This place made me remember what real sushi tastes like! I moved here from CA where I had a few favorite sushi spots. But ever since being in Phoenix I've settled for mediocre fish. O2 Sushi is so clean, open, and bright when you walk in. And then once I started eating it took me right back to eating fresh sushi at places right near the ocean. Revolving sushi bars often sacrifice quality for quantity. Not this place though! They're doing it right and their prices are great. Gonna be a regular spot from now on for sure. New sushi place in my area and it's only 2 miles away from my place, couldn't be happier! The restaurant is very clean, the staffs were super friendly!!! My bf and I chose to sit at the Sushi bar. I don't like cucumber in my sushi and I am so glad most of their sushi don't have cucumber in it! (lucky for me, but not for other people maybe) Lol I grabbed the Shrimp Tempura Roll, Crazy Roll and possibly California Roll and my bf grabbed the Gyoza, O2 Roll, Shaggy Dog Roll (wut?) My fav one was the Crazy Roll, I ate 2 plates of this sushi LOL because they put a little bit of eel sauce on it and the sauce is so good. I honestly miss eating sushi in my country where you actually get the regular soysauce but also the sweet soysauce, so I asked them if I could get a little bit of the sweet soysauce because I love it a lot and they said yes! Omg... My bf's favorite was the Shaggy Dog roll because there's something on top of it that tasted a little bit spicy. We also tried their Matcha cheese cake, but I ate too much sushi so sadly there was no room for dessert but I did try a little bit and it was surprisingly good, I just wish they kept it refrigerated because I think it would taste much better... The stack of empty plates on the table was quite night once lunch was done as we had all sorts of things from Las Vegas rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, California rolls, sesame balls, shu mai, gyoza, egg rolls, edamame, green tea cheesecake, fun Japanese sodas and a few other items I am forgetting. After giving this place some time to really start-up and work out any kinks from opening; I really enjoyed my evening here. The sushi was pretty good. I didn't have anything that really blew my mind but for the price it's hard not to say good things. We took a seat at the bar and got our drink orders in; got our first drinks quickly. The only improvement I'd suggest is perhaps readily available water for self-service. My water was empty pretty quickly after a spicy roll and it took me about 10 minutes to finally get a waitresses attention to get a refill. This would be an easy fix to adjust this issue. The restaurant is really out of the way for me, so I had to take the time to intentionally go and try this place. There is hardly anything else on the belt other than rolls - california roll, tuna roll, spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, aloha roll. And there definitely isn't any other fish on the belt other than tuna or salmon. I think I took the only shrimp nigiri that went past me for the fifth time when I realized there was not going to be anything else available other than rolls. Maybe the restaurant is restricted in the variety they can make if the main clientele's pallet can only handle mayo and fake crab and refried frozen wontons... It's probably good for some. 1 star for the mediocre sushi - not so fresh, but good variety. Customer service sucks. I'm not sure if the workers were profiling my family and I, nonetheless, we were not treated the way everyone else was. We weren't greeted nor were we told to wait or to grab a seat. So we just wondered and when we were going to sit on the counter, a lady finally talked and told us "you can't sit there, there's no food. Wait because I'm cleaning." However, everyone else who entered after us was greeted with a "hello! Welcome! Please sit anywhere you'd like," which I thought was hilarious. They also didn't check on us and got us refills. I've never been in the location before but I finally ordered from O2 online after being tempted for so long. I like that they give the option to order half sized rolls so you can try more than one. This was a really neat experience and a first time at a revolving sushi place. There's a conveyor that runs the bulk of the restaurant and sushi is on 4 different colored plates, each a different price. The sushi are half rolls so you can try a wide variety of flavors before filling up on just a few. The conveyor belt has everything, appetizers, some drinks, chef specials, sushi, sashimi, and desserts. Each divider has a description so you can see what you're getting tho the menu has most of the descriptions as well. As a spot opens up, when the spot reaches the chefs, they fill in the gaps. My spouse and I had 6 plates each and ended up full for a VERY reasonable price. Servers bring liquor or one of the 2 soups available. Perfect for work lunch because you could get in and out pretty quickly. Would totally come back again. Highly recommend Shaggy Dog, Hawaii roll, and spicy shrimp & crab! Couple of notes: 1) not too many options to eat if you don't like sushi, so keep in mind for picky eaters. 2) not sure how they track if something has been on the conveyor belt too long. The belt isn't chilled and the only concern I would have is if something sat circling for a few hours. read more

This place is right by my fams house and I guess they've been coming here weekly, so I finally joined in on their Friday tradition since they opened back up. I will definitely be back with them soon!! Since we can't dine there right now we took home a bunch of sushi and it was sooo good I couldn't stop eating it. We got rainbow roll, nigiri, spicy tuna, Phili, mamma Mia, fire salmon, fire tuna and some miso soup. All so good! The customer service is always awesome too! Service is always awesome. I think its the son who mainly helps with service but hes very attentive and polite. I do wish there was more though. I mean that in a way where the supply and demand comes in. Depending on where you sit youll get first dibs. And to go or take out orders come first vs if youve already been sitting there waiting for the same ol same ol to float by you. Thats the only downside. This place is great! I try to come here at least once a week. Food is fresh, staff is kind and accommodating, the entire restaurant is CLEAN and beautiful. The bathrooms are really clean and nice. It's a great spot for a quick meal, or to stay and dine a while with friends and family. The owner Michael is hands-on, always greet guests as they walk in the door, and always thanks them on the way out. It is great when we don't have a lot of time because you can sit down and everyone can start eating what they like immediately.
