This Bethany Home location has someone special who truly loves what she does, she is a designer and she is the event coordinator her name is Rosie. She will listen to your vision and take the time to make it perfect for you. I planned an absolutely beautiful wedding there with her in only one month and Rosie and her amazing sweet team made it possible. Absolutely everyone loved our wedding and the table decorations and color combinations that she put together for our event where strikingly beautiful! We still feel like our wedding was something out of a movie. The catering was delicious all our guests were telling us about how good everything tasted specially the southwest corn! Not only did the venue look absolutely stunning but the food they provided was delicious among other great things that they do. They provided a great DJ that caters to the exact vibe you want to create for your event. They provided a great limo service that understood the assignment and helped create great memories. Rosie was fantastic, very transparent and accommodating, especially throughout the unexpectedness that was brought with COVID. This venue was used for a wedding and the staff were very helpful and efficient. Everything went as expected and Rosie did a fantastic job coordinating and communicating with us every step of the way. With all the craziness a wedding brings, Rosie was able to help assure the package we paid for was brought to life. The only thing that went wrong was a limo over heated (which the difference is being reimbursed), and the food took a bit longer to prepare than expected. No complaints as Rosie and her team were quick to make adjustments and ensure that we were monetarily and situationally taken care of. What a disappointment. I scoured approximately 12-15 places to have our banquet. When I called, I told the person what our budget was and that we needed a plated lunch. I was told it was doable. She gave me two options for caterers: one Mexican food, the other "American." I picked the "American." We did the contract, and I found we were at the high end of what I told her our budget is. I thought, "Hmmm. Okay." We picked a time for the caterer to bring in samples of the meals. We picked two: beef tips and chicken cordon bleu. I found out the dessert was extra. Okay. Well, guess we are now over budget. Then I found out we would have to pay extra for glasses. If we wanted cloth napkins versus paper, that was another extra. I told her I felt we were being nickel and dimed. We ended up having them forego water and soda placed in pitchers on the tables and brought our own. We traded their water and soda for goblets and cloth (versus paper) napkins. I'm surprised we didn't have to pay extra for the knives and forks. The day of the event, our speaker had asked for a projector. I was told the hall would provide it. (What? Not an extra fee for that??) Well, it turned out, it wasn't what he needed. Luckily, he had something in his car that he could use. The food was supposed to be served at 1:20. They didn't start serving till 2:00. I was told someone had told them to wait till 1:30. Well, that's 10 minutes, not 40. The salad and its dressing was good. The "vegetable medley" was mainly green beans. The beef tips were rather sparse, in other words, not much on the plate. The rice medley was ho hum. There was a roll with an individual wrapped butter for each plate. Presentation was, well, mediocre at best. PLUS the food was cold! I was at the back of the room and one of the first tables to be served. The food was cold then. By the time it got to the rest of the room, I'm sure it wasn't any warmer. I was told the chicken was good. I didn't taste it after our initial tasting. The "vegan" plate was rather sparse, and I was told one person had taken a vegan that had not ordered it; therefore, that was the reason. Hmmmm. One extra serving. Did the caterer think to provide a little extra? The pastry chef was different than the main course caterer. We ordered her carrot cake. When we did the tasting, I specifically asked that it NOT contain nuts and that the filling between the layers be thicker than the sample. It was not thicker. Guess what??? The cake had nuts!!! Do they know about the liability of an allergic reaction?? To top it off, one of the guests fell, tripping on the raised lip of the area that one walks to get to the bathrooms. She broke her knee cap, shoulder, and needed stitches in her hand. A young man said he had tripped on that lip as well and another person. Who knows how many other people caught their shoes on that lip. When I told the hall, they said it was the first time it happened. Hmmmm. Three people that I know of at one event? I think I'd do something about that flooring. Just a thought. ... I'm sorry to say I got feedback as far as some of the above comments. The "perfumy" scent at the entrance, I thought it was too many candles or whatever. I'm told that it is some sort of cleaning product. Whew!! Whatever it is, it is strong! Worst attitude I've ever encountered. Rosie (event coordinator) was VERY unorganized and sloppy. She made us pay a fee to reschedule our event because of COVID which was absurd. Claimed that we didn't pay for the limo a couple days before. I will admit, we did have some changes and add-ons to our event. She used that information to try and blame us for her mistake. Disgusting customer service with a side of passive aggressiveness. I wouldn't book ANY event with Rosie. I am not the typical person to leave a review for a place however exceptional service deserves a praise. La Princessa was a great place to have my wedding in. Their packages are reasonably priced and can be customized to meet your needs. It was stressful to find a place that would accommodate for my guest list of 400. La princesa was able to accommodate all of my guests in a way that my guest were comfortable. Rosie is an amazing visionary and designer. She helped me pick out my colors and decorated the hall and was a phone call away (a million of them) the week and day of the wedding. The hall is also recently remodeled with new back drops, new furniture, chandeliers and a beautiful bridal suite! Overall my experience was seamless and the staff was friendly and very attentive especially Rosie. read more

