Heart attack
Rosie B.

Haru Sushi was so good! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was the sweetest and friendliest, which made the whole experience even better. I loved the atmosphere and decor, such a great vibe throughout the restaurant. We ordered the Heart Attack appetizer, which was super tasty, and the chicken katsu was delicious. Everything we tried was great, and we're already excited to come back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant... look no further! This place is perfect for date night or even just a casual lunch. This is the ONLY place we consistently come back to for sushi in all of Arizona. We are here at least twice a month and the food here is always fresh! Just remember you're paying for quality! The tuna poke bowl and sear salmon roll is a must every time! I like ordering spicy ponzu or spicy mayo on the side for the poke bowl. We try to order at least one new item and this time it was the omakase nigiri combo. Compliments to the chef 10/10 every time!!

Decided to come here randomly for lunch and I'm glad I did (: I was the first one there for the day lol the staff was nice and the food was prepared really fast! The sushi was SO fresh and yummy. Definitely worth the try if you want good sushi. There was also a lot of lunch specials you could choose from.

My favorite and the best sushi spot on the west side. Small restaurant, inside and outside seating available, service is always great and fast. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I keep going back. Made fresh and you have a view of the chefs from inside. Genuinely a must stop!

Still my favorite sushi spot years later! Freshness Matters Being from Hawaiʻi, I know what real fresh fish tastes like -- and Haru never disappoints. I have never ordered sushi here that wasn't exceptional. Every roll, every piece, always top quality. Service & Atmosphere The service is consistently great, and I love that they're tucked into the corner of a shopping center. Inside, it's calm and cozy -- perfect for a romantic date or a relaxed family dinner ‍‍‍. Appetizers to Crave The gyoza here is bomb -- and the sauce? Hands down the best I've ever had. I honestly want to pour it on everything . The agadashi tofu and seaweed salad are also amazing. Hot Entrees Donkatsu and Korean beef are always flavorful and satisfying. Whether I'm in the mood for a hot dish or sushi, I leave happy (and full). The Vibe I love the low lighting and the beautiful sushi presentation -- it makes you feel a little fancy every time your food arrives. Bottom line: Whether you're here for rolls, apps, or entrees, everything at Haru Sushi is consistently amazing.

We went tonight and ate at the sushi bar! The sushi bar is the best because you get your rolls quick and hand delivered :) Haru is our place for sushi, they always are consistent and their fish always tastes fresh. The sushi chefs are great! This is a family owned place and they truly appreciate your business. Chef Nick was even helping with tables tonight (maybe short staffed for how busy it was? Idk)- but that's pretty cool when an owner/manager can step up and help where it's needed! Plus I think he has shown the sushi chefs some of his skills, so they were set up for success while he stepped away for a few minutes! Feedback to management for weekends: switch up the music playlist! Tonight the music was a little slow. A little too somber for a Saturday night ya know!? It's Saturday night! We needed some up beat party music! Something with some good beats!

The food is very good. The fresh fish is exactly as it should be- fresh. It didn't blow my mind, though. The service was fine and met expectations. Let's talk about the prices. Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.

Nigiri combo A

I was surprised (in a good way) at the quality of the sushi/fish. It was very yummy and the service was good. It was a bit warm inside but other then that the atmosphere was good (nice music) Only negative was the price, bit pricey, but i understand it's expensive to ship seafood into a desert

Tuna Cracker

Wish there was a higher ranking on Yelp for this place. We came in search for great sushi and boy did we find a gem in Glendale! Nestled and hidden spot in a shopping center this place put many sushi joints to shame! I am a huge snob when it comes to sushi but Haru knocked it out of the park and I believe we have found a new favorite sushi spot. The sake is nice and hot and smooth and be sure you order an ice cold beer (my preference is Kirin Light) to chase it! We also tried the Ramune soda pop that was a fun way to enjoy a soda straight from Asia! Our appetizers were garlic chili edamame and the very yummy tuna crackers which are a fried rice and spicy tuna combo style treat. We tried a few different sushi rolls and it was so good we had to ask for a menu to order more! Our waitress was very kind and helpful with suggesting which rolls we would like based on cuts of fish we desired. The feast started off with a spectacular Lobster Fire Roll that is served on a skillet and is literally on fire as it is brought to you. Super awesome presentation. The Seared Salmon Roll, a hearty roll with great flavor and freshness of salmon. We also had the spicy tuna roll, Hawaiian Roll, The Screaming "O", and my favorite of them all was the "Kiss of Fire". I could have had everything on their menu but didn't because then my bill would have been looking like the long receipts you get at CVS. The price is a few bucks higher per roll than what I am used to but to be honest it does not break the bank and is definitely worth it! The kids ended up getting a little bit of mochi ice cream as they offer you one for free if you give them a review! (My wife posted one for them as I needed some good time to post this one once we were done). Thanks for amazing experience and see you guys again soon!

O-toro nigiri

Best sushi in Arizona. 5 stars because it's much better than just 4 stars. O-toro is phenomenal plus excellent sake and beer selection in addition to very high-quality sushi. Owner and chefs are great too!

Dragon Roll

Best sushi EVER!! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back if I ever visit Arizona again.

Seared Albacore Carpaccio 10/10

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Fish was so fresh nothing had a fishy aftertaste the salmon roe was so good I had to more orders of it. I usually ask for extra sauce but the fish was so flavorful and sauce combo was so well put together that u don't even need to ask for extra sauce. Will definitely be coming back here for fresh quality fish when I'm back in Arizona. The yellowtail ceviche was a big time hit and the albacore melted in ur mouth like butter. Great service and great ambiance.

