Here's how amazing and professional Natalie Stahl is, the owner of Virginia's House; I was unable to attend a dear childhood friend's wedding, so I shipped a wreath centerpiece i made, covered in very old wine corks (took me 20 hours to make) as a gift for the bride to the Virginia House and Natalie had it displayed for my dear friend's wedding. She made sure, just before the ceremony, that my sweet friend saw it and knew it was from me. Of course, my friend got tears and it made her feel like I was there with her. I recently threw a baby shower for a friend and was thrilled with the service we received at Virginia's House. It's a wonderful location for an indoor gathering of about 30 people, and owner Natalie was incredibly helpful in helping me plan everything from centerpieces to food. The venue is set in the historic Tinker house, which gives it a charming, feminine vibe with antique touches. There was plenty of room for guests to spread out and mingle, and there was a separate area for people to grab food and for gifts. Natalie graciously started cleaning up food to take to go while we were opening gifts, and she was incredibly accommodating, as the shower ran an hour over, and we weren't kicked out. I'd highly recommend this venue for any event. The setting is beautiful, and the service makes it forever memorable. read more

Cozy, intimate, beautiful... magical! Our daughter wanted an outdoor wedding in Dec, with twinkle lights in a beautiful setting and Virginia's House did not disappoint! Every nook and cranny inside and out, is filled with antiques and because it's December, Christmas trees and holiday decor everywhere! Natalie is super knowledgeable and handles everything the day of- we couldn't ask for a better venue or wedding day coordinator. No detail was left out- and we were able to sit back and enjoy the beautiful day. Went to a wedding at this hidden gem yesterday! In old town Glendale in a obscure residential neighborhood. Once inside the white gates you find a perfect garden setting. Several patios surround the garden. It has a vintage vibe which goes with this historic house. Details are great and lighting after dark is perfect. We loved all of the small old chandeliers and couches. I am not sure if the venue provided the vendors but the food was fantastic. A taco bar with street taco size tortillas made fresh to order, a donut station, which was cool you could watch your donut being fried and custom made with glazes and toppings. If you need a smaller venue for an event this is the place. It was easy to find, parking plentiful and what I understand vey affordable. read more

We were so fortunate to find this place! My husband and I are a young military couple and being such we didn't have a ton of money to spend on a wedding. Natalie pretty much made my wedding dreams come true with our small ceremony which was beautiful and so easy to put together!! She had resources for all the vendors and all I had to do was make a few easy decisions and that was it! I will forever be grateful to her and her gorgeous home that she has made available for celebrations. She seriously makes you feel like family and will be with you throughout the entire process of planning your wedding. Like I said our ceremony was very small and simple but it was lovely. The food vendor, Amici catering was AMAZING, everyone loved their food, my uncle wanted to take home leftovers! Judy, our officiant, did a beautiful job leading the ceremony. The ONLY complaint I could possibly have had is that our cake was not what I expected. Which was disappointing because I've heard so many good things about her cake vendor, but for me it just wasn't anything I would recommend. We did three cupcake tiers and a small round cake for the bride and groom, easy enough I thought. The flavor was good but the cake itself was dry and the decorations (a bow on each cupcake) looked rushed and not all that pretty. It didn't ruin our day though by any means, everything else was perfect and we had a wonderful time celebrating with our family and close friends! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place for their wedding at an extremely affordable rate! read more

My husband and I got married here and it was WONDERFUL! The decorations were great, the catering was delicious, and of course, Natalie was FANTASTIC! She made us feel so special and even assured me a not-so-nice (aka horrible) person who was NOT invited to the wedding would not be there under her watch. She said "No one makes my breeds cry!". She took all the stress out of our special day and it was beautiful. The officiant was wonderful too and let us petsonalize our vows just how we wanted with all the hell we could ask for but all the freedom too. The only problems I had were with the cake vendor, Truffle Trolley (reviewed separately) and it was a little bit loud bc of being close to the street. Wedding video is a little hard to hear. Overall would highly recommend though. Prices were so great too and the photographer did a splendid job. read more

I went there last night for their monthly open house. Let me just say, if you are looking to get married or even hold a bridal/baby shower, this is THE place. I am just starting to plan my wedding and I was lucky enough to stumble across this place online. It's reasonably priced which is UNHEARD of in the wedding industry. We pulled up, parked on the street because I did not notice they had a lot behind them until later. Most of their preferred vendors were there. Loved the bartending service, Hey Bartender LLC. Owner, Chad was there. He is very personable without being annoying which is rare for a bartender. Met with Truffle Trolley, YUM! Their cakes and truffles are delish, will be booking them. Toured Virginia's House, it's very old circa 1913 (there's a sign out front). It's quaint, has that "old house" smell. Only a few minor blemishes on the inside, but I'm sure they'll be fixed soon. The outside is the main event anyway. Their garden is beautiful, perfect for any intimate wedding. Lots of greenery and a small gazebo. They also have a back house where they tend to serve food during events, perfectly sized and placed. Natalie, one of the coordinator's is amazing. She is very nice (not the fake sales nice) and is extremely accomodating. You can tell that she takes pride in her work and is truly there for the people. I am very excited to work one on one with her to plan my wedding. We spoke briefly last night about some rough estimates and it was definitely what I want. read more

Virginia's house is an old victorian house located in historic downtown Glendale. I attended a wedding here and I thought that the venue was very charming. The house was decorated for Christmas and I think it added a magical touch on that special day. Natalie (the coordinator) was very nice and made sure everything went smoothly. She even helped us figure out how to tie up the corset on the brides wedding dress! My friend bragged about how inexpensive the wedding was so I would definitely recommend Virgina's house for brides to be on a budget. The only downfall of having an event here is the location. It's not in the best neighborhood and while my friend was having her wedding we could here people at the Hispanic church across the street. I also caught the next door neighbor peeking through the fence! Regardless of those minor issues I will tell everyone about Virginia's house for weddings, receptions, and other special occasions. read more

I was married at Virginia's House in Oct. 2006. I lived in NM, but my in laws live in Glendale. I happened to find Virginia's House on-line while looking for venues that would allow me to use my own caterer. I cannot begin to say how happy I am that I did. Natalie loves what she does, and you can tell from the moment you meet her. She is a consummate professional. She will stand up for her bride and make sure her day is as special as it can possibly be. She made planning my wedding, especially since I was out of town, easier than I could have ever imagined. Her recommended vendors are excellent, and her willingness to help you in any way is incomparable. My husband and I had our wedding and reception at Virginia's House and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. As a full time student with two jobs and a fiancé leaving for the Air Force, I was totally overwhelmed about the wedding planning process; however, Natalie at VH was incredibly helpful from the get-go. While many vendors I encountered were pushy, non-personal, and even judgmental about our budget, Natalie was open, honest, and friendly. Upon meeting her, she had tips and tidbits to share with me along with stories to match the advice. Her experience and expertise shined through in everything she did to help with the event. Natalie and her staff made sure all of my decorations (as particular and as silly as I asked for) were fulfilled exactly as I had envisioned and, actually, even better. And even when slip-ups did occur (as they do with any wedding), Natalie made sure I was not frazzled or bothered by any little thing as the neurotic bride ;). My family and friends felt at home at VH; the garden allows for a beautiful and classy yet comfortable and fun ceremony and reception. Our mid-size wedding (75 guests) was a perfect fit for the space but a smaller or larger event would be wonderful too. We danced the night away and had an amazing time.
