Been wanting to try Pick n' Roll for a while, and I'm so glad I did tonight!!! I decided to be a lazy and order some delivery tonight, and I'm so glad I chose this spot. The food was delicious. Great amount of food for a reasonable price. I loved the golden cali roll. Yum! By the time the food got to me, the roll was still crispy on the outside which I really appreciated. They're heavy on the sauce also which I loveee! Lol and apps I got were tasty too. I will DEFINITELY go visit them in person because I want to try one of their poke bowls. I can also tell that their service is great because they gave me exactly what I needed with my order. read more

3.5* Ordered a poke bowl to go with salmon and tuna and almost all of the toppings on a base of mixed greens and purple rice. It was good, nothing earth shattering. I'd go back and try something different but if I'm in the mood for sushi, I would try other more traditional places nearby. This is more of a fast /casual, order at the counter chipotle style sushi joint, which is great if you're looking for something quick for lunch and/or takeout. read more

About a 2 months ago I ordered a poke bowl and I ate about 1/4 of it before I started noticing the tuna smelled off. I immediately stopped eating and threw out the rest of my bowl. A few hours later I was violently sick with food poisoning for the next 12 hours. Yesterday my son was visiting from out of state and randomly chose Pick N' Roll for a poke bowl without knowing anything about my prior food poisoning. A few hours after finishing his bowl he came down with food poisoning which is when I found out what and where he ate lunch. I would definitely not recommend eating anything with raw fish from this restaurant. read more

HEAR YE!! HEAR YE!!! CALLING ALL SUSHI LOVERS!!! I struck gold over the weekend!! I found this restaurant called Pick N Roll that serves the most delicious, freshest, enormous sushi rolls I've ever had. They have two locations. One in Moon Valley and one in Scottsdale. We ordered a Poké bowl and three huge sushi rolls and barely broke $40. The quality was excellent, and the rolls tasted great even as leftovers (the portions were so big we couldn't finish at all). I loved it so much, I had to write this review. 10/10. Highly recommend. read more

Las Vegas roll was to die for! I ended up with all fried options and all were good. Vegas roll, tempura veggies and gyoza. I'll have to go back to try a sushi Burrito. Best poke around! The poke bowl is cheap, so filling, and packed full of goodness. You really get the best bag for your buck here! There is a large table in the middle of the dining space, so it was great for getting the girls together with our newborns every Friday after our mom group. The service is quick and friendly. I usually just get a bowl, but sometimes my eyes are too big for my stomach and I order gyoza, edamame or a Vegas roll. All have been delicious! read more

These folks are so nice! They love our daughters too which is fun to watch. This fast casual spot is very inviting and family friendly. This place is amazing. The owner is a real gem. Extremely courteous and knowledgeable. To say the the food is amazing is an understatement. Not only is it great, it's also inexpensive. I try to make it in at least once a week. The place is very clean. Great music playing. Note to all my Veteran family, the owners son who is a member of our community. It was complete chance that I was able to stop by here to get some dinner on the way home from an appointment in this area. I am glad I made the visit! I love the order forms and with my frequent indecisiveness, I can sit down nearby and take my time filling out what I want without holding up the line. Speaking of lines, it was completely empty when I arrived around 5pm yesterday (Friday) to my surprise. I thought it would be a little bit busier but maybe that happened later after I left. This place is spacious, open, and clean. My order was ready pretty fast too but that may be because I was the only person there and what I ordered was very easy/quick to make. I ended up ordering a poke bowl and gyozas. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Next visit, I will get some sushi rolls. I did really consider ordering some but ended up passing as I didn't want to bring home a bunch of food I couldn't finish in a day and sushi rolls are something I have to eat pretty fresh shortly after being made. Not sure when I'll be visiting again as I'm not in this area of town regularly but I would love to come back. read more

