Five stars is insufficient for this beautiful venue. Our contract was signed 19 months before the wedding. Throughout that time, communication was outstanding with every e-mail and question promptly addressed. The Grove staff walked us through every step, met every request and every spoken and unspoken need. (For example, light refreshments were provided for the wedding party prior to the ceremony. When they noticed that the guys retrieved the girls' leftovers, they prepared and sent over a huge platter of homemade chicken fingers and fries. This went above and beyond any expectations, but they didn't want the guys hungry.) Guests marveled over the beauty of the entire venue, especially with the glorious sunset and twinkling lights in the trees. The food was absolutely delicious, not your standard event food, and I heard several people remark they had never had a wedding meal this good. Our photographer told us that every meal there was excellent, but our guests especially raved over the almond-crusted chicken tenders, an add-on dish, and the horseradish mashed potatoes. The flow of events from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to cake to dancing to send off was flawless; our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The yard games were thoroughly enjoyed; no one was ever 'bored' waiting for the next event. The decorations and display tables exceeded the bride's vision and everything was carefully packed away at the end of the night for us; Venue at the Grove is truly a full-service wedding facility. They connected us with the best photographer (Tony George), bakery (Sugarlips...people who don't like cake loved it), DJ, bartenders, and Photo Booth people. I could rave endlessly about how pleased we were with everything. However, the biggest difference with this venue is that everyone who worked there truly conveyed that they CARED about ensuring the day was magical for the couple and their guests. We eloped here in June 2020 after COVID19 cancelled our original wedding plans. The Venue at the Grove provided an affordable, beautiful setting for a tiny wedding. Even though June is not an ideal time to get married in Phoenix due to high temperatures, we weren't too hot. We had a ceremony in the morning before the afternoon heat set in. Ample shade in the grove itself, paired with lots of grass, made for a cooler microclimate. I worked with Karley to schedule our tiny wedding, and she was a doll! She was responsive by phone and email and overall very pleasant to work with. Our "day of" coordinator helped everything go smoothly - I wish I remembered her name so I could thank her properly! The elopement package cost us less than $650. We had 1.5 hours on the property. The package included chairs, a beautiful arch with a fabric draping and access to their bridal suite. I think the Venue at the Grove would make a nice location for a more formal wedding so please take a look here if you're a bride-to-be! Our wedding here was amazing! They took care of everything throughout the whole process. All the vendors they offer and use are absolutely incredible to work with. Everything ran super smoothly the whole day. Alyssa was so organized and ran everything behind the scenes so well. The venue is stunning. We got married in November and it was perfect weather and the grass and trees were so beautiful. It was the best experience I could ask for. I never felt stressed or worried during the wedding planning process because they made it so easy and straightforward. 10/10 recommend. I also highly recommend Tony George as the photographer. What a beautiful venue! I attended a Wedding here and at first, as I approached I wasn't sure if I was going to the correct location as it's in a residential area. Once you pull into the gravel lot, parked, and walked up, it started to look more like a venue. Beautiful!!! What a gorgeous setup!!! Although I'm allergic to grass, the greenery was amazingly beautiful and reminded me of the Midwest which, I love as it had a homey vibe. The barn-like doors on one end of the venue were lovely as was the bar area on that end as well. The building itself is small and quaint and made for smaller gatherings and events but the outdoors were perfect for bigger weddings/ events. There are bathrooms on-site in the building. I know that in the winter months it's beautiful there. It's perfect in the summer too but, I wouldn't recommend a June-Aug event outdoors unless they place a/c units and misters outside on every inch of the property. Az just gets way too hot for events during those months to be held outdoors. I liked the decor and setup choices. I loved the hors d'oeuvre served but I was not a fan of the food at all but it wasn't about me. Lol, The staff that came with the venue were all nice as I assumed that if you book here, you have to use their staff and catering but I'm not 100% sure. They also have a couple of outdoor bar areas where you're able to provide cocktails to your guests. There's plenty of free parking in the gravel lot, so where flats and carry heels to avoid damaging them. Ladies, Since it is outside on all grass, you may want to consider carrying flats for walking around to avoid heels digging into the grass. The tables are set up on concrete so you're able to wear your heels after the wedding( if the event is setup that way). I also noticed