizers, graciously offering them to guests without ever being intrusive or pushy. They were kind, considerate, attentive, and professional throughout the event. During an emotional and difficult time, having a caterer we could count on made such a difference. From the planning process to the food and service on the day of the event, everything exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful to Lori and her entire team and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding food and service! read more

I wanted to have our daughter's bridal shower in our backyard but I had no experience with catering. A fellow Phoenician on Threads suggested Amici and I am so glad that I followed that suggestion. Lori was truly lovely to work with and didn't make me feel ignorant about the process even though I 100% was. They came into our house stocked like the Marines ready to get it done. They prepared passed appetizers for an hour and then did a plated meal. Delicious and so elevated! LisaBeth was our main server and she made sure those with allergies were given TLC and she managed our water, ice, and wine table with precision. They were kind enough to do all of the dishes even though we had not paid for that time. I think a first time planner should know that there will be additional fees for staff and large rentals (chafing dishes, etc.). I didn't factor this in at the beginning but, of course, it totally made sense. I only wish I had a life where I had more catered events coming up as everything was so lovely and now I want to try all of the foods that I didn't have the opportunity to add to our event menu. read more

I hired Amici Catering for a work event recently. It was a Thursday evening event that I booked very last minute. I was frantic to find a caterer and at the recommendation of a friend who had used them for a corporate event, I reached out to see if they were available for my date and to get a quote. Lori responded immediately with confirmation that this date worked. What I appreciated most, was her recommendations for what to order, based on the time of day and audience. The event was a success, the wait staff was fantastic and fun personalities. The food was incredible. I will be using Amici again and cannot recommend them enough!! read more

This was my first time catering and it was for my daughter's baby shower. I could not have been luckier to hire Amici Catering. Most of our communication was via email because of my long work days. Anything could have been misunderstood but Lori is a real pro. We managed to arrange everything within two emails. Lori showed up right on time (actually a little early) and got right to work getting everything set up. We had the mac and cheese martinis - which were FABULOUS, especially with all the toppings to choose from. Highly recommend that item on the menu. The Amici menu is so diverse and the prices are really reasonable. My daughter wanted light snacks with some protein for an 11am start. The frittatas were yummy and the sausage and bacon were gone within 20 minutes of opening the lid. Everything we had was fresh, gorgeous and all of the hot plates were empty by the time our first guests left. My daughter and son-in-law were absolutely delighted. I'm so grateful. Thanks Lori & Amici! read more

I truly wish the scale went higher than 5 stars because Lori and her incredible team deserve every star in the sky! We got engaged just before the 2020 pandemic and after booking a venue one of the first vendors we booked was catering with Amici after a delicious taste testing session at their offices. Well then the pandemic happened and we had to cancel our wedding not once but twice due to the venue we had booked (which we ultimately walked away from) we decided to spend our wedding budget on a home instead and I don't regret that choice but it did mean waiting several years before we saved up enough for the wedding of our dreams again! Cue 2024 we booked with a new venue who included catering in our package so we went for a taste test with their preferred caterer and it was...disgusting. So feeling defeated that we were going to have awful food at our wedding we gave up hope, until we remembered we had paid a deposit with Amici Catering! We decided to call and give it a shot though we expected to be laughed off the phone for even requesting such a thing, instead we were greeted with the warm sweet voice of the owner Lori who after we explained our dilemma met us with an "Oh my gosh is this Sarah??" she knew exactly who we were and let us know that they had thought of us and hoped everything had turned out after we cancelled the second time. We had the most heartfelt conversation with her where her excitement for us was so genuine and so heartwarming she could have said she needed $50,000 and I think I would have sold my kidney to make it happen because the wedding industry can be so cold and lacking in excitement on what is a big day for you and your fiance but here was Lori more excited for us than maybe some of our own family even was! She offered us an incredible deal with the costs that have gone up and we booked it immediately! I am so so proud to say that Amici Catering catered my wedding on 02/28/25 and it is by far the most talked about thing from our wedding, the food was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! It is to this day the best fettuccini alfredo we've ever had! I grew up in an Italian household and rule #1 is you never say anyone's pasta is better than grandmas, but even my grandmother came up to me and asked what they did to make it so delicious! When we went to the bridal suite to sign the paperwork and bustle my dress for the first dance Lori had put a plate of the appetizers in there for us to enjoy since most couple's miss cocktail hour, the bruschetta is the bruschetta of my dreams and I wish I could have more now as I write about it, it's soo good and their pesto is perfection itself! Where we stood before being called in to the grand entrance to the reception was back where the catering setup was and as we stood there waiting to be announced as husband and wife Lori came around the table to us and she held my hands as I stood there in my wedding dress and we tearfully exchanged one of the sweetest moments I've ever felt where she was so happy for us and we were so grateful to her. Working with Amici Catering is not just choosing food for your wedding, it is gaining a cheering squad for your big day, it is feeling seen and thought about every step of the way, Lori makes sure you actually EAT on your wedding day because trust me you need it! Picking Amici Catering was the best decision we made for our wedding and if I ever have another event that requires catering I will without question be calling Amici back in! Lori we love you so much! Thank you for absolutely everything!! We will truly remember you forever!!!! read more

