Kate did a spectacular job planning our wedding at Mountain Shadows in October. From preliminary conversations ten months before the wedding, through the day of the event, Kate went above and beyond, taking care of all details of wedding planning/coordinating. She planned and orchestrated all of the wedding events with all of our various vendors so that we could relax and fully enjoy the weekend. Kate was extremely professional to work with, quickly responding to emails and proactively managing the wedding planning process. She was extremely generous with her time, and did everything from interfacing with vendors, helping us to come up with our vision for the wedding, and putting it all together on the day of. Kate's experience was so helpful in navigating the various challenges of planning a wedding. On the day of our wedding, she was an absolute magician. She was punctual, polished, organized, and absolutely unflappable throughout the evening. If anything went wrong or there were any challenges, we were completely unaware and she handled everything with tact. Having her there allowed us to feel entirely relaxed and truly enjoy the evening worry-free. I cannot speak highly enough of Kate and Sip and Twirl's service. So we hired Signature Events to help us with our destination wedding planning. We also gave Dana our budget and four months to make it happen. She helped us through each step and recommended fantastic vendors and resources for us. It was stressful planning the wedding but we actually enjoyed the process with the fun and responsive Dana. On our wedding day, Dana did an amazing job at timing and coordinating vendors to line up all the little details. Our guests were quite impressed with how well organized and beautiful our wedding was. When a mishap happened, Dana dealt with it like a true professional and took proper steps to ensure we had the most wonderful experience with her service. We will always remember it as the perfect day and we are very thankful to have her as our wedding planner.

This review is long overdue! I SIMPLY can't say enough positive things about Alexa and Simply…read moreModern Events. We approached Alexa at the beginning of the year for our late March 2015 wedding. We needed a day of coordinator but what we got was so much more. My fiance (now husband) and I thought we had everything taken care of with the exception of the final details. We had already booked the DJ, hair & makeup, the venue, had our invitations sent out.... what more was there to do??? How little we knew.... Alexa's organization and expertise blew us away. We filled out a number of online surveys so that she could make sure that she had every last detail taken care of. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, to the order that our family members would walk down the aisle, to who we wanted photos with (and who we didn't), toast speeches, what songs we wanted played and when, EVERYTHING was addressed and on the day of our wedding, she made sure that neither one of us had to worry about a thing. She attended so many of our meetings with our venue (even though we had a coordinator at the venue) and had an answer for us every time a minor dilemma or problem surfaced. Alexa also provided a number of helpful suggestions for seating charts, cards, first dance moment, re-use of floral arrangements to save money and so much more. I could tell you about how intuitive she is or how quick she was to respond (which is probably my biggest pet peeve when working with people). Or how on my wedding day, she was invaluable and handled everything with class, ease and a level of professionalism that is rarely seen. I will only ever recommend Alexa of Simply Modern Events to friends, family, colleagues.. anyone I come across who needs a wedding planner! ALEXA, WE LOVE YOU!!!!

In the last 30 days before the wedding, Alexa stepped up to help with the final coordinating, which greatly reduced the stress on my fiancée (now wife) and I. As a result, we were able to have our dream wedding without it putting us through the wringer. Even for minor details- like when I realized that my dress had gotten wrinkled en route to our venue- Alexa had a solution. I don't know what we would've done without her! While (hopefully) I won't be needing her wedding planning services again, I definitely consider a good friend, and terrific person. I definitely recommend her and her staff to anyone thinking of tying the knot in the Valley area!

After meeting up with her, my gut feeling said she will do a good job, but no... she did an AMAZING job! Farrrr surpass my expectations. What I envisioned, she created it, made it happen, and making my wedding so beautiful and very memorable, for myself and guests. Julie is extremely professional, quick on responses, and is just a wonderful person in general! I did flowers and chair rentals with her, but her company, Simply Elegant, does more than that, offering wedding planning/ coordinating services, decorating services, and more. Bottom line is you cannot go wrong with Julie; you'll be more than pleased because Julie will try to make your dream wedding come true. I had a vision for what I wanted the florals to look like for my wedding. Before meeting with Julie, I met with at least 5 florists. I very clear in expressing my ideas. All of the florists took over two weeks send me the proposal. They quoted me by the flower--each flower costing a certain amount which always ended up being wayyyy over my budget. When they finally sent me the proposal it was nothing like I pictured. When I would ask them to revise it, they would either tell me what I was asking for couldn't be done or they wouldn't even respond to me. ALL of that changed when I met Julie. I contacted her and she responded almost immediately. She asked me to send her pictures of ideas I had. By the time of our first meeting she already understood my style and had even more suggestions for me that were beautiful! She had the proposal done the same day and worked within my budget. She doesn't stem count so I got more flowers than in any of the other proposals for much, much cheaper. She even custom made one of my centerpieces. She has such a fantastic eye and is so experienced that she made everything more beautiful then I even thought possible! But Julie is so much more than a florist! Even though she wasn't my wedding planner (I already had one by the time I met Julie) she treated me like I was one of her brides. She constantly checked on me. When I had an issue with anything for my wedding, she went out of her way to find a solution. She was with me every step of the way and she made me feel so special and truly made my wedding planning process stress free. She is the best! I am SO thankful I found Julie. I had the wedding of my dreams all thanks to her!

She was so helpful throughout the planning process. We were having a destination wedding and she was able to meet us at our venue in Sedona, and then at the rental company location to pick out all of our rentals. At both the venue and rental company, Cara jumped to action and immediately started visualizing the event, taking notes as to where everything would be set up, and providing great suggestions. I remember after we were finished at the rental company, my husband and I were driving back to Phoenix and we both felt so relieved to have Cara helping us. We realized that she had a plethora of knowledge and she made sure that we wouldn't be over-paying for anything. There were many emails and several phone conversations with Cara, and she was always ready to answer any questions that I had. I was not the least bit worried about the coordination of things for wedding day. Cara was well organized, and made sure she was well prepared and informed on our vendors, timeline, wedding party and guests of honor, music selections, decoration placement, and everything else you could imagine. She was also very good at keeping documentation of conversations, sent emails, and other pertinent information regarding the vendors. Her preparedness helped out immensely when there were a couple of snags that happened on wedding day. If the aforementioned doesn't convince you that you need to have A Day to Cherish in your wedding planning life, Cara went above and beyond even after we got married! While we were on honeymoon for 3 weeks she worked on resolving an issue we had with the transportation vendor. She emailed us progress updates, which made it easy for us to continue where she left off when we returned. I can only imagine how busy Cara must be, so for her to help us out after our wedding was absolutely amazing!