that, because it is in a residential area that the noise ordinance is a factor, therefore, it was hard to hear the DJ, and the time to end events due to Phoenix ordinance, I believe is 10 pm. Food was served family style and we had long wooden tables with organic simple greenery table decor. Plenty of room for children to run around and tire themselves. However, I wish that they had fans and Misters; especially in the covered areas and the barn. I loved that it was an open air venue. First time here ( for a wedding ) and it is so amazing! The weather (rainy & cold), didn't allow for the use of the beautiful outdoor area with lots and lots of romantic lights and greenery, so pretty! We were under a covered area outside when the ceremony took place. There were about 85-100 guests that fit perfectly. Outside heaters were all over,so that was great! Came here for my best friend's wedding last weekend. This place is perfect for a small wedding ceremony. The bridal room & restrooms were very clean, the staff were very nice and organized. They made sure everything was going smoothly. The food was also not bad. The cons are: -IPOD player in the bridal room didn't work. -comes with a bartender but you have to bring your own alcohol? This is a hidden gem. Wasn't sure what to think as we drive what seemed like forever from Scottsdale during rush hour traffic to get to this place on a Friday for a 4:30pm wedding. It was very quaint and lively from the minute we got out of the Uber. The wedding venue was stunning and just beautiful with the trees and grass. After the wedding, they had a reception area where a little bar was located and places to sit and an area where kids could run and play in the grass and others could play bags. After the reception, were taken back to the large patio area where the tables were set up and a sit down dinner commenced. The lights in the trees and the setting where perfect. The service was good and the servers were friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. This really is a great place for a wedding or large outdoor event. read more

Yelp review I've been waiting two years to give this venue a one star review. The one star review even came before covid happened, so bare with me on this review. If you're reading this review you're contemplating a special place for your big day. Meaning, you're about to spend an overpriced amount on this venue. Please take my advice when I say take your money and business else where. Take your business to a venue that cares about the BRIDE and the GROOM. This is your guys BIG DAY! The stress comes naturally, the venue and the ppl your working with should not add to that, and this venue did. The people at this venue were SO nice to work with when searching for venues. They had me SOLD. So don't be fooled. The day they received our third payment these girls became RUDE. As brides we have many things going on - trying to plan our special day-I call the venue to ask a question the lady- one, seems like she hates that she even has this job secondly she says "okay this phone call could have been in an email, next times don't call me, email me". The careless & heartless conversations continued after that. Covid happens we get a call from someone in charge there, we pick up & the first thing they say is "pick a new date" not knowing our wedding for sure was going to be postponed because that conversation never happened, well that's what this was. "Pick your new date" was them letting us know the wedding we planned for over a year was getting a new date & this happened three times. Was the postponing the venues fault, not all. Was the heartless experience and conversations to a bride and groom their fault, absolutely. We paid EXTRA for a Saturday and we were told to pay even MORE to settle for a Thursday wedding. I asked if they had weekends available like we paid for they said yes but we're a business and need to give those days to someone else that's has not already paid your 30 grand. "You can have a Monday our Tuesday for FREE, (FREE because we didn't just pay these people thousands of dollars) our you can PAY for a Wednesday or Thursday" again Friday through Sunday, the day we paid a lot more money for, we weren't enough to be offered those. Their photographer (who we did not use, thank the good lord above) let us know our engagement photos needed to happened on a week day because she did not want to make time in her weekend schedule for us. We were told to show up at two for a ceremony that starts at four. I get a call a week before the wedding saying if you want to show up at the time we were told to show up for it'll be 330 dollars to do so. If not you need to show up THIRTY MINS before your wedding starts. THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS to show up at two (the time we were told to show up) after we paid EXTRA for a Saturday and got married on a Thursday. These people literally sleep at night charging their bride & grooms 330 dollars to show up to their wedding they just paid no less than 30 grand for. