I have been here 3x. The first time we were the only ones here and I was wary. I was amazed by the quality and variety of fish that I can't find elsewhere. When I returned I tried more variety , WOW! I am blown away. The king salmon, and white tuna are my favorite. They have sea bass, toro, Japanese wagyu, and more !! Everything being of the highest quality. I am a sushi snob, have tried many many places. I'm telling you the quality is noticeable. Try for yourself!! The third time I decided this is a new staple of mine and replacing the sushi place I have frequented for 5 years ....

Amazing good. Kevin treated us great. Showed up at 8:35pm on a Thursday, 10 min before last call and they took great care of us! White mango roll, Las Vegas and kizami toro roll were our favorites ! Will be back when we are back in town

Definitely have to say the Chicken Karaage with the sauce was so good. Tteok Man Du Guk was amazing the broth was so good. The Service was excellent food came out pretty fast. There wasn't allot of people when we came in so we got the restaurant pretty much to ourselves. It's a nice clean open space. I definitely red to come try more food cause everything was so good.

Hands down one of my favorite hidden gems in the valley! The food is so delish, the service is great, it's cozy inside and never too busy! I imagine they're only going to get more busy as time passes - and they totally deserve it! Japanese-Korean fusion! Here you can get sushi and different Korean plates. We've gone twice now and it hasn't disappointed! Highly recommend the Osam Bulgogi & the "White Tuna Mango" roll! That was such a unique roll with the rice crunch! We loved it! Everything you want in a roll with a nice texture and we couldn't stop talking about it! So good! The owners were there also checking on everyone - just an overall great (and super clean) environment! My husband, daughter & I are huge fans!

Our new favorite Sushi place Great selection Great service Great prices Bonus shop next door to order Korean food, snacks, beer and more. Nami has a wonderful menu of Sushi and amazing Korean dishes. So much food! They have some great unique Sushi rolls found only here and some of the favorites too. As for some fantastic Korean dishes ... they have them for sure. A large selection of usual Sushi restaurant beers and some unique Korean beers too. Next door is a store owned by the restaurant, selling snacks, candy, food and beers from Korea too. Love this place

Another Yelp win! I came here because of the amazing reviews and was highly impressed! I was dining alone, so I sat at the sushi bar. Inside was clean, and the staff was welcoming. My server was busy, and I believe it was the only server that night, but we did a great job and even made suggestions, as it was my first time dining here. I got the roll with mango, tempura shrimp, tuna, salmon, and truffle sauce. I don't like eel or eel sauce, so I asked my server to leave that off. My roll was plenty for one person, but I wanted to try something else, so I also got the dumplings, which were also quite good. I actually got them steamed, but I'm not a big fan of fried food. I love the purple rice and sushi combo! I am such a picky sushi eater, but this sushi is definitely a 9/10 for me, so I'm giving this place five stars, and I would definitely return.

Very open and large dining area. They have several televisions that were showing a baseball game during our lunch. Each of the tables had wine glasses. There is a pretty large menu and prices are pretty reasonable. For our first visit we stuck to sushi rolls and ordered a Philly roll, White Horse, Over the Rainbow and Unagi eel roll. The rolls are made with black rice and once added to water the rice turns purple. You learn something new every day. We first noticed the sushi was sliced into much smaller pieces which I really appreciated. The black rice seemed to have a different texture than white rice and not as starchy. I really enjoyed the black rice. Overall the rolls were very good and the options were unique. The menu offers rolls that we have never seen before. Most of the diners were eating Korean dishes so that will be for another visit.

When I say I devoured this, I mean it. Tucked in North Phoenix, Nami Korean Kitchen & Sushi is a hidden gem that totally exceeded my expectations. I ordered: * Korean Fried Chicken: crispy, flavorful, and addictive * Cutie Pie Roll: fresh, playful, and perfectly balanced * Bulgogi that literally melted in my mouth * White Horse Roll: unique and beautifully plated * Choya Plum Wine: light, sweet, and the perfect pairing * Tempura Cheesecake: yes, I ended with this and have zero regrets The service was friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and every single dish was a hit. Would I go back? Already planning my next visit. If you're in North Phoenix, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Your taste buds will thank you too.

Highly recommend this authentic Korean restaurant. Although it doesn't have the tabletop grills for Korean bbq, this place more than makes up for it with high-quality well-priced traditional fare. Banchan (side dishes) are the mark of a good kitchen, and Nami's kimchi and assorted sides are just like a home cooked meal. Must try both the mul naengmyun and the bibim naengmyun. Kalbi is well marinated and prepared with just the right amount of char. Reservations can be made, and I feel like word is getting out that this place is legit, so I would make a ressie if I were you. For anyone living in north Phoenix, give this place a try. You won't be sorry, and you'll probably bring friends along next time!

I had been craving both sushi and Korean food for a while now and I was in the area recently for an appointment and decided to give this place a try afterwards. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the pork mandu, grilled mackerel, L.A. Galbi, kimchi fried rice, deaji bulgogi, salmon skin roll, spicy scallop nigiri, salmon lover roll, cave creek roll, white mango roll, and a baked scallop roll. Out of all the dishes we ordered, our top three favorites were the L.A. galbi, deaji bulgogi, and the white mango roll. Surprisingly, the rolls for us were a hit or a miss. The white mango roll, the roll I was most skeptical about trying ended up being my favorite of the rolls. I'm not a big tuna person but I love mango, so I had to try it, and it ended up being really light and refreshing! On the other hand, the rolls that we were most familiar with ended up being our least favorite. What I really appreciated about this place besides them having both Korean dishes and sushi on their menu was how creative and diverse their rolls were! Overall, service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is comfortably casual, with lots of seating options available. The interior was considerably more spacious than we had assumed from the outside. I would consider this spot family friendly, but at the same time also good for a date or a meal out with a group of friends.

