I have enjoyed many sushi meals at this local conveyor belt place before writing this review. Reasonable prices, friendly service and quality food. You can order whatever you want off the menu, as a full roll instead of two halves on the belt a little room temp. So, if you want super fresh, order it! I always like to order the full size 8 piece rainbow roll, a hot salmon skin hand roll extra crispy and one warm eel hand roll. Yes you can grab a warmish dragon roll on the belt, but Boy Howdy, how different it is fresh! None of these are available on the belt at the proper temperature. Also if you like your squid salad cold, you need to order it off the menu, not the belt (room temp at best). It will come straight from the fridge! The servers will learn your order and are excellent at bringing you exactly what you need at the right time. You can also order hot food or take out, but it's fun to hang out with the neighborhood folks and have sushi as it goes by. My favorite prepped roll is the JJ roll. Its tasty, with California roll filling, garlic ponzo sauce and salmon on top, with a sliced jalapeno. Amazing! A big shout out to Ken, our favorite friendly sushi chef. He delivers! read more

The atmosphere was nice. We went on a Saturday around 11 for lunch. The server was nice and checked up on us frequently. My issue on their food was life or death. All of the rolls that passed by listed what was included. Not the desserts though. My daughter grabbed the chocolate cake and 2 hours later projectile vomited. She had this and salmon rolls. When I called the restaurant, I found out the cake had peanuts and tree nuts. She has a severe nut allergy and was admitted to the hospital. In today's world, a nut allergy is extremely common! They SHOULD have listed this as a caution on their sign. The person I spoke to, I assume manager as I requested for one, apologized. I really hope they have taken this matter seriously and reprinted their signs. Luckily my daughter is ok, but what if it ended up tragic with my 8 year old? If you haven't already, please reprint to prevent a death. The rolls were also mostly all made out of imitation crab meat, just different toppings. A bit hard to find in the maze of businesses located at the address. We were immediately greeted and seated wherever we wanted. No pressure to hurry up and eat, we placed our order at our pace. But she did it again after the next table left and I began heaving. I think I've been to all of the sushi train spots in the valley. This one stands above the rest (I like all the other places). The selection, quality of the food and even presentation is great. I was not impressed. I came here for lunch and the sushi on the conveyer belt was not in the slightest bit cold. It was warm which is very unappetizing (and concerning). I also ordered the calamari which was so rubbery it wasn't even edible. The chocolate mouse was also not chilled and had a strange taste. I really wanted to like this place. Not impressed for the $50 I spent for my daughter and I, I could have gotten a far better meal elsewhere. Also, the sushi should have the time it was made. It's not refrigerated or packed on ice- so there is no way of knowing how old the sushi is and how long it's been out (not refrigerated) I am surprised the health department allows this. read more

Honestly, I've only gone to a handful of rotating sushi bars only because they haven't been that good. This one is my favorite one I've tried! Also if you go on a weekend you will find a lot more options on the conveyor belt. I highly recommend especially for someone new to sushi because the conveyor belt has mostly basic rolls and allows someone to try a lot of new things without committing to an entire roll. Hello...! Sushi means "Vinegar'ed Rice"... So if the rice is bad it's bad sushi. We got some stuff off the belt and though it varied the rice was mostly hard dry and tasteless. Some seemed so old it was like a hard unappetizing ball that turned into almost crunchy loose grains in your mouth. So I ordered something they had to make fresh. Not much better, really packed hard and TASTELESS..! Another annoyance was that pretty much every roll on the belt had an Imitation crab base. So not caring for crab of any sort. There was little to choose from. And getting anything made took too long. I would not recommend going here ever, and will never rerun ether. BAD, BAD, BAD... And it sucks too.... I really, REALLY wanted to fall in love with this place. I would have loved a Sushi Station (or is it Sushi on Tatum now?) competitor. We stumbled upon O2 Sushi by accident this morning and decided to go back for dinner. So here it is. Here comes the review. And it's the