Lori and Amici Catering were fabulous! We celebrated my husband's big birthday in our home with 60 people. First, Lori nailed the menu: Asian and gluten-free for the birthday boy. She made sure the food was fun, delicious and interesting. The attention to detail was noticed by everyone: personalized fortune cookies dipped in gold and chocolate, lettuce wraps clipped with a very tiny clothes pin, stir fries and Pad Thai in take out boxes - amazing. I loved working with Lori. She's creative yet organized, a problem solver and makes things happen. We forgot olives for martinis and someone was sent to the store. The flow and timing were perfect. She knows how to throw an amazing party and her staff were unobtrusive, yet friendly and hardworking. Amici is a very professional organization and I very highly recommend them. Thank you, Amici and thank you, Lori. read more

We used Lori, Scott and their amazing staff for a celebration of life for my nephew. It was a very difficult time for our family but they had a vision that was absolutely stunning and the food was amazing! They were so respectful and kind and even helped hand out programs and made sure guests had water at the service. They went so far beyond the call of duty we will use them every opportunity we get. I would highly recommend them. Will look forward to a happier occasion in the future!! Thank you to you all for taking care of my sister!! read more

Choosing Amici catering for my wedding was the best decision I could have made for our food needs!! Lori is so easy to work with, organized and thorough. She makes sure that all the details are perfect for the event! She is incredibly professional and her staff were wonderful! They helped to make sure that our appetizers and dinner were not only delicious but perfectly timed and ran smoothly. The steak and chicken plus all of the sides were very tasty and our guests were also very impressed with the food. She also is very mindful to dietary restrictions when preparing her meals. We loved working with Lori and her team and would recommend them to anyone looking for an event in area!! read more

I use Amici Catering for work functions, they never disappoint! Either Lori, Scott or the chef will bring the food and set up. On the ride up the elevator one day, I was chit chatting with them and discovered that they used to own Tuchetti's! I freaking loved Tuchetti's and I never understood why they closed. Seriously, when I worked in the Biltmore area I remember going there for lunch at like 11:00 a.m. because I couldn't wait! Anyway, their catering services are awesome. They do a great job in setting up, believe it or not some caterers just drop off the food and ask you to sign the invoice, but not them. They are always well prepared and put on a nice presentation of their food. I cannot say enough good things about how delicious their food is, from breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer breakfast croissant sandwiches with either egg ham and cheese OR egg mushroom and spinach, I've never had a better breakfast sandwich in my life. The desserts are also amazing. There's one called... the name escapes me but anyway, it's do die for -- individual cakes with chocolate gooeyness inside served with a side of whip cream, but nothing like cool whip, its the most delicious whip cream I've ever tasted, it shouldn't even be called whip cream anymore. The rest of the food they make is just as good. They really go out of their way to deliver top quality and I appreciate them! I just wish they still had Tuchetti's so that I can get a fix in between work functions. read more

