So I was riding with a friend the other night to help negotiate a new car and we ended up on Bell Road at the Ford dealership. While we were sitting there for the typical four hour negotiation., I opened up my phone and looked for something to eat, and up popped Pick and Roll. All of the reviews sounded almost unbelievable, but because I was really in the mood for sushi, I decided to try them out. Boy, am I glad I decided to listen to the reviews on this one. This place is fantastic! This restaurant is fairly decent sized, located between a Mexican restaurant and ironically, a Panda Express (not sure why you would go to Panda when this is MUCH better and equally affordable). The dining room is well lit with about 10 to 12 tables and resembles a chipotle in terms of ordering process that funnels customers to the register. I ordered the smoked salmon roll, the spicy salmon roll, and a poke bowl. And on each one, the amount of ingredients and overall portion sizes far exceed what you typically expect for a sub $10 price point. My Poke Bowl was really exceptional and the purple rice is legit! It did feel and taste a little more starchy than regular white sushi rice but I liked it. Evidently they have two locations, with another location in Central Scottsdale. This will definitely be one of my go to sushi spots in the valley. read more

Been wanting to try Pick n' Roll for a while, and I'm so glad I did tonight!!! I decided to be a lazy and order some delivery tonight, and I'm so glad I chose this spot. The food was delicious. Great amount of food for a reasonable price. I loved the golden cali roll. Yum! By the time the food got to me, the roll was still crispy on the outside which I really appreciated. They're heavy on the sauce also which I loveee! Lol and apps I got were tasty too. I will DEFINITELY go visit them in person because I want to try one of their poke bowls. I found this restaurant called Pick N Roll that serves the most delicious, freshest, enormous sushi rolls I've ever had. They have two locations. One in Moon Valley and one in Scottsdale. We ordered a Poké bowl and three huge sushi rolls and barely broke $40. The quality was excellent, and the rolls tasted great even as leftovers (the portions were so big we couldn't finish at all). About a 2 months ago I ordered a poke bowl and I ate about 1/4 of it before I started noticing the tuna smelled off. I immediately stopped eating and threw out the rest of my bowl. A few hours later I was violently sick with food poisoning for the next 12 hours. Yesterday my son was visiting from out of state and randomly chose Pick N' Roll for a poke bowl without knowing anything about my prior food poisoning. A few hours after finishing his bowl he came down with food poisoning which is when I found out what and where he ate lunch. 3.5* Ordered a poke bowl to go with salmon and tuna and almost all of the toppings on a base of mixed greens and purple rice. It was good, nothing earth shattering. I'd go back and try something different but if I'm in the mood for sushi, I would try other more traditional places nearby. Best poke around! The poke bowl is cheap, so filling, and packed full of goodness. You really get the best bag for your buck here! There is a large table in the middle of the dining space, so it was great for getting the girls together with our newborns every Friday after our mom group. The service is quick and friendly. I usually just get a bowl, but sometimes my eyes are too big for my stomach and I order gyoza, edamame or a Vegas roll. All have been delicious! read more

These folks are so nice! They love our daughters too which is fun to watch. This fast casual spot is very inviting and family friendly. It was complete chance that I was able to stop by here to get some dinner on the way home from an appointment in this area. I am glad I made the visit! I love the order forms and with my frequent indecisiveness, I can sit down nearby and take my time filling out what I want without holding up the line. Speaking of lines, it was completely empty when I arrived around 5pm yesterday (Friday) to my surprise. I thought it would be a little bit busier but maybe that happened later after I left. This place is spacious, open, and clean. My order was ready pretty fast too but that may be because I was the only person there and what I ordered was very easy/quick to make. I ended up ordering a poke bowl and gyozas. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Next visit, I will get some sushi rolls. I did really consider ordering some but ended up passing as I didn't want to bring home a bunch of food I couldn't finish in a day and sushi rolls are something I have to eat pretty fresh shortly after being made. Not sure when I'll be visiting again as I'm not in this area of town regularly but I would love to come back. read more

So I really wanted to love this place but it was just ok (the sushi roll I had was 10/10 though get to that later)...the staff was really nice and helpful cuz for me it was a little confusing... you have to fill out a order slip without seeing the actual items and I didn't really like that for example I added jalapeño but they were pickled, not fresh, which is what I was expecting. I would have rather picked at the window instead...the place was clean and the actual food was fresh! I ordered alot for research purposes only...lol the shrimp were well cooked just not seasoned at all...like the batter needed salt...the dumplings were typical nothing to fancy the bowl was okay just some items in it I didn't ask for like corn...yuck...lol but the fish was Really good , the burrito was the same. I've always ordered through doordash, so I never saw how they handle their food during preparation. This time I ordered online and picked it up myself. The order was not ready when I got there but I got to see how they prepare it. It was so disappointing to see that the young lady wiped the counter with a wet rag then turned around and without utensils reached into the pot of rice. She didn't change her glove and with that same hand she just grabbed the rice and started preparing a bowl. Why didn't she change the glove? What's the point of having a box full of gloves if they use only one to handle food and clean dirty surfaces. While I was waiting a family walked in and immediately walked out I heard the mom say it smelled bad, which was true. I was already regretting my order but I didn't want to cause a fuss and ruin other patrons lunch. The rolls were not good, they tasted like wet rag, the edamame was covered in salt, I rinsed them when I got home. I wasted 26 dollars because I threw it away. I can't risk food poisoning. Please stay away. It was not a good experience, I will not be coming back. read more

If you choose to go to this business, I would recommend the Southfield location location because they are using the correct recipe for the rice. The Phoenix recipe is all wrong. It's fake. They're adding white rice to the purple rice. I just experienced for the first time with Pick/ roll over off of Bell.... please make sure you go to the Scottsdale business. I come here at least once a week to pick mobile orders for myself and coworkers! Orders are always correct, on time, and easy to pickup. Been here a few times and it's a good spot you can definitely get your fix here. Only reason for the 3 stars is because they don't follow their posted hours. Shouldn't have them if they aren't going to apply them. I showed up at 830 and they were already closed, doors locked. I drive out of my way to come here so it's a bit annoying to waste my time. Pick n Roll should make it a point for their customers to call before or advise on your website that you close early if you run out of supplies or something of that nature. If you already do and I simply didn't see it then I apologize and will remove my review but otherwise I gotta stick to it. Your customers time is important too. I love this place! It is not much of a dine in place. They do have tables and serve yourself drinks, it is a clean and comfortable place to enjoy your food. My favorite thing to order is the ahi sushi burrito. I wasn't sure what to order but with their help I ordered the sushi burrito, half and half, edamame, cucumber, fresh, tuna, green onion, poke sauce, ponzu sauce, eel sauce. It is fresh and filling. I was starving so I ordered a poke bowl with two proteins and a sushi roll (Vegas Roll I believe). The food was ready in less than 10 minutes! When I looked in, there was so much food- their portions are big! They ARE NOT skimpy with their food like some sushi place around the corner having you pay $60 for baby rolls.
