Pho Laveen was a great find. The bánh mì was fresh and flavorful, with crispy bread, generous fillings, and the perfect balance of savory and crunchy textures. On the way back to Chandler from Glendale and always wanted to explore Laveen. After reading Pho Laveen's review, I knew immediately that this would be a great start. The visit was overall pleasant. The service was a bit slow and not really flowy. I also was surprised when I asked about the happy hour menu I found online and the servers seemed to be confused and had no clue. Food wise, everything was flavorful. The fried tofu appetizer was nicely seasoned. My vermicelli bowl with beef and spring roll was at the perfect portion size with all the ingredients I expected. My friend's pan fried noodles also came at a decent portion with plenty of colors. We would have stayed for a bit longer and chat more, but this place got busy right at 7 and I felt bad for holding up for 4-top when there were people waiting to be seated. This place by far has some of the best food in the area. After 2 visits there I can say that the best time to come eat here is when you are not in a rush, or already starving. The staff is kind of slow and because the food seems to be made fresh, ordering and receiving your food will take a while. The fried noodles with beef were great both times. I definitely recommend the appetizer sampler. I will say that the spring rolls have a strong mint presence, and the egg rolls may taste a little fishy. The sandwhich was delicious and left nothing to be desired. The yellow chicken curry was good in flavor but needed to be cooked a little longer as we felt it was a little watery for our taste. I love their steak pho, best pho I've had in south phoenix area because it's not too salty or oily. It's literally perfect and hits every time. The appetizers are great too, our usuals are the steamed gyozas, chicken wings, or egg rolls. We started adventuring out to other options on their menu, and tried the lemongrass beef Banh Mi - Vietnamese Sandwich. It was a good choice on a hot day, the bread was a little over toasted but still very good (and not spicy like they might say). My boyfriend ordered a beef plate and he really enjoyed it as well. Some of the best authentic Vietnamese food around, especially given its Location in the Laveen/South Mountain part of Phoenix. They have some vegetarian options including Veggie crispy egg roll (cha gio chay) which is our family favorite. Their spring rolls you can also order with a wide variety of fillings from charbroiled beef to shrimp and bbq pork. Pho is hot and filling and service is always up to par. Their indoor seating area is very small and their outdoor seating is of course too hot for summer time. However, their food is just as good to-go as dine in. The only negative about this place is that they randomly close certain times and appear to have staffing issues. Call ahead to make sure they are open. read more

Wow Pho Laveen is easily one of the top pho spots in Arizona. This is up in my tier 1, and I'm just impressed by the pho. Got the extra large pho tai. Bowl was pretty large but it did come in at a whopping $5 more than the regular size so $18 instead of $13. But man, this pho is one of the best if not the best I've had in Phoenix. Broth is not oily look at the pictures - it's skimmed well. However, it's got great beef taste as well as the pho spice flavor. Really get that cinnamon, star anise, five spiceish flavor at the end of the broth. Noodles were great texture and the broth was hot. PLENTY of meat like really impressed with the serving size (I don't know what the regular looks like since I got extra large for my first time). Also great veggie portions, no skimping on basil or bean sprouts. Great pho spot that I wasn't expecting out in Laveen. Has everything I'm looking for in my bowl of pho. Tried ordering via Door Dash today. We got the recommended Chicken Pho for my wife and I returned to the Orange Chicken. It came to $41.91 plus tip. They didn't charge a delivery fee but still charged the service fee, which was $5. Also, they charge an extra $2 per plate for either to-go or delivery, I'm not sure. Our order was supposed to deliver in 30-40 mins, which was normal. We only live two miles away. It actually arrived in mins. The Pho arrived with a large container of broth, hot and rich. The other container had a boatload of shredded chicken. It wasn't seasoned at all but a little soy sauce fixed that. There was also a large sprig of basil and some GF noodles. My Orange Chicken came with a good portion of protein, a mound of rice and a good collection of cut, steamed vegetables. Everything was as expected and we enjoyed it all. I decided to switch it up to come here for some orange chicken. My fiancé loves to come here for the Pho. From what I hear the Pho is amazing. The orange chicken flavor was yummy but I wish the