I hosted a gala here with 190 attendees and worked closely with Mark. He was a pleasure to work with and made everything very clear. We had some last minute adjustments regarding the timing of our event and the number of attendees and Mark was extremely accommodating with all of our last minute changes! During the day of the event Mark and his team were meticulous in helping to make sure that our event was a success and it was! The decorations and table decor were spot on. My favorite part of the venue is all the professional DJ lighting in each of the rooms. This would've cost us $$$$ for our DJ to provide, and yet it was provided with the cost of the venue. This place deserves zero stars for the horrible service and food they provided on my wedding day. The owner is a cheat and a liar and will try to rob you blind. They served us molding bread and tried to serve more plates than there were people. Hermiz told us we had 310 people. We didn't even have 260 that RSVP to the wedding. On top of that friends and family from our wedding called me during my honeymoon complaining of food poisoning, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. The worst service ever. We're do we begin. Most wedding are planned out months almost a year in advance. This awesome place and the people who work diligently there helped us prepare it in a month. We had over 140 guests last minute confirm so we needed a new spot. Mark and Hirmiz are such warm-hearted, professional, down to earth, and most importantly they're miracle workers. We chose some colors and they took some time to show us some designs. We picked a design and they went ALL OUT(pictures included) The reception, ceremony, and party was done here and they helped transition everything so smoothly. Their people were making sure our guests were served and fed and then they even picked up afterwards. They also provided a bartender along with the servers who interacted very well with our guests. The dry ice smoke is a MUST!!! No questions. When it comes to parties, weddings, or any kind of celebrations YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH AMERICAN ROYAL PALACE. Wow, per the name this venue is Palatial and exquisite indeed. It is beautiful inside with just gorgeous chandeliers and furnishings. I was a Vendor at a Bridal Expo at the American Royal Palace and was in awe when I entered and saw the sheer size and depth of the main ballroom which can hold and cater to up to 1300 guests, per the really nice owners Herman and Linda. Great location on the south west corner of 19th Ave and Thunderbird with easy access to the I 17( less than a mile west) & a massive parking lot. I now have a great spot for future get togethers, parties and seminars. read more

The staff is very unprofessional, whenever you call and IF someone answers you speak to a new person having to repeat yourself a million times. They are rude and I wouldn't recommend anyone doing business here. They're are way better venues in the Phoenix area I will never have an event here. read more

This is a meeting/banquet hall. It looks like a bowling alley when you drive up to it but when you walk inside the decor is splendid.It looks like a very nice hotel lobby as soon as you step in the door. The hall is decorated beautifully. Their pictures on their website are very true to what the hall looks like for the event. Hirmiz and Linda are great to work with. The food was very nice, they let us go in twice before our event for tasting the different entrees. They made sure to provide everything they promised. We were promised endless soft drinks but did not get them. We did not notice because we were very busy with our party. When everyone left we suddenly remembered that we were supposed to have had soft drinks. When I mentioned that to Hirmiz, he said that the soft drinks were available and we should have just asked. I wish the fact that we were supposed to have asked for the sodas had been communicated to us beforehand. I would definitely hold my next big event here again. read more

What more do you need? They offer plenty of room, they offer you waiters, they offer you a bartender, and they offer you security. It was truly as simple as it could get for our wedding with a guest list of 300 people! We brought our food and set it up in their kitchen, and the waiters did the rest. We brought our alcohol and set it up in the bar, and the bartender did the rest. The band had more than enough room to setup their equipment. Not to mention they setup all the decorations for us! If I can give this place 0 stars I would The ABSOLUTE WORSTTTTT place of business! DO NOT waste your time and money here! Our wedding was cancelled because of COVID before Covid we ended up paying the full amount to the owner who was more than happy taking it. Now that we had to cancel with them they ended up not only taking the cancellation fee but more! We went to have a peaceful conversation with them where My fiancé ended up walking out crying because not only manager Mark talked over her but started raising his voice and threatened to not give us any of our money back. They did NOTHING for my wedding just held the date that is all but ended up keeping more than what was necessary. Not once did they apologize for the treatment or anything . They were stating they didn't have the money to pay us back at first (yet they were holding funerals and other occasions at the venue) they don't answer their phone they are awful at calling back. I NEVER delt with Mark before it was the owner and his wife then all of a sudden they send us to him and he couldn't be more rude the father is just as awful. They DO NOT care about their customers at all whatsoever. I promise you there is WAY BETTER venues out there DO NOT waste your time or money here. Absolutely awful people! They don't look at you as people but yet just money coming in. They also told us that they used OUR money we paid them to pay for bills again NOTHING TO DO WITH MY WEDDING! read more

