    Annual vacation

Pho Thanh is my go to when I need some comfort food. The broth is always amazing and has the stick to your guts warm feeling every spoonful of that soup. Found out they delayed their annual vacation so run and get your fill of Pho. They are out for vacation 2/17-3:21.

This is my first time visiting the restaurant on the corner of 17th to pick up my call-in order of vermicelli with grilled pork sausages. The meal only has 7 small pieces of meat and doesn't match the amount of noodles shown in the photo. The service is quick; they probably just microwave pre-made ingredients and reheat them. The restaurant is quite busy at lunchtime. I also noticed that other foods are more reasonably priced. However, I'm not sure if I will return next time.

Love this hole-in-the-wall spot! Their menu has so many options, and the prices are super affordable. Service is quick, and the food tastes very authentic. I ordered the bún bò huế and the pork blood and pork organ congee to go -- both were really good! They also have homemade chili oil. A great Vietnamese restaurant in town!

This was my first time ever trying pho and it was delicious. The broth was very flavorful. The eggrolls were the best. Very crispy and lots of flavor. The service is very straightforward here so don't expect over the top customer service but they get you in, fed and taken care of. The restaurant is big even when it seems like there's a long line it goes pretty quick.

Pho Thanh is a Phoenix staple - it's the first place I had pho and a place I keep coming back to. Their broth is light and delicious. And the pricing has stayed pretty consistent for the past few years. If you're in town or looking to introduce someone to Vietnamese cuisine, support this business! Note: Pho Thanh has become substantially more popular over the past few years so it tends to get very busy especially on weekends. Plan accordingly! Also: you may be asked to share tables with other patrons, and if you have a large group you will most definitely be waiting longer than folks who come alone or in pairs

Some of the best pho in the valley! We went around 6:30 on a Wednesday and they were pretty busy. There were about 20 people in line, but it only took about 15 minutes to get a table for 3. The workers were hustling tremendously to clear tables quickly, take orders, and deliver waters. It had a bustling but comfortable ambiance with lots of seating in an open space. The food was delicious with some of the best pho broth I've had. The egg rolls, banh mi, and spring rolls were great as well.

I had the pho filet nam and it was pretty flavorful. Very beefy, umami flavor, but could use a little more of that aromatic or herbaceous flavor. Service here is quick, straightforward, not going to have a lot of niceties or small talk lol. Lots of seating here and it's pretty clean and busy. Would go again! Plus, milk run it right next door.

This is hands down the best pho I've had. The broth is incredibly rich, flavorful, and tastes truly authentic, like it's been slow-cooked the way real pho should be. Everything tasted fresh, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better. If you're looking for delicious, authentic pho, this place is a must. I will definitely be coming back.

One of the best pho spots in Phoenix! Although it can get super busy, the line goes by fast. The pho here never misses. They have a variety of soups, noodles, meats, and sides. This spot is one of my go-to pho spots for a reason. If you're around the area, give this spot a try!

I have lived in Arizona my whole life and I can confidently say this is the best Pho in town. I frequented the boba place next door and finally decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed! I got some egg rolls to start off and they absolutely blew my mind away. Egg rolls are something you can get just about anywhere but I can't really tell you I had a good one until I tried the ones at Pho Thanh. They are something crispy but not overly crunchy. The greens they provide are nice and fresh and the sauce is perfect. I also got the Banh Mi Bo Kho and it was so good I didn't take a picture until the end haha. I love having something to dip into a soup and the bread they use here is pretty good. I respect a place that isn't super flashy and just lets you enjoy your food. If you're looking for some authentic pho at a good price and amazing quality look no further than Pho Thanh!

First time at Pho Thanh and it's one a them legit high volume Vietnamese restaurants. Service was excellent. Price was very reasonable. Definitely the best Pho I've had in quite a while. A+ stuff. You rule Pho Thanh!

As many times as I've been here I can say every time I am satisfied. The taste, the potions, the price, and the service. The service is quick and efficient and the pho always satisfies the craving and hunger lol this place has been here for a very long time and any time I want some pho, especially on a rainy day, it's the first place I think of. And Milk Run is right next door which you can get your pho fix and your boba fix all at once.

Do they do catering? Can I order 40 egg rolls for work party?

    Do they take reservations?

They do not. There are however ample tables and I have yet to go there where there is a line out the door. But there are some busy times such as lunch and dinner.

Do they only serve pho using beef broth or do they have chicken broth as well?

    They offer both.

Who do they use for delivery?

They use Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Grub Hub. I have not used any of these delivery services for Pho Thanh, so I'm not sure how accurate their menus are, but it does look like they have contracts with these 3 delivery services.

They are closed on Tuesday's and Fridays now. Yelp doesn't have the updated hours.

After reviewing the menu we decided on Lemongrass chicken with vegetables, beef with vegetables, beef vermicelli, and shrimp vermicelli. Service is always fast here. I ordered the lemongrass chicken. The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. I really hope things improve, especially for long time customers who have supported this place for years Ambience The ambience was very cute and charming. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

But somehow I had saved this one to my map so I came here with a couple friends for dinner last week. It was an icee. That said, it was still delicious and I loved the fresh and fruity boba balls. The flavor was more lychee than strawberry, but I didn't mind. My friends got an appetizer plate and 5-spice chicken. Both enjoyed their food very much. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, but does have sit-down service. Very chill vibes, and prices were fair. The place was clean, staff was attentive, and the peanut sauce that came with my spring rolls wasn't spicy, which I appreciated! The ambience is super comfortable, easy, casual. But, it's *super* loud, like really, really loud. The 4 of us had to literally scream, top of our lungs, to hear each other, and these aren't big tables, it's tight in there, so you're very close together. We left with sore throats from yelling. It felt like "a relief" when we stepped out front. After 2 hours sitting in the wooden seats, my butt was also relieved to be getting up. Parking is ridiculous, it's a very thin one way driveway with *no way to turn around* when you reach the end - back it up! Super tiny parking lot. Food: the food was very good. We ordered 6-8 things for the 4 of us because all items are pretty small. Top section of the menu are called smaller items. They were. Items on the bottom section are bigger, but not big. For perspective, when the 4 of us split an item from the bottom "entree section" we each got 2-3 bites/forks-full. So a full entree for one person is 8-12 bites. All items tasted very good, clearly high quality, well curated and definitely unique to this restaurant. The steamed white rice was hot, steamy, moist and sticky, really good. The Panang Chicken was really good, different, creamy, dark, rich and smokey. I added pictures of the menu, inside, patio, bar and a few food items so you can see for yourself. Would I go back? I would because the service was great, visual atmosphere was comfortable, and food was high quality, but turning the music volume down at least 1/2 way from what we had would go a long way,... a looooong way, seriously. Increasing the portion size of menu entrees would also be an improvement since they're about the same price as larger portions elsewhere. And throw some cushions on those inside wooden benches, our butts will thank you. Overall this was a good first visit and I'd try Glai Baan again, hoping for the same great service, quality food and updates to the other items.

I really wanted to like this spot, especially as a fan of a well-balanced bánh mì. The sandwich was generous and good value, loaded with meat, but the execution didn't quite come together. The vegetables were tucked toward the back of the bun, making it hard to enjoy that classic balance in each bite. The mayo was far too heavy and the meat leaned overly sweet, which threw off the overall flavor. It also could have used more jalapeños and cilantro to bring some freshness and contrast. The bread was crispy, which was nice, but it was much larger in size and shape than a traditional baguette, leaning more toward a big roll than that light, airy texture you'd expect. Overall, good value but missed the mark on balance and authenticity for me. Saluti.
