We were allowed entry the night before to do some setting up. The tables and chairs were already neatly placed and the establishment was clean. The woman was accommodating to our requests and so helpful. They helped to set up the day of, serve some food, went around to guests offering refill drinks, then came back around to collect trash. This was an extremely hard day for every person in attendance and these ladies alleviated a lot of stress that would have otherwise fallen onto other members of the family who were grieving. Bravo. I highly recommend!!

They handled everything start to finish including the garden ceremony, the indoor reception, the food, decorating, everything at a very affordable price. Carmen is the woman who mostly runs it and she was fantastic, even calming me down when I was stressing about head counts. Our ceremony was in June on a Sunday afternoon and it was VERY warm out, but we made it brief and they had refreshments to keep everyone cool. The reception went off without a hitch and the food and everything was on time and many of my guests complimented it. The decorations and center prices that were handled by the venue were beautiful. Our package even included a sparkler send off and a limo home. Not that we will need their services again, but we would definitely recommend them to any couple looking for the perfect place at the right price.

The owner quoted my parents and me two different prices and charged us for a premium package that included security--yet no security was provided, despite us paying for it. 3 hours before the end of the event, the owner repeatedly turned on the lights, which caused many of our guests to leave early. We were also charged for projector screens that we were unable to use due to a lack of proper connections, and no refund was offered. Overall, the experience was horrible, and my mother's party was completely ruined.

If I could give it 0 starts I would, my sister had her wedding here in November 2024. There were…read moremany issues but here were the main issues I feel you must know. First all of all there is a complete lack of professionalism since the start when we needed to drop of payments we were told a certain time and they would show up 20-30 minutes late sometime in sleeping clothes. The day of the wedding I arrived earlier than everyone (2pm) because we had vendors setting up background and dessert tables. The dessert table was done and I was waiting on the background to be done when I saw an older man taking treats from the table. When I asked the lady we had been dealing with who he was and if they could cover the table be va use it was for our guest, she responded with oh that's my dad and laughed it off. Fast forward to party time the Dj was supposed to have been set up and start playing music by 6 pm he arrived at the reception hall at 6:00 pm started setting up and didn't start playing music by 6:20 pm. When I went to speak the Dj (he was included in the package with the venue) he was rude. He played his music list when my sister and her husband had met with him on December 13th 3 days before wedding date. They provided a list of music they wanted played during dinner time. Again went to speak with DJ to ask why he wasn't playing the music requested he responded he had not been provided with one First my sister texted him and he ignored the message and when bride came and spoke to him he responded that he didn't have internet or wifi for his laptop that is why he couldn't play it. Now moving on to security, he too arrived at 6 pm walking through main door getting dressed in front of guest. He also used up film from the Photo Booth my sister paid for from outside vendor. Something else included in the deal package was unlimited ice but later we were told it was a mistake and we needed to provide our own or pay extra. Moving on with food service and servers. First of all there were two servers who were sick that day. They were coughing and sneezing all over the food. When asked to please not allow them to serve food or wear masks they became rude. But before they even started serving the food to our guest they were all eating from the food we had paid for t her guest. When we brought this to the salon so managers attention they all became rude and hostile. Serving how ever and who ever they wanted. The dish they had picked is traditional barbacoa with beans and pasta salad. When we asked about the salsa because guest were asking they told us it was not included and needed to pay for it if we wanted it. My sister's friend provided pizzas for the guest who wanted and when guest went to ask for plates they were turned away. We had to again speak to the manager but this wasn't corrected there were over 20 boxes of full pizzas. And they did not want to serve it, we were ignored by the reception hall manager and we had to ask the band to announce that who ever wanted more food or pizza could ask for it as we had plenty left. Moving in to the bar tender. She was very nice with the ppl who were consuming alcoholic drinks as they were the ones tipping her. As the salon stated there was a 2 drinks per person limit for broths alcohol and soda. Many of the guest had brought to our attention that when asking for soda or water they were either ignored answered rudely and /or told they could only get one. When we clearly saw that they were providing others with 3-4 beers or mixed alcohol drinks. When the time was up for but the venue( mind you it was immediate family left) we were all rushe to gather our things to leave. Practically thrown out, we were told we needed to hurry or they would lock the doors up. Again this is a few things I know my sister's friend dealt with other issues. I definitely do not remember this venue.

The Bird of Paradise package turned out to be exactly what we needed, and the arrangements/DIYs we did filled our space beautifully without overwhelming it. What really impressed us was how Jennifer coordinated with our other vendors to make sure the timing and transitions went smoothly throughout the night. She was responsive to our questions and made adjustments whenever we asked, which gave us so much peace of mind leading up to the big day. We opted for the all in package where Boojum coordinated with their preferred venders to handle about 90% of the arrangements and for a VERY reasonable price. Everyone brought their A game!! Food was delicious, music was fantastic (even with a last minute DJ swap due to an emergency), and the grounds were stunning! They did everything right. Multiple beautiful backdrops available for the big day. We chose the grand fountain but soooo many other great options. Even the little things. Everyone warned us how hard it is to eat on your wedding day but as soon as we left the ceremony area to the backstage, there was a waiter for my wife and I along with the bridal party with appetizers and drink orders. Jennifer the day of works as your wedding coordinator and she does a fantastic job! Everything was so well run and on time as well. Everyone told me this was the best venue and the best experience they ever had at a wedding and I know it wasn't just them being nice! If you're the type of person who wants to be able to say you got married at Wrigley, fine. But if your focus is the best possible experience for your guests and yourselves, Boojum is by far the way to go!! These guys throw an EPIC wedding and party!!!