My fiance and I booked our wedding at this venue, paid it off in full and things went downhill from there. Covid came and we were forced to change our wedding date. With arizona becoming a hot spot and how everything was happening, unfortunately we decided to cancel our wedding, thinking about our family and guests. These people are very bad about answering phone calls or even returning calls. When we finally got ahold of them, we set up a meeting with "Mark" who we never saw or talked to. The meeting went downhill very fast. I had no issue paying the $500 cancelation fee, not only did they take that money but on top of that they took 25% of our gross amount. They could never justify taking it, I asked them numerous times to justify what they are taking that money for, when I no longer wanted their services. On top of everything they said as a business they had no money to pay me out and that they would need 2-3 months. My fiance walked out the meeting in tears and very upset, when both mark and his father started getting loud and very unprofessional. They sure as hell loved taking our money but when it came to getting our money back, they didn't have it and became very nasty and unprofessional. In the end they took the $500 plus 25% of the gross we paid, and said $1k can be used as credit if we wanted to do business with them again. THEY WILL NEVER SEE A DOLLAR OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY EVER AGAIN. With this management and leadership I dont see this place lasting long, after people start seeing their true colors. In the end I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WITH SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE LACKING INDIVIDUALS. THEY DESERVE NEGATIVE STARTS. read more

4 star location. I reserved the smallest hall on site for a graduation party. My hall had its own set of restrooms so no one had to leave the area for nature's call. The restrooms "in-hall" are a nice feature The food preparation area has a "soda fridge" like in circle k, sliding door type. Also a good feature along with sink. The people running site make as many accomodations as possible. Thank goodness I dont have anymore graduations to host but if I did. I would use them again. P.S. I planned to and brought my own food. This place was absolutely amazing! We had our wedding here in June it seems to be a family run bussiness and the family could not be more kind and courteous! Linda was there for us every step of the way. We had a couple of last minute changes and they took care of us without question. The place may not look like much on the outside but once you step through those doors it truly is a palace. Linda's son was there with us the night of the event running around with and for us. I have been to 3 events at this venue. Two of them I planned and worked with Hermez and Linda, the owners. They are awesome! From the outside it doesn't look like much but when you go inside, it is amazing! I drove past this place I don't know how many times and never considered going in there until we had to plan a wedding last minute and the location was ideal so out of desperation we went there. As soon as you walk in you will be pleasantly surprised. They can accommodate several different size events and decorate it in so many different ways. They can show you pictures of a lot of the events they have had to chose how you want it decorated and set up. If you have ideas of your own they will do that too. They do everything (Food, DJ, Wedding cake, Limo, Security) or if you want or you can bring your own food. Honestly you cannot get the food much cheaper than what they charge and theirs is plated which makes your event nicer. You bring your own alcohol which saves a lot of money. All three events turned out awesome! They have different food options and we have tried several of them to make sure the food fit the event and the people attending. They are very accommodating with changes. I would not hesitate to have another event here. Actually my sons wedding is going to be here next month. The only thing I would have changed on one of the events was the DJ. I found the best DJ that I will use for all future events (including my sons wedding and reception). His name is Parris and his number is 623-221-1278. He will give you a deal if you tell him Rhonda referred you. Him and his brother work together and will make your event a success. A DJ can make or break an event and with all of the money you pay for an event don't be cheap on the entertainment or you will be sorry. Also, let Hermez and Linda know you saw my review if this review prompts you to contact them. For the price you will have a hard time finding a better