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE people. I have so much more to write about our experience with venue but I have no more energy or time to continue to put in to this review. So please brides, coordinators, event planners, reach out to me before booking and I can go into even more details. Your day should be special, stress free, & overall a beautiful unforgettable experience. This venue experience has been unforgettable alright. I have to add, our experience was so rough we spoke to the actual owner of the facility. We had the easiest and best time planning and having our wedding at Venue at the Grove. Our Wedding Coordinator, Kaitlin, made the planning process incredibly simple. She answered our 1 million questions and listened to every scenario. At our rehearsal, she was patient with every family members questions and didn't seem frazzled at having to repeat instructions 2 to 3 (and sometimes 4) times. On the day of the wedding, I received SO many compliments from friends and family that not only was the venue beautiful, but that the wedding seemed so well put together and ran smoothly. What can I say about Venue at the Grove that will do them justice???? I will do my best. Originally we were scheduled to have my daughters wedding in April and 19 days out we got news we were being postponed due to Covid!!! After rescheduling to June 13th I was concerned heat would be unbearable and it was just not going to be what we wanted. As the global pandemic continued our plans kept shifting. For the Venue and what they were allowed to do changed a few times. Then as we approached our new date we were on the edge of our seat waiting for the governor to lift the stay at home orders, he did and we were happy. Then a week out the riots happened and AZ was put under statewide curfew!! What!!!! But that expired before our date so we were good to go. I had prepared lots of handmade decorations and dropped those off at rehearsal. I am a very picky (that's the nice word for it) person with details and I was a little concerned it wouldn't be set up like I wanted. When I arrived the day of- I looked at the set up and didn't need to change NOT ONE THING!! It was all perfect! Go figure, not their first rodeo! Our coordinators Mady and Mary Kate were phenomenal! The staff was fantastic! Food was amazing, grounds were perfect. The day/evening went perfectly. It was a beautiful special day beyond anything we even imagined. If you want a beautiful setting that doesn't feel like the desert, a staff that works like clockwork and professional - this is the place for your special day. Considering all the restrictions they had to comply with because of Covid-19, protests, curfew and riots and how well they were completely prepared they pulled off an event like nothing was going on outside of the venue. It was beautiful venue. Unfortunately, the occasional plane noise was distracting and during the wedding ceremony someone started to use a power tool of sorts. It was stopped quickly after but yikes! It was clean, welcoming and if I were getting married again I'd consider this location for an indoor wedding then maybe outside for the reception (bc of the noise). Staff was friendly and professional, Good appearance and helpful. Food, the food was amazing but I'd recommend not serving finger foods during the cocktail hour that is so greasy. It was served on a napkin that was soaked with grease. So, now what do I wipe my hands on? I hated the chairs at the ceremony. They weren't very comfortable and I felt like would break. In the cracks of the chairs you could see old dirt and mud from previous events. Small attention to detail like that takes the venue up a notch. I enjoyed the lights strung on the trees once it was dark. Added a nice ambiance. My other critiques were of decor here and there which was fine but could have been "more". She then realized I was calling about a wedding. Now I live out of state and am planning a formal wedding for about 50 people. All I wanted was information sent to me in regards to their site...period!! I was informed that the size of the party was too small for the day or any day that matter, because during the week the guest count is 75 minimum. What this person failed to realize is that maybe she should get further information prior to disregarding perspective clients who have money to spend. My husband and I were married here earlier this month. The stunning full pecan trees offered the perfect setting for our private wedding ceremony. All our guests commented how serene the location was and how it helped make the wedding so unique and beautiful. Everyone who helped us here was very professional. I wanted the perfect fall setting and brought many fall-like decorations, besides the red arbor drapping they provided, and didn't give them much direction, but told them to just do what they thought would look best. I have had several friends consider the Venue at the Groves but ultimately went with another venue. I was finally lucky enough to attend a wedding there recently and was underwhelmed. The venue itself was very pretty but was also very small. The wedding area can accommodate a mid sized wedding but seemed cramped. The area behind the groves is developed housing and to the south west of the "Grove" area is dirt lot. One of the neighboring homes of the venue played mariachi music during the ceremony which was a distraction. They did have cute ambiance options. After the wedding we went to a more "rustic" barn area for cocktail hour. I use cocktail and not cocktails because they only staffed 2 bartenders for a wedding party of 200. They did a great job of allowing the