raw truth. (get it? ok fine, I'm sorry). The good: O2 Sushi is clean and the decor is peaceful and ridiculously good looking. (Ben Stiller anyone? Please accept my second apology). The service is good and everyone is very nice. Instead of mints up front they have jolly ranchers. That should be a win in just about anyone's book. The Bleh: The gyoza we grabbed was ice cold. Better Half took a bite and then told the nice lady it was an ice block. She took it away and brought us back another plate of freshly fried gyoza .... only it was the same gyoza we gave her the first time, complete with the bite mark. So ... it tasted better but now Better Half's saliva is floating around in the frying oil. Whatever, I'm sure it won't kill you. But just know, if you grab a gyoza plate in the next few days, you're essentially kissing my husband. He's a good kisser so you should be fine. Plates of gyoza had no gyoza sauce. I have never had gyoza without dipping sauce and I was thoroughly confused and forlorn. My choices were to eat it dry or dip it in my wasabi soy sauce. Nothing felt right about that. No ginger at the bar or on the tables. The nice lady brought out one little dish of it for our party (we were a group of three). Half way through dinner I couldn't take it anymore and asked for more ginger. She was very nice and got us another tiny dish but I felt like I did something wrong. (Almost made an Oliver Twist reference here but I stopped myself. It's my gift to you). And now here's the big kicker: the revolving sushi plates were mostly crab rolls (albeit with creative and beautiful toppings. Presentation was good). But no matter how beautiful they looked, it was still just lipstick on a pig. It was still just a crab roll. And let me tell you, there's only so many crab rolls you can eat. (Disclaimer: I love crab, some of my best friends are crabs. But I just don't want to eat crab with every single bite of my dinner). By the fourth or fifth plate we were bored to tears. This is the first time, in a very long while, that I've left a sushi place unsatisfied and semi sad. (Sushi is one of my very best friends, as you now know). But who knows, maybe one day we'll give O2 another try. If they whittle down the crab, that is. The fine print ... (read it as fast as you can, it'll be more fun)... This was my first time at O2 Sushi. I took the family for dinner and fun. I have been to a sushi restaurant before with a conveyor belt set up and this is the nicest one I have been to so far. It was very clean and new looking inside. Although the waiter told me they were hiring, I wouldn't have known because there seemed to be a lot of people working there. There was tools and salads, appetizers, drinks and desserts on the belt. One thing that wasn't there that I've seen before at other places was a fruit plate or poke sticks. We also ordered Tumago separately because it's not something you normally see, but my son loves them. I ordered 3 and six came so that means you get 2 each. It was nice, but reasonably priced for sure and a lot of fun. It wasn't packed for Saturday early evening and we had no issue getting a table. I have pictures of the sushi which was outstanding. I just had sushi in Scottsdale less than a week ago that wasn't as good as O2. I recommend this place and I personally will be coming back. I dare say I'll be a regular since it's not too far from home and I was pleasantly surprised with his much we all loved not only the food, but how nice the staff was to us. New sushi place in my area and it's only 2 miles away from my place, couldn't be happier! The restaurant is very clean, the staffs were super friendly!!! My bf and I chose to sit at the Sushi bar. I don't like cucumber in my sushi and I am so glad most of their sushi don't have cucumber in it! (lucky for me, but not for other people maybe) Lol I grabbed the Shrimp Tempura Roll, Crazy Roll and possibly California Roll and my bf grabbed the Gyoza, O2 Roll, Shaggy Dog Roll (wut?) My fav one was the Crazy Roll, I ate 2 plates of this sushi LOL because they put a little bit of eel sauce on it and the sauce is so good. I honestly miss eating sushi in my country where you actually get the regular soysauce but also the sweet soysauce, so I asked them if I could get a little bit of the sweet soysauce because I love it a lot and they said yes! Omg... My bf's favorite was the Shaggy Dog roll because there's something on top of it that tasted a little bit spicy. We also tried their Matcha cheese cake, but I ate too much sushi so sadly there was no room for dessert but I did try a little bit and it was surprisingly good, I just wish they kept it refrigerated because I think it would taste much better...