deal. This place is beautiful. But when you decide to plan an event with this place, plan to do some fighting with them and pulling out your own hair out of stress. I got married in October and I planned it at the banquet hall over a year in advance. We were working on a budget and found this place. It's gorgeous, cheap and you can bring in your own food and beverages/alcohol. So what's not to love. Well the girl mentioned that Sunday's were usually $100 cheaper. So since I was doing it on a budget I said okay. I went back a week later to book the date and talked to the main guy. Hirmiz and I mentioned to him about the $100 and he said no it's not $100 cheaper but I'll give it to you. I thought oh wow he's easy going...so I wrote him a check for $300 down deposit (which we get back). No problems with the place till we are ready to set up. So I call a week in advance to make sure nobody was booked for my room the day before my wedding so that Icould make sure I could go in and set up. And they said no. And that the room was all mine. Great!!! So the day before my wedding me and all my bridesmaids, mom, brother, cousins, and family friends.....who are from all over. (Surprise, Mesa, Laveen, Phoenix, even Canada) came to set up. And we walk in and they tell me we can't set up because there is another wedding party in the room I'm using. So I asked if they could switch me to another room. They said no because they booked all the rooms for that one party. So here is where it gets dicey. I asked why they didn't call me to let me know that way I would have planned differently. And all he could say that it was business. I get business is important, and I don't blame him for taking that party. But since the party wasn't paid for the day before, he could have called me to tell me. He did say the party was booked 5 days prior....plenty of time to call. I said i need to set up and he tells me "okay no worries I will open my doors 4 hours earlier for you tomorrow to set up." Which would normally be great.....but it's my wedding day. I don't wanna wake up earlier than I already had planned since wedding days are already long days. But I said okay....4 hours. Fine if that's the case for the inconvenience of not having the decency to at least call me, I want to upgrade to a bigger room. He said okay. Takes me in and shows me paper work. Wants me to fork over $1000 extra for the room. I said no I want the upgrade for free. He said no because of electricity and air conditioning. So this went in for about 35 minutes. Finally he says let me make a call....well a friend was standing outside the door when he walked out to "make" his call. He took his phone out of his pocket and never dialed a number but talked on it. Finally comes in and says okay we can do it for you. Everything goes fine till I go back for my deposit. I go in and he says okay here is $200 and i asked why $200 and not $300 he said because we gave you a $100 off of the deposit. I reminded him that my check I wrote him was $300 for the deposit and not $200 and that the $100 off was because of the Sunday difference. He says no that's not why...but let me make a "call" again. He walks out for 30 seconds and comes back and says okay here is $300. So again beautiful place but horrible service. My sister in law got married here and it was awful. First the tables were messed up with the wrong colors on them and then the chairs were supposed to have navy bows but instead they had maroon. We came in and started setting up early and it looked like our wedding was not even a priority. They were too busy with the bigger wedding or party next door and ours was an after thought not to mention the dj got placed in the other party and we got his assistant who didn't really do a good job. Didn't take any requests really. Also my sister in law had a video prepared that they said they'd be able to play and were never able to to the point where my sister in law said screw it. She was stressed the day of her wedding because they really didn't know how to set up even though it was communicated over and over. This place was defiantly not worth the $3500. She had fun but a lot of things went wrong and I wish she had a better reception than what had happened. read more

absolutely horrible. With a banquet of over 300 people they literally had 4 servers. The main course was served an hour late, dessert two hours late. We had to take our glasses to the water fountain by the bathrooms to refill because the servers were nowhere to be found. When serving the main course the 4 servers brought out all the steak dinners first and the chicken diners had to wait up to 30 minutes until their entrees were brought out.
