Absolutely AMAZING food and customer service. My husband and I went here for a lunch date shortly after they opened and had a delicious assortment of sushi. Everything tasted FRESH! Which usually you'd have a hard time finding fresh sushi-grade sashimi, well guess what!? They have the freshest fish for their sushi that I have ever had. I am definitely coming here again whenever my husband and I get another chance to. Sauces were delectable with delicious ginger to cleanse your pallet for when you want to get the full flavor of your next roll. The waitress was readily available and very kind! She was quick to help us figure out our order and quick to get my bottle of soju as well, haha! We had such a fun experience. The sushi chef was very quick and professional, he really showed off his skill and ability to make sushi an art! 10/10 experience for a cute sushi shop, definitely recommend for all to try for a nice lunch or dinner spot! The yellowtail pieces were slimy and discolored. Brown color Awful taste, smell, and look. My albacore was tough and tasted terrible as well. Not sure why it's seared. Perhaps to hide the bad quality. Maybe the menu said it is but I didn't see that or I would not have ordered it. The fish for both was obviously NOT fresh. Feels like I got it right before it was due to be thrown out. I did not check the food before leaving because I had faith in them to serve quality food. I'm not even going back for my money. I don't want to ever step foot in here again. Worst sushi experience I've ever had. I know I'm in Arizona getting sushi but I expect the quality to be much greater than what I received. I love supporting small businesses! Found this place just from a simple search on Apple Maps. Cute little spot and the sushi was yummy! I came right in time to get some lunch special deals which was really decently priced. For one person I ordered iced green tea, the fried gyoza appetizer (4 pcs), Scallop volcano roll (4pcs), and a spicy tuna hand roll that was actually BIG. I was stuffed after haha but made room for mango mochi. A small little dessert perfect way to end a lunch. This was part of the lunch special options. So we were driving by this strip mall and noticed this small sushi place we'd never seen before. We looked it up on Yelp to see what people were saying and kind of knew what to expect. But when we got there, we noticed some of the food pictures we saw on Yelp weren't on their menu anymore. The waitress told us those were probably from the old owner. That was a little disappointing because we were hoping they had Katsu and grilled squid, but they don't. Their menu's actually pretty small, just a few appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and rolls. The waitress was really nice though. She could tell we were a bit disappointed and suggested a few things to try. We ended up ordering the soft shell crab tempura, shrimp tempura roll, sashimi combo, veggie roll, and tiger roll. The tempura was actually really good, crispy, not greasy, and you could tell they used fresh oil, not the old stuff. If you've had tempura made with old oil, you know the difference. The sashimi was fresh but sliced pretty thin, which is fine for $17. The rolls were also fresh. We asked for no sauce so we could really taste the fish, and it was decent, not amazing, but good for the price. Overall, it's nice having a sushi place in that area. The food's fresh, the service is friendly, and it's a good casual spot to grab some sushi if you're nearby. read more

Had lunch here and ordered the sashimi platter. It was so good! The quality of fish was insane. The scallion oil on top of the sashimi paired so well. Now look at that tuna roll !! The pieces were HUGE !! The tuna was fresh and such a bang for its buck. I also ordered a yellowtail hand roll and it was about the same size as the tuna roll lol. I think a lot of sushi places can be really stingy with their portion sizing but when I came here they definitely gave a lot and for an affordable price. Now this is one of my favorites in the valley, what a change. I d put this restaurant up against some of the best sushi I've had anywhere. Came here for the first time in about a year. This was our second time under the new ownership. We liked it a lot kore than the first time which was not bad. Big rolls, decent prices compared to other sushi restaurants too. It was not busy which is a shame. Owners are nice people. We did not finish what we ordered and I think the server was concerned but the rolls are so big that we got full. We took the rest home and ate the rest for dinner. We will definitely come back. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, katsu roll (chicken cutlet sushi), and a green tea cheesecake. Whole order came out to be around $24. The chicken cutlet wasn't as good as I thought it'd be; the sauce it came with wasn't very good. The spicy tuna was pretty good. Unfortunately, the rice for the sushi was below average but I liked the sprinkle of sesame seed on each piece. The green tea cheesecake was quite small and hardly tasted like green tea at all. It comes with chocolate syrup which I felt didn't complement it too well either. read more