I spoke with both Lori and the owner of the bartending company. Both were extremely apologetic about the mix-up with the timing and that speaks volumes about the integrity of both businesses. If the bartender leaving an hour earlier than expected was the worst thing that happened before, during, and after this party, I'd say we did alright. ;) Many thanks (again) to Amici for awesome food and fabulous customer service. read more

Lori and her staff at Amici's were wonderful to work with. We had people who had special dietary needs and Lori was so accommodating . The food was amazing at our wedding and everyone was raving about it and two of our wedding guests are chefs for a living. Thank you for making our wedding dinner a memorable one! Dear Lori, I attended a conference in Phoenix AZ Feb 27-March 2, 2018. I was at first pleasantly surprised, and then continually delighted by the quality of the food provided for breakfast and lunch. It is not only delicious, it's a lovely change from my 30+ years of "conference food" that always include cheap dishes easily made in bulk. Heavy pasta with cream for lunch, overdone meats and limp vegetables are what I'm used to. Delicious foods that include salads with pepitas, quinoa and scratch-made salad dressings have been a delightful and progressive change. Along with a hat's off to your chefs, I cannot underscore the importance of our servers. Kirk was lovely, friendly and pleasant on the day she served us. Every other day we had Holly, who has exceeded every expectation I had for personal attention, courtesy, attention to detail, efficiency and exceptional service. I cannot thank you enough for providing us a remarkable experience during our time here. I hope you have an employee recognition program, and will recognize and reward the chefs, Kirk, and especially Holly for their remarkable dedication to their profession. It made a significant and noteworthy contribution to the quality of my conference experience. Sincerely, Dr. Barbara Roe Beck read more

Our family is going through the worst tragedy imaginable. Our beautiful son passed away. My husband and I wanted to plan a celebration of life party for him. We knew what we wanted but couldn't get it together enough to make it happen, so we decided to hire an event planner. After we initially spoke to Lori we knew she was our girl! Lori and her talented chef husband Scott were there to answer any questions we had. We put a lot of faith in their hands and they came through! Above and beyond! The day of the party Lori and her amazing crew showed up 2 hours early to set up and they meant business! When I went outside to see how everything looked, I was shocked!! It was WAY beyond our expectations! Everything was perfect! The decor! The ambiance! The food! The flowers! The crew! Everyone is still talking about how lucky we are to have found Lori! And raving about Scott's delicious food! Thank you Lori and Scott for bringing sunshine on a cloudy day! read more

Lori and her team did a fantastic job Catering a celebration of life for my husband in January in N. Scottsdale. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Working with her from start to finish was very smooth and they were very thorough, having the answers to my questions before I even asked them. All of our guests commented on how top-notch it was! read more

I contacted AMICI Catering and worked with an employee by the name of Lori. I had a negative experience with her attitude and condescending manner. I did not feel we would have a good working relationship because she became very impatient with me during our interactions. She was very knowledgeable about her industry, but unfortunately lacked any empathy or compassion for a bride who does not. I would not recommend this company. I can't comment on food because I didn't taste it. read more

One word about their food.... DELISH!! The timely response from the Owner, Lori, made it even more of a priceless experience. Would definitely book her company again for our next Corporate event. read more

From the first meeting to our final event Amici was AMAZING! Menu planning and organizing was so easy, Lori was so prepared, organized and a pleasure to work with. The food, what can I say about the food, our yummy meal from appetizers to dessert was perfect. Our guests are still talking about it. The staff was also on point, they really provided a seamless event. From setting up to cleaning up they did EVERYTHING! I can't wait to plan my next event and include Amici. read more

