We opted for the all in package where Boojum coordinated with their preferred venders to handle about 90% of the arrangements and for a VERY reasonable price. Everyone brought their A game!! Food was delicious, music was fantastic (even with a last minute DJ swap due to an emergency), and the grounds were stunning! They did everything right. Multiple beautiful backdrops available for the big day. We chose the grand fountain but soooo many other great options. Even the little things. Everyone warned us how hard it is to eat on your wedding day but as soon as we left the ceremony area to the backstage, there was a waiter for my wife and I along with the bridal party with appetizers and drink orders. Jennifer the day of works as your wedding coordinator and she does a fantastic job! Everything was so well run and on time as well. Everyone told me this was the best venue and the best experience they ever had at a wedding and I know it wasn't just them being nice! If you're the type of person who wants to be able to say you got married at Wrigley, fine. My Fiancee and I came to this location for the first time, for the wedding of her co-worker. It is very much a hidden gem in the area. If you haven't been there, then you definitely need to pay it a visit. However, for a wedding venue, it was a bit odd. Maybe this was the fault of the coordinator? First the good things! The customer service really was great! The staff managing the bar area were super friendly and great to talk to at every visit! The food served was delicious, no complaints at all! The decor and aesthetics were wonderful for the venue and the Arizona area. The area in the main part of the venue, were the ceremony took place was lovely and shaded. There was a fountain and surrounded by lovely trees and structures. As with all venues, hosting a wedding with a cash or cash-less bar, this venue fell into the same issue. The alcohol not in bottles or cans just had to be watered down. There is no possible way our friends and myself had as many vodka mixed drinks, we are talking about over 10 or 11 at least for myself, and never even got a buzz. This seemed to be the consensus. The other issue was just the layout. The covered area / enclosed structure where the dinner took place was large and spacious. It was decorated with plants and man made areas that were lovely and it kept everyone together, socializing, and simply having fun. When that was done we were moved to an area behind the bar/sitting structure for live DJ and dance floor. This was simply counter productive to encouraging that togetherness and partying. instead it had various separate and distinct fire pits with covered areas and seating around each one. This pretty much cause the wedding party to all separate into their own clicks and neither one really interacting unless you were directly related/known to them some how. The dance floor was a raised gazebo area, which was lovely. However, from where some of the fire pits were, you had no view of who was dancing or if anyone was dancing. We had an incredible time hosting our wedding at Boojum! The venue itself is an absolutely gorgeous venue and really gave us chills when we first stepped in. Honestly, my husband said that it reminded him of Jurassic Park haha and we knew this was the one! The planning process was wonderfully smooth working with Jennifer and their selected vendors. Jennifer was very responsive and attentive to our needs and questions. We were able to plan around bringing our dog to be part of wedding as well as an instant ramen station! We even had some last minute guests that Jennifer was able to communicate to the vendors to make sure it was possible! The final meeting and rehearsal were definitely smooth and I could tell Jennifer was well versed in hosting weddings and was very organized with our info already prepared. What can we say... WOW! Boojum Tree was the wedding venue of our dreams! The venue itself is so beautiful, perfectly matching our vibe with its greenery, eclectic decorations, warm lights, stone, wood, and water features. The settings within it are so varied and fun to hang out in and explore, and many of our guests came to tell us how gorgeous it was. Moving on from looks, Boojum Tree also has fantastic package deals, which made planning for the wedding so much less stressful from out of state. To have a set of great vendors already included (bar, catering, DJ, and day-of-coordinator), as well as decorations, silverware, linens, chairs, ceremony equipment, etc etc was the best thing and really helped us be present and enjoy our wedding. Our day-of-coordinator, Jennifer, was also incredible! She took great care of us, staying organized, moving around flowers and decorations, ensuring our wedding favors were at each table, coordinating with our other vendors, helping with an emergency dress bustling, keeping us on time, and hundreds of other things that we did not see behind the scenes. She clearly works hard and is amazing at what she does. This was the perfect venue for the best day of our lives and booking with Boojum was the single best decision we made. Was there for a wedding this past Sunday. A very eclectic venue, but amazing reflecting on the event. It's a beautiful natural space with many event areas of different sizes, shapes, and themes. All were well utilized over the course of the evening. The service was exceptional and the food and drinks tasty. The servers in all capacities were friendly and engaging making the event that much more enjoyable. It easily handled about 200 guests for about 6 hours... not crowded. DO NOT SLEEP on this lil venue! We just attended a wedding here and the whole property is adorable. Outdoor venues can be tricky in the valley, but Boojum nails it. Multiple outdoor areas like a gazebo and large patio surrounding a fountain for a main ceremony or party space, and then a whole inside ballroom-sized space that's not only air conditioned but also surrounded by rainforest-like greenery with a huge waterfall. Guests could stay inside or go outside, they could be right by the dj on the dancefloor or off to the side in one of many many seating areas where you can still hear the music and see the dancing fun - but at a distance that you can have a normal conversation. All of the staff here were fun, friendly, helpful, and professional - if you want the best ask for Jennifer when you book. read more

