This was close to home so we decided to stop by. Pulling in the complex, if you blink you will miss it. So, as soon as you pull into the complex, it's the first place on the left if you're coming from the east. Place us clean and there are no servers, just the owners. They cook all the food fresh except for the Musubi. The ratio of spam to rice was way off and they heated it to soften the rice which failed. I'm a rice eater and will eat rice even if it's 3 or more days old. My wife had the Pork Fried Rice which was a lot and had to take half of it home. She wish they hadn't had any carrot or peas in it, but she still enjoyed it. I had the Fried Noodles with BBQ Chicken. Good amount of food and came out hot. Chicken was a bit dry, noodles were nicely cooked as well as the vegetables. Almost had to bring a doggy bag, but I managed to clean my plate. read more

I only ordered their macaroni salad, which I wasn't crazy about because I found it too sweet and chunky with veggies compared to other Hawaiian mac salad I've had. I'd give it about a 3.5. I'll come back to try their other items. read more

Cute little spot tucked away in an industrial plaza. Food is good. If it is busy, it does take a while to get your food, so be ready to wait during peak hours. They have the typical hawaiian fare, and I usually default to the same items: Garlic Shrimp plate or Loco Moco. I did try their spam musubi once and I am not a fan. read more

Really cool family owned Japanese/Hawaiian restaurant. The food is always fresh and excellent. The owners are very nice and you can often see their kids helping love going here. We were in the vicinity of this cafe and Dec to order take out. No one here at this odd hour. Service was quick and efficient. Place is small and very clean. We ordered Chicken Katsu to go. Two large breast fillets were cooked to perfection. Two scoops of rice and sauce for the chicken come with the meal. I made some veggies to go along with the meal. The chicken was fresh and tender. I really wanted to love Da Grill, because I love Hawaiian restaurants. This location is tucked in a small industrial office complex. The biggest impact was when we walked in the door and the floors appeared very dirty and a mop bucket just sitting in the middle of the room. The prices were reasonable and the menu items had a lot of variety. It really wouldn't take a lot to make the restaurant more appealable by keeping the front dining area clean. The food seemed overly salty and kind of dry but otherwise was a reasonable facsimile of Hawaiian food. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem by accident the other day while visiting the tire shop around the corner. I tried the Tom Yum fried rice with shrimp and Kalbi beef. Both were very delicious. Went back again and tried the chicken katsu which was tasty as well, but would have loved seeing alittle more vegetables served with this dish. The owner is super nice and the place is very clean. Yuk! Never order "tuna" from a land locked state. I was expecting raw ahi or yellowfin tuna. This had the consistency of tuna cat food. I ordered a tempura tuna roll. Not crispy at all, cat food interior. Completely unrecognizable as sushi. Mushi maybe. My husband ordered chicken pad Thai with fried noodles. How about no. Great katsu! This place is easy to miss when driving by. We tried the chicken katsu and upgraded the white rice to fried rice for $1. It was perfectly breaded & freshly prepared. The katsu sauce was very good (not ketchupy). It came with a TON of fried rice, but it was somewhat bland, could use some salt or flavoring. We also tried the samosas. They had a rich curry flavor and weren't too oily. One plate was more than enough food for 2 people. We will definitely visit again. Order ahead since they get busy and make it all when ordered it can take a few to get your food. Update: we visited again & had the teriyaki chicken w/fried rice. Unbelievably good!!!