I am so happy I found Amici Catering through Yelp! I recently used their catering services for a corporate breakfast in December 2014. From the start, Lori was so easy to work with and very accommodating. This was my first corporate catering event and she really helped me and provided some great advice! The event was for 50 people. I chose an assortment of croissant sandwiches, breakfast burritos, potatoes, and fresh fruit salad. The food was delicious! Everyone loved it!! The delivery and set up was quick and easy and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I will definitely use their services again for any future catering needs. read more

There is a reason Amici has a near-perfect rating on here. Lori and Scott are wonderful. After submitting an online request for an event I needed to have catered, Lori contacted me within the hour asking when a convenient time to talk. I explained my needs and sent over a little write-up of a menu and a budget, and she took it from there. Lori and Scott offered suggestions and worked amazingly with my budget for a group of clients I had in Phoenix. Even through the holidays, they kept in contact with me, responding promptly to any questions or concerns I sent their way. Sometimes when I use a caterer in different states, I become skeptical as I have been put in some pretty sticky situations the day my food should be delivered, but I had confidence and felt trusting with Amici from the start. I appreciated that they stayed in close communication at all times, not hesitating or assuming when they had a question about how I wanted/needed things done. Their suggestions were open-ended and I didn't ever feel pressured to alter my plan or make last minute decisions. Not to mention I hear their food was amazing. My main concern is that my client is taken care of and well-fed. Amici's main concern was that my client was taken care of and well-fed, and they did exactly that. I can't thank Amici enough for making this event such a breeze. HIGHLY recommended. Thank you Lori and Scott!! read more

Ok I hardly ever review but I wanted to take the time to tell you busy people out there how nice it is to hire a company who is professional and knowledgeable. The food was great .. I was really skeptical on the goat cheese fig quesadilla (weird I know) it was great. The sauces are amazing. You may not know this but they had a Phoenix restaurant for years then closed it and went into catering. What I loved most, Lori's input :) she really jumps in to give her opinion so you can balance everything out. Strong company husband and wife with great personalities and a strong work ethic. Thank you for a lovely party Cyndee read more

Lori and her team are AMAZING! I called her last minute and she was just as kind and helpful as if I had given her months in advance to prepare :) Our event was high level and her team was nothing short of professional. I was really impressed to notice that they went above and beyond...for example, Marissa noticed that the desserts were going untouched so she plated some up and offered them around the room on a tray. They each helped me rearrange and put back the office furniture. The kitchen was left cleaner than when they arrived! THANK YOU so much for making my life easier and for putting on a fantastic event. I even have them booked for my next event :) Sincerely, an event planner for a law firm. read more

Coming in from CA, I chose Amici based on your excellent Yelp reviews and was thrilled that they were spot on! I used Amici's catering for our daughter's Celebration of Life event; the staff at Amici's made a very difficult time much easier for us. They were extremely helpful from the minute I called Lori, who helped me pick out a beautiful menu while keeping mindful of the cost. She was very experienced and gave me helpful recommendations, even told me when I was ordering too much food; she was very insightful and kind. The servers Scott and Holly delivered and set up the food, served and cleaned up; they were very professional and respectful. Actually, they were more than that; they were very attuned to our event and were compassionate as well as flexible and accommodating. The food was amazing; everyone loved it, from the stuffed mushrooms, homemade meatballs, salad, lasagna, chicken piccata, chicken parm to the tiramisu. Everything was the perfect temperature. The staff took care of everything so seamlessly that I felt that we didn't have to think about anything but honoring our daughter. If I could give Amici's more than five stars, I would. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to my friends. read more

After speaking to several caterers and personal chefs, it was obvious during the first telephone conversation that Lori and her crew were heads and shoulders above the rest. Lori listened and quickly came back with a suggested menu themed around my husband's Polynesian 70th Birthday Party. I only did minor tweaking.....thrilled that she had listened and creatively altered some of the dishes toward that theme. She and her crew arrived promptly and set up discreetly during cocktail hour. The food was ready for our guests at the time we had requested. Now for the best part: everybody LOVED the food! As one guest put it, 'This food is amazing! I've never been to a party where so many people are gushing about the food!' Well said. This is a group that we will definitely use again. read more