Grab their lunch bento box here. For $15 it's an incredible value! Everything is fresh and good portion size.

    Sabrina H.

I've been wanting a cheaper sushi spot that has decent sushi for a while now since I keep running too bad spots and I finally found a spot to come to now their pricing is pretty good for good sushi. It's not like the best sushi you'll ever have but it's really good for the price. And they really keep it clean in this business. My only con about my Nigiri was that two of the five pieces were a bit lukewarm but possibly could be because I came in 20 minutes after they had opened prob stuff wasn't ready yet and up to temp the japchae was good as well for sure lots of ingredients and a hearty amount a bit lacking in seasoning but I'd eat that any day you barely notice , cucumber salad amazinnnng here perfectly cut thin as heck letting the juice soak in and omg so good love this place I'll def be coming back to try the other items on the menu and more nigiri

The order came with some banchan; stir fried fish cakes, cucumber salad, and kimchi. The bulgogi itself was good but didn't have a very smoky flavor. It came with fried vegetable spring rolls, shumai and goon mandu. I didn't realize it came with the same appetizers we ordered but didn't mind as they were tasty. The only item we didn't care for were the spring rolls, which were mushy. The kimchi fried rice was ok, I'm not sure I'd get it again. I really enjoyed the goon mandu and would definitely order it again, it was crisp, the filling well seasoned and I especially loved the dipping sauce it came with. The shumai had an interesting spongy texture and nice shrimpy flavor which I enjoyed. Warning, the spicy sauce for the wings is not for the faint hearted! I was not prepared for that level of heat but if you enjoy really spicy food you'd like it. It was too much for me and my boyfriend who typically eats really spicy food. Thankfully, the sauce was on the side and the wings themselves were nice and crispy so we ate them without the sauce. The prices were reasonable and portions were large. I would definitely come back!

The whole experience was excellent -- great ambiance, great service, and really high-quality food. We loved everything from the steak combo to the noodles, and even all of the vegetables were amazing. It was also really fun watching the server cook everything right in front of us. On my last experience, Saturday March 28th, it was disappointing due to the way we were treated. We requested fish cake upon ordering and was told they just ran out, I commented/asked if that was truly the case as it is always out. At the very least, it's been the last 10 times they've been out of this side. We do go frequently, so it was surprising to hear him make this excuse. The remaining food service was average, it was busy so the server did the best he could under the circumstances. He attitude seemed fine and we moved on with our meal. Upon receiving our check, he decided to autograt our bill for a party of 5. I brought this up to our server and he stated it is managements decision to autograt parties of 5 or more (I call BS) and asked if it was because I seemed displeased at the ordering of our food due to the fish cake questions? I asked if I was profiled as someone who doesn't tip for any other reason? He insisted that all parties of 5 or more at the restaurant are autograt, at all Sizzles. At this point, if servers are now able to autograt any parties they feel a tip is not earned, it's no longer a tip and a restaurant charge. if I was profiled, it would seriously be disappointing. I'm happy to share all receipts showing a minimum of 20% at every restaurant, many cases even more, including at Sizzle. Deeply disappointing at this restaurant and may consider not going back. There are many options but to be treated this way is again, disappointing at best. I rated 2 stars due to the interaction and excuses for the autograt and will be writing a letter to the management but affirm the food/meat quality is very good, this was a very bad reflection of service and decision for the service staff to secure their tip this way. If they're out of fish cake, I do not blame the server and it is not their compensation that should be impacted but the action taken by the staff is questionable.

My friends and I came to this place together because I had been before and liked the Korean food here. Food was legit and was a good experience previously. However, the day we came in, the waitress got my friend's order wrong as my friend wanted the bibimbap but the waitress heard something else and brought out a soup. When my friend immediately told her that isnt what she ordered, the waitress (new) proceeded to argue with my friend. I watched incredulously as things started to unfold. The waitress even asked my friend to pronounce bimbimpap again and told her she should learn how to pronounce it better. She kept arguing wirh my friend and mind you, waitess wasnt Korean or Korean American. At this point, I had to step in, as I also heard my friend say bibimbap clearly. The waitress didnt know what she was talking about and at the same time was being rude as heck to my friend. Then, my other friend shows up and orders a bibimpap. When the bibimpap is brought out, I asked her to bring some gochujang for my friend. I didnt know if my friend would like this chili paste, so wanted her to have the option to try it. The waitress again decided to argue about this and at this point, she was really testing my nerve. She said bibimpap doesn't come with gochujang and I am like thinking are you crazy, woman? I am not Korean but I have been eating Korean food for 30+ years, I know what I am talking about. She then asked me to repeat gochujang several times and I was very annoyed at this point. Its like, look lady, you dont know what youre talking about, stop sticking your foot in your mouth and come on, be nice to your customers! Because of this terrible behavior, I asked to speak to a manager, a woman came over and listened to what happened and apologized and thats how we found out she was new. I was beyond frustrated at this point. Despite the horrible service, I still left a 10% tip, but honestly the waitress deserves zilch and needed more training. The food is solid here but I wont be returning with that kind of behavior, I can choose where my money goes, and these days with it being so hard to get by, good luck to this place as I am not coming back.