My husband and I just got married at Boojum Tree last weekend on 3/2/24. It was absolutely amazing and beautiful, down to every last detail! The venue feels like you're in a jungle, with trees and plants everywhere! It completely wowed our guests, and several people told us it was the coolest venue and most fun wedding they'd ever been to. We loved that the venue hosts the ceremony, dinner, and dancing/reception in 3 different areas (courtyard, greenhouse, and gazebo) even though we'd only been to weddings where the dance floor is surrounded by the dinner tables. The way they do it is different but also better because no one is stuck in their seats all night and can walk around and explore. We got their biggest package that included several trusted vendors which was awesome - less searching and decision making for us! The vendors that are included were all great to work with and did everything the way we wanted. The food and cake were both great, and the DJ can also supply a slideshow, photo booth, fog machine and more to make the party awesome. All the vendors worked seamlessly together and everything flowed so well, we didn't have to worry about anything going wrong. Jennifer was the greatest coordinator, and answered all our questions promptly when we emailed her, gave great advice, and reassured us when we brought up worries and gave practical solutions. She was also amazing on the wedding day itself, making sure we had everything we needed, kept everything organized and flowing on time, and made us feel comfortable and confident. Outdoor ceremony, greenhouse for reception, and the party returned to their outdoor garden. (cigars okay!) Beautiful foliage, unique backdrops to photos, elegant, intimate setting, and fun for us and our guest. Our guest loved our wedding venue even in the 100 degree heat of the desert in September. Plenty of shade from the fully matured foliage. Jennifer was very caring, great with input, detail orientated, professional. Our package vendors were all very attentive and we sincerely thank them for their professionalism. (Heidi's Event Catering, Valley Mix Entertainment Oscar, Raise Your Glass Bartending, Harley Bonham Photography, Jet Limousine) Relaxing atmosphere. I had discovered Boojum tree years ago online and knew that one day I'd get married there! My husband and I went to an open house in may and booked our March wedding as soon as we could! We got married on Saturday and it was amazing! Jennifer was great to work with, very responsive and helpful. The property is huge and allowed for us to space out. Our favorite spot is the waterfall inside the greenhouse, but there are tons of great photo op places here! Eclectic wedding venue, made famous by the magic of television! ---------- As soon as we saw this place on an episode of "4 weddings," we were excited to come here for a friend's wedding. Interesting, eclectic place for a wedding venue -- located at the end of a dead-end street, with a gravel parking area to boot, but nevertheless it certainly had a unique charm. The central courtyard had an awesome fountain, which provided a soothing "babbling brook" background to the wedding ceremony. The bar area was uniquely decorated to look as rustic as possible (with random knickknacks such as a "siempre coca cola" sign, and a sign that warns you to "be aware of poker players and loose women." A frozen margarita machine and various well liquors round out the selection. I wasn't a big fan of the inner tree-lined courtyard - it literally smelled moldy The bathroom all the way at front of property, which meant walking outside during a torrential downpour that evening. The food was from one of three authorized caterers. Although the roast pig was tender and delicious, the chicken breast was dry (as expected), and strangely, they served potsticker shooters at the end, which tasted rather bland. Jennifer was absolutely amazing to work with-answering every question so quickly and accommodating us to stop by and practice with our golden retrievers (ring bearers) multiple times. When you set foot on the property you can feel the love that this family has put into creating this venue and each time you visit you will find something new. Came for a wedding, the venue is magnificent, an old nursery turned into event venue. The cocktail hour was very well done with food tables set up all over with different types of food, Servers meandered through the guests serving delicious appetizer, The main complaint was that the main course came out cold, everyone at our table was the same. It seemed strange, one person thought it was because the plates were cold. Another issue was that they had limited bathroom facilities which made it very hard for anyone with a handicap. read more

Boojum Tree was incredible for our wedding day. It was a venue unlike anything any of our guests had ever seen and the pictures truly don't do it justice! Boojum Tree is very unique as it has an indoor and outdoor component. It was very easy to tour the property as they have open houses every Tuesday night. At these open houses you get a tour of the grounds and some of their preferred vendors (photo, catering, etc) are available to help answer any questions. There are all inclusive packages available that make wedding planning so much easier! The vendors reach out to your individually, but are all booked within your package. Jennifer, the day of coordinator as well as the owner is very responsive via email or phone and can answer any of your questions. She was very helpful throughout the wedding planning process and day of. About a month out from the big day we had a finalization meeting where we went through the day of timeline and logistics. She was very reassuring that we were at a good spot despite me (the bride) being very stressed out. Our wedding day went so smoothly and it was the best party. We did get married on a chilly night but they have heaters and fire places all over so our guests were still very comfortable I highly recommend Boojum Tree if you're looking for a non-traditional outdoor wedding experience. read more