texture of the chicken was less soggy. Just tried Pho Laveen yesterday, been on my list for some time. My wife and I had a great experience, got seated right away, which was good timing on our part since it is a small seating area. We had the Appetizer Platter - pork egg rolls, crispy shrimp egg roll, fresh spring rolls, and fried chicken wings - all were fantastic. I had the Special Combination Stir-Fried Noodles - rice noodles, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, chicken, beef, and shrimp - and this is now my favorite dish - large portion, so I also took some home. I'm not a fan of pho, so I did not order it the first two times I went here. They have a great menu of items besides pho, so that's awesome. They serve ramen as well. The garlic hot chicken wings were great. Definitely crispy! The combination fried rice is always good and doesn't disappoint. The place is somewhat small, but the gets crowded at times - due to the food being GREAT. This place has a reputation of good food and that's 100% true. Excellent flavors, fantastic service, clean location, comfortable setting, super-duper and most of all, their excellent savors and excellence are consistent! My Wife's fave Phở Tai is always great! My fave Phở Tai Nam is always terrific. Tender tasty meats, incredible broth, fabulously fresh vegetable accoutréments! Yes there are a lot of Pho Noodle joints in the Valley of the Sun. Very few (always considering Vietnamese Regional Phở styles) are so well done. Phở excellence is based on its broth. The right amount of beef bone in the boiling of the broth, the right amount of ginger and onions with not too, too much fish sauce - they have it down pat, almost to perfection. Oh, and by the way, they're monster delish and fresh shrimp rolls are to die for! We've enjoyed shrimp and pork, crispy and fresh. And, I cannot go without saying their Banh Mi Ga is to die for. Thats why we keep coming back and we highly recommend them to the neighborhood and the Valley. We've tried this place a few times and it just isn't good. You'd think that the noodles would be consistent but they were not. They were under done and it was about 10 minutes in that they felt like te correct silky texture. Also tried the ramen and those noodles were thin and toothsome. Came here for a date and they took an hour plus to hand us out food on a slow Thursday afternoon. The ambiance was chill and dim to be honest. When I finally asked the foods eta, I was told they forgot to submit our ticket and had to wait longer. This is not only frustrating but also disappointing. Very low customer service because I assured several times that our food would be out promptly then ignored by our waitress towards the end. Will not be coming again. I hope they stress the important of customer service moving forward. Update.... Stopped by here a few nights ago and got orange chicken and it was probably the best orange chicken I've had in a long time. Most places the chicken is chewy, and over cooked. So I stopped again last night and ordered the Special Combination Fried Rice which includes chicken, beef, and shrimp. I don't think I've ever had a worse dish in my life.... All three meats were so dry and chewy. It was like trying to choke down a terry cloth towel. I didn't even know shrimp could be that dry and chewy. I should have known something was up when they told me it would be about twenty minutes, and they brought the food out in less than five. The two stars are for the servers. They are wonderful, and so nice, but whoever is doing the cooking should be fired for letting that out of the kitchen. $18 in the trash. If I ever come back I'll be testing the food before I leave. Anyone else reading this should do the same. For the prices they're charging you would think they wouldn't let that happen. read more

Not only was the Pho fresh & authentic, all the toppings including the Herbs were packaged just right. & one of the better, just right fried Spring Rolls I've had in a long time. I am so happy this restaurant is doing so well in Laveen because we definitely need more VARIETY of food aside from fast food. Anyways, love Pho and a variety of Vietnamese dishes. I'm house sitting about 10mins away and decided to grab some takeout while I'm in the area after seeing how highly rated it is. It's super small inside (7 tables inside and some outside on the patio) but I love spots like this. I loved how many vegetarian and vegan options there were! I ordered the crispy vegetarian eggrolls, the stir-fried tofu and vegetables with rice, and a mango smoothie. The rolls were nice and crisp. Not many places have vegetarian rolls, so I thoroughly enjoyed these, especially with the peanut dipping sauce. The rice dish was plentiful (enough to split into two lunches for myself), the tofu was cooked well and not too spongy, and it was packed with veggies. Filling and delicious dish!