personalities of the couple to shine through with specialty craft cocktails, but the bartenders may not have been properly trained on how to make them as they were way too strong to be enjoyable. The catering team had some missteps as well. Its buffet food at a wedding so I am not expecting miracles, but trays of food ran out quickly with no back ups ready to go. When it came time to toast the couple, the guests were told by the DJ "go to the bar and get a drink, we are toasting the couple in 5 minutes." I have never been to a wedding where guests have been forced to get their own drinks for the toast. The outdoor brick reception portion was beautiful for the evening wedding but the indoor venue portion portion was outdated. The catering staff was also very clear when they wanted us to leave. By the time 10 PM rolled around, they cleared everything including drinks off the tables and last call was not long after that. I get we cant stay all night, but it was evident they wanted us gone. If you are looking for an intimate, quaint, outdoor wedding in the middle of the city, keep the Venue at the Groves on your list. But I would still suggest checking out the Desert Botanical Gardens before you put down a deposit. read more

A great place for breakfast. Go early and sit on the patio for a wonderful experiance. The food is very good, made from scratch. the omlets are fluffy, the verde pork in the ranch eggs and phoenix omlet is superb, and of course the pecan encrusted French bread is too die for! the only thing I would change are the breakfast potatoes. They;re shredded and kind of bland. The Groves try to use local growers for the menu which I think is the way to go and I'm sure they could find a more interesting local product. Our waiter, Jon, was very personable and graciously substituted a fruit cup for the biscut. All in all, the Groves is doing just about everything right and I think it's wonderful to finally have a local eatery that doesn't have a drive thru. Been meaning to check this out for Sunday brunch since I live close by (walking distance) and was pleasantly surprised. It's a bit tucked away but that makes it all the more special. The setting was wonderful it made me feel like I was having breakfast with the Mad Hatter in Alice of wonderland with pretty checkered tablecloths and tables with heat lamps outside. Note: There is also inside seating for you desert foxes. The beautiful grove of pecan trees in autumn foliage created such a surreal backdrop to our usual drab scenery in the desert. They didn't have egg benedict, my absolute favorite, but they did have excellent belgian waffles, pecan french toast and their grove breakfast special of the usual eggs and skillet potatoes. This movie reminds me of a Danish movie, I once saw where 4 ne'er gooders open a restaurant out of an old country farm, the best line was "Some places you don't go for the food, you just go there because the place is so pleasant"--The Venue at the Groves is indeed one of those places. read more

They worked with us all along the way as well as all of their preferred photographer, catering, and florist. They had a solid plan for the safety of their staff and guests. Venue at the Grove created THE DAY OF MY DREAMS. I can honestly say there is NOTHING I would change about my wedding day, it was the most beautiful, magical day of my life! The whole team at the venue is impeccable in their planning and executing of our big day, if there were any issues or hiccups on the day of I didn't hear or see ANY of them. We toured so many venues and I can say that with the all inclusive package the Venue at the Grove has the absolutely best value for what you pay. The whole team, especially our coordinator Madison went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. There is not a thing I regret about our wedding day, and my husband and I talk about and reminisce on how perfect our day was often! Many of our guests gushed that our day was the most beautiful and fun wedding they'd ever been to. The team at VATG takes care of all the hard stuff so you can focus on the things that are important to you, and that means everything! If you are even considering booking this venue do it. My husband and I just got married at Venue at the Grove on October 14th, it was a brunch wedding. When we went to the venue during one of their open houses (go if you have a chance!) , I knew this was where I wanted to get married. The customer service and attention we received was outstanding. Madison, our coordinator, is absolute perfection - from her wonderful personality, quick responses, and every single step of planning which went smoothly, we are beyond blessed to have had her coordinate one of the most important days of our lives. She went above and beyond (I am a big time crier and had a mini emergency where you could see streaks on my face through the makeup - no joke, we needed a beauty blender to fix things up and she brought the one from her own makeup bag) and was on top of every single detail on the big day. Beautiful venue! My sisters wedding was here and I loved the scenery, the trees, the reception area for all of the friends and family. The only thing I wish was different is being given a longer amount of time. They only give you three hours to do the ceremony and the reception. It was great but I wish it was longer. read more