I felt in love with the venue at first but.... I drove from California to attend a wedding which was also my 25th birthday that very same day. I never felt so insulted in my life. The wedding had an open bar, my sister and I ordered a margarita. As a bartender myself, I watched the bartender as he was making our drinks. First, I thought it was odd that he did not add any tequila in there so I assumed the margarita was pre-made with tequila. He handed to us and said "here you go KIDS *smirk*" We walked back to our family, tried the margaritas to find out it was just a VIRGIN margarita. We came back to let another bartender know that we asked for a margarita but got a virgin margarita and that we felt insulted. She knowledge him, and he just said "ok, whatever". I was hoping for an apology but did not even get one. We ended up walking away. We did not want to cause a scene or want to ruin anyone night. To that bartender, please never to assume, please check everyone's ID before making assumption/petty comments. 1/5 stars goes to many things that went wrong that night as well. read more

Not only is the Garden something you would never in your wildest dreams imagine finding in the desert..Jennifer the General Manager and all her staff were very accommodating and professional from the time I stopped by the Open House which they host on Tuesday evenings... all the way until the conclusion of my event. I planned a large reception/celebration of life mid-pandemic(safely), to honor my sister who had passed in Dec 2020. It was the hardest event I had been tasked with planning in my life. We held the event in February 2021 and Jennifer was incredibly receptive to my needs, communicated the capacity restrictions due to the pandemic and really held my hand and guided me through the planning process. She works with vendors that are true professionals ,accommodating, and came up with custom menus within my budget that really WOW'd our guests. I LOVED Catering By Sergio, Sarah the DJ with Birkett Entertainment & Sonia with the Bar. I've worked for Starwood and Marriott for many years in event management and Boojum Tree is a top notch venue here in the Valley,honestly my particular favorite. Not only will the aesthetics of the space blow you and your guests away but you will be very well taken care of on the day of your event as well. I should also mention I was in a wedding at Boojum Tree years back, and they were just as wonderful and consistent then!! Best wedding venue I've ever been to. My sister just got married here a couple weeks ago. None of us guests really knew anything about what the Boojum Tree was, but we were all very impressed. It's a really neat collection of different trees, plants, fountains, little creeks, and totally funky decor (funky in a good way) amidst various buildings. The ceremony was outside by a large beautiful fountain. After the ceremony we hung out in the cantina area sipping drinks and eating appetizers whilst the pictures were being taken, Unfortunately it was record cold down there so we were all anxious to get inside and eat, despite the good number of propane heaters that were set up and running. The dinner was inside a greenhouse like building. It was really gorgeous and easily accommodated our smallish (25 or so) group. There were also a couple small buildings that can be used as the bridal and groom areas, so they've got you covered there. My sister didn't mention any problems with the staff or set-up (and believe me, she would!), and everything was very nice and seemed to go smoothly. I am so happy we chose this place as our venue! It is absolutely gorgeous and truly a hidden gem! This was the first venue we went to and the last! At night this place lights up and it is breath taking! Jennifer and Sari were our coordinators and the whole process from start to finish couldn't have gone smoother. I recently came to tour this venue with my fiancée during an open house night. While the venue itself is beautiful and has a unique atmosphere, I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by the management's refusal to require face coverings on property by both visitors AND employees. Our tour guide did not wear a mask from the moment she introduced herself. At the end of the tour, the manager did not seem to care about the ongoing health crisis at all while discussing pricing options. Truly disappointing, as this was one of the top venues on our short-list. Their lack of care for patrons through ignoring basic safely protocols has cost them my money, as any business with common decency pertaining to preventing the spread of COVID would do better. read more

I'll admit I'm a little sad I don't get the "First to Review" badge and that last reviewer prompted or rather reminded me that I must give this place a stellar rating. My fried got married here in November and the setting was absolutely gorgeous. Because the wedding was smaller in size, it took place in the courtyard by the fountain. We were surrounded by greenery, wood carvings and stone statues. It was very comfortable and felt completely secluded from the rest of Arizona. Who could tell that we were in the middle of a flat residential area? No one. The bridesmaid room was adorable, and now I know how I want to style my house if I ever have one. The staff was very friendly and laid back. Though I haven't been to many weddings in the Valley, this is the best venue I could possibly recommend. It isn't cheap, but they do have several pricing options - this reception was at a differnt venue to avoid the setup/breakdown and table/linens rental costs. BUYER BEWARE! Pretty place, but far better options exist, with far better service and communication. Prior to making a decision to choose this as your wedding venue (which is many peoples happiest/biggest days of their lives), during a pandemic with many restrictions, ask a thorough amount of questions to ensure that the day they are "promising" you, is able to happen exactly as you envision it. Furthermore, keep in mind the state and local restrictions as they pertain to gatherings, because if your dream wedding consists of 300 people, and the state changes and decides to limit it to 50 or 150, BOOjum Tree will not offer any ability to cancel your big day, or refund you.