*I work for a luxury hospitality company and have experience in Event Planning, so I know the dedication and attention to detail that is required for these type of events. Lori and her team recently catered my Grandfather's Celebration of Life at St. Francis for 200 guests. I submitted an online request around 7:30am and received an almost immediate response. I submitted several other similar requests to other caterers and some took days to respond. Lori seemed to understand our requests right from the start: we wanted food that allowed us and our guests to a) socialize and move about the room (i.e. no utensils required) and b) eat as little or as much as they'd like. Her initial proposal hit the nail on the head (again, other companies I had to counsel in to getting this right). Everything about Lori just "felt right" so I selected Amici for the service - so glad I did. The food was delicious and well above what I had envisioned for a catered event. Chicken salad tartines are amazing - I wish I could make them for myself at home. Above and beyond the food, was the service. The hall at St. Francis was a tad tight for 200 guests and the buffet lines but they made it work. In my planning phase I questioned if we really needed 4 servers - and yes, they were all hustling to make sure the buffet was refreshed and presentable at all times. Lori had to leave for another event but left us with Holly (I believe was her name) and she was just as fantastic. We had 4 kids under the age of 3 in attendance and when one got loose and headed for the lemonade pitcher, Holly jumped right in and prevented a disaster. At the end of the event they packed up all of the left-over food and loaded it in ours cars. The entire process was flawless beginning to end and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or hire them again for future events. read more

Lori, Chef Miguel and the Amici team set the bar not only with their amazing food, but also incredible customer service! We recently had Amici cater an intimate dinner for my mom's 60th birthday and Amici delivered every step of the way. From designing and ordering the menu with Lori, to delivery and set up with Chef Miguel, and then follow up after our event to make sure it went off without a hitch - Amici really took care of us and made us feel like our event was a priority. In addition to this wonderful customer service, the food was out of this world! Our guests raved about how delicious it was all night and many asked to take a doggy bag home with them! It was awesome to see our guests enjoy the food so much but bittersweet to have to share our leftovers! Amici was superb on all fronts and I am looking forward to working with them again! read more

Amici catered my mom and now stepdads wedding in May at their home in Scottsdale, and I can't say enough good things about their staff, the tasting, the communication up to the event, and the food the day of. Our event captain was Kirk - she was such a joy to work with and made sure that everything went flawlessly the day of their wedding. One server Holly was really on top of everything and made a huge impression on my mom and stepdad. She was always making sure they had a plate of food and a drink in their hand. They brought the perfect amount of food for our guests, and made sure everyone was taken care of. We opted for heavy passed appetizers instead of a formal sit down dinner and everything was melt in your mouth delicious. This review is LOOOONG overdue. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Lori and her team for my wedding in Chandler in October. We had to plan the wedding from out of town and were only able to meet with Lori twice before our event. Lori catered to our schedule when we were in town prior to the event and made sure she was available for a tasting and to review all our other options. She is clearly experienced in event planning and made us feel at ease with her knowledge of all the details that needed to be discussed. Lori's communication and response time was excellent and I always felt like we were on the same page. She was able to offer many suggestions and was willing to work with our budget while still providing DELICIOUS food and service. A few days before the event, Lori even came out to our venue (which was at a friend's house) to ensure we had all of our bases covered. I would certainly recommend Amici Catering to anyone, as you would be getting a talented, professional, and caring team who also delivers amazing cuisine. First of all, Lori was a pleasure to work with. My husband invited an extra 50 people to our baby shower, so we had to spring for the food, which was an added stress. Lori really helped out me at ease. She helped me decide on the menu, and work around our budget. The day of our event, Lori and her team even helped set up the yard and helped us set up our bar, and drink stations (which we had not purchased from them). The food was amazing, and we got tons of compliments. Our menu consisted of eggplant and chicken parm sliders, chopped salad in a pasta shell, pasta squares topped with mini meatballs, stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. I will definetly be using them again in the future. read more
