First time here, saw some of my Yelp friends have been here. I had the spicy Raman Noodles with 4 California rolls. Place was clean, I was one of two dining in for lunch. Service was acceptable, food was very good. I have been to a few Sushi places within the Valley, but somewhat infrequent. Kind of got a lukewarm customer friendly vibe here. I haven't been to Sushi Plus on feels like forever we as I'm not in the area much these days. However today I met with my sis to have some of their spicy ramen. It's still a favorite of mine here. We add chicken and it's perfect. We also orders two Arizona Rolls, and Idaho and California Roll. Everything was pretty good, but I miss how cold the sushi was here with previous owners. Flavors are still good and good size rolls for the price. They also offer happy hour specials that are great during the week. Service was good. Still worth a stop all these years later. read more

The sushi is fresh but wow the prices do not match the online menu. $36 is too steep for 2 rolls...I ordered a Washington and an Oklahoma roll (see pics) and spent almost $40...other sushi places I have been to with similar quality have all-you-can-eat prices for less than this. read more

The coolest thing about this place is that they have a speciality roll named after all 50 states. I find it impressive that someone can think of fifty different rolls to have on one menu. I've been a couple times and tried the Delaware, South Dakota, and New Hampshire rolls, along with their spring roll appetizer. I did like the taste of all of them but they were nothing revolutionary. I got the Delaware twice so I'd say that was my favorite. The rolls generally feature 2-3 ingredients and a variety of sauces, along with varying in price from $6 - $16. They also have a few lunch specials where you can get a basic roll and bowl of udon - pretty affordable if you're craving both. I called to place my order when i was on camelback and the 17, surely giving them enough time to make my order. Well the guy taking the orders picked and said, "Sushi Plus please hold" and never picked up the phone again. I literally walked in the restaurant while still on hold. When i let him know i was on hold he said he was busy, but there were literally only 3 tables occupied. I let him know I was holding for 15 minutes and he said, "I'm not here to argue with you what are you ordering?". Sushi Plus is located in Glendale. This sushi restaurant offers sushi, appetizers, noodle dishes, entrees, a few salads, bento boxes, a kids menu, sake, wine and more. This restaurant has a 4.5 average on Yelp so I thought it would be a nice place for sushi and other dishes and it's in a good location for me. We wanted to start out by sharing a sushi combo plate but we waited about 30 minutes for our entrees that came out first. I tried the curry rice with vegetables and chicken. The sauce had it's own skin on the top. Some of the chicken in it had a weird unappetizing texture. It was like biting threw an over cooked chicken gizzard......it just wasn't right. I had to spit out several pieces of chicken. I was afraid to eat chicken but I only had chicken and rice in my bowl. I think they microwaved the bowl because it was super hot in certain places. My bowl also didn't have vegetables like the menu described. My server didn't even ask how it was. My husband had the spicy chicken.....This is why I gave two stars instead of one star. The spicy chicken was ok.........a little flat but ok. We thought that it was weird that our sushi came out when we were done eating the entrees. Some of the sushi was substandard today. The salmon was served warm and dried out. The tuna wasn't the freshest and did taste fishy. Our server didn't even ask if we wanted boxes to bring all the uneaten food home. I stopped in on a Tuesday evening. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant. So, yes service was slow. I ordered edamame, a roll, and chicken & shrimp teriyaki. It was definitely worth the wait and made it for what was lacking in service for being short staffed. Yum-yum! They also have soda, tea, and beer for purchase. Ok I found a new sushi spot and there's that! Today was my 6year olds birthday and he wanted sushi as his lunch option...ok fine. I thought it would be cute to ride past the hospital he was born at (Banner Thunderbird) and this gem of a sushi spot is right across the street from there. Let me start by saying it's super cute and they play K-pop tunes to really get you in the feel of things. We ordered the spicy seafood udon noodles and spicy ramen, California roll, Maine roll, and Massachusetts roll. Everything was AH-MAY-ZINNNNGGGG. I want to love Sushi Plus. I really want to love it. The food is always delicious, but the experience is always just so average (or below) when it comes to customer service. Even with the updated menus, they've retained a lot of good food. They have a wonderful selection of sushi, with 50 specialty corresponding to different states. I've tried many and they are delicious! My partner enjoyed the honey sesame chicken. A five dollar upcharge for fried rice on entrees is steep, though. The ambience is clean and is decorated. There's a big tv over the sushi bar where you can catch a game. Every time we have come, there's one or two other tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Service is slow and not terribly attentive. Once you order the food will take a long time to come out, particularly if part of your party orders dishes instead of sushi. Getting a refill is also difficult, only because they do not come by often to check in. In the future, I'll stick to take out for the sushi (since the kitchen is always slow). Come for the food, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are in a hurry. read more

