Came here on a Sunday for lunch, service was on the slow side for it being pretty empty. We ordered quit a few things and shared. They actually had the best takoyaki, not pictured....it was that good! We also ordered the rainbow roll, Oh My God roll, eel nigiri, and the toro nigiri. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious not to mention that everything on the menu was fairly priced.

Came here because we wanted to support local and have some tasty sushi. Nagoya had good reviews and is on the west side so I was a happy camper with that already. The restaurant is bigger than you think as you walk in. You enter and the kitchen and chefs are to the left and dining straight on, and you can keep walking to the back for more tables. We walked to the back as the front was full (good sign for a Friday night!). Our server came and grabbed our drink order and we had some seaweed salad as a small entry. Then ordered a few rolls and nagiri - tuna and white fish and the tuna was superb!!! The toppings they put on that were so perfectly complimenting of the fish... SO GOOD. Won't come again without making sure to order that. Appreciate that it was served with the ginger and wasabi, although didn't have low sodium soy sauce at the table (I could have asked for I think but I didn't). Pretty good prices and they have all day happy hour for some items which is fantastic of course. Left feeling satisfied and enjoyed. I'll definitely be back.

I came here around 3:15 pm on a Friday and got seated right away. The server brought us the menu and drinks quickly, and placed our appetizers without delay. We ordered the miso ramen, poke bowl, sashimi salad, oasis roll, vegas roll, and California roll. I have an avocado allergy, and the server was very kind and ensured that none of our food contained avocado, even informing the chef to be extra cautious. Overall, the food was good. The fish was fresh and came out quickly. The ramen noodles were a bit overcooked for me, but the soup was still tasty. The ambience of the place was welcoming and laid-back, that made for a comfortable dining experience. The lighting was soft, creating a relaxing vibe, perfect for a midday meal or catching up with friends.

So we stopped into this sushi place when we're down in the Peoria area. It's not a huge place and seem pretty standard for a sushi restaurant. The decor was nothing special but clean. We arrived on a Saturday evening and we're promptly seated. Before we could even pick up the menu a waiter came over and asked us if we were ready to order. When I have sushi, I like to take my time a little bit, so that was slightly annoying. I would at least like to order beverages first. We ordered some sake and browsed the menu. We decided to order some nigiri first and then wait to order the rolls after we have received that. One order of tuna, salmon and eel. When that part of the meal came, we finished that off pretty quickly. Wow, they put a decent amount of wasabi under the fish, which gives it quite a kick, but it was good.. During this time, more than one waiter asked us if we were ready to order and we said we would as soon as we finished the nigiri. It definitely felt like they were rushing us. Once we were ready to order, we decided on five rolls to split between the three of us. The Godzilla roll, the Oh My God roll, the popcorn, lobster roll, H3 roll and cherry blossom roll. The H3 was by far my favorite. The cherry blossom and Godzilla took second place and the other two weren't my cup of tea. The Oh My God roll is brought out on aluminum foil and lit on fire for 30 seconds or so, which unfortunately gave it an aluminum aftertaste which nobody found appealing. I would not get that again. Maybe they flamed it a little too long. The popcorn lobster roll was a basic roll covered in fried lobster pieces, which was OK, but not what I was expecting. The prices are reasonable but with so many options in the area, I'll probably try somewhere else next time I'm down in Phoenix.

Love this place, it's our favorite sushi place, and we've tried loads is places. The atmosphere too is comfortable, a little more upscale without the price tag. Try an scallop roll, the spring roll and the fried rice

Delicious sushi, great staff, affordable prices, and HUGE portions!! It's a small hidden gem that's great for outings and even family dinners. They provide you a menu that you can order from which is super helpful and lists what type of filling is in each sushi dish. There's a wide selection of sushi and a good amount of drinks to choose from. The gentlemen who served us was polite and attentive, I think one of the chefs even served the food so it made the experience even better. Definitely will come back, 10/10

This place is amazing. The food is delicious! From the Ramen to the Sushi! I love coming here. The only reason I didnt drop a full 5 stars was because we kind of felt rushed on our last visit. The waitress would take away plates and utensils if she felt we were not using them even though we just had not gotten to them at the moment. Otherwise, this place is highly recommended!

The sushi rolls were very well prepared with fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the spicy edamame. I'm had more flavorful, plain edamme than what they serve up a spicy here. Nonetheless, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The food arrived at the table in a timely manner. The chef sent a complimentary dish to the table. That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Accessible parking and entrance.

I am a regular here and I am disappointed. I've never made a review. When it comes to a great place I highly recommend I've been selfish to share, but if you're looking for great sushi in Arizona of all places check this place out the people are great. The food is great and I'm not exaggerating when I say I go there every week. Love the owners. You'll regret it if you don't go. They are the best.

Great food and nice cozy atmosphere. 100 percent unassuming from the outside, the inside is simply decorated and not over the top. I enjoyed my chirashi. I thought it was a generous portion of sashimi on top! The service was a little bit lacking. The service wasn't very clear at times and we were a bit confused a time or two.