1 Star - Very Disappointing Customer Service…read more I had a very disappointing experience here, mainly because of the poor customer service I received from an employee named Alice. From the moment I tried to get assistance, she came across as rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. What made the experience even more frustrating was that every time I needed assistance, Alice seemed to suddenly become busy with something else, making me feel like I was being intentionally ignored. I understand that employees have responsibilities and can get busy, but there is a difference between genuinely being occupied and making a customer feel like they are a bother. A little courtesy, acknowledgment, and basic professionalism go a long way. Unfortunately, none of that was present during my interaction with Alice. No customer should have to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome simply for asking for assistance. I hope management takes customer service more seriously and addresses this kind of behavior. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of how busy an employee may be. Based on this experience, I left feeling extremely disappointed and would think twice before returning.

The regular menu is pricey depending on what you get. The AYCE menu has a premium ($35.99) and deluxe ($47.99) section. We chose the deluxe menu. The food for AYCE was good. The fish tasted fresh and rich. I loved the salmon, Wagyu, and toro nigiri's. The salmon carpaccio was also delicious. My boyfriend liked the short ribs because of the sauce. He also liked the Takoyaki and my mom had that for the first time which she thought was really good. All the other foods were delicious even the sushi rolls. But unfortunately there were a few cons. First we had to wait 20 mins for a table because they were busy. There is no place inside to sit to wait so we had to stand outside but it was windy that night so it was cold. The host took us to our table but we didn't have anyone to greet us or explain what to do for our first times here. When we called for our waitress she explained the menu that we order from the tablet. Some items you had to order from her and not from the tablet. Some special items you had a cap on order like the Wagyu nigiris. It took a while for our waitress to come to our table because we were sat on the far left of the restaurant and she was busy waiting on tables on the right side. So we constantly had to search for her if we needed something. But this is where my mind was changed. The waitress was very sweet. She apologized for her lack of attention because of how busy it was and recognized it. We saw the sign in the front that they were doing a 10 year anniversary special where if you roll two dice's and get a number 10 the whole meal was free. If you do the math that's a low chance of 8.33%. We told the waitress that we wanted my mom to roll the dices for her bday. We finished our desserts and gave it to her. We were able to record for fun. To our surprise, my mom won! She rolled two 5's which was unbelievable! We were so shocked and excited that our $170 meal was FREE (we provided cash tip of course). The waitress said my mom was lucky. Even though we won, the waitress still was kind enough to give us a pair of nice Yama chopsticks. That was very sweet. From those series of events I decided to give this place a 5 star. The general manager was a funny tall guy and took photos with us after too. I had a wonderful time here despite the cons.

After getting seated, we ordered the gyoza, tempura, and muscles. All were excellent in particular, the gyoza! Fresh, handmade, and just delicious! Overall, it was a nice experience, with good variety in the sushi options and the added benefit of happy hour pricing. The Vegas Roll had an appealing golden, crispy exterior and a generously filled center. The crunchy coating paired with the creamy seafood filling made for a satisfying option, especially if you enjoy sushi rolls with a little extra texture. The Sun-Kissed Roll was a colorful alternative, featuring salmon and avocado that gave it an attractive presentation. It offered a nice contrast to the fried Vegas Roll, making the two a good combination to order together. One of the highlights was visiting during happy hour, which made it easier to enjoy multiple sushi options at a more approachable price point. It's a good way to sample different rolls without paying full dinner prices. The restaurant had a lively bar atmosphere that worked well for a casual sushi outing. The only real downside to our experience was the flies, which were a bit of a nuisance and took away from what was otherwise an enjoyable meal. Aside from that issue, we had a good overall experience.

We sat at the booth closest to the front door - the interior is cute, but looks cheap. The wooden tables are not high end and we were disappointed with this restaurant before we even ordered anything. We ordered miso soup to start - so salty, mushy tofu, did not finish. We ordered two rolls. Both seemed to be a decent serving size, but the pieces were rice heavy. The fish itself seemed.... fishy. Definitely did not taste like real salmon or tuna; we're from a city with fresh seafood, and I'm not surprised that this fish did not taste right. I doubt they get fresh fish flown in and likely use previously frozen items, where you can taste the difference. The wasabi obviously came out of a tube instead of fresh wasabi, another red flag. The only saving grace was their cocktail menu. Come here for drinks and skip the meal, save yourself the disappointment. Based on other reviews, some of their other menu items might make up for the poor sushi, but we will not be returning.

Note: 1) Ika (my personal favorite) is listed both on their website before you come in and even on their printed menu once you are seated in the restaurant, but be aware they do not have any and 2) be extra careful when communicating your order as the waitstaff will make assumptions on your behalf. For example, I asked if they have salmon roe to which the waitstaff said "yes", but when they brought my order to our table they had substituted salmon nigiri in its place offering no explanation nor telling me what to expect, just leaving me to discover it after taking the plastic cover off the plate.

It is an inexpensive dining option, and the conveyor belt offers a variety of small plates, including appetizers, nigiri, and sushi rolls. One thing I like is that you can sample different dishes without having to commit to full-sized rolls like you would at most traditional sushi restaurants. Beyond the conveyor belt, they also have a regular menu featuring bento boxes, ramen, fried rice, and yakisoba, which are freshly prepared in the kitchen. As far as sushi quality goes, it is about what you would expect from most revolving sushi restaurants. You are not coming here for the highest-quality sushi, but rather for the fun and the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. My usual favorites are the Rainbow Roll, eel, and tuna nigiri. On this particular visit, I felt the raw sushi could have been served colder, which was a little off-putting, so I stuck mostly with the cooked sushi options. This is one of the downsides of revolving sushi restaurants since you never really know how long a plate has been circulating on the conveyor belt. Overall, this is a fast and affordable place to dine, especially for sushi beginners. It is worth checking out for the novelty and variety, but given the inconsistent freshness I experienced with the raw sushi, it is not somewhere I would visit frequently.