I'm not happy at all with La Princesa on 43rd Avenue and bethany home rd. We had our daughters quinceanera scheduled for august 15th, 2020 but due to covid we weren't able to have it. Especially because alot of our elders in our family contracted covid so having a big family gathering would just be darn right dumb. Besides gatherings arent even allowed. So we called to cancel the event which my daughter was devastated about just to hear we aren't able to get any money back that was put down as a deposit for this date. I understand everyone is taking a loss right now but to keep $500 and not get anything out of it seems a little drastic. I wouldn't recommend making any final decisions and putting any deposits down with this establishment. As they don't care for anyone else but themselves. read more

I recently had an event at the Bethany location and had a great experience overall. Rosie and her staff were very helpful and accomadating. Any changes we requested were done in a timely manner. I received nothing but positive responses from the guest about how pretty the venue was decorated. Hank was entertaining and kept the drinks flowing! The only issues were: a slight mix up with the catering which was resolved and there was no salt and pepper on the table when dinner was served. They were incredibly accommodating and always allowed us to go in and make any last minute changes. They were just great. The problems that I, as well as our guests, had were with the DJ, limo and service. The DJ , who I think was actually the manager, came with the package and he was so boring, put no effort into it and sat the whole time. He played a great variety of songs but we just expected a more fun atmosphere. We asked and emailed him quite a bit before the wedding and just got a one sentence response back, if that. We did meet once prior a few months before but didn't seem to do much good since He Completely messed up our entrance/welcome song. I would recommend getting a dj outside of the package. Also the limo was well over 30 minutes late which put a severe push back in our photo session. The service, bartender, security and serving staff were all actually very nice and incredibly helpful but I'm not sure everyone was on the same page or communicated enough. The bartender wasn't measuring and we ran out of vodka quite fast but again he was very nice. The servicing staff also served dinner rather later then we expected and never passed out the cake, just left them at the cake table which I wasn't aware would happen. But all in all we had a great and memorable time and with a better dj I think it would have been perfect. read more

I wish I could give more than five stars! Gabby along with her wonderful staff made our day absolutely perfect. Gabby was so kind, fun and on point! She had all our little details taken care of. Gabby made the stressful experience of booking and orchestrating a wedding a breeze. She answered all my questions in a timely and professional manner. The facility itself is beautiful and you can tell they take pride in its upkeep. The food was fantastic! All together I don't think we could have made a better choice for our special day. DO NOT GET THIS VENUE! security cameras DO NOT work. Security guards are USELESS. We were in the middle of the party and a couple of males walked in, not related AT ALL to us stole the gift card box we had with more than 1k. They ran out. Security was not at his post when he was supposed to. He was arguing with us that it's not his job to do anything about it. We asked him to make a report with the cops and he refused because he "didn't speak English" when other people talked to him in English and he understood. We asked him about the cameras and he said there's one but another worker from the venue said they didn't work. Just for show! Point is, go somewhere else. Avoid the conflict. Your party won't be secure. Will be going back to speak to the owner!! read more

Came in to this venue February 2015 to book a date for February 2016. had some family problems after booking and canceled the date in May 2015. I was told an in my contract that I would get some of my money back once the venue was rebooked, waited and waited never heard back. called just to check if the venue was still available and was told it was already taken. I let them know who I was and the owner was shocked I asked him why were they still saying it was booked under my name when I had already cancelled. Stated he was going to speak to his employee about the issue and have it resolved. when I called back he let me know they had purchased new iPads and for some reason the date was put back on there system in November. let me know I was not going to get my money back until it was rented out. This is so unprofessional that he is using his system as an excuse to not return me my money due to his system/employees mistakes. Only did one star due to posting issues. read more
