Had a great time tonight. The 20 piece sashimi was awesome. Great service. Love the atmosphere. All the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend.

A solid sushi spot for quick service. The conveyor belt is regularly full of classic rolls and some sashimi items. The miso soup and yakisoba from the ordering menu is also a nice add on to complement the sushi.

The sushi was so fresh & amazingly delicious! Staff is super friendly & impressed even the owner was working & interacting with us & other customers! Visually the presentation of sushi ordered was amazing as well! Definitely recommend!

Fat and skin filled salmon roll.
Susana M.

My sushi had salmon skin and fat still attached!! It was delivered through DD and for whatever reason my review wasn't posted!! I've never had this happen anywhere. Why would the sushi bar send me 2 salmon rolls that were knowingly not prepared to minimum standards. I lost my appetite and couldn't eat my meal. If they have the audacity to make sell rolls like that and basically flip you the proverbial bird, what else can you expect? See my pictures I can't make it up.

This spot is a little closer to us than the usual conveyor belt sushi joint we normally go to so we decided to give them a try. The restaurant itself was very clean & looks nice, there is plenty of seating and their belt seems to go by at a pretty decent pace, so you won't have to sit around waiting forever for the dishes to go by. Aside from what is on the belt they have a menu with a wide range of different items that can be made to order. We went during a pretty slow time of the day. There were only three other tables when we arrived that had guests at them. Even so all of the dishes we grabbed off of the belt were the appropriate temperatures they should be at. I do wish that they offered a few other tempura-based rolls like a tempura California roll. Pricing wise the prices are pretty good especially if you are on a budget, though if you are trying to stick to a smaller budget, I would order water instead of a soda especially if you do not normally get refills. The only negative thing about our experience was the staff weren't around much. We had noticed that no gyoza had been added to the belt so we had wanted to order some along with a few menu only items so I tried flagging down our waitress several times but she didn't notice. At the same time there was a couple standing at the register for 8+ minutes waiting for someone to come over so they could pay their bill. Our original waitress didn't end up coming back to our table so when another girl had come over to the table we just opted to get the check instead of ordering what we had planned on getting. Otherwise as I said, the food was good & the prices were reasonable. It is a clean spot to stop when you are looking for a quick sushi fix.

I love sushi and have always been skeptical about conveyor belt sushi. However this place is a 10/10. I can go when they are opening or about to close and still get the freshest sushi. JJ and Sumo rolls are absolutely my favorite. They also have a full menu to order from if you're not feeling sushi. It's super convenient when you're wanting something quick and tasty and don't want to spend forever in the restaurant. The service is pretty good as well. I come here at least once a week now for dinner! They always have good music playing and never takes too long to get a table.

Revolving sushi bar!

I had such a great experience eating here! The sushi was delicious. Even as a revolving bar, the sushi tastes fresh! I'm a bit basic when it comes to my sushi taste palette but I loved all of the rolls I tried. Philly was my favorite. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very nice and clean with plenty of seating available. I will definitely be back to try more rolls!

Chicken Teriyaki

This review is one of those where I think I just ordered the wrong thing. I didn't order the sushi. One of us did & said it was very good. So I'll give them 3 stars, considering she was happy with hers. I ordered the chicken teriyaki & while the rice & broccoli were much better than expected, as well as liked that they didn't drown it in teriyaki sauce, the chicken was very tough.

Ally R.

When in doubt, revolving sushi for dinner!! Brought a friend who had never been and she loved it. I think revolving sushi is such a great experience because the rolls aren't as large or as expensive so you get to try more options! O2 sushi met all my needs, they had several drink options on the conveyer along with the rolls of course, and also dessert! Sushi tasted amazing, they brought out a hefty amount of pickled ginger (my fave) with wasabi, & cute little soy sauce dipping cups. Service was exceptional, she checked on us a good amount and cleared away the the lids from the sushi plates as we were eating. I highly recommend checking it out if you're on the fence.

Super quick inconvenient. The sushi was really good for a conveyor belt location and the chefs were happy to make anything I requested.

We tried lots of different…read moretypes, like salmon, salmon roe, tuna, crab, avocado salmon topped with cool flakes (one of my favorites, along with the salmon roe one) and more. Also got cold sake and poured it for each other which was awesome :D. And just seeing the conveyor belt of sushi was lots of fun..the conveyor thing was longg and went all around the restaurant! There were quite a few people in the restaurant too showing it's a good sign. Sushi quality wasn't most high-grade though. Although they had dishes of watermelon and various cakes floating around the conveyor belt too =p. And fries on the other menu you could order stuff from (along with ramen and hand rolls), so yeah it was like an American fast food meets sushi place a bit. Also they had a robot that helped deliver the sake!! That was really cool aha. Definitely an experience.

First, I think the nigiri style sushi they offer was good and as fresh as I've had anywhere. I was impressed by the sea urchin in particular. It's the rest of the operation that I found frustrating. There were hardly any "roll" options on the conveyor belt and there very few fried items like gyoza or tempura available for picked on the conveyor. After sitting there 10min, there was nothing I hadn't already seen. They get a "D" for variety. Also, the interface to order anything "non-nigiri" was not easy to deal with; placed above me seated at the bar... the extra step necessary to order items like tempura, every other kind of roll and noodles was to me overly complicated. I came into the restaurant around 445 or 5pm, so perhaps that's why the variety was so uncreative. I like conveyor sushi but I've been to other restaurants that execute it better; that offer more variety in terms of nigiri, rolls and fried items like gyoza on the conveyor belt. The food is good but if you're like me you'll find the entire process here at Kura more tedious than fun.