So I really wanted to love this place but it was just ok (the sushi roll I had was 10/10 though get to that later)...the staff was really nice and helpful cuz for me it was a little confusing... you have to fill out a order slip without seeing the actual items and I didn't really like that for example I added jalapeño but they were pickled, not fresh, which is what I was expecting. I would have rather picked at the window instead...the place was clean and the actual food was fresh! I ordered alot for research purposes only...lol the shrimp were well cooked just not seasoned at all...like the batter needed salt...the dumplings were typical nothing to fancy the bowl was okay just some items in it I didn't ask for like corn...yuck...lol but the fish was Really good , the burrito was the same. This place is so delicious!! My husband found this restaurant online and we had to come try it despite living 25 min away. I've always ordered through doordash, so I never saw how they handle their food during preparation. This time I ordered online and picked it up myself. The order was not ready when I got there but I got to see how they prepare it. It was so disappointing to see that the young lady wiped the counter with a wet rag then turned around and without utensils reached into the pot of rice. She didn't change her glove and with that same hand she just grabbed the rice and started preparing a bowl. Why didn't she change the glove? What's the point of having a box full of gloves if they use only one to handle food and clean dirty surfaces. While I was waiting a family walked in and immediately walked out I heard the mom say it smelled bad, which was true. I was already regretting my order but I didn't want to cause a fuss and ruin other patrons lunch. The rolls were not good, they tasted like wet rag, the edamame was covered in salt, I rinsed them when I got home. I wasted 26 dollars because I threw it away. I can't risk food poisoning. Please stay away. It was not a good experience, I will not be coming back. read more

If you choose to go to this business, I would recommend the Southfield location location because they are using the correct recipe for the rice. The Phoenix recipe is all wrong. It's fake. They're adding white rice to the purple rice. I just experienced for the first time with Pick/ roll over off of Bell.... please make sure you go to the Scottsdale business. When I called to speak with the manager, the young lady hung up on me. read more

This is one of my restaurants here in Phoenix. Every thing is top notch. i usually order a bowl. You build your own bowl with ingredients you choose and some of the choices are as many as you want. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. The restaurant is immaculately clean. It's run by a local family and they always recognize me and remember my name. Their food is very affordable and that's a big plus too. read more

Been here a few times and it's a good spot you can definitely get your fix here. Only reason for the 3 stars is because they don't follow their posted hours. Shouldn't have them if they aren't going to apply them. I showed up at 830 and they were already closed, doors locked. I drive out of my way to come here so it's a bit annoying to waste my time. Pick n Roll should make it a point for their customers to call before or advise on your website that you close early if you run out of supplies or something of that nature. If you already do and I simply didn't see it then I apologize and will remove my review but otherwise I gotta stick to it. Your customers time is important too. Again, food is good, I will be back for sure and if you're reading this definitely still give this place a shot. Currently I'm just disappointed. read more

It's Monday 1:10pm, parked in front of property, flashing sign "OPEN", must have called atleast 3 times, all 3 occasions NO ONE ever answered the phone, no voicemail, no nothing! I come here at least once a week to pick mobile orders for myself and coworkers! Orders are always correct, on time, and easy to pickup. I get the poke bowl with fresh salmon and it never disappoints! I have also tried their sushi rolls and the fried sushi corndog looking thing. Everything is delicious and tastes fresh!! I love this place! It is not much of a dine in place. They do have tables and serve yourself drinks, it is a clean and comfortable place to enjoy your food. My favorite thing to order is the ahi sushi burrito. I wasn't sure what to order but with their help I ordered the sushi burrito, half and half, edamame, cucumber, fresh, tuna, green onion, poke sauce, ponzu sauce, eel sauce. It is fresh and filling. Yuzu & rainbow rolls had super appetizing sauces. Ordered the uni from Japan which was supposed to be sweeter than creamier but this one was very distasteful for me, had a strong scent like saliva, and I was unable to tolerate it.

Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

How It Works: As you walk in, there's a bar-style counter with menus along the wall, where you build your meal step-by-step. I'll admit I was a little confused at first--was this a sushi place, poke spot, or something else entirely? Turns out it's kind of a fusion concept, like Mexican-style burritos or bowls filled with sushi ingredients. It's unique and different, and once you get the hang of the menu sheets, it starts to make sense. Food & Portion Size: Portions are massive. I ordered a tuna burrito and couldn't even finish it because they gave me so much tuna. It was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the price. They also offer other items like gyoza and udon, which gives you more variety beyond the main sushi-burrito concept. Cleanliness & Amenities: The overall space was clean, and tables were wiped down regularly. The bathroom was a bit dated, but not terrible--definitely usable, just not modern or updated.