So we decided on Ah-So and so blown away. First we were greeted and got to pick where ever we wanted to sit which was great, but we didn't expect the stream with Fish!! It was so cool to see that! We loved it. We always love seeing an attraction like this so it already bumped it up. Secondly I havent been into any Miso soups lately no matter where I have gone, it just hasn't done it for me. This changed today. I enjoyed and loved the taste of the tofu behind my combo meal, Dad also got one. I got the Chicken Katsu and Dad got the Teriyaki Chicken combo. We hadn't expected the miso soup to be added to it so that was a plus. The food was amazing! Dad loved the grilled taste and how the vegetables were grilled with the chicken and you could taste it. I loved the tempura and the crunch of the Katsu. All in all amazing. Something we really loved was the fact that it feels comfortable here. The set up of the restaurant made us so relaxed and it didn't feel too modern or pretentious it just was perfect like going to the local Japanese place in Japan. Highly highly recommend. The lunch combos were also all 18 bucks even on weekends! We will be back to try the teppanyaki and the teriyaki salmon when we are able.

Service was pretty standard, no fake pleasantries but not rude at all. We both got the Tonkatsu ramen combo with a drink and 2 dumplings. The ramen was a little salty, but the soup was very flavorful with nice depth. Definitely would eat it again. It had pork which was okay, not tough but nothing remarkable. The noodles tasted pretty good, not over cooked with a decent chew to it. It came with corn and a soft boiled egg. The soft boiled egg was so good I should have ordered extra. It was cooked exactly how you'd want it to be for your bowl of ramen. The place was pretty good, I'd definitely come back again and try new items. It closes at 8 but I guess they stop ordered at 7:15, so don't try to stop in super late. Also, the parking lot has signs that say no backing in. That's how I like to park so I parked nearby. The restaurant itself is definitely on the smaller side but they also have outdoor dining as an option. This is what one would call a hidden gem because we were definitely not disappointed as we were walking away. Once you sit down you'll realize that this is a restaurant where you're having several random servers taking care of you. We started with some pork gyozas which is one of my husband's favorites & he was happily pleased... they were very fresh. We also had some of the tempura shrimp & onion which were both perfectly cooked without being greasy. As for the sushi we went with the shrimp tempura roll which was some of the best, the rice was cooked perfect plus everything was balanced just right. Then we also had the spider roll which I just loved because I love soft shell crab... OMG with the avocado & cream cheese, there were zero complaints on my end! We booked a reservation for a large group requiring two hibachi tables/chefs at Ah-So Sushi & Steak…read morein Peoria on a Monday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy at all with plenty of open tables and no crowds so we were surprised and disappointed when the hostess refused to seat us until every single member of our party had arrived, even though we had a confirmed reservation. A few people were running slightly late, but holding the entire group and two full hibachi setups felt overly rigid, especially on a quiet weekday. Their policy appears to allow only a short grace period, I've since seen mentions of about 10 minutes for the full party, but this wasn't clearly communicated upfront when we reserved, and it led to unnecessary waiting in the lobby. Once everyone finally arrived and we were seated, the initial service was strong: our waiter was attentive, quickly took drink and appetizer orders, and brought everything out promptly. The appetizers and drinks were solid, and the vibe of the hibachi tables is always fun with the flames, knife tricks, and chef performance. However, things went downhill from there due to the split tables. One table's group was seated and ready about 20 minutes before the second table. One chef started their full performance and cooking sequence early, while the other table waited and waited for their chef to begin. It created an awkward imbalance: half the party was eating hot food and enjoying the show while the other half sat hungry, watching from across the way. It would have been much better if the restaurant had coordinated the chefs to start simultaneously or at least closer together, especially since they knew it was one large reservation. The food itself was good standard hibachi fare with fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and generous portions but the uneven timing detracted from the overall enjoyment for our group. We were hoping for a cohesive, celebratory experience, but the logistics made it feel disjointed. Overall, the food and early service get points, but the strict seating policy on a slow night and lack of coordination for split hibachi tables left us frustrated. I'd think twice about bringing a big group here again unless you're okay with potential delays

Haru is a nice alternative that is much closer and offers an omakase plate that rivals some of the best sushi you can find in Torrance/LA. The pricing of this omakase is steep at $70 for 8pcs of premium fish plus a toro roll but worthwhile for a special occasion or to get your fix. Pricing on their happy hour seems pretty reasonable as well which is most weekdays until 6pm. Pricing on the rest of the menu is fair but doesnt quite exceed expectations in terms of value for money, especially compared to Sushi Sen. My mom, who is an incredibly tough critic, really enjoyed the soft shell crab tempura and said it wasn't oily or greasy. I have to agree. I enjoyed their "tuna cracker" which is like spicy tuna crispy rice at most other restaurants. Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.