You will love this family owned restaurant. All of the dishes were delicious. The service is super friendly for in dinning. You can certainly order take out as well. Karen our server was super quick and friendly. I was happy to learn owners are a Korean family who make delicious food. In fact it was lunch time for them and since they got a break from customers they all sat down to have lunch along side us. So cool to see a family working and eating together. The ice green tea is surprisingly refreshing and super healthy. We always measure a Japanese restaurant by its miso soup. If the miso is good usually the food will follow an equally delicious path. And it sure was yummy. The decor inside the dining room is contemporary with a hint of classic Asian decor. It's inviting for great meal. Ordered chicken teriyaki with fried rice, an extra 6.99 BTW. The fried rice was the worst I ever had. It was basically sushi rice with soy sauce. Fried rice is no made with sushi rice. We ordered the sesame orange chicken which was enough for two people and got the garlic edamame which I felt like they were over-boiled but not terrible, the salmon cream cheese roll though was yum! Lol. ) I noticed you didn't tell the other black business woman goodbye or thank you either. I am thankful to commend and uplift Beautiful People. And to correct & call out Ugly People - ALL 2024. I had a beef Bibimbap bowl and my wife had California rolls covered with Panko and eel sauce and an order of what I would call jalapeño poppers, jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese and deep-fried. She said everything she had was delicious. I really enjoyed the Bibimbap. The vegetables were all fresh and crisp. In an effort to help support local businesses, my wife and I placed an Uber Eats order this evening and tried Sushi Plus. I can't comment on the physical location of the restaurant, but I can certainly comment on the food. Yayyyy! First, there were plenty of napkins and chopsticks that accompanied our order which I really appreciated! My wife and I opted to share an order of gyoza + vegetable / shrimp tempura + their 8-piece sushi combo with their side of a spicy tuna roll. Holy freshness! (the fluorescent lighting in our kitchen did absolutely no justice to the food we were given so please don't judge the awful lighting in my photos) The gyoza was hot and as fresh as could be. Extremely flavorful AND we were given plenty of spicy dipping sauce which again, I really appreciated. The tempura batter was light just as it should be and not caked on like pancake batter in some local Japanese restaurants. The vegetables were assorted and fresh and the shrimp were really good tempura size! The sushi... extremely fresh and also very flavorful. The spicy tuna in the spicy tuna roll wasn't mush like it is some local restaurants. The salmon, maguro, unagi and himachi were very good. They were obviously made fresh for our order and wouldn't hesitate to order delivery from them again. Again, I cannot comment on restaurant or dine-in service as our order was delivered. Sorry! Menu; Baked Scallop roll is one of my absolute favorite things to order, and it seem that every place serves it a bit differently. I have to say this was one of my all time favorites, holy moly is was delicious. I would highly recommend, one roll and you will not need another. This place seemed to get good ratings so I was excited to try this place. There is an array of food in their selection, ranging from Korean, Japanese and Chinese. But it turned out to be a disappointment. My group tried a few different items ( Note that we did not get any sushi) Jajangmyeun- was under-whelming. The noodles were a little unusual. They were cold and rubbery. We could not mix the noodles with the sauce because they were stuck together. Curry- was decent but pretty much the typical curry with the prepackaged sauce mix so you can't really mess that up. The meat was at least tender. Ramen-was really basic and a big let down. The broth tasted like a soup mix out of the packet, not the delicious slow pork rendered broth that it is supposed to be. The egg was hard boiled, not even soft boiled and not seasoned. Fried Cheesecake- this was a sweet treat. But the topping was basic. We didn't get any sushi rolls which may have been our downfall, but if the other items were not that good, then I'm not inclined to try the other menu items. But like most Asian places, not all dishes are a winner, so you have to find that one or two dishes that are their knock outs. Maybe I had my expectations high, but everything is just average. Not a bad place to stop in for something to fill up. But in my book, Sushi Plus is a sushi minus. A place that has too many varieties of ethnic food should have been the first sign. This is now my 3rd time coming here for lunch with my mom.(she's a regular) Super cool that they have a roll for each state. Might be making a goal to try each one of these rolls in the future.