As someone who's a bit picky, that meant I had to sit and wait quite a while for the specific items I wanted to come around on the belt which was kind of frustrating. That said, I've figured out the hack: come right when they open for lunch after 11am. It's a completely different experience. You can order exactly what you want, and it comes out almost immediately. Way more enjoyable and efficient. Even during my first visit, I still had fun. The little robot that delivers drinks and wasabi is a cute touch and definitely adds to the experience. The concept itself is great, it just depends on timing. Food-wise, it's a bit hit or miss. I do NOT recommend the spicy tuna or regular tuna. The quality hasn't been great in my experience it tends to have stringy fat and sometimes tastes fishy. On the other hand, the spicy yellowtail hand roll is consistently my favorite. It always looks fresh with a nice color and texture. The app is also a little confusing. When you try to pay, it still redirects you to a QR code and opens a webpage instead of using the app directly, which makes you wonder why you even need the app in the first place. One more tip: double-check your to-go orders. They've forgotten utensils, soy sauce, and wasabi for me before. Overall, the staff are really nice, even though interaction is pretty minimal. If you go at the right time and know what to order, it can be a really fun and satisfying experience.

For what it is, it was a pretty good visit. We really were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The variety was great. Rice was prepared right -- not mushy or stale. The fish was great which was the biggest surprise of the whole meal. The salmon was fresh and buttery. The scallops were plump. Tuna did not taste cheap or old like previous visits. I did try some of their limited time menu items -- their fish taco and the crispy rice hot dog. The cod in the fish taco was way too soft and disintegrated in my mouth, I would like a firmer fish.. the tartar sauce was great though. The crispy rice hot dog was interesting... the sausage was nice a plump -- juicy but the rice did not make sense. The rice was also a little sweet and did not taste right.. ** please bring back the crispy rice salmon and spicy tuna instead of this. We did not enjoy our last 2-3 visits to Kura. Service was always bad, food did not taste good and it was becoming overpriced for what it is. We would happily come back now and spend what we did again if the quality stays the way it is. Service this time around was still not great, even worse than usual actually, but we still enjoyed otherwise. Kura used to allow you to win prizes at 5-7 plates but now it's every 15, 25+ plates which sucks but I get it..

I got the L/Cali+Shrimp Tempura Combo: California Roll (Half Size), Shrimp Tempura Roll (Half Size), Gyoga(3PCS), Miso Soup. My companion got the L/Rainbow+Dynamite Combo: Rainbow Roll (Half Size), Dynamite Roll (Half Size), 2PCS Nigiri (Chef Choice), Miso Soup. Our soups were brought out pretty quickly and our food not long after. For the price point ($12) and quantity, my lunch special was definitely worth it. It came with 10 California rolls, 5 shrimp tempura rolls, and 3 gyozas. I was pleased to see their gyozas have chicken in them, usually they have pork so I can't eat them. I love their purple rice - so unique. I don't think I'd tried it before and it was good. All of the items I tried were fresh and flavorful. Service was great and I was surprised it wasn't busier during their lunch hour. Maybe later on or dinner gets more of a crowd. I'm glad we tried out this spot and I'd love to come back!

My honey did not like the music. The food was decent. One thing I loved was that they had fresh wasabi. It's amazing. The flavor profile is fresh, bright, with an herbaceous heat. The bad thing is that if you get it to go, the flavor peaks about 5 min after it's grated, so you gotta be quick. We ordered a lot to be able to try a lot. Shrimp tempura-4 pieces, standard tempura, nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Very crunchy, served with either a spicy Mayo or soy dipping sauce. The hot green tea was perfect. Piping hot, you get your own tea pot so it stays hot throughout your meal. Definitely would drink this again. I was disappointed they had a bunch of other drinks listed online but didn't have available when we were there. I really wanted an iced matcha or taro drink. Tenderloin caviar with crispy rice 4 pieces for $22. Meh. They were his favorite, I thought it was just okay. The tenderloin was pretty "well done" and I prefer beef to be cooked a little less. You could barely taste the caviar and I didn't like the way they did their crispy rice in comparison to other places I've had crispy rice. The beef flavor was nice though. Unagi with eel sauce, as good as expected. This is also something most sushi places offer. It was done well, would eat it again. The ratio of rice to unagi was good, didn't have any sort of fishy flavor, not too much eel sauce to make it overly sweet. Yuzu SP- well balanced combination. I'm a huge fan of blue crab. 8/10 Blue crab with cucumber hand roll. So good! It wasn't super giant, good ratio of rice to blue crab. You get the freshness of the cucumber, the mild sweetness of the blue crab. Yasss.Def would eat again. 9/10 Mustard aioli shrimp with cucumber. Meh. Not much flavor. This was the last roll I ordered. Not a fan. The shrimp was cooked fine but flavor was very flat. Their other rolls were better. I'd skip this one next time. 3/10 Yuzu poke roll - great combination of flavors, fresh, bright, and the yuzu was not excessive. 8.5/10 Scallop- I asked for it to be spicy as spicy scallop is one of my go to orders for sushi. The scallop flavor itself was subtle and fresh, but to make it spicy they added a pickled jalapeño and some yuzu aguachile. Meh. Wouldn't order again this again as a spicy one. It probably tasted decent as it was. 4/10 Overall, I'm glad I tried it. Love the fresh wasabi but it's not close to my house. So if I was closer, I'd probably be back